Azul was trying to promote the Monstro Lounge on Magicam, but that was much harder than it looked. So he scrolled down to NCR students profiles and came across yours. You had a thousand followers. How unusual. Curious he clicked on your profile and saw your various latte art and cute cookies you made.

That's it! You were going to make him more business!

He then told Jade and Floyd to go and find you. Which they went out and did. Was it scary to have two 6-foot tall lanky boys with scary teeth dressed like mafiosos, come and bust into your dorm in the evening? Yes. And your fear worsened when Floyd picked you up like a captured princess while Jade reassured you nothing bad will happen. Of course you thought something bad was gonna happen!

So you sat scared in the Monstro Lounge as Jade brought you a nice iced tea for you to drink. When Azul came he sat in front of you and pulled out his phone and laid the contract on the table in front of you. He showed you your latte art and asked if you could do ocean themes. Fish, seashells, waves. You nodded and Azul then gave you a pen. He wanted you to be his barista once a week on Friday to do the latte art and cookies. You respectfully refused, not wanting to be a part of his scheme.

Azul pushed his glasses back, "What a shame. And here I was going to offer you free meals till your contract ended. I thought that would help you with your debt to Dire Crowley, with your food tab being so high and all."

Darn... He was right. Free food does sound nice and not owing Crowley more money sounded nicer. So you looked at the contract again, it was only for three months. 15 Fridays. You can do that. You then took the pen and wrote your signature. You were now employed by Azul Ashengrotto.

The first Friday you worked was simple. You made cookies shaped like sand dollars and your latte art was sea turtles and stingrays. Not a big crowd, but decent sales.

The next Friday was a bit better. You made cookies shaped as various sea shells with latte art to match. Monstro Lounge's Magicam likes started to grow.

The third Friday you had a large crowd. You made crab shaped cookies with crab and lobster latte art. Azul was quite pleased with the results of your labor.

After work, you were invited to eat seafood pizza with Azul, Jade, and Floyd as a mini celebration of a great sale. You giggled at Floyd's antics at teasing Azul and Jade's gaslighting. Spending time with them wasn't so bad. It was nice seeing their more human side.

At school they became more friendly towards you. They kind of lured behind you to see if you were okay, or giving away your latte art secrets. One day Savanaclaw students came to bother you, they wanted you to give them free cookies or something dumb like that. Azul magically was behind you with a smile, telling them to please not bother his friend. Huh... You were Azul's friend? Not an employee? Your heart skipped a beat and your face became hot. Azul valued you? The Savanaclaws didn't back down till Jade and Floyd lurked behind Azul with their scary smiles. They then backed down and ran off. Azul then asked if you were okay and you nodded. You couldn't stop thinking. You were his friend.

You were more enthusiastic when working on Fridays, doing your job and selling all of your batches of cookies. In hopes of making Azul happy.

One Friday was Valentine's Day, so a bunch of students brought their dates to Monstro Lounge, so of course you had a bit of difficulty. But Azul went behind the counter to help you. He brewed the coffee and handed them to you to make your art. Your mermaid tail cookies and latte art was a big hit that day.

After closing and it was just you and Azul, you gave him a bag of assorted macarons. He refused at first, he made it a rule not to accept gifts with him paying the sender back.

You frowned, "But it'll make me happy if you took them."

His face turned red and he took the bag, "Very well. Thank you so much. I appreciate them."

Weeks passed and you have gotten closure to Azul. Visiting and helping him over Monstro Lounge even if it wasn't your day at work. Afterwards the two of you would eat pasta and talk about your days.

Then one Friday when you were preparing the dough for your cookies, Jade mentioned it was the last Friday of your contract.

Wow. Time surely went fast.

You felt a bit sad, you wouldn't have an excuse to be with Azul anymore...

That Friday you served cute eel shaped cookies and had an octopus as latte art.

You sold out everything once again.

"Well looks like your contract is up. You did a good job, you were an amazing worker." Azul said.

Oh... That's good but was he sad that you were leaving? He didn't seem to be. You smiled but your eyes were sad. His praise wasn't enough.

You told him you had fun and left. Tears rolled down your face. Everything between you and Azul was strictly business. Why did you think you were something special---

A hand grabbed yours from behind.

You stopped and turned around to see Azul.

"You're welcome to come over Monstro Lounge whenever you like... We really want... I really want to continue seeing you."

You smiled and more tears rolled down your face. Azul shyly hugged you and let you cry into his chest.

When you were done he gave you his handkerchief to dry your leftover tears that weren't stained on his coat. He then walked you back to your dorm and bid you goodnight.

