watched Grease the other night with my buddy and. well. obviously i Had To

#this was a good warm up i think. kinda low quality cause its Small and Not Much Effort Went Into It #but i think the fuzziness adds to the charm. or something like that #ive always loved greasers as a concept and general Thing #anyway now im Thinking about what everyone's 'roles' would be #i think the little greaser group would be wally / sally / barnaby #except theyre the most unconventional greasers ever #sally is all bark and no bite. barnaby is no bark and no bite. wally is just there to look pretty #i think theyd fold frank into the group eventually due to Witnessing His Knack For Violence #i can picture them mostly hanging around a diner #where they all share the single milkshake they can collectively afford #scribble garnish #welcome home #in middle school i absolutely adored the outsiders #we even did a thing for the class where we were assigned 'greaser' or 'soc' and i was So Fucking Delighted to get greaser #assigned greaser by 8th grade english class #got to dress up and everything. i had a blast. so gender.#during that time i would even sit there in class thinking 'i was born in the wrong generation'. delusional? yes #one of my ocs is even a fuckin. universe-hopping assassin greaser #their vibe.... 50s punk...#loved the movie btw. made next to no sense. very charming

I love these 2 ships so I had my fun with the supernatural prompt !! I was like 4 drawings into the whole elves AU when i realized maybe you meant a more modern setting like with vampires and everything so i rushed a 5th one just to be sure- im a clown i know

Context : Kirino is a nymph (flower & water, symbol waterlily) who meets a human boy (Shindou) and takes him home to his parents who are respectively a wood elf (Kaze) and a dark elf (Fudou) !

Finished my yarn ! No pictures yet bc the light sucks today and im somewhat hoping itll puff up a little with blocking anyway. Definitely less yardage than i was hoping for, but it is good to know the maximum amount i can fit on my spindles.

#trickster games #flash #riding the hidden objects trend #it's pretty weak on its own really. like most games from this dev #they mostly did dressup games and occasionally tried another genre #usually something popular among girls like quizzes or restaurant or yeah hidden objects #these games were usually kinda barebones and with low-effort gameplay #it felt like someone more focused on the art #which as you can see wasn't excellent either but was very characteristic #and also kinda... riding the trends of the time like intense contrasting colors anime eyes etc #it's one of those styles where i knew that objectively it was ugly and derivative but personally? i liked it #i dunno. something about things like these is endearing to me. i see art that's the equivalent of cheap plastic and i go full-on heart eyes #but. uh. this also wasn't the case with penny. too flat coloring. more focus on being wacky and random than “pretty”.#it's just kind of there. but in my passion for hidden objects games i played it too. i don't remember coming back to it later though

I was susceptible.#I was blindly accepting certain things that you said about me. Judgement that you had for me.#I was under severe stress from my job at the time; while at the same time dealing with unresolved emotional trauma and very low self worth.#I was burnt out. Crushed... Completely.#I didn't want attention. I did not want you to cure my depression. I though I was just letting you know me. I wasn't aware I was oversharin #I tried... SO HARD to get over the things that triggered me and hurt me but I just couldn't...#I wanted to. I did everything in my might; I took it to therapy; I looked everywhere within me; to either get over it #or completely forget about you and stop caring at all; so things were ok and normal again; but it didn't go away...#to this day...#I just feel so... unsafe... at the idea of talking again #I know I wasn't the best listener and I profoundly regret that.#I was not only thinking about myself like you said and I was aware of the effort that other's put; but I was afraid/resistant to PRECISELY #that cause of past events with other people. Because in some I was the one putting that effort and ended badly for me. Looking back #that was inappropiate of you because you felt too comfortable generalizing my past relationships and why in your head they failed.#“I cant help but feel you are looking down on people who” Stay away from me if you ever make a stretch like this again.#By “experiment” I meant that you don't know how a relatioship with somebody is gonna turn out until you go and try. You cannot convince me that this video's high view count isn't at least half sourced from bots.

It's a good song and decent animation, which would usually have all the makings of a viral video. But I never saw this trending, haven't heard this (admittedly good) song anywhere. Neither it nor the movie it's connected to show up in Google results, and despite 51 Million views in 2 months, hardly anyone is talking about it on Tumblr or Twitter. And despite such a high view count, the promotional tweets and retweets have barely any attention.

Most of the Instagram & YouTube comments for an English song (with no closed captions, English or otherwise) for a movie with a British cast are in Spanish? And a lot of the Instagram posts are advertising the song over and over with nothing new to them. "Hey, we have a thing! Look at it! It exists! :D"

This movie's been in production for a while at least, since 2 years ago a guy named Trevor Wall posted a very similar animation for a band also called The Meeps comprised of nearly the same animals. It seems like a prototype animation to gauge interest (even if the final product is entirely different).

#the meeps #themeeps #my own opinions on this being a lowish budget low effort generic easily marketable cash grab aside #at least the cast seems somewhat interesting and not completely archetypal. Except that damn moose #his bland ass design compared to everyone else fills me with irrational fury. maybe it'll play into his story arc but come on #also the name? The Meeps? The prototype animation suggested they were plush toys so it kinda makes sense #but now that they're real animals?
