Student Council (Afterschool Activities+)

18 August: This mod has been updated. Please refer to this post for more information before downloading.

12 March: Updated: Thanks to the people that let me know about the missing strings in non-English languages. It's been fixed and you can redownload the MAIN file. I also adjusted the skilling for the student council roles because sometimes it wouldn't stop after Student Council meetings so I fixed that.

7 March Update: PLEASE REDOWNLOAD Hi! Please re-download the "olomaya_StudentCouncil_MAIN" file if you downloaded it already. There was an issue with the milestone tracker so it will reset your Sim whenever you try to canvas for donations. If you have the other files, no need to redownload them, just the "MAIN" one.

I just played TS4 High School Years. The items are really cute but there's about 6 hours of gameplay in the whole pack, lol. But it got me thinking about how I wish we had more child and teen-specific stuff to do in TS3. Like Afterschool Activities which could have been more…active. So I started making a few active afterschool activities for teens. This is the first I'm releasing.

With this mod, your teen can join the Student Council where they can then take on different activities. They can run for office in the council and support school issues to try and make their school a better place. There are 8 different student issues your Sims can try to address, like buying new textbooks or running an anti-bullying campaign. Each one will require your Sim to get a certain number of signatures and raise X amount of funds. If you don’t do so by the deadline all the students will hate you (not really but also, yes). If you are successful, then all the students will get some kind of reward related to the campaign and it will increase your popularity. You can learn about student issues and the like through the Bulletin Board object.

There are 3 different Student Council elected positions you can run for which also have extra perks and each have their own unique interactions they can do as well so they are a bit more personality-based to the role.  There's more details in the documentation.

Future Updates/Additions: I do want to create some activities for council members to organize, like a beach clean up or school charity events. So that would be the plan for a V2. Also maybe doing a proper animation for the collect signatures interaction. I know TS4 has one, I couldn't get it to load through a social xml. It's a whole thing but yes, I'm aware Sign Autograph is not the ideal animation.

My Stand-In (Thai Fri iQIYI) ep 5 of 12 eps - It’s a riveting show. Pleasant? No. Riveting? Yes. Tiny crumbs for Ming’s assistant. Joe is best boy. That is all. I LOVE this show.

We Are (Weds iQIYI) ep 8 of 16 - TOO MANY SOUND EFFECTS. Omg get your fingers off those buttons you computer wanking sound dude (you know it’s a dude) what tf do you think this is? Lovely Writer? Also, they left ALL their drinks! Can you not walk and drink at the same time in a BL? Meanwhile not much happened that hadn’t already happened AKA bit of a filler ep. That said, the friendship group stuff is glorious!!! Also this brand of super gentle flirting suits PondPhuwin better than any of their prior rolls. It reminds me of how much I think they suit a historical. There is a gentle dignity to these two. 

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 7 of 12 - I love how kindly the turn down was. But most of the dancing stuff was dull. I don’t know I just find the actor playing Kang pretty vacant of appeal I guess.

At 25:00 in Akasaka AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 6 of 10 - As is not uncommon with JBL I’m being to get frustrated with Yuki the Uke. Sigh. I’m probably gonna stay that way for several episodes given the pacing of this show. 

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 7 of 10 - Also frustrating. Willful misunderstanding. We got us some running of the gays but boy is this drawn out. 

Blossom Campus (Korea Thurs Gaga & iQIYI) ep 3-4 of 6 - The puppy is a bit too much sunshine innocent for me. And the professor is a bit creepy. I don't know, I'm not loving this one like I want to.

Hoy os traemos en OCKD la primera de las placas MSI de chipset X299 y socket 2066 que vamos analizar a lo largo de estos días, se trata de la nueva MSI X299 SLI PLUS la cual da vida a los nuevos procesadores de arquitectura Skylake-X y Kaby Lake-X entre los que se encuentran los nuevos procesadores Intel Core i9, y que además por primera vez la plataforma entusiasta de Intel recibe procesadores de cuatro núcleos basados en la misma arquitectura que la linea mainstream y con un coste más bajo.

Volviendo a la nueva placa base, MSI en esta ocasión ha presentado un modelo con bastantes características y extras interesantes, como por ejemplo los dos puertos M.2 o el puerto U.2, manteniendo una opción de sonido de gran calidad. Mientras que en el apartado PCIe encontramos una configuración expresamente preparada para las configuraciones multi-GPU o para aquellos que quieran disponer de varios dispositivos en este formato, no por nada si en algo destaca esta plataforma entusiasta es por su gran numero de lineas.

  Comenzamos la review echando un vistazo al embalaje de la MSI X299 SLI PLUS, el cual llega con esta caja tipo maletín de color negro que ya nos advierte en el frontal de la red dual Intel, la posibilidad de hacer RAID entre las ranuras M.2 o que la placa dispone de iluminación LED RGB MSI Mystic Light.

