We all know by now Andrew and Neil are light sleepers because of trauma and being in unsafe places but I just read some of the extras and I picture this scenario:

Andrew wakes up night after night when the cats jump onto the bed the first few months because he is not used to their weight and they didn't learn yet to do get on from Neil's side.

Neil of course gets woken up by Andrew's panic and gets worried (he's also starttled at first) and tries to help and reassure him, but at the end neither of them goes back to sleep.

At the beggining is fine, they are both used to fucked up schedules but they are people and obvious they start to get cranky and fight a lot (more) during the day for silly reasons. Other people is noticing it too and then it affects their performance on the court.

So one night, Andrew decides to "sleep" on the couch (he thinks he could be awake all night binging some show to avoid beeing paranoid) and this is because he saw that Neil really needed to sleep well at least one night. He does not feel guilty, tho, he's just Andrew and cares for Neil way more than he cares about himself.

Ok.

So that night he innevitably falls asleep and is woken up by Sir who is now on his chest curled up as a fluffy ball.

He starts to get mad, but he can't. Not really when he picks the cat up and it is sooooo soft. And then Sir tries to lick his hands (he might be snacking when he passed out) and lets out a quiet "meow" because he can't reach him well.

And Andrew looses it. He starts laughing to the point he cries.

Because everything is fine. It's just a cat. His cat.

And no matter how broken he is, Sir would love him and do it again a million times more. Because he had chosen him.

Just like Neil who's staring at this situation in silence from the livingroom door.

You know what makes me sit in silence everytime i think about it?

The fact that Andrew was attracted to every version of Neil.

He thought he was hot when he still had his brown eyes/brown hair

He thought he was hot when he had blue eyes/brown hair

He thought he was hot when he had blue eyes/auburn hair and the number 4 tattooed under his eye. ”you are a pipe dream“ , he said, looking at Neils bruised and most honest self.

Then Baltimore. Neil got tortured. Got bruised all over his skin, scars that’ll never be forgotten and what does Andrew do? He asks yes or no and kisses his hip.

It sure af wasn’t love at first sight but the fact that his initial attraction never faded gives you a hint about what Neil is for Andrew.

(Not to mention how the versions of Neil changed the more Andrew learned about Neil as well. First he was Neil. Then he was Abram. Then he was Nathaniel. Until he finally became Neil Abram Josten.

All the lies. All the truths. It all came together and Andrew was there during all of it).

It just dawned on me that Bark Bark von Barkenstein exists in the AFTG universe BEFORE Sir Fat Cat McCatterson and King Fluffikins.

Now, I refuse to believe that Andrew and Neil did not get their inspiration from a cardboard cut out of a dog.

I am just imagining that Andriel 'meet' Bark Bark and think it's just so funny, and it's like a little inside joke for years until they find their two dumpster kittens and name them appropriately.

funniest part about aftg is undeniably the fact that andrew thought liking neil was a side effect of him being high 24/7 and then he comes back sober and realises not only was it not a side effect of the drugs but it’s gotten worse, and it turns out those feelings are reciprocated so he ends up with a whole ass boyfriend who now has absolutely no filter bc he’s not being chased by his serial killer father anymore

Every writer who gives - between Sir and King - one a "Neil" disposition and one an "Andrew" disposition, and then making the "Neil" cat prefer Andrew and the "Andrew" cat prefer Neil - you're all geniuses

Shortly after Neil and Andrew got the cats, Andrew texts Jean a picture of a cardboard cat with the attached message of ‘this is Sir.’ He provides absolutely no context, leaving that as the only visual Jean has to mentally attach to the cats. Jean believes him.

Jean now expects that when someone (in a very specific group of people) says they have a pet it will be made of cardboard. For a while, he thinks when Neil texts him about the cats that they have now become absolutely delusional and begun making Jeremy Knox level fictional stories and life updates for fictional animals. (If they are made of cardboard how did they break that? Stop using your cardboard cats as an excuse, Neil. You’re the one who ripped up that chair.)

This continues for a very long time, because Jean doesn’t actually say any of that to him because of conveniently being sidetracked, so when Jean meets them for the first time he just kind of blue screens. It hits him that these are real adorable animals who are not being a menace like Neil to him and the others are jealous the cats warmed up to Jean on his first visit so fast.

He tells Jeremy what he thought, and he absolutely loses it. Jean has never been so disappointed in everyone around him

Headcanon:

sometimes when it’s a good day for Andrew but Neil has a nightmare they will just lay awake holding each other.

To Neil it’s like Andrew is holding him back from running. A physical weight reminding him that he doesn’t need to book it the second he feels to comfortable.

Andrew knows doing this is grounding for Neil. He also knows that Neil would never ask for this if Andrew wasn’t completely comfortable with it. That makes it safe. If Andrew says no they could go for a drive or out for a cigarette or literally anything but this but he knows how much Neil likes this and Andrew would gladly sacrifice a sleepless night in exchange for Neil’s happiness.

Anyway this got a little out of my control so basically they find comfort in each other and that makes me feel feelings.

dan gets a video camara and starts filming the foxes. years later, she founds all the tapes and makes a compilation

kevin chews gum, like, a lot. gum 24/7. its either mint or watermelon flavoured

the foxes give wymack a "n1 coach" mug for father's day one year. he pretends he is annoyed but he uses it everyday

cat goes full gay panic when laila calls her catalina or cata, laila knows it so she does it on purpose

even though kevin prefers and mostly plays left-handed, sometimes he will just switch hands mid-games. like, "you thought you could mark me? sorry pal" and changes hands. it drives his opponements insane. they get used to him playing right-handed, he just switches back to his left. every defense player and coach hates him for that.

king mirrors andrew and sir mirrors neil

andrew and king have staring contents. king sits in the kitchen counter and andrew has to cook but doesnt want to move her so they stare at each other for entire minutes in complete silence. (king loses and leaves on her own to the couch). this happens more often than one would think

the cats LOVE neil's lap, specially sir. neil cant sit without getting a cat on his lap almost inmediately
