the CG of one of the first rhyme fights in dramatical murder, is a corrupted version of the Okinaga household cg from sweet pool!

here is the original CG. if you notice it's using 3d resources, something that dmmd didn't actually have a lot of as backgrounds. the reason is because it's leftovers from the previous game!

if you look at the CG flipped, you can see clearly that it is the Okinaga household living room/kitchen!

in my opinion this is one of the coolest refs on this post. bc i played dmmd before every other n+c game, i genuinely didn't notice this when i first played. its something that only people who played sweet pool would notice, and i just find that so nice! just a lil easter egg for people who know

Mayu's room is FULL of Nitroplus title references. so much that some of them I didn't really recognize besides the obvious, so i literally had to just go through the character lists on nitroplus games to find what characters they were. ur welcome for this incoming information that you may or may not have known

probably one of the most recognizable nitroplus characters in this room is saya from saya no uta, mayu has a figure of her in the middle! (theres more boxes of her but this was the most noticeable imo)

i find it a little funny that they would put these references in because the audience for the people playing nitroplus games vs the audience playing n+c games are like VERY different but nonetheless, pretty cool!

while not a "reference" per se, sweet pool is heavily inspired by saya no uta!

this is something thats just a generally agreed fact, but i felt compelled to include it anyway because i rly love both of these vns and i love rambling abt them. theyre very similar in the ways that they both got meat n gore, and the main characters dealing with the meat n gore, and the general theme of just isolating yourself from people because of it and not exactly having a happy end. fuminori completely giving up his outside life for saya, destroying friendships n whatnot, and youji locking himself in his room and shutting out people who aren't dealing w his lil problem (makoto). the ending where saya wins and the red road ending shares some vibes imo. its all very similar even down to the soundtrack that had some of the same people working on it, and even gen urobuchi himself (writer of saya) worked on sweet pool as an advisor. so in my head its canon that these two games r brother and sister

Arwen: Arwen really hates cooking and figuring out food. She will if she has to but will hate every minute of her, so the best way to get to her heart is to organize that for her. If someone organizes it for her, whether it be cooking for her or getting her favorite takeout, she just melts. Marcia thankfully loves to cook, so they work well together lmao. Marcia: Marcia loves to be spoiled and told how wonderful and appreciated she is. She really loves experiences - fancy date nights, couples dates at the spa, impromptu weekend getaways….stuff like that. Saoirse: Saoirse really loves when people very obviously listen to her and remember things she’s said and act on those things. She teaches high school, and while she loves her students and what she does, it does get really frustrating sometimes because it can feel like she’s speaking to a wall and has to spend the majority of her day repeating herself. Someone hanging on her every word, and remembering something she’d said weeks ago and bringing it up later is something that just makes her feel SO special and loved. Jasmine: Little acts of service make Jasmine feel really loved. She’s so used to having to be hyper-competent at work and it makes her melt a bit when someone does something for her, even if she’s perfectly capable of and planning on doing something herself. Sometimes she’ll come home after a long, hard day of work, and the house is clean, and Saoirse’s just gotten dinner in the oven, and she kisses her cheek and tells her she’ll draw her a bath and pour her a glass of wine, and she’s all 🥺🥺🥺. It works platonically, too. If one of her coworkers takes the time to grab her a coffee from the cart without her asking, she just dies lmao

☕ - Coffee or tea?

Arwen: Arwen loves iced coffee no matter the weather. Even when it’s freezing, she prefers iced coffee over hot. She usually takes it with oat milk and whatever syrup she’s feeling that day, usually hazelnut vanilla. Marcia: Marcia is a tea kind of person. She loves all kinds of tea, but she tends to prefer earl gray or herbal teas. With earl gray, she takes it with a little bit of cream and sugar, and with herbal teas she’ll add a bit of honey. Not too much, just enough to give it a little bit of sweetness. Saoirse: Saoirse is a coffee person, preferably as black as her soul. Even better would be an IV of coffee directly into her veins, but that’s not possible yet lol. She really likes nitro cold brews, or just plain black coffee. Jasmine: Jasmine is neither a coffee or tea person. She doesn’t really like the taste of either, but will consent to drinking tea when she’s sick (only because her throat always hurts SO bad when she’s sick. That and cough drops are the only things that help). To get her caffeine fix, she usually opts for the largest size available of either Diet Coke or Coke Zero. 

