"As he pushes his nearly frostbitten feet through the snow, toes poking through his torn shoes, and Ood Sigma appears, he thinks of Donna— their new song ringing through his ears.

Saint Donna, who he'd robbed of her memories to save her life. His best friend. The best he'd had, really— his double in every way, even before the metacrisis, with all of their synchronicities, and the only person besides Rose that had ever understood the stuttering, gasping language of his hearts.

The thing about having someone love you through the darkest, most gut-wrenching days of your life is that it creates something not found in the bounds of ordinary connections. You try as you might not to bleed on them, pulling your mess back in towards yourself with nothing but a useless squeegee, yet they continue to clean it up anyway—unapologetically.

And they just get you, without you needing to scream endlessly into the void. And somehow you both become renewed in the process.

Donna had certainly done this for him, more than most— closer than even a sibling, really. A soul twin.

She'd accepted all of his tangled, cycloptic darkness that night she'd stopped him from fulfilling his perceived destiny of dying beneath the Thames.

There had been snow that day, too, even though he'd fabricated it. Along with the day they'd saved the Ood, which was what had brought Sigma here to sing him to sleep currently. There'd been what looked like snow after Pompeii, too.

Spartacus and Spartacus, standing together watching it all crumble. Pushing that lever because they'd had to. And he hadn't done it alone, that time.

Snow had always held a property of finality, and of rebirth, really, as he's looking back.

As if the material itself, whether crystallised water or ash or whatever else, held TIME—like in a snowglobe. A suspended moment, with a past, and a future, flash-frozen, except for the snow itself, swirling around in wonderment.

His mind must be going, now, as he doubles over in pain—the last thing to be addled and ruined before the big event. His memories slip and start overlapping each other just like his mind, as he reaches out for the TARDIS door.

He can't remember exactly what interior to expect, and when he sees it's the organic-looking coral theme instead of sterile white he's honestly surprised.

And then he can't remember where he's put his umbrella.

He's ready, this time. No matter the result, he decides.

He doesn't care, he just wants it to end—his body is glowing, itching, burning.

Screaming out for him to just give in and make it stop.

He's alone and he's terrified— because really, this abandoned, emotional torment is the only monster that loves him enough to stay.

And as he goes down, his mind doesn't even register that he's slipped in the snow, as his face hits the door jamb.

And he blacks out.

He remembers vividly, he's not sure whether it's from his past or his future, a visit to a museum.

Canvases full of colour, life, and nature in a place that honoured them instead of their darker, more stoic predecessors.

Like the chromatic hues of chalk, brightly etched on a sidewalk just before rain splatters over it, blurring and swirling the pigments together.

Testaments to the spectrum of human experience— when you look close up, you can't tell what you're looking at— all you see is a world of colour. But as you take steps back, shapes flood your imagination.

Water lilies. Bridges. Sunflowers. Ships. Trees and Haystacks. Churches and clouds.

And stars.

And someone assuring a man with tears in his eyes that he'd changed the world, allowing people a glimpse into the dazzling way he sees the universe, despite the monsters in his head.

And a… redhead?

As he looks up at this person with flaming red hair, the edges of her features still formulating like she's blended from acrylic, it is not the face he expects.

His head is in her lap, and she's wiping the dirt, blood, cold sweat, and the sick off of his face that he can still taste on his lips.

Suddenly his brain lurches with realisation, but his body is paralysed from moving away from her.

"Donna!?"

She just looks down at him, grinning through emotion, big, fat tears dripping down her cheeks onto his face as she caresses his filthy head.

"Hello, you Dumbo…well, you kind of look like a homeless Yeti now, with snow all over you. Trying out for the Olympics again, Doctor? Don't tell me it's in pairs figure skating again, I'm not entering with you. I was just there to look at the nice boys in tights."

He blinks, trying to move anything in his body, but it's just not happening.

"Donna. You can't possibly be here. You're in my head just to make me feel worse. Please get out."

She wipes her eyes and then laughs at him, her entire form shaking.

"Is that any way to greet your best friend? Especially seein' as you're the one who put me here in the first place!"

She mocks him in body and in tone.

