I find it almost impossible to read Dinluke fics without witnessing ‘fandom osmosis’ idiocy. Esp those ones that are set in-universe, after ‘The Mandalorian’ s2.

‘The Jedi are not baby-snatchers anymore thanks to Luke!’ – you confused Jedi and Sith. Rewatch TCW.

‘Jedi despised stupid familiar bonds, but Luke doesn’t anymore, he loves his sister more!’ – Jedi never ‘despised’ families. Also, probably, if Luke wants to commit to his family – then he shouldn’t become a monk? The Jedi are monks, you know? And anyway, canonically Luke is very capable of Jedi-y letting go, he doesn’t have any problems with loving his family and being a Jedi.

Often it goes hand by hand with Luke coming to Din and them creating a nuclear family ‘because Grogu needs his dad!’. Canonically, Grogu is raised as a Jedi (fuck s3 retcon, because Disney wanted money from DinGrogu brand). In the end of s2 he lets Din go, he’s capable of living without his foster father.

It’s not uncommon that Luke eventually joins Mandalorian culture, throwing Jedi-ing out of the window. I won’t even comment on it – obviously a warmongering culture is preferable over a peacekeeping one. Because the latter doesn’t encourage having spouses and kids in a common sense. /s

As a cherry on the top – ‘poor Anakin never was given a chance to love his son properly, because Jedi never allowed him. He’d be such a good dad!’ – yeah, sure. The same guy who choked his pregnant wife. Even in the sweetest fix-it I cannot imagine Anakin becoming even a decent father without tons of therapy before.

I love Dinluke, but are there any fics that are NOT shitting all over Luke’s culture? (Btw, Luke’s a Jedi, less of a Tatooinian, his Tatooine heritage is not important to the canonical story at all, he seems quite happy to leave the planet behind and commit to Jedi).

Chapter 5: An Old Face Of A Little Girl

“Lady Eden…” The soft coo of her maid did nothing to move Marinette, who continued to lay in her bed. The smooth covers were soft against her skin, breathable even as she hid beneath them. Marinette did not react, her eyes clenched closed as she hid obviously from her maid. “Please, my lady. It has been days, at least allow me to bathe you and get you something to eat.”

“……” Marinette remained silent, still curled underneath the blanket. She wished heavily that this was all just a dream.

“…I shall return soon with food, my lady. Please eat it.” Marinette listened carefully to the retreating footsteps of her maid before sitting up. The blanket slid off her form and into her lap, crumpled. She stayed sitting there for a couple minutes, just staring at the mirror in front of her bed. She stared at the face that was now her’s.

“…why am I here?” Marinette croaked, voice shaky and rough from no usage. She bit the inside of her mouth, hoping to draw blood or wake up. Neither happened, so Marinette eventually just started crying. Streaks of tears stained her face, her eyes swelling red from abuse to her tear ducts. “Please, I know someone, one of you gods, hear me! I’m not supposed to be here! You made a mistake!”

Marinette felt out of character, being the one to call for help, but she was just so, so desperate for help. She knew someone had the answers and she needed them. She needed to know why she was here and how she could return home.

No one replied.

Not a speck of sound was returned to her desperate plea, the only sound that was left was her own cries.

“My lady!!!” She could hear light footsteps rush towards her, making Marinette only cry more. “Oh, nonononono! My lady, what’s wrong?”

The maid carefully stroked her face, wiping away her tears. Marinette threw herself at the maid, hugging her tightly.

“Please! I just want to go home!” Marinette cried, causing the maid to worry more. Marinette sobbed unintelligently, using words the older woman wouldn’t understand. “I just want to go home!”

“My lady…” The maid just hugged her back and rocked back and forth. She didn’t understand what her lady meant by ‘go home’ but she comforted the girl to the best of her abilities.

As Marinette’s crying started to calm down, after a couple hours had passed, she saw something in the corner of her eye. Eyes still swollen with tears, Marinette turned towards whatever it was and made eye contact.

There it was, a screen with her, HER, name on it. Her real name. It read… “Welcome, Marinette Dupain-Cheng! Thank you for opening “Special Route” - Damian Wayne - Hard Mode. You have been transported into the game for an interesting experience. Please Enjoy!” And below it, an option to open a… menu?

it's always so scary when you dump your heart and soul into a chapter and think "hehehehe my audience is going to think I'm so clever and they'll love this!" and you genuinely had a great time writing it so you finally put the chapter out into the world and it's like *refresh* *refresh* *refresh* (repeat x3 days) and that inbox number for comments just stays 0.

so I wasn't expecting my khux gameplay post to blow up this much because normally I just shout my khux thoughts into the void and that's that, but it's been really amazing and heartwarming seeing everyone's personal experiences with khux, like I can't say enough how much I LOVE looking at everyone's additions and tags :)

I had tried writing a long post about some khux feelings but it just wasn't coming out right. this post isn't about the game this is about me sorry tl;dr I'm a very anxious person and I love to see other people just as excited about khux as I am because I feel better about how much I like it. which is A Lot

Having pre-crash thoughts and strike me if Taissa ever noticed Shauna and Jackies relationship. I mean, you can see that she and Shauna sort of have this closeness that don't actually extend much further than agreeing with each other (by their similar perspectives?). And Taissa knowing herself as queer along with having a secret relationship with Van. I wonder if she ever thought about the other girls, if they could be queer too. And doing that, if she ever considered Shauna and Jackies personal behaviours.

Jackies oscillated relationship with Jeff and her resistance about having sex with him (this part I'm not gonna dare everybody would know. But HEY! It's high school, everybody knows about everybody, especially if the person stands out). So, i don't know, if WE noticed something, maybe Taissa could've too.

Shauna constantly gravitating towards everything that involved Jackie. The way she behaved. The looks!!!! That intense aura of resentment. Her never ending friction with Jackie. Taissa is a smart girl and although I wouldn't bet she would've been through something like that, because it's a new layer of repression, I could imagine she would definitely notice something was up about them.

About Shauna, I mean, that girl is so suspicious. The gloom aspect of her very nature, the stillness of her, that enormous element of sadness. Her eyes!!! And everything seams to react by Jackies presence.

I wonder if Taissa ever thought about doing something. She wouldn't reach out to Jackie, so maybe Shauna. Throwing hints at her, trying to talk. If she actually did something and we don't know.

If in the wilderness everything about their relationship highlighted and It was even more easier to notice. If she talked about this with someone else, probably Van. If they theorized together (that would be so fun to watch).

Anyway, I'm going insane and I'm trying really hard to bring people with me. So what do you think?

hmmm i think it's something people enjoy playing with? i didn't read much of what's on ao3 yet but i did almost finish (getting there!) "you stay with the earth" and that's very much a thing there. which i enjoy in it so much and i think it's done very believably and in character except yknow it's a jackie lives au so obviously there's that. but what do i think in terms of canon................ hmmm i think it's very possible tai did wonder especially when they came back and shauna married jeff and seemed to dedicate her entire life to jackie. like i think it's possible it Crossed Her Mind but i also don't really think that IN CANON after jackie's death she would wonder very much about jackie's sexuality lmao and before that she didn't know jackie well enough. IF shauna ever made some confession of the kind she made to jeff in the last ep TO taissa then i think tai would wonder but wouldn't say shit. i mean really what do you even say lmao realizing that if that's the case is not gonna Help her i'm afraid. but also tai was on a fucking soccer team i bet at some point she did wonder who else was gay cause frankly not enough of those girls ARE. it's a girls' soccer team let's be realistic here