💀 - How do they feel about horror movies?

Arwen: Arwen doesn’t really like horror movies. She thinks they’re dumb, and has no interest in watching them. Marcia: Marcia doesn’t like horror movies. She was raised really religious, and although she’s deconstructed years ago, she still doesn’t really fuck with spooky stuff. She doesn’t really believe in it anymore, but It’s just kind of a holdover from it being drilled into her head that horror and paranormal stuff is satanic lmao. Saoirse and Jasmine: They do enjoy horror movies, but really only during spooky season when they can really get in the mood for it. They won’t really watch any of them outside of October.

💖 - How and how often do they try to impress their partner(s)? How and how often do their partner(s) impress them?

This might be kind of a boring answer, but I don’t really feel like any of these four ever try to impress their partner! They’re all pretty secure and established in their relationship, and any impressing they do is completely unintentional. Marcia may occasionally try and impress Arwen, if only to be given praise lmao.

On a bit of a tier list kick and realised “goddamn I’ve played a lot of different Mario Kart games recently” so decided to rank them :D

Idc what anyone says Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most fun I’ve had playing any of these. “But it’s so much easier” “but the booster course is just a cash grab” I don’t care!! I enjoy it!! There so many tracks to choose from and all of their soundtracks are so goddamn good!! Plus the booster course is slowly improving the character roster which is amazing!! I know it’s the old “new=good” thing but this time it’s true I’m sorry

On the other hand, Mario Kart Wii. I’m nostalgic I’m sorry but can you really blame me when this game literally ruled my childhood from ages 5-10? So many cool and iconic nitro tracks and the best character roster in the whole series. I’d love to play it again if my wii remotes weren’t broken

Okay so I didn’t remember all that much about Mario Kart DS. I knew I had it when I was a kid but other than a few courses I had mostly forgotten about the game, but I bought it second hand the other day and omg. This game slaps. It’s so fucking fun and I can’t believe I forgot about it. Straight to top A tier

Mario Kart 7 is also probably a nostalgia based pick tbh but it was the game that actually made me play Mario Kart properly. I learned to drift in MK7 and overall appreciated the competitive side of the series a lot more. Also it has my all time favourite track, Melody Motorway :) (or Music Park for Americans)

Honestly the only reason I enjoyed Mario Kart 64 as much as I did was because it’s so fucking chaotic and brutal to the point where it’s funny. Drifted too far? Approached the jump awkwardly? Oops you’re now facing backwards and in last place! Some of the courses are ridiculously long *cough* Rainbow Road which lowers it

Probably a bit controversial but I do enjoy Tour. I haven’t played in over a year but late 2021 - mid 2022 I played it to DEATH because one of my irls got me back into it and coincidentally this was a pretty rough period in my life, so I do owe it one for keeping me stable. Kinda sucked that they got rid of the gatcha feature though :(

Mario Kart Super Circuit is really tricky for me but I really like the graphics. That’s probably it’s only saving grace lmao. Maybe I just find the GBA era of pixel graphics to be endearing idk. It has the same level of brutality as N64 but nowhere near as fun

I have played the arcade game a few times in amusements and it is fun :) that’s it. I don’t play it enough to actually have a proper opinion.

Og Mario Kart is very annoying and the tracks and boring. If I see their asses as a retro track I am not happy >:(

Never owned a Wii U so I never played the og Mario Kart 8 but all I know is that MK8D vastly improved on a lot of its flaws over the years so ultimately it is just better. Also I desperately want to play Double Dash (please add GameCube games to the switch Nintendo holy shit) and I would rank it high because all the tracks that have been turned into retro tracks are so so fun.

If I wanted to get into Omori, is there anyone who's done a good playthrough of it?

I can think of a couple! (I think all of these are blind playthroughs?)

I personally really enjoyed ManlyBadassHero's playthrough, and Shenpai's playthrough! Shenpai had Twitch Chat off to the side too! Here's a highlight video they did!