"Look at me, I'm an idiot who shot my regeneration energy into a spare hand, then created a metacrisis plus a bonus telepathic bond with my best friend, so that when synchronicity takes over between us yet again, her probably pissed-and-passed-out consciousness shows up to keep me company as I lay dying or mutating, but I cast her off anyway."

She shakes her head at him, still laughing.

"Nope, not gonna happen, moron. I'm not leaving you. Just because I can't see you while I'm actually conscious doesn't mean my subconscious can't take form and seek you out, especially with your mind the state that it's in. Souls are energy and ours our twins, you know that as well as anyone. And besides, I probably just had an absolutely brilliant New Years' celebration, no one like yours to really ring in the new year with for the afterparty."

He smiles at her, for real this time, exhaustion and regeneration hormones taking over, as his eyes blink as slowly as he speaks.

"I'm…fine. Just…debating something. I'm perfectly fine. I'm…don't know if I'm gonna…refrigerate. Reflagellate…..erm….renovate."

His eyes roll back in his head, as she scratches his temples with her fingernails, soothing him.

"Don't lie to me. You can't, remember? Two idiots, one braincell. And it's regenerate, numpty."

He knows well that he's rambling, now, as though he really had been partying all evening with her instead of chasing the Master all over creation and been a punching bag to the Time Lords.

"I just want to go to sleep, Donna. I've lived for too long. I… it's not worth it anymore. I've hurt too many…I literally broke your mind, remember?"

He rolls over, trying to pull himself up, and time is starting to disintegrate. Pulling him downwards as though he's melding into the floor.

He attempts to stand, getting up on all fours, trying to shake the vision of Donna from his brain, but his muscles fail him and he crumples yet again, his head landing this time squarely on her chest, as she remains sitting on the floor, his body literally curled into her.

She doesn't seem to mind, and for once she's not poking fun at his antics.

For a hallucination, he remarks how clear her heartbeat is. He isn't sure at this point whether she really is figment of his artron-addled imagination, or if the real Donna has somehow sleepwalked herself over here, before she'd ever even met him properly.

She says nothing, but she continues to wipe the grime and bile from his face and holds him tighter.

"Why… are you here, Donna?"

She doesn't speak at first.

But then, she does it softly, and in a tone she only uses when she's full of emotion.

"Because I wouldn't be anywhere else…to remind you first of all that you are indeed an idiot, and your brain is a giant arsehole. And that I'll always be here….And that there will never come a day that you don't deserve it. You are worth it, Doctor. You are worth it to me. You're worth another life, and I will always find you, in the end. You can't get rid of me that easily."

For the character thing, please do Rose Tyler

Ooo thats fun. I was not expecting a doctor who character. Ok. Lets go.

Why I like them: part of it is just because she was my first companion. I fell in love with Doctor Who through her. But also, theres something to be said for a perfectly normal, ordinary person with flaws and who probably doesnt think much of themselves, who is young and naive and loving, who ends up doing extraordinary things without some preternatural destiny guiding them. The only other companion who really hit on that was Bill. Donna had a bit, but there were elements of s4 that implied that it was all some sort of prophecy coming together. The DoctorDonna and all that. Rose really was so ordinary. Even Bad Wolf was born of something so ordinary, so human, this intense love and desire to protect. Rose was, in so many ways, such a perfect first companion, because from the beginning shes such an every girl. And she has so much compassion for so many. Everytime she interacts with people, especially people who work for other people, she treats them like people and like equals. Theres the mechanic in "the end of the world," gwenyth, etc. I just... Ugh. I love her. Bills still my fave, but rose is a VERY close second.

Why I don't like them: her selfishness. I dont know if its really that I dont like her because of it, because I like that she has a real, human flaw, and its a real reason that people might dislike them. It means shes well written, and feels real and human. But it still bugs me. Especially in s1, but even in parts of s2. She treats Mickey and her mother with this dissmissiveness, which is very immature. Like she thinks they only exist when shes around. She gets called on it though, and pretty early on. She never fixes it fully, especially where Jackie is concerned, but she makes an effort. But you can especially see it in school reunion, with her jealousy of sarah jane. She has a problem with the people she loves fully having lives outside of her, especially when those lives seem like a threat to the one shes creating.

