At times, she cursed her parents for moving to Japan.

As a teenager, being in Spain was bad enough. The monsters that lurked around corners of dark allies and old architecture that plagued much of Spain. It did have a dark history after all. The Spanish Kingdom was well known to bring destruction and pain through out the entirety of the word in the past, and due to this bloodied past, it seemed to taint the very landscape of the country with hauntings. Many of priests from the Catholic church tried their hardest to exorcise the beings that ran rampant, but they weren't using the right techniques it seemed as the 'demons' still consumed everything they could. Not many could see them, some could, most of them being part of the church. Ceres was an odd case it seemed, as she had the unfortunate ability to be able to perceive them as well.

Trying to explain what she saw to her parents was futile... even when they moved to Japan and the sightings were worse, they still ignored their daughter who continued to suffer. It's then when Ceres decided it best to not even talk about it. Maybe she was seeing things. Was it all really hallucinations?

No. They felt too real... they had to be real.....right?

The young vet sighed as she cleaned up the clinic. Making sure that the animals that were present were fed and comfortable. She would need to check on them in the morning, but for right now, they seemed to be at peace despite their sickness. Her amber eyes flashed with happiness listening to one of the feline patients pur gently as she gave it a gentle pet. All seemed calm in the office. Observing her surroundings, she let out a satisfied nod, happy with her work before officially deciding to leave. Gathering her belongings she soon walked out the door, locking it, and placed the key into her coat pocket. Oops. She had forgotten to put her lab coat back, but it was fine, she'd clean it and return with it in the morning.

That's when she heard the inhumane screech behind her, the pressure of death wafting around her. No. She froze, her breath hitched in her throat, amber eyes wide in fear before she slowly turned to face the threat behind her, a choking sound erupting from her throat. Her eyes glowed with intense fear at the being behind her. No. It's roar shook her to her very core, causing her to stumble slightly, her hands trembling as she caught herself on the lamp post nearest her. "N-no..." What could she do? Her fight or flight instincts just kicking in, adrenaline coursing through her veins before deciding to turn on heel, sprinting. Her shoes clacked harshly against the cement as she ran, not even looking behind her. Was it following? She still felt it. She just needed to make it home, right? There was no way, she was still so far. Fuck.

-> The hydra in chains would bring assurance to no one in Greece---chains could break at any time. It could be set free by one villainous individual, or even unleashed with direction on every marble metropolis. It is why beheading it was the only option from the start; never mind that Herakles walked straight into its domain and expected to be touted a hero, or that not once had anyone attempted to reason with the monster. It's head had to come off, their stumps seared closed. That was the way.

-> Perhaps Lyric will be quartered and cauterized as the beast of legend was. It certainly felt that way with how they're hauled around by their elbows, wrists cuffed tight behind their back. They are transported in a paddy wagon stuffed full of hot, dry air to keep their quirk out of reach ( not that they could shape much with their hands as they were. they could expand its range and do their best handsfree, but it wouldn't compare ) and the heat slinks down their throat like a slow swallow of sand, scratching their inner skin dry and forcing stilted coughs from their lungs. They try to shift their arms in the cuffs into a more relaxing position and find none before their head is cruelly pushed down so that they are forced into a mock bowing position, cheeks nearly between their knees with the push. Their breathing becomes haggard and short from the crunch of their abdomen and lungs, never quite able to breath in as deep as they like in this position, and it stays as such for the entire uncomfortable ride to the containment facility. They have a right to an attorney and appeal, they think, if anyone would dare to take them. But it's hard to think about that when they're being pulled so hard their shoulder sockets feel sore and their feet heart from hours of standing.

-> They are kept in a room of harsh, full spectrum lights that radiate heat. They're the kind they use in lizard habitats but larger, Lyric thinks to themselves as their skin begins to bristle from all the faux-sunlight exposure, They don't trust me not to pull something. Across from them, behind a thick pane of glass so dense they couldn't punch through it even if they tried, stands a Hero. Even they know the name of this one, from magazines on the streets and news casts and happy crying children even when they were afraid---All Might is his name, and if he hadn't already been nearby arresting another villain as Reaver and Lyric had tried to hastily undertake their bank robbing operation, they might have both gotten out. ( but they didn't. Lyric was sacrificed like wet paper before it was their entire purpose to do such, to serve him. even now when they question them, Lyric will remain steadfast. not because they care for him, no, but because he will kill them if he finds out otherwise. ) The hulking figure of the man casts a shadow where he stands in front of the single room light on the opposite side of the cell and clear glass wall, but he is not a comfort to them. If anything, his presence is more worrisome. Who cared about small fry like them? They would be better off tracing the scene, throwing their all into finding Reaver ( and they never would. Lyric was thorough enough to prepare back up plans on back up plans for every country and prefecture they thieved in because they had to be. ) than beating around a tossed aside fool like them.

Still. They feel their voice crack a little when he speaks, soft. The dry air keeps them from crying any worthwhile tears, but their body seizes up as if they border upon it.

"Do you really believe... That I'm not a bad person after all of that?"

-> Their hands were not clean. Blood of more people than they wished stuck under their fingernails; it sometimes was less their their choice. Reaver's quirk which moved them to his desires would pull a trigger with more precision and decision than they ever would willingly, and yet those deaths seemed the worst of all: like executions, there was no room for their please. Lyric's shoulders tremor ( they were scared what would happen to them after this. if they would be killed before they could open their mouth again or if they would be locked in a scalding room for eternity, no better than at his manor. a punishment to instill "sense" among them as they begged to be let out. ) They suck in a tepid, quaking breath and hope he can't tell how salt and saline stings their eyes. They should at least be strong before the "enemy", shouldn't they?

"---He said he was someone who would care for me---! He said he was the only person left who would take me in, and I was scared, and now look where I am...! I should have run---or tried to kill him instead--- --- I tried to spare them but his mercy compared to mine... I didn't want anyone to get hurt through it all...

Can you really look at me as a Hero and say you think I only did what I had to do?

Okay, so why wasn’t anything ever done to prevent animangi on Hogwarts grounds?

We have evidence in cannon of three separate people using their animangs form to sneak onto the Hogwarts grounds.

Even giving them the benefit of the doubt that they never figured out Rita, you’d think that after PoA they’d at least sort out a way to check the children’s pets.

My god, imagine the potentional for a pretator to groom a child by pretending to be their beloved cat for years. Kids are weird. Their pet might be their bestfriend who they tell everything to and then one day, bam! A grown ass adult coming in knowing all their deepest inner thoughts.

Not to mention an older person running around with free access to the castle. Ugh.

I get that it’s a children’s series and all. But seriously???