Merg just finished the main route recently and it's one of the more detailed ones since he got the highest WTF Value for the events (like Undertale's FUN values for Gaster, it's randomly generated at the start of a playthrough). I'd say it's my favourite playthrough of OMORI so far because he really tried to show off as much as he could; for reference he was one sidequest off doing every sidequest in the overworld!

Danielle from Counselor Plays is a therapist who is doing a playthrough and giving a psychology analysis throughout, which is really interesting to see because she's picked up on a lot of foreshadowing super quickly! At the time of this ask she's not done yet but she's close! She's also been blurring out some of the more disturbing content so there's that!

Pr1vateLime has also done a great playthrough of both routes in the game so I'd recommend them too if you're interested in the Hikikomori Route later!

Tuonto (I watch them play Genshin Impact sometimes) did a good two parter stream of it! And they're not done yet, but Dish (another person I watch play Genshin Impact) is playing it too! They have finished it but they're still uploading it I think.

A lot of the HoloLive crew did it as well, but I've only watched Calliope Mori's playthrough.

Lastly, while it's not a playthrough, I'd highly recommend Nitro Rad's review, but it has massive spoilers, so maybe watch it once you're done with watching/playing it or decided you don't mind spoilers (this game made me cry more than Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so I can't stress this enough: don't spoil yourself unless you're sure you've seen a full playthrough or you've beat it yourself lmao)

The routine goes as follows:

Bakugou waits for Kirishima at the front door, arms crossed and a varying degree of pissed off depending how late he's running. Kirishima complains about the train being postponed or too full or delayed in some way – which is true, damn it, it’s like the universe has doomed his train line and none other in all of Japan to be the statistical outlier in an otherwise spotless record of punctuality – and begs for forgiveness, usually by bribing Bakugou with some post-workout coffee.

It works surprisingly well. A month into this and Kirishima is about ready to join one of those conspiracy theory servers Kaminari is so fond of because Bakugou is actually pretty lenient, death threats and crackling palms aside.

(That being said, Kirishima enjoys life and living and chasing after his dreams, so he will never breathe a word about that particular observation to anyone, least of all Bakugou himself.)

They usually got the gym to themselves, the employees on the early shift always looking vaguely relieved that at least someone is making use of their opening hours. Kirishima’s never been a regular anywhere aside from perhaps the manga store a few blocks from his home, so it feels a bit special to have this implicit claim to the training area made for heat-based quirks every Saturday morning.

Bakugou snorted when Kirishima told him that, muttering what sounded like fucking nerd under his breath.

The rest is pretty straight-forward. Kirishima’s been on a daily workout schedule for a good year by this point, and it’s clear Bakugou is used to it too. They stretch, do some warm-ups (in Bakugou’s case, quite literally) and off they go.

The thing is: It’s fun. Like, really, really fun. Really loud, too, especially when Bakugou’s got his sweat on and comes at him point-blank and flashy like fireworks personified. By the first session, Kirishima already realized it’s a lost cause trying to talk during training because all Bakugou replies with is an exasperated “Hah?!” no matter what he says.

It’s not like Kirishima could’ve heard himself speak anyways, his ears always left ringing something fierce from all the close-quarter explosions. Bakugou is a stranger to the concept of holding back or taking things by half measures, that much hasn’t changed.

Elsewhere, it might’ve taken a while for Kirishima to push his quirk to the point where his skin breaks out in cracks and ridges, his arms and shoulders and hair turning unyielding and clear-cut like miniature mountains. Not here, though: Not when the choices are to put his best foot forward with every move, or have Bakugou tear his throat out for daring to waste his time. There’s something so freeing about letting loose like that – a thrill that sends Kirishima’s heart on a war path and his pulse soaring until all that’s left are his instincts and quick reflexes.

Like this, every time he gets a hit in or a blast manages to leave a mark on his body, Bakugou grins and Kirishima grins back. Like this, the bruises and lost hours of sleep pale in comparison to just how bright Bakugou’s eyes can shine.

Kirishima brushes off the last traces of carbon dust off his arms to start massaging the sore muscles there. With U.A.’s Sports Festival a mere handful of days away, both of them kept going until their quirks started to sputter.

