Writeblr Intro

Hi, I'm Finn (She/Her), 25, and have been writing my whole life. With my ADHD it has always been hard to focus on one skill or one hobby but writing has always been something I could come back to whenever I wanted.

Despite how long I've been writing, I've yet to ever really show anything I've written. There wasn't space for me to do so when I was younger and now I'm plagued by my own self-doubt and insecurity, but this is me attempting to tip a toe into the world of writers.

Genres I Write: Slice of life, Fantasy, Sci-fi, Romance,

I want to stretch more into some horror and mystery, one of my goals is to be able to write a convincing mystery novel one day.

Recently I've been obsessed with stories centering around morality and the greyness of it all, or stories about how good people with good intentions end up hurting the ones they love. I'm very much a fan of writing angst but I also am trying to give more love to the happy ending. I like ending my stories with some hope at the end for the characters.

Anyways, if you're a nervous writer like me whose still trying to put themselves out there, I welcome you to give me a follow. I'm hoping by having some kind of writing community it might spur me into putting some short stories or fanfiction out there.

Also, if anyone's ever looking for a Beta reader I'm happy to help. I've been told I can be helpful with editing (plus it's one of my favorite parts of writing).

I really enjoy reading your hcs and I was wondering about your thoughts on a reader that refers to Wednesday as dude/bro and does it even more when they realise just how much it annoys her. (I feel like they'd constantly answer Wednesday's queries with just 🤙🏽 and it'd make her downright murderous)

You were the most insufferable, unimaginative, irritating, annoying person Wednesday had ever met in her life. If being annoying were a competition, you would win effortlessly and with that same frustratingly cocky smile

She had mentioned it once. One time she had told you it was irritating for you to call her "dude;" she was not a dude. But apparently that was all it took for you to take that information and run with it

"Chill out, dude, it's my love language"

If you had given Wednesday the chance, she would have strangled you with no hesitation. Would've strangled you where you stood. She had said it annoyed her, why weren't you listening? She didn't want you to say it and you did it anyway

And on top of that, you only got worse. Every time Wednesday would acknowledge you, whether in passing or longer, you would always answer with "wassup dude 🤙🏻." Wednesday didn't even know what that meant!

If anyone was around and did something foolish or stupid, what was your first reaction? An exasperated "bruh." Why could you not just talk like a normal person?

The only time Wednesday managed to get you to stop was with a threat. A well timed, well thought out, strategic threat

"If you say that one more time, I will never kiss you again"

"... "dude" is overrated anyway"

A Ramble: Phantomime by Ghost

This is about my opinion on the EP "Phantomime" by the band Ghost. May not align with your opinions, but whatever. We're adults here. If you continue to read, you have accepted the incoherent ramblings of a Ghost fan (a Ghostie, a Sibling of Sin, Ghost parishioner, etc).

To understand the album’s name: 

From Dictionary.com. Phantom (noun): 1. An apparition or specter 2. An appearance or illusion without material substance, as a dream image, mirage, or optical illusion. 

Pantomime (noun): 1. The art or technique of conveying emotions, actions, feelings, etc., by gestures without speech.  2. A play or entertainment in which performers express themselves mutely by gestures, often to the accompaniment of music. 

And with that, you get Phantomime!

The cover art is absolutely breath-taking. It was sculpted by Hedi Xandt, whose artwork you can check out on instagram! (LINK) Very cyberpunk and cool! They're also in videos on Ghost's YouTube channel. (LINK)

In an interview, it’s said Tobias worked on cover songs while also working on IMPERA. Whenever he felt like his writing wasn’t doing too good, he’d do a song or two. Having a folder called "Covers", these five ended up being the final selection. If you have a moment, you can read it on this blog by slavghoul as well as many others! (LINK)

So, I’m gonna rank each song from first to last! All on what my vibes were feeling. Though, I feel I should say I’m not familiar with the originals. Keep that in mind. Anyway, here we go:

See No Evil by Television 

Great way to start the EP! Tobias’ vocals are amazing in this. Got me pumped up, makes me wanna dance! Can’t shake the idea of this being part of a Kingsman film soundtrack. I’d like to watch an action scene while this plays.

