Like, Android! Reader is already so clingy and sensitive, following her masters around like a broken roomba around the house. Ruan Mei kinda finds it amusing and she decides to ignore you to see what you do when you don’t get her attention. Cue you whining and clinging to her legs, wondering if you did something wrong as Ruan Mei taps away at her computer, completely ignoring you in favor of another machine. I can see Android! Reader jealously glaring at Ruan Mei’s laptop.

Eventually you will get fed up and decide to seek out another master for attention, and this is when Ruan Mei finally moves. She grabs your wrist and pulls you back to her desk, giving you a light fondle and giving you the attention you so desperately craved. She smiles to herself when she sees you immediately melt in her arms, completely forgetting why you were upset with Ruan Mei in the first place.

Once you’ve had your fill however, Ruan Mei is back to playing the hot and cold game with you. Except this time she’s left you tied to her office desk with your nether regions heating up and your internal fans whirring constantly. You feel so, so sensitive and in need of Ruan Mei’s touch, but she just goes back to that damned computer. Using those hands of hers to click away at the keyboard, when she could be using them to finger your motherboard 🩷

so, with amazon getting more and more evil about not letting you own the things you buy from them, I finally went ahead and scraped the drm off my kindle books. while it did require a bunch of setup, the process itself was pretty easy and less intimidating than I had feared, so I want to share some helpful tools I used if you want to do the same but aren't sure where to start:

kinda funny how most programmers would prefer to not have to touch apple products with a ten-foot pole but if you talk to basically any designer over like 25 they'll swear up and down and backwards to friday that nothing could ever hold a candle to any apple product

Android Hal

Now a lot of what makes Hal so interesting is the ‘lack’ of a body and all that but I just think this is a fun thing to do.

He’s heavily inspired by a few 1920s-1930s actors, I think at heart he’s a old fashioned young man. A romantic hidden well beneath his logic. Absolutely useless headcanon for regular Hal is that he only knows songs 1890s-1930s, so I think ideally if he ever dressed himself he’d do have period attire.

Ive seen this idea from someone else and loved it but only his head, hands and some of his shoulders have fake skin the rest is purely robotic. It’s covered by the jumpsuit so it’s not as big of a deal (not featured as I do not have the drawing skill…) additionally not my idea but I love the Tin man style idea of his lense being on his chest over where a heart would be.

I’m not very good at drawing robotics but he’d be very 60s to go with the aesethics of everything else. A little bit rough round the edges more practicality that of looks. Frank never makes repairs because his T-800 lookin ass is terrifying at times.

The body only exists for very specific tasks and doesn’t have that many higher functions like his actual body ( the discovery itself). The android is more a ? Roundabout way of giving Hal a pair of hands and easing the crew. It’s easier to ask another person a question than a computer

ive always thought that the deal with apple vs other computers is that apple products are designed with extreme user-friendliness in mind, to the exclusion (or at least hiding) of options that a tech-savvy user might want, because it might confuse and overwhelm someone who doesn't care about or know how to use those options. to me, this feels an awful lot like making it less user-friendly because it's difficult or impossible to do the things that i think i should be able to, but it probably is a lot easier for a certain type of person. besides, the designers of apple products are also tech people, and i do not envy their job of having to decide what is and isn't relevant to the Average User

then i try to interact with a modern apple product, or worse, try to guide a client through interacting with their apple product, and i realize that it's no longer friendly for literally anyone and i don't know how they're still in business
