#Jesus christ. what a fucking week. its been January for a million fucking years #but this week has been good. very busy. i gave my 1st departmental presentation which i was real nervous abt #but i think my presentation was good. the department has a high standard for students to meet. like one of the guys who goes to the adjacent #department's student talks was like man it is night and day. the presentations in this department r so much better #so i feel like im getting a good education lol. and everyone was super supportive. like no one congratulated me besides my lab when i gave a #departmental talk for my masters. but here like everyone stopped to say good job and that the work sounds exciting. so that was nice.#and i feel like i spent so much time being social this week. im kinda drained and like oh god im fucking insufferable. but also im like well #if im being fucking annoying and ppl still Associate with me its their fucking problem lol. and also if u spend enough time around anyone #they become annoying and i still like my friends even if sometimes theyre annoying and its fine. everyone has the right to b a little #annoying haha. but i really like my lab mates. its fun talking to them. also everytime i talk to my old boss im like oh wow i am learing a #lot bc we talk abt my old system and my old work and i have new ideas abt how things function on a community level and she's like oh wow how #does that work? and i kinda kno what im talking abt and i still kinda love my desert cyanos a lot. and thats the other thing. i feel like #thats the other thing. i thought astr0biology was my guiding light but i think its actually just that i lov cyan0bacteria. somebody's gotta #and thats me... and my old boss haha and i have her to thank for that 😊 anyway. im feeling a lot my confident in my being here and in this #project. which is so crazy after the last 2 years of my life. Not to brag but earlier this week I went for a walk and got to touch a river, and today I'm going to get a library card and go to a Silent Book Club

#i live in a beautiful area. kind of surrounded by a lot of small towns but in the middle of nowhere yknow #i work in one small town in which theres also a river. i touched the river and saw a goose and found a piece of glass #i took the glass home cuz it wasnt fully sea glass but it was smoothed by the river #and that day i also got a salad and ice cream. it was a nice day #it was my day off and it was beautiful so i knew id regret not going out #im so glad i went out #today is my other weekly day off #not really a day off cuz i have to do my remote job but off from my full time job #so im gonna go to the library in a different small town nearby. and get a library card. and do my remote work #and then im gonna go to the bookstore/cafe near the library cuz they host a silent book club #thats the ideal book club for me. just chat for half an hour about our books. silent reading for an hour #then another half hour chat #whenever i move i usually isolate cuz im new and i wanted to avoid that this time #i told my therapist it was my goal to get out more and not isolate so i want to be able to tell her ive been going to things #when i told my friend id be going to book clubs and knitting club and stuff she said 'are you retiring?'#which was rude but an accurate callout #anyway now im gonna go do remote work and then go to book club and im so excited!!#that sentence sounds like im more of an adult than i actually am

i have spent nearly $700 in the past week bc i keep going on ebay and buying model bikes and trading cards from 2003

#also legos. i finally got the new ducati set ive been wanting since release so that was fun. also the trevi. BEAUTIFUL set great build #i super recommend if youre into legos and have the money #ill have to keep my job an extra month cus of my insane impulse spending but wtv its not too bad. just wish i got paid more for doin nothin #anyway im kinda addicted to the trading cards. i keep buying packs and theyre kinda crazy fuckin expensive so im buying 2004 from a #different site cus its significantly cheaper. (40 pack for 36$ + shipping :DDD) also got a mick doohan and jlo card from 2003 which is 💪💪👍👍#in one of the packs i got off ebay (which came in really quickly---i was pleasantly surprised) i got sic and i have him displayed on my #shelf but i always get kinda sad when i look at him cus he looks so young. strange how that goes. anyway x2 im hunting for a vale card. i #got a podium w him on it (duh. also 2003) so maybe ill get him early yamaha days in my 2004 packs. exciting #for the bike models/diecasts i got two enea bastianini (2021 and 2022 iirc......) and two valentino (2006 and valencia 2003. GOD that #valencia 2003 looks so beautiful. im actually in love with her......need some caseys to match i only have one and shes from 2007. came w my #book. i have a ducati dovi (forgor the year) and 2014 marc but i need to build that and i kinda refuse to. also giant 2023 pecco.#he is very large. i forgot to check sizes b4 i bought him like a year ago. love him tho ❤️❤️❤️ my italians.........)#yap sesh tag #anyway yea thats my yap sesh on the stuff i own bye

i really dont mean to jinx it bc its still over a year away likely closer to 2 BUT my boyfriend and i actually beginning to seriously plan out our wedding and like researching pricing and planning out guest lists and venues and dates ......... :) girls when life didnt end at 17 :)

Just had my first psychiatrist appointment in like two years! Not to brag, but I improved on mental illness so much that I was upgraded from Bipolar 2 to Bipolar 1! 😎

#when she asked me questions and said 'that seems more like bipolar 1 than 2' i immediately got so excited #to make this fucking joke on tumblr #when my mom asks how my appointment went im going to make it to her too and shes going to hate it #im trying to collect all of the diagnosises and meds #ive tried so many meds in the past im excited to add a new one to my repertoire #i dont even know what this one is for. i think its cuz my bipolar leans heavily towards the depression #and so far that depression has been untreatable. so i think thats what this is for #my caffeine intake was heavily judged whivh i did not appreciate. but its a judgement worthy amount of caffeine tbh #also i had onboarding for my new job at mcdonalds literally immediately after my psyh appointment #and it was strange. i did the normal things. paperwork etc #but at the end i asked if colored hair was okay and she said she encourages self expression #but then she whispered and said some people are furries and thsts okay but if i am i cant wear the claws or tail at work #just for food safety reasons. and she brought me out to a separate building thats their dry storage #and she said sometimes theres pine snakes in there so just be loud as you go in #and she said she doesnt mind if you smoke weed on the clock. just do it in your car or dry storage and use body spray to cover the smell #ive missed working fast food. im going to change my mind after like two shifts but its fine #anyway i hope you appreciated my mental health joke :) i made myself laugh hysterically with that one