A strange comfort, to sit in mutual exhaustion like this. It’s not even noon but Kirishima could totally go for a nap, right there on the black, fire-proof tiles. Leaning back on his hands, he hums and asks:

“So. What’s the deal with Midoriya?”

A few feet from him, Bakugou pauses in rolling his shoulders. The black tank top he’s wearing is positively plastered to his body with sweat, his track pants saved from the same fate by how bulky they are.

“What?”

Too late, it occurs to Kirishima to feel nervous. The sensation is dim against the warmth still clinging to his skin though, that minute ache that comes with becoming stone for too long. “Being around him pisses you off. What’s up with that?”

Bakugou stares at him. His expression is hard to read, firmly within the realm of his default frown. “The fuck, Shitty Hair. What’s it to you?”

Uh oh. Kirishima sits up, mostly to raise his hands in a placating gesture, palm-up. “Just curious, bro. Honest. Been wondering for a while so I thought I’d ask, y’know?”

As bold as Kirishima aims to be, lying Bakugou in the face when his gaze is sharp enough to cut a bitch would be a monumentally stupid move. Bakugou seems to come to the same conclusion, even if his scoff is plenty aggressive.

“None of your fucking business, that’s what’s up with it. Fucking… Deku, bah.”

To say the silence that follows is loaded is the understatement of the century. Kirishima chews on his tongue, about a thousand questions balancing on its tip; it’s like the Midoriya he sees is the polar opposite of the one Bakugou blows a fuse over on a regular basis, and the why behind it is kind of starting to haunt him. (It doesn’t help that everyone in 1-A treats him as some sort of expert in all things Bakugou instead of interacting with the guy directly.)

One glance at Bakugou and he swallows it all down. Only now, with any and all traces of it gone, does Kirishima realize how calm he had looked. “…Coffee?”

Bakugou picks himself off the ground and leaves without another word.

He is a ride or die simp above all else. Whatever adventure you’re going on, he’s down to join with just because it means more time with you. You may have to drag him to the gym with you if you go in the mornings but once you’re there he’s your cheerleader from start to finish. Video games and guitar he gets and he’ll play games or jam with you all day every day. You wanna sing loudly and poorly? He’s right there with you, matching you note for terrible note. He’s down for spontaneous, in fact he prefers it that way, and he loves taking you on spontaneous little late night adventures.

Denki is 100% a physical touch and words of affirmation kid of guy. He loves holding you in his arms or playing with your fingers or just being physically close to you in whatever way he can. He’ll shower you with all the love and affection you can handle and he’s obsessed with big romantic gestures. He’s been taking mental notes during every romantic film he’s ever seen ever and he cannot wait to finally use that knowledge to spoil you. He’s gonna give you the same caring and encouraging, whole heart energy right back to you in the relationship. Imma be honest, Denki is kind of a mess but he’s going to try so hard to take care of you, especially knowing how much you take care of others. So be patient with him, it’ll take him a second but he’ll get the hang of it and learn how to take care of you exactly the way you need.

It doesn’t take much longer for you guys to arrive at Sonic, pulling into one of the drive up stalls. You both order as soon as you arrive and the novelty of having someone roller skate up to your window to deliver your food only adds to the overall excitement of the night. Soon you’ve got the windows back up, talking and laughing as you polish off your food. Time passed quickly even though it’s late but you never grow bored of talking with each other, bouncing from topic to topic.

The flow of conversation is only interrupted when Denki notices your favorite song start playing over the speakers. He beams at you, hurrying to turn the volume up as high as you two can stand and as soon as the first words start you both sing along at the top of your lungs. It’s off pitch and loud and you both keep laughing in the middle of trying to sing which only makes matters worse, but as Denki looks over at you the only thing he can think is how much he loves you.