Favorite Episode: the Parting of ways, fear her, turn left, or stolen earth/journeys end. Aka, im a simple girl with simple pleasures, and those pleasures are rose being a badass/saving the day. Special mention for the idiot lantern bc i must have watched it 20 times and they give me LIFE the doctor and rose in that episode.

Favorite season: 2. Shes starting to get more confident and sure of herself, but shes still human and flawed.

Favorite Line: whatever the hell she says during the christmas invasion, when shes trying to get the sycorax to leave. Its utter bull, makes zero sense, and its beautiful.

OTP: Doctor/Rose. Any doctor. Im a little desperate to see rose/thirteen. Also Rose/doctor/river. If ianto didnt exist, id say rose/jack/doctor, but alas, he does.

Favorite outfit: oh god. Either the one in the unquiet dead, the idiot lantern, the long game, or the doctor dances. There are so many more though. Her costuming was brilliant.

Headcanon: you mean besides time lord/immortal Rose? Ok here it goes.

So when Rose dropped out of high school for Jimmy Stone, she ran away. Went off on tour with Stone and his band. While on tour, she got.very close to the other band members, including the lead singer/lyricist, a very cute 20 yr old Welshman going through his rebellious phase named Ianto Jones, who helped her figure out she needed to go home and, in the process realized he needed to stop rebelling and start acting like a mature adult, leading to him eventually signing on with Torchwood. Meanwhile, Rose is stranded all the way in Paris because she won't stay on that tour bus with Jimmy, and she's terrified to call her mum, who had told her she'd never forgive her if she ran off and wasted her life on Jimmy. Penniless and desperate, walking alone in the rain, Rose thinks she's never going to make it back to London when she almost gets run over by a car after forgetting to watch where she's going and wandering into the street. The driver swerves and just barely miss her, and after pulling over, a man hops out of the car and starts admonishing her, when Rose bursts into tears. Feeling badly, the man insists on taking her home. She tells him home is in London, too far away for her to accept, but the man refuses to listen, telling her he was heading to London anyway, and here, why don't you borrow my cell phone and call your mum, I'm sure she wants you home. He's right of course, and Jackie cries from relief at hearing from her and is thrilled she's coming home. The man's name was Rory, she learned on the drive, and he was married to a wonderful woman who he loved named Amy, and they lived in Leeds but he was travelling around from work and he was heading from Paris to London because of it. It took six hours to gt back to London, and once they got there, her mum treated Rory to breakfast and he went on his way and rose never saw him again.

Yes, it was that Rory. He was with Amy and the Doctor and he got stranded in Paris in the early 2000's and he wasn't heading into London at all but he felt very bad about almost hitting the poor girl with his car and he recognized her from an old picture he found while he was wandering the Tardis and he brought it to the doctor to ask him about it and the Doctor got very sad and very quiet and walked very quickly away from the conversation and Rory figured that meant that he used to travel with her and there was a sad story in there somewhere and he was curious about the girl and how she'd inspire that kind of emotion from a man he'd rarely seen care about anything real.

Should I make this a fanfiction? I kind of want to make this an actual fic... Anyway.

Unpopular opinion: ...She is a very much not straight woman. I don't know if that's unpopular, but it isn't popular. Or at least, it isn't talked about.

A wish: That she comes back in S13 and we see a reunion. I am but a simple girl with simple pleasures and I have been WAITING WITH BATED BREATH FOR A ROSE COMEBACK FOR YEARS AND I AM O V E R D U E.

An OMG-Please-Don't-Ever-Happen: For a character that is no longer in the show there isn't much I can say. I'd be very disappointed if they brought Rose back and ruined it but that requires them to bring her back first.

