I’ve done a lot of raster animation in the last couple of months and I must say photoshop is still a long way from being a robust tool for such work S/o to Stephan Baril for the extensions he’s given us to enhance that experience @sbaril . . . . . #art #animation #photoshop #animdessin2 #instagramers #instart #adobe #illustration #animator https://www.instagram.com/p/BvxG2E1Dnkq/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=8uvtuh9cwfec
Wizard cat gif! \o/
There’s a lot of different things from the original piece, like the fog and the shining parts, but it’s ok :)
Also, I learned so much with this gif! Thanks Wizard cat <3

;) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFNoTLZJTrk/?igshid=1oe5sxxxdc705
Back by absolute no demand, here is the second installment of links that I want to archive. This spans like two months so none of the links have any correlation.

AnimDessin2 and AnimCouleur2 extensions for Photoshop by Stéphane Baril
I’m happy to finally release my senior thesis film, WEIRD PETS! A loner inadvertently receives a new Poodle after watching a strange TV show. Hand-drawn using Photoshop & Animdessin2. All music/sound design by me!
My second run of the confidence scene. This time animated in Adobe Photoshop. I recently installed the AnimDessin2 plugin, which has made my time animating significantly easier.
The animatic itself hasn’t changed too much. It’s slightly smoother in parts, and the keyframing is coming together too. I added a small part at the end when the brain character presses the remote controller. This is something that will be incorporated in most if not all scenes for the animation, as a bit of consistency and to show how the character gets through each scene.
I started redoing the animatic and now I’m using Photoshop. I found an extension that speeds up the process and its amazing. I have all of the necessary buttons just above the timeline. I can no turn on the onion skins very easily and I can also insert and copy frames that are the right size. Before every time I added a new layer I had to manually go and adjust the length. Now the process is much easier.
The extension has two different sets. One is for sketching and another one for colouring. It is made especially for animation so the functions there are very good.
The extensions are calles AnimDessin2 and AnimCouleur2, they’re made by Stéphane Baril.