So the next time you go to take a breath he reels you into him instead, kissing you breathless. He only separates from you when your lungs’ demand oxygen and even then he presses another peck to your lips. The words that come out of his lips next flow straight from his heart and he knows with his entire being that he means every single one:

Can we get back to the robots now pls. - AAAAA BUMBLEBEE'S "STING LIKE A BEE" LINE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - that ending was pretty sudden lmao. A lot of this movie was sudden and fast. They just jump cut STRAIGHT to those credits man not even an ending panorama or clean slow zoom out shot or anything lmao - AND OH BOY THEY TEASED UNICRON’S GONNA ACTUALLY COME BACK AND APPEAR IN ANOTHER MOVIE AAAAAAA OH NO OH BOY NOT AGAIN GOSH DARN IT LMAO 

All in all, surprisingly, I actually ended up kinda enjoying it!! Like it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!! Tbh for me it might even be second best in the series!! (First being the first movie from 2008 lmao) Honestly I was really REALLY surprised at how much I didn't hate it. Like. I still dislike it to a degree because it's still Bayverse, and I probably won't watch it again unless I'm with friends (like I do with the rest of the transformers movies) but it honestly wasn't too too bad! It really exceeded my expectations as far as plot, and I wasn't hardcore cringing for most of the movie so hey that's a plus!! The movie had a lot of genuinely funny moments, especially with Cogman, which got some pretty good laughs outta me like I was really having fun at those parts!! Optimus’ absence for most of the movie didn’t sit well with me for some reason. Like it just felt strange. But it kinda had to be for the story to move forward so I guess I can forgive that lol. The pacing was REALLY whack and way too fast though. Like they were REALLY trying to cram a whole lotta stuff into a relatively short amount of time. The movie's almost two and a half hours long but it really didn't feel like that because of how fast the pacing was. Some of the dialogue felt really forced because of this issue too. It didn’t feel genuine sometimes. But that has to be like, pretty much my only specific issue with it?? surprisingly?? wow. I'm honestly super shocked lmao dang man I didn’t think I’d like this movie at all but I was very much proved wrong!! I hated those old ladies tho and their obsession to get Vivian a boyfriend and the whole innuendo thing. Yeah. No. Don't do that. Stop. I'm too ace for this.

I have a similar ask somewhere asking about Kaminari’s parents as well, so I guess I’ll answer both here?? As a general rule I don’t really like making headcanons over stuff I’m sure the manga will give me in the future, so I can’t say I’ve thought about this too much - there are a few things I work under the assumption of while drawing, like for example I’m taking for granted they both have at least functional families, considering Aizawa personally visited their homes to ask their guardians about allowing them back to school, and if anything had been weird he would have noticed

I like to think Kaminari got his quirk straight from one of his two parents with no mixing happening, and got the Kaminari surname from them as well, but that’s all I ever allowed myself to settle on as far as Kami’s family goes, everything else changes based on what I need for the current scenario I’m thinking about… I do often end back on him being an only child, though - in the same way depending on how angst or lighthearted I want it to be my ideas for Kirishima’s family change a lot, but generally I think I mostly fall back on the idea of him having a big family? In a scenario like that his parents are kind and love him a lot, but having many children and needing to split their attention on all of them might cause them to overlook him a little (it would explain his obsession with being flashy, for me) then again, who knows? I don’t know how canon you can consider the infos SMASH gives, but in one of the strips Kiri mentions working part-time, and the fact that he doesn’t seem to have problems with money kinda makes me believe he might be independent from his family like that (unless he’s a rich kid, also very entertaining as a possiblity)

I’ve seen a lot of headcanons floating around about both of these guys’ families and possibly being related to villains, that would be cool too, though I’m not sure how much I believe it

I’m sorry this ended up being little to no useful at all lol as I said, I just shift between scenarios a lot - imagine settling on one and growing attached and then having to let it go once Hori proves it wrong, that’d be terrible for me

(I can’t say I share the hc though, since until they fought together during the USJ attack Kirishima did think of Bakugou’s quirk as Everything He Ever Wanted™, but he didn’t seem to be much into Bakugou himself? To My Best Friend

Dear Alison ( @emisonisforever )

It is Internet Best Friend day and I wanted to take this moment to recognize one of the most important people in the world to me, you.

The first time we ever spoke was May 28th, 2015. You had met Ed Sheeran that night and under weird circumstances, we started talking through Tumblr and ever since that day, we have been us. I thank my lucky stars for that day.