anyone who thinks chris would willingly let the bsaa experiment and use rose after ethan puts her into his care really doesn’t know anything about him. he has never approved of that kind of thing and actively fought against it, and his faith is so shaken in the bsaa after years of being used and abused by the organisation he helped create ( re6, anyone? ) that he’s literally gone rogue because he cannot stand how the bsaa has handled the baker incident - that’s the whole reason he’s operating outside of them in village! nevermind that even in his prime, when the bsaa had finally become a proper thing with funding and jurisdictions and international operation as opposed to a small group, he abandoned and went against orders in kijuju to pursue what he thought was right - and that was getting proof that jill was alive and rescuing her, along with stopping wesker - when the bsaa wanted him to do nothing more than arrest irving and then give up when josh’s team was killed. chris has always been terrible at following the rules because he’s reckless and headstrong but most importantly, he is full of love. he thinks with his heart, not his head. even in re6, at his worst, thrown to the wolves by the bsaa despite the fact he’s got brain damage and is utterly traumatised, yes he chases after carla and abandons the mission but ultimately it’s out of love for the men he lost and the people he was supposed to protect and in the end, he puts that aside to rescue jake and sherry. hell the last cutscene of village ( not including the post-credits cutscene ) is him demanding answers from the bsaa and saying they have to pay for the damage they’ve caused, and realising that the organisation he helped create has become the thing they’re trying to stop ( and if it isn’t just laziness in the reuse of chris’ model, they’re using his body to do it ). you think he’d be like ‘no thats fine anyway here’s a superpowered baby have fun with her :)’.

we don’t even know for certain that it’s the bsaa in that end cutscene, it’s only assumed, because as far as i remember there’s no bsaa identifying marks - only men in suits, which speaks more to possibly government or dso than the bsaa who are all soldiers ( even the director, when we see o’brian, isn’t in a suit ). but the idea he would willingly let a little girl be used is simply absurd. i know out of the main four protags chris is the last favourite, and people just see him as meathead tough action dude ignoring how this man literally was going to let billions of people die at wesker’s hands so he could stay with his best friend because he loves her ( romantically or not ) and has repeatedly put himself in danger to protect people ( even as tyler holds a gun to his head, he still tries to reason with him. he attempts to do the same with mary. he puts rebecca’s life as his priority when it comes to arias, instead of the virus and the civilians being infected. he, ultimately, listens to leon even though leon is dismissive of the trauma he’s endured and the suffering “ada” has caused to millions of people because leon asks him to. the man has the date of the arklay incident on his gun in village because he’s still under the impression he owes it to his murdered stars member to do what’s right and prevent these things from ever happening again). chris, just like claire, is a character who loves and and as much as claire is the mother figure, chris is the father figure and i don’t doubt he would do everything in his power to uphold his promise to ethan and raise rose and keep her safe. whatever the situation, whether it’s something rose chose to do for whatever reason, or it was completely out of his hands, or whether he thinks it’ll be the safest option, if she was being used or experimented on he wouldn’t stand by and allow it - especially not after everything jill has been through ( even if capcom won’t update us on her ).

Summary: “Time Lord society was, as I was taught, created by three people. Rassilon, the great engineer, The Omega, the mind behind Gallifrey’s scientific advancements and-” she cut herself off suddenly, realisation dawning on her face and her entire body seemed to jolt with the force of the realisation that occurred to her, “Oh!”

“Doctor? What is-” Yaz started but she was quickly cut off by the Doctor who flapped her hands at her desperately.

“Yaz! I love you but shut up a minute. Let me think.” The human obediently fell quiet and they all watched as the Doctor began to pace suddenly, her eyes still wide before she dropped onto the steps leading further into the TARDIS, the realisation giving away to shock as she mumbled out her next words, “I’m the Other.”

6) This Is Where It Gets Complicated...

Summary: “Doctor!” He called out again, garnering a few looks from passers-by but he ignored them for now and began moving back the way they’d came, hoping to find either her or at least his grandson and Yaz if his initial search yielded no results, “Doctor?!”

“Oh hello! Hi? What is it?” Graham blinked, head turning at a male voice coming from his left and his frantic push through the crowds came to a stop as he looked at him, puzzled as to why he’d responded. The man was young looking, had dark hair that flopped over his face and looked as though he’d just stopped running his hands through it. He was dressed like someone three times his age in a tweed jacket and bowtie, but he pulled it off well enough, Graham supposed.

“Oh, sorry mate no. Not you, I’m looking for a friend of mine, they keep wandering off. The Doctor.” Graham didn’t stay still for longer than he needed to, waving the young man off as kindly as he could as he started walking again. He missed the slight grin that appeared on the guy’s face, but he definitely realised it when the man was suddenly at his side, helping him move through the crowds.

