Great words by @angelroseturner ・・・ It finally feels like fall, and that means I’m gonna hoard anything that resembles the spirit of autumn everytime I go into town for the next two months. Just because 😁🍂🎃 . . . On a much more serious note, today is #mentalhealthawarenessday and I know this isn’t the most comfortable thing to speak about. The heavy stuff. - We live in such a visual age & it’s easy to have understanding and compassion towards something we can see like a broken bone. But when something is broken inside it’s a bit more difficult. We’re more quick to pass judgment if someone reaches out for help with a mental condition such as depression, anxiety, bipolar and the list goes on. Just like any sickness you have mild to the extreme cases. . . . - So my friend, To the new mother battling ppd and feels like a failure as a mother, to the teen that is tired of fighting an anxiety filled battle inside and turns to drugs or self harm, to the young girl with an eating disorder, to the person having invasive thoughts that keep you feeling scared and filled with anxiety- PLEASE Know you are absolutely not alone! So so many of us deal with things no one knows about. I’ve personally struggled with anxiety since my early teens and I know first hand what a mind battle it can be. — If you need help or your feeling hopeless, PLEASE find someone and talk.