After months of hours upon hours of Facetime calls, we finally met in person in Grand Central Station, New York City, on August 21st 2015. I was awkward as all hell, you were blue haired and as amazing as I knew you would be. We walked through Manhattan, had lunch in Soho and went to that bakery where you smashed your cupcake. (Still angry about that). We spent the entire day together, walking through shops and finally feeling the presence of our best friend that we waited for for so long. It was beautiful, and I hated saying goodbye to you then, and I still do every single time.

Next, you came to my town on the weekend of October 16th 2015 (I think?). That first trip here meant so much to me, Alison. I finally got to bring you into my life, my own world. I got to show you where I lived, where I went to school, I got to introduce you to all of my friends, and my family. It was the first time that our friendship felt real to me, that you were just someone that has always been around, and someone that I never wanted to see go. It wasn’t weird or unusual, it felt like we hang out every weekend. That’s what I’ve always loved about us, our friendship has always felt right.

Our journey then takes us to October 31st, 2015 where I first traveled to your town. We had the best pizza I have ever had on this planet and we partied (too much, way too much…). But it was a weekend I will never forget, you took me into your world, you introduced to me to your friends and it was the first time I felt fully connected to you. There’s something different about stepping into your best friend’s life for the first time, it was then when I started to wish that I was the one living next door to you, having sleepovers on weekends and seeing you whenever I wanted, I still hate that we can’t.

After that, a few months went by and on December 28th, 2015, my friends and I traveled to you. And though we got lost in Brooklyn and spent hours in the car, it was worth it. I know you didn’t feel well and it wasn’t the weekend you planned, but I promise you it was still amazing to me because it was just another weekend I had my best friend by my side.

This is where it gets sad, it took us almost a full year to see each other again. BUT, FEAR NO MORE because on November 11th, 2016 you came back here and it felt like not a day had gone by. Still, this to me was one of the best weekends I have ever spent with you. We spent the weekend traveling from arcade to arcade (after getting kicked out of one) we bowled, went on a “picnic” (car picnic because it was way too cold to sit outside) and spent the rest of it staying up late talking and driving around all night blasting Adele and your foreign jams (Lmao).

And this then takes me to January 6th, 2017 where I traveled to you again and spent the weekend. Another collection of moments I will never forget. We made it through the blizzard, eating THE AMAZING PIZZA, getting ice cream, bowling, the aquarium and just being us. I didn’t care what we did, every second was just wonderful because it wasn’t just a facetime call, it was us, being best friends, and I wish that could happen every single day.

Not a day goes by where I wish I could knock on your door in a moments notice, where I wish when I’m crying or in need of advice, we could sit in my basement and talk instead of look at each other through a screen. But though we don’t have that, that does not make our friendship any less beautiful. I would rather spend every moment we ever have on Facetime than to never have you at all. Just a text from you is enough, it always will be.

Alison, I want to say thank you. Thank you for listening to me, always, no matter how much your world is turned upside down. Thank you for understanding where I come from, even though I’m insane, you somehow find the balance and make me feel more myself. Thank you for accepting me for who I am, not for who anyone else wants me to be, for making me feel as though who I am is enough. Thank you for making me feel worthy of love, of friendship, of this world, thank you for giving me the confidence and helping me see who I am. Thank you for listening to me talk about Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Mendez until I turn blue. But most of all, thank you for giving me you. Thank you for sharing your issues with me, for letting me listen to you talk, which I could do all day. No matter whether it’s about Lauren or Holland or Emison or Nitro or your stupid Calc homework, I am always here at any time of the day or night, forever and ever. It is an honor to be your best friend.

And I am sorry, unbelievably sorry, for all of the times I have let you down. I am nowhere near perfect, or will ever be good enough to be your friend, but I will try every day to prove that even though I am constantly messing up, I will never stop trying to be the best friend I can be, because you deserve that. I’m sorry that I’m not all that I can be, but I am trying to change and I am trying to be better, I want to be better. You deserve more than a lot of what I’ve given you in this friendship, and I am sorry that I have disappointed you, it breaks my heart, but please know that it does not take away from how much our friendship matters to me, because it is everything.

Happy Internet Best Friend Day Alison, you mean the absolute world to me and never in a million years will that ever change. I look forward to watching you succeed with that brilliant mind of yours and to seeing you again (LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!). I look forward to watching you show the world your talent and your beauty.