8) The Chain

Summary: “Who am I?” he exclaimed indignantly, hands flying about everywhere as he spoke, his head turning to his two companions as if to look to them for back up in the indignation and then he spun back, “I’m the Doctor. So, who is it? Which one of you said that you were me?” They stared for another few seconds, all not knowing what to do before Graham reached out a hand and hit his fist twice against the large metal piping that ran up the side of the room and up through the ceiling above. It gave off loud metal clangs and he called upwards, his voice hesitant.

“Uh, Doc?” there was a thump and a curse from up above, the Doctor no doubt dropping something and her voice rang through, echoing through the metal chamber up above that she’d had to crawl into the look into the problem.

“What is it? I’m a bit busy.” The man in the bowtie paused suddenly, glancing upwards at the hole in the roof where the metal grating cover had at one point been sat. Now just a hole into masses of wiring and ventilation and mechanical shafts.

Summary: Then she realised the heavy silence that had followed her question. She found it strange, her conversation with Jo so far had been light hearted in nature so it was a big shift for it to suddenly feel like this. She looked away from the book shelf she’d been perusing through and back to Jo who was staring at her with sad, pity filled, eyes. The Doctor felt her hearts drop to her stomach and dread spread throughout her body at that expression. She knew it far too well.

“Doctor...” Jo started, her tone gentle, but the Doctor cut her off with a shake of her head.

“No.” The word came out whispered and Jo’s face only scrunched up further in guilt and pity.

She really should’ve seen this coming. She let him have this one, hands resting on his upper arms, as long as he didn’t push his luck. They hadn’t seen each other in a long while.

S1 :

OMG I completely forgot how cheap was this show! The dialogues in s1 feels so forced and fake 🤮 Not to blame the actors, but sometimes it feels really unnatural, like you know you’re in a fantasy young adult tv show. It doesn’t feel like real life, like what real people would do/say. It’s too obnoxious and dramatic and... overly intense ?? 😕 Rewatching it, it might be the biggest flaw of the early seasons 🤷‍♀️

They all look SO YOUNG tough 😳

Mmmm... Stefan acts like a total creep in s1, it’s really giving me Twilight vibes 😅 like if I was Elena/Bella, I would be terrified of Stefan/Edward ! 😰 They’re creepy and stalky and weirdly intense / edgy about ordinary stuff... Their entire personality screams : “I AM A VAMPIRE AND I CANNOT CONTROL MYSELF AROUND YOU” which... #yikes 🤔

Caroline Forbes is my favorite character of the entire show, I love her SO much ❤️ “I’m never the one” is still one of the most powerful lines, for me, and I loved her characterisation throughout the show

Matt has been irrelevant since s1 🙄, honestly he was maybe funny/quirky in the double-date episode and regarding his relationship with Caroline (while not having moved on from Elena)...? But that was like a couple of episodes and apart from that he was just useless. I do not understand why he stayed alive that long

Jeremy.... oh Jeremy 😔 He was... such a cliché! He was what adults see as the “typical” rebellious edgy teenager who does nothing of his life except smoking weed. And no, I don’t like that caricature. His relationship with Vicky... 🤷‍♀️ I mean, sure, it was sweet that he cared for her that way and that he saw more in her than just the “stoned-ass trashy girl” 💁🏻‍♀️ that she was supposed to embody. But Jeremy really acted like “The Nice Guy”and it seemed like he was expecting something for being nice with Vicky. He acted like if Vicky owed him something, while she never asked for him to interfere in her problems 🙅‍♀️ I don’t know, I guess he was just supposed to be a lost teen, damaged by trauma, and I get that.