En la parte trasera de la caja se detallan las especificaciones mientras que se destacan algunas de sus características adicionales como DDR4 Boost, Audio Boost 4 o System Saver que consta de dos botones uno de ellos sirviendo para devolver los ajustes por defecto de la BIOS y otro que nos permitirá recuperar la BIOS desde una unidad USB si esta fallará debido a una mala actualizacíon, aunque por otro lado la placa cuenta con Dual BIOS y un switch que nos permite seleccionar cual queremos usar, por lo que la seguridad es máxima.

Abrimos la caja maletín y encontramos la placa base en su habitual y recomendable plástico anti electricidad estática.

    Debajo de la placa base encontramos otro compartimento donde dispondremos de toda la documentación y accesorios.

    Entre la documentación encontramos una guia de instalación rápida, una guia de como instalar la memoria DDR4 entre las diferentes ranuras y según el procesador instalado (los procesadores Kaby Lake-X únicamente disponen de memoria de doble canal), el manual completo, un agradecimiento de MSI y el CD de drivers.

Finalmente entre los accesorios tenemos el I/O Shield, dos cables SATA 3.0 y un puente NVIDIA SLI HB especifico para esta placa base ya que esta deja dos slots libres entre las dos tarjetas gráficas instaladas en SLI.

  Una vez extraída de su embalaje por fin podemos ver de primera mano la nueva MSI X299 SLI PLUS, la cual en su centro alberga el nuevo socket LGA-2066 de Intel el cual en el futuro hará que esta placa base pueda albergar procesadores de hasta 18 núcleos basados en la arquitectura Skylake-X. Como en su plataforma anterior, las nuevas placas base X299 disponen de memoria en cuadruple canal y en el caso de esta placa base disponemos de 2 ranuras DIMM por cada canal que suman un total de 8.

  La parte trasera de la placa base revela que todos los elementos han sido fijados con tornillos para asegurar una presión optima de los disipadores, en el caso de la VRM disponemos de un pequeño disipador en la parte trasera ya que los componentes eléctricos están a ambas caras del PCB y necesitan refrigerarse.

  Un vistazo más de cerca al nuevo socket 2066, el cual es compatible con la mayoría de disipadores LGA 2011 debido a que la separación de los orificios de anclaje es exactamente la misma. MSI ha optado para esta placa base por un diseño VRM de 9 fases y un único conector de 8 Pin EPS de alimentación.

    La distribución de las ranuras PCIE se ha dispuesto con dos de ellas PCIe 3.0 x16 reforzadas con Steel Armor, dos ranuras PCIe 3.0 x16 que electricamente son x8 y dos ranuras PCIe 2.0 x1 para dispositivos en este formato. Entre las ranuras PCIE se han dispuesto dos ranuras M.2, una superior que acepta hasta el formato 2280 y que cuenta con un disipador M.2 Shield, el cual añade un thermalpad para refrigerar mejor la unidad que vayamos a instalar, y una ranura M.2 superior que acepta hasta el formato 22110 de este tipo de unidades.

Esta distribución nos permite configuraciones hasta de tres GPU, aunque hay que prestar especial atención a la CPU instalada, ya que las CPU Kaby Lake X solo cuentan con 16 lineas PCIe permitiendo una configuración 8x/8x de dos GPU, mientras que las CPU de 28 lineas como el i7 7800X que probamos hoy permiten configuración de 16x/8x/4x lo cual nos limita el SLI a dos GPU mientras que el Crossfire si permite tres GPU, finalmente las CPU de 44 lineas PCIe Core i9 permiten configuración 16x/16x/8x, las únicas capaces de admitir la configuración de tres GPU NVIDIA en esta placa base.

    Empezando por la zona baja, encontramos de izquierda a derecha con el conector de audio HD (JAUD1), un conector para accesorios LED RGB (JLED1) y tres cabezales para ventiladores de sistema.

  Siguiendo hacia la derecha, encontramos un conector TPM (JTPM1) dos botones de Power y Reset, el cabezal para los cables de la caja (JFP1), dos cabezales USB 2.0, un conector VRAID1 y dos puertos SATA 3.

  Justo encima de los elementos mencionados disponemos de conector JFP2 para el altavoz del sistema y un pequeño Switch que nos permite seleccionar entre los dos chips BIOS disponibles soldados al PCB.

    En el lado derecho de la placa base disponemos de un conector U.2, seis SATA 3 adicionales, un cabezal USB 3.0 y un cabezal USB 3.1 Tipo C.

