Career with Imagine Dragons
Initially reluctant to become a professional musician; was advised to only pursue music if he felt compelled to.
Met and recruited drummer Andrew Tolman in Utah to form Imagine Dragons.
Won BYU's "Battle of the Bands" and other local competitions.
Bassist Ben McKee joined in Las Vegas.
Drummer Daniel Platzman joined after Tolman's departure in 2011.
Relocated to Las Vegas and began performing almost nightly as a lounge act.
Caught their first big break in 2009 at the Bite of Las Vegas Festival, performing for over 26,000 people.
Signed with Interscope Records in November 2011 and began working with producer Alex da Kid.