OK, so if I was Elena, seeing Katherine’s picture would FREAK. ME. OUT 😱 I would run away. So far away. I would tell everyone I love to run away 👀 I would just completely shut down. I would never want to see the guy ever again (who clearly has a fetish and an unhealthy obsession!!). I mean, talk about being clinched to your ex

Damon and Caroline’s relationship was SO TOXIC in s1 !! 💥 And the show never really acknowledged that!! I mean, sure, they did, but I don’t think Damon realised the pain he caused her: he manipulated her, fed on her, hurt her, compelled her, used her to get what he wanted, abused her, put her life in danger, over and over again 🤢🤬😡

LEXIIIIIIIIII 💖💖💖 Finally! I remember I liked her a lot, but she’s just one of the best, purest character! I’m so happy Stefan can AT LEAST count on her 💕

WHAT?! 😱 SHE DIED SO SOON IN THE SHOW??!?? 💔😭 I didn’t remember that at all! I think my mind erased that fact from my mind because it hurt too much!

Ugh, Logan 😑

I hate what they did with Bonnie 😡 In s1 she’s this incredibly judgy character who ruins every single plan by having ridiculously high moral standards (for this fictional universe, at least), ugh. I love her but they used her to create unnecessary conflict in the show and she didn’t deserve that. Also she didn’t deserve all the pain, the deaths & the misery. She’s one of the (many) characters who have suffered SO MUCH throughout the seasons and they really did her dirty and i’m so mad about that !!

The flashbacks from 1864 were quite well done. I always found it interesting to learn more about Katherine’s past and the Salvatore brothers’ tragic origin story.

Isobel being Elena’s biological mother AND Alaric’s ex wife was... so weird 🤨

Overall, I don’t have a lot of opinions for that season because I was bored half of the time 🤷‍♀️ I just really wasn’t interested about the plot and/or the characters because it was all so cliché and cheap. This season was really bad. It’s not working at all, for me at least.

S2 :

Katherine is a GREAT character and you can’t fight me on that 💁🏻‍♀️👠👑

The addition of the werewolves was quite a good idea, though it was predictable so far. Werewolves and vampires often come together in fantasy 🤷‍♀️ Tyler’s storyline was interesting though 🤔 The whole idea of a curse that you activate when you become responsible for someone’s death, no matter your intentions, was good.

CAROLINE BECOMING A VAMPIRE WAS ONE OF THE BEST THING HAPPENING TO THIS SHOW : YES ! 👏 She was such a better person as a vampire. She was arguably the best vampire of them all, the one who truly succeeded the most at adapting at her new life 💕

I DO NOT understand WHY Damon would ask for troubles to Mason, a werewolf, whose bite is DEADLY to him 🙄

Elijah was so different in s2 than I remembered. So uptight, and yet so evil ?? I remembered him as the nice brother in the Michaelson family. But the way he relentlessly targets Rose and her family and friends... yikes 😣🥺

Klaus was so HYPED by the show. Even Katherine herself was terrified of him 😱 And when you think about it, he might be one of the most dangerous creature of TVD’s lore... 🧐 But compared to other vilains, he was quite friendly.

Bonnie and Jeremy... mmm.... sure. You know what, it doesn’t scream “soulmate” but it doesn’t have to be. It can be just a messy, complicated, unexplainable crush. It can just be two people liking each other and enjoying each other’s company without trying to look for a deeper thing. Plus the situation is so awkward, with Jeremy being Bonnie’s best friend’s little baby brother, that it was fun to watch! 😄

My heart still feels for Jenna 💔 She had just learnt the truth about vampires and she had JUST figured out why everyone in her life was acting so weird... and then she died. And idk she was a lovely, messy, funny, pure heartface, completely lost gardian... 💕 and I’m gonna miss her. I would have liked to see her react to what happened next on the show (and how she could have supported Elena & Jeremy through all of this, etc.) 🥺

OF COURSE STEFAN WOULD MAKE A DEAL WITH KLAUS TO GET A CURE FOR HIS BROTHER! Is this Supernatural?

So, yeah, same thing here: most of the storylines developed in this season didn’t interest me whatsoever. So I don’t have a lot of things to say about this season, but just bear with me pls 🐻

S3 :

I absolutely adore Stefan as a ripper in s3. Especially regarding his complicated relationship with Klaus... I think his dependency / addiction to blood is really interesting 🤔 Stefan can’t be a regular vampire, drinking blood from humans then erasing their memories / drinking from blood blags. He can’t because he feels so guilty for the lives he takes / the pain he inflicts on other. So he’s like all or nothing 🤷‍♀️ A human blood-free diet guy. Or a merciless killer.