  Seguimos hacia la parte alta de la placa base y encontramos un segundo cabezal USB 3.0 orientado de forma vertical y el habitual conector ATX 24 Pin de alimentación, finalmente en la esquina superior disponemos de un pequeño display que nos muestra los códigos de error o la temperatura del procesador cuando ya estamos encendidos.

    En el lateral del display en la parte superior derecha de la placa base disponemos de dos nuevos conectores para ventiladores de 4 Pin marcados como CPU Fan y Pump Fan1, donde el segundo sirve para conectar los sistemas de refrigeración líquida que hacen uso de una conexión PWM para sus bombas.

    Continuando en la parte superior, nos encontramos con el ultimo conector de ventilador de sistema de 4 Pin disponible en esta placa base y el conector EPS de 8 Pin que alimenta la CPU.

  En la parte posterior de la placa disponemos de un botón CLR_CMOS y un botón que nos permite recuperar la BIOS desde una unidad USB, un puerto combo PS/2, cuatro USB 2.0, cinco USB 3.1, un USB 3.1 Tipo C, las dos redes Ethernet Intel y los cinco jacks junto a un conector  S/PDIF para el audio HD de 8 canales.

Toca ponerse manos a la obra con la placa base y retiramos todos los elementos estéticos o de refrigeración para dejar a la placa base completamente desnuda. Así luce frontalmente:

  Estos son todos los elementos que hemos retirado, tanto el disipador de las VRM como el del chipset disponían de un cable que les permite iluminar sus LED RGB que podremos configurar desde el software de MSI.

Como hemos retirado el elemento estético que cubría la zona I/O ahora podemos ver las controladoras que dan vida a algunos de sus elementos, como por ejemplo las asmedia para los puertos USB o un chip Intel que da vida a la segunda red Gigabit.

    Finalmente la zona de audio, la cual esconde el chip de audio realtek HD de 8 canales acompañado de los condensadores japones Nichicon de alta calidad.

El diseño de la VRM está compuesto de 8+2 fases, las cuales 8 son correspondientes a la CPU están controladas por el PWM digital 35201 de International Rectifier, o lo que es lo mismo, uno de los mejores PWM disponibles en el mercado funcionando en modo 8+0, pues las 2 fases restantes están dedicadas a las memorias. Completando la VRM encontramos condensadores DarkCaps de Tantalio (núcleo de aluminio) de larga duración, chokes Ti de alta eficiencia y una configuración de doble mosfet por fase en perfil alto y bajo del fabricante NIKO.

  Los mosfets empleados son los NIKOS PK632BA en el perfil alto acompañados de los NIKOS PK616BA en el bajo en configuración de doble mosfet por fase, algo que ayudará a su menor sufrimiento en altas cargas. Este tipo de configuración es el que está empleando MSI en sus últimas configuraciones, esta vez ofreciéndonos hasta 20 mosfets teniendo en cuenta los 16 empleados sólo en la CPU y los 4 en las dos fases empleadas en las memorias que también emplean doble perfil y dobladores. Por su parte, las dos fases de las memorias son controladas por la solución digital PV4201 de Powervation, por lo que el listón sigue estando muy alto.

      Por último, pero no por eso menos importante, al CODEC ALC1220 de Realtek le acompañan los condensadores japoneses nichicon de alta fidelidad en su PCB completamente aislado para evitar interferencias EMI por parte del resto de componentes de la placa base. Sin lugar a dudas, la suma de todo el componente eléctrico de esta MSI X299 SLI PLUS, denota la intención del fabricante de ofrecer una placa base con garantías de soportar CPU exigentes, inclusive con overclock y un altó número de núcleos.

  El procesador utilizado en la review es un Intel Core i7 7800X de seis núcleos y doce hilos que representa la CPU más económica dentro de los procesadores con arquitectura Skylake-X de esta plataforma. Este procesador llega con una frecuencia de base de 3,5Ghz y un turbo hasta los 4Ghz. Durante todas nuestras pruebas ha marcado una máxima de temperatura de 51 grados, mientras que en reposo la temperatura ha sido de 41 grados.

    En cuanto a overclock como siempre hemos llevado el procesador hasta el máximo voltaje recomendable dentro de parámetros seguros de 1,3V, consiguiendo así un overclock hasta los 4,8Ghz que representa un aumento de 1,3Ghz respecto a las frecuencias de base del procesador.

Este overclock aunque estable y sin mayores problemas ha puesto en evidencia el problema de haber usado pasta térmica en el IHS del procesador, llegando hasta los 97 grados de temperatura pico durante nuestras pruebas y variando entre los 70 y 95 grados continuamente. Por supuesto no es un problema de la placa base y no tiene sentido comentar mucho más en esta review.