The next day he closed Monstro Lounge for the day just the two of you for White Day. Jade was your server and Floyd was the cook. Azul smiled, "I hope you aren't sick of our food yet."

You just shook your head and called him a dork. You scooted yourself over to him to rest your head on his shoulder. His face turned red and he nervously wrapped his arm around you. The two of you relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. It was a perfect date.

"Thank you for the coffee dear, but too much caffeine is bad for my hearts... Uh... Hearts as in mine and yours! Because I have you heart don't I? Ahahaha... I don't have three hearts like most octopi... really."

I find it funny that that anon was talking bad about the other anons and wants you to revoke the anonship. And now I’m the next critical anon telling you to ignore that anon.

I have all sorts of pigments in my room (nail polish, acrylic paint, fountain pen ink, glitter, and a bunch of colorful pens, make up counts too I guess?). I can already see if Vincent and I share a room, our stashes will get mixed up/ we'll keep saying our stuffs are missing, because the other has been borrowing. I also got some big shirts, so on top of the regular "girlfriend stealing boyfriend's hoodies", I bet he'll wear my jackets and shirts too. The room is just a mess, everything's mixed up.

so what's your point exactly? aren't people allowed to have an anon? i mean why do you care if people want one?

My point is that people can have all the anons they'd like just that they should treat them with respect and recognise that there is a person behind their anon dedicating their time and effort into something and getting little to no credit for it.

My opinion turned sour on anons because of a certain situation in which I saw someone treated unfairly because they were dealing with things in their personal life meaning they couldn't "perform" to standard as the anon, per se. They were then replaced which isn't exactly good for anyone self esteem as they basically got fired from a job they were volunteering to do.

Basically to summarise:

1. Don't post saying you "want an anon" and then treat your anon like shit if they're not performing to your standards after they have VOLUNTEERED to participate.

2. Please don't say you're going to "get an anon" as if they're something you can buy in a supermarket. This isn't a) a purchase or b) an object. Maybe it's just a wording choice but it implies that your anon is something you own, which you do not.

3. If you ask your friend to become your anon, don't put your anonship ahead of your friendship. This person was your friend first and that friendship should be important to you. More important than some bloody anon game that will have a minuscule impact on your actual life.

I feel like I've become the union rep for anons when I've hardly actually been an anon (I don't think pretending to be Ryan Ledson to annoy Alice meets the hours requirement).

I don't really want to talk about this any longer because it all started over one post about me saying it's gotten out of hand and frankly I think I've expressed my points quite eloquently.

Just please can everyone, both bloggers and readers alike, have some respect for the anons.

A whole new Federation fleet

A while ago, I fed an online neural network a bunch of Federation starship classes and got a bunch of extremely excellent new ones. Quite frankly, after Wolf 359 and the Dominion War, I figured Starfleet could really use some new ships to fill out the ranks again, so I went back and gave the neural net some existing starship names. i am a.... very introverted person who's in charge of a tight-knit student group at my school, so in spite of my personality i have a lot of friends and spend a lot of energy on social time, which can get a little exhausting! my biggest dream is to be someone peaceful and dependable, who handles things smoothly and people can look up to.

my hobbies are fiction writing, calligraphy, d&d, and baking bread. i also love nature, the opera, and classic literature.

Jade was a very observant fellow, so it was in a matter of time till he noticed you. He saw you admiring his log of mushrooms in the botanical garden. He had a sense of pride fill his chest to have someone take interest in his specimens. He approached you to greet you, which startled you. He apologized and introduced himself and asked for your name. When he receives it he'll ask you what you were doing in the gardens and you just inform him that you simply enjoyed nature. You two chat for a bit before he shows you his mushrooms, and goodness he has a lot of them. Mushroom growing is his hobby and you mentioned that you liked baking bread as a hobby. Wanting to get to know you more, he invited you to the Monstro Lounge before it opens to make fresh bread with you. You could say it was your first date with Jade. And the bread the two of you made were served in the restaurant when it opened, he got free labor out of you and enjoyed your company. Time has passed and you two became rather close friends, which made you a bit suspicious at first, but Jade had earned your trust. He helped you with homework and during Beanfest he saved you from the grasp of monsters, without wanting anything in return!

When he finally asks you on a real date, he takes you hiking in the mountains to enjoy nature together. After the long hike, he'll rest with you under a tree, holding your hand. His hand was ice cold but he made your heart warm.

"Care to accompany me up the mountains tonight dear? Yes, it'll just be the two of us. I have something special waiting for us there. Hm? What is it? That'll ruin the surprise... don't you think? Fufufufu."