Regarding of the whole delena / stelena ship war... *sighs* 😔 I honestly don’t know 🤷‍♀️ Both relationships seem hella toxic (for different reasons, but still). I do believe Elena loved them both (maybe not at the same time, though). So, I don’t know who she should have ended up with... I remember shipping her with Damon on my first watch, but now I realise that was purely for the bad boy vibes (i.e bad boy, who, deep down, isn’t so bad because turns out he can change and blah blah blah... ugh what a cliché i know 🙄). So anyway, I’m not gonna defend Delena, it’s as messed up as Stelena if you ask me. But that’s where my heart went on the first watch and that’s who she canonically ends up with, so I’m not gonna fight it and try to make a case of whether she should have ended up with another person (or alone?). In my head, she’s with Damon 🙃 Just cause’ it’s easier, more convinient, and I’m lazy that way 😅 But I understand people who ship/prefer Stelena over Delena. I’m just not THAT invested in this freaking love triangle anymore ✋

The show really took off when they introduced the original vampires if you ask me 🧛‍♂️ Their backstory is so tragic, and after that, it makes more sense why Elijah, Rebekah and Klaus are so close, trust each other so much and manage to forgive the worst of each other💖

Rebekah, that poor girl who only ever wanted to have a human normal life and to BOND with people (whether they were family, friends or more than friends...) 💕has been betrayed by EVERYONE 🔪She was daggered more times than I can even count, and I’m surprised she hasn’t killed everyone out of pure revenge yet!

Yeeeeep. Still ships Klaroline. ❤️

My God, what would I give to see Caroline explore this world and enjoy the perks of her vampire life with Klaus...🥰 She wanted that. She secretly dreamed of that. And frankly, she deserved that. She deserved to feel happy and fulfilled and excited about her future! She deserved more than the life she got in Mystic Falls ✨ More than Tyler! More than Jessy. More than Damon. And more than Stefan too, even if she did seem happy with him in the end. I think I liked Klaus as a romantic option for the same reasons I liked Damon back then. For the challenge. For the way they always push their girlfriends further, and make them want more of life than what they’ve got. For the way they make them ambitious.

I think the reason this season feels so useless is because they try to find a way to eliminate the Original family... only to find out that if they do that, EVERY VAMPIRE EVER WILL ALSO DIE 👏

I despised the whole evil alter ego trope that they did with Alaric 😪😴 I liked the idea of the ring having real bad consequences. But here, Alaric can’t take responsibility for wanting to cheat on death precisely because he has a second personality that he cannot control. The blame is just put on somebody else, an entire other person that just cohabits in Alaric’s body. I never really liked the whole Dr Jekill & Mr Hide trope 🤷‍♀️ And I don’t think it was bringing anything to the table, honestly. It’s boring (because SO obvious and predictable) and it takes forever to deal with (ugh) 😑

NOOOOOOOOOO RICK 😭💔 He was one of my favorite character. I really loved his relationship with Elena and Jeremy + his friendship with Damon. I’m gonna miss him really hard. The scene with Damon on his grave was really sweet 🥺

S4:

Elena being a vampire : YES! 👏 We’ve been waiting for this for so long, the show really needed this to go on (realistically the show would have had trouble to move on if Elena would have stayed human for a lot longer). So I’m really glad about that being the premise for s4 ☺️ Plus her transition is well handled, with her memories coming back + her emotions being heightened (the scene where she bursts into laugh and cannot stop was really funny and somehow relatable 😂).

The scene in the car with Stefan, Matt & Elena VS Stefan, Elena & her father was really well done! 👏 I loved the parallel where she wants Stefan to save Matt first, just like her father wanted him to save Elena first. So touching 💕 It’s a tough choice and Stefan will have to live with both consequences for the rest of his life, which will NOT be easy with Damon blaming him for Elena’s death. But, really, Damon kinda has a point : "in what world are you [Matt] the one that gets to live?”. Matt has been saved so many times on the show and it’s legit to ask yourself : WHY? Why him? 🤷‍♀️He’s so irrelevant and useless. But I get that’s the whole point. Human life is irrelevant and useless (in the great scheme of things). And yet, we fight for it ✊ Because somehow it matters.