Rating: 4 Papas out of 5

Jesus He Knows Me by Genesis

This was being teased with Papa IV’s face that said “Jesus is Coming.” And sure enough, he froqueing did. Wink, wink. Love the instrumentals, again Tobias’ voice is amazing! This one obviously is my number one favorite for lots of reasons, one of them being that blasphemous music video (do not watch it with family).

Rating: 5 Papas and 1 disgusting Father Jim (call me 🤙🏽) out of 5

Hanging Around by The Stranglers

Damn. Tobias, you can get it– I mean… Awesome song! I imagine going for a drive and blasting this, chilling and singing along. *coughs* Tobias, you free tonight? Wanna hang around? For an hour or two…

Phantom Of The Opera by Iron Maiden

Took me a few more listens. Long songs tend to be a hit or miss for me. I had problems hearing the vocals when I first heard it on their YouTube channel. The instruments were louder than Tobias. Now that the EP is officially out, the vocals sound better. Overall, I don’t mind it. A song I would repeat only if I’m playing the EP on repeat. So, putting it in the middle.

We Don’t Need Another Hero by Tina Turner

TINA TURNER! Excellent song to end the EP! I can definitely picture this being played on tour. It has that oomph, ya know? A song I’d imagine myself belting out in the shower, channeling my inner rock star. Not sure what else to say, besides that it fuckin slaps!

Out of all of Ghost’s EPs, this is my favorite. I was kinda worried I wasn’t going to like it after hearing POTO, but damn… Tobias pulled through as always. This was something he did for fun and you can definitely hear it. 

Take it with a grain of salt, but I read somewhere that the EPs kinda reflect the current Papa frontman. And this is definitely fitting for Papa IV’s character. 

Can’t wait to see what the next full album will be!

rn i have him on a two piece lightning set + two piece basic attack set (cant rmb the names for the artifacts) but the lightning set is kinda ass so it’d be better to farm for the universal atk + speed set

edit: i also have him on the two piece celestial planar ornament set !!! u can get it from simulated universe and its easy to farm. adds crit dm and crit rate

i originally had him with a shit ton of crit dmg but he had. 0 crit rate so i switched. i got lucky with a crit rate piece so he has 30/90 crit rate crit dmg

and i have him on himekos light-cone, night on the milk way - all the way to level 70. all of his talents rn are at level 7 (minus basic which is at 6 cause thats just how it works) and i got lucky cause i have him at e1!!

he hits pretty good!! idk if u know this but i will add anyway: for jing yuan - you want to focus in stacking his lightning lord. in the corner of his character thing during fights theres a number three. that number moves depending on what atk u use. if you use his single target it stays the same. if you use his skill, it will add two stacks. and if you use his ultimate you will get three stacks. you want to get him up to 6 stacks and getting that number higher should always be ur priority.

the highest it can go is ten so it basically means you want jing yuan to go as fast as possible and have him use his ultimate as much as possible. having a speed buffer (asta f2p, bronya is better if u have). also imo tingyun is absolutely essential to play him. hope this helps 🤙🏽

Good choice, for Yakumo try to also potential his HP, idk if mine is still too weak but like, it tends to be one of the first to die, lmao. And thanks 💜

Aaaa, one last thing (sorry for make this longer than necessary, you don't have to keep answering, it's okay 🤙🏽), I saw that you got Quincy guardian class, do you have Morvay SR? If so, you should also level and potential them up, two tanks are better than one, and I will suppose that every Quincy card takes six fucking turns to release their special attack, sooo it is kinda better to have Morvay as a back up (guardian class has a crazy amount of HP, they're really helpful during events and versus the altar's crystals if the rest of your team can't take them yet). And if you have or get Blade (S)SR (or even Kuya SSR) later, power him up too, him and Garu in the same team make battles quicker to win.

AND I JUST GAVE A FAST GLANCE TO VELO'S STORY AND OMG, IT'S SO LONG AND OCTOPUSES ARE MY FAVORITE AND I'M SO EXCITED ASDFGHJKL--- hope I can catch up with that and the rest of your projects soon.

I wanted to wait until I finished that damn level, and I'm happy to say I just finished. After much switching around I was able to beat it with two Yakumos pumping heals. 💪 Thanks for the advice.

As for my writing thank you. Editor has been hired at new job, so while they adjust they really won't be Editing for a bit still. A lot is going on in their life right now so I wish them all the best.