  MSI sigue confiando en su habitual BIOS CLICK BIOS 5 para la plataforma X299, sin duda una BIOS muy completa que ofrece un modo sencillo con “Basic Mode” y un modo avanzado para overclockers gracias a “Advanced Mode”. Debo recordar que la placa base cuenta con BIOS dual que podemos cambiar mediante un Switch, por lo que la seguridad es máxima.

  En los resultados sintéticos podemos apreciar  que como se esperaba las menores frecuencias del Intel Core i7 7800X frente a los dos Intel mainstream i7 7700K o i7 6700K resultan en perdidas de puntuación en 3DMARK, mientras que en los test de Unigine el nuevo procesador sale mejor parado.

    En cuanto a Gaming hemos obtenido buenos resultados en cualquiera de los juegos testeados, pudiendo exprimir el máximo de la GTX 1070.

  Por fin hemos podido probar la primera placa de chipset X299 gracias a MSI y probar las bondades de la nueva plataforma de Intel, MSI con la nueva X299 SLI PLUS ha sabido volver a aportar lo mejor que sabe hacer, lo cual es volver a apostar por una placa base de gran calidad en su apartado eléctrico, con grandes características extras. No estamos hablando de una placa base orientada al tope de gama de la marca, pero aun así hemos podido ver durante nuestras pruebas como ha aguantado todos nuestros test con el overclock de 4,8Ghz a un i7 7800X con un voltaje de 1.3V lo cual ya supone un consumo considerable.

A pesar del overclock el disipador se mantenía en nuestras mediciones entre los 45 y 55 grados de temperatura, lo cual es bastante aceptable y en cualquier caso no hemos notado en ningún momento problemas de rendimiento derivados de las VRM, ni de ningún otro tipo. Lo cierto es que nos hubiera gustado probar la plataforma con alguno de los procesadores top, pero estamos seguros de que esta placa base puede dar la talla en cualquiera de los procesadores disponibles, aunque sea el imponente 10 núcleos Skylake-X que podemos montar.

En cuanto a características, MSI ha dotado a esta placa base de una segunda red Ethernet Gigabit Intel que podemos usar en conjunto con la que llega de serie para obtener mayor rendimiento. La placa base también ha sido dotada de dos ranuras M.2 que podemos configurar en RAID 0 o 1 para obtener rendimientos tope de gama con unidades NVMe de alto rendimiento y por si fuera poco contamos con uno de los nuevos puertos U.2 que cada vez vamos a ver más habitualmente.

MSI tampoco ha descuidado la conectividad, a la que debemos sumar a la gran cantidad y variedad de puertos traseros USB todas las opciones frontales que incluyen hasta cuatro puertos adicionales 2.0, cuatro puertos USB 3.1 adicionales y un cabezal para un USB 3.1 tipo C que cada vez va siendo más popular.

La nueva MSI X299 SLI PLUS puede encontrarse en el momento de escribir estas lineas por un precio de 279,95€ en PCComponentes  o en Coolmod , precios que nos recuerdan mucho a los de la plataforma X99 para esta calidad de placas base. En cuanto a gaming sin duda la plataforma sigue ofreciendo procesadores de mayor conteo de núcleos con las frecuencias más elevadas que la arquitectura Kaby Lake X o Skylake X pueden ofrecer, algo que ha quedado patente en nuestras pruebas.

Como nota final le entregamos a la MSI X299 SLI PLUS nuestro galardón OCKD ORO, por ser sin discusión alguna un producto destinado a la gama media de la nueva plataforma de Intel que ofrece gran calidad de acabados y características, lo cual nos asegura un funcionamiento optimo incluso con las configuraciones de máximo nivel.

Several weeks ago, a car owner drive me a BMW 2014, and found it’s not compatible with my autocom. Then tested other more car models after 2014; it can’t work neither. Asked a friend working in a repairing garage, he recommended me VDMUCANDAS.

As he suggested, the original UCANDAS VDM V3.8 diagnosis system is advertised better than autocom, it claims one-year free update at official website, and works with newest cars up to 2014

This is the genuine VDMUCANDAS package, arrived this week, cost €209. It came with the main unit with OBDII cable, software driver and USB cable. The package is very simple compared with Launch X431 my maintenance friend bought, which packed with many adapters.

I installed it successfully on my Win7 ( it claims Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8. No WP8/Win8 RT can support it). Very easy to install with the help of user video  no need to activate.

The biggest advantage for me is the supported WIFI connection and Bluetooth. You know, how convenient it is if you have ever diagnosed any vehicles: D

Besides, this UCANDAS VDM covers a wide range of vehicles (it is said that UCANDAS VDM V3.8 supports almost all cars in the market.). Except diagnosing my BMW 2014, I also helped to do programming for my bro’s LandRover suv 2013 lr4 successfully.