S4 helped me remember what I didn’t like about Stefan, regarding his relationship with Elena. He really had a big problem with her being a vampire, and he spent half of his time trying to “control” / “fix” her 🙄 He’s got such high standards for Elena when she turns into a vampire. It’s like he expects her to not make the same mistakes as he - or any other vampire in the history of vampirism - did. He desperately wants her to be a “good” vampire right away and avoid the “killer without humanity” phase 🤔 Which is understandable. He doesn’t want her to become a bad vampire who doesn’t care about human life, as he was during his ripper phase (or like Damon).

Damon truly accepted her, the new her, vampire! Elena 👐 You can argue that it’s because he’s selfish and he wants people to act as bad and carelessly as him (that’s why he tried to manipulate Stefan into drinking human blood again in s1 : he doesn’t want to be alone and he needs someone else to party with)... But he isn’t selfish when it comes to Elena 🤷‍♀️ The show proved us that. He wanted her to have a human normal life, to be happy, to grow old and have children. He wanted to give her that, and that’s why he would have saved her over Matt on the bridge. He’s not happy that she is a vampire. That’s not what he wanted. Never. But now that she is, and that there’s nothing they can do about it (that they know of), Damon tries to make the best out of it

Anyway, Caroline is such a better teacher then Damon or Stefan 😅 Drop the Salvatore brothers and get educated on the vampire life with your bff, Elena !

Elena being sired by Damon, OMMGG! 😮😮😮 So much drama, I really loved it. It was smart to use that as a way to postpone Delena for a little bit - playing on the general doubt that Elena might not truly love Damon and she might just be under the influence of the sire bond. Which, let’s be honest, was a legit consideration to have. So, yeah... REALLY GLAD that, in the end, the sire bond didn’t create those feelings out of nowhere, it only heightened and amplified what was already there beforehand. Otherwise, it would have been really problematic, especially regarding consent issues 😕

I love that Damon makes the right choice again with Elena and “sets her free”. He doesn’t want their relationship to be fake. And so he uses the sire bond to send her away, to be herself, to live her life without worrying about what makes him happy. You can say everything you want about Damon, at least he gets it right by her ☝️Just like when he confessed his feelings to her, but compelled her to forget because she’s in love with Stefan and he doesn’t want to mess it up. He was not selfish when it came to her.

It was really heartbreaking to see Jeremy becoming a hunter and having the sudden urges to kill his own sister and basically everybody else in his life 😢

Poor Carol Lockwood! 💔 She didn’t deserve to die. She tried so hard to help for Tyler, even when she learnt he was a werewolf, she cared so much for him...😭

Their inability to communicate with each other is INSANE. At some point in s4, they all know Shane is practicing a magic called “Expression”. Damon and Stefan also know that kind of magic is incredibly dark and dangerous (from their little trip to New Orleans when they tried to find a way to deactivate the sire bond and the witch there told them she wasn’t practicing this kind of magic). But NO ONE has still put two and two together. And so, Bonnie keeps blindly trusting Shane and hanging out with him 🤦‍♀️

The whole search for the cure was quite interesting and entertaining to watch! Each one of them wanted it for a different reason : destroy it, use it, share it, give it away, save it for later... Which really well portrayed how people can react to the idea of mortality. The fact that there’s only one dose was really genius! That makes it even more interesting to see who’s gonna fight for it (i.e. Rebekah, Stefan), who’s gonna just drop it because turns out they didn’t really want it to begin with (i.e. Damon, Caroline), who’s gonna exchange/bargain it and for what (i.e Katherine, maybe), who’s gonna get it the end and what will they do with it. Will it all be worth it? 🧐

Jeremyyyyy 💔😭 R.I.P 💀

Honestly, even though I still think Matt is irrelevant to the show, let’s remember he also has lost every single person in his life (his dad and his mom are basically gone, Vicky is dead, Tyler left town again, his goddamn history teacher died too) - and now he can add Jeremy, his best friend, to the list 😭 He’s handling it all WAY better than anyone else. I mean you don’t see him burning down the house he grew up in for instance! However, I agree that Elena have lost more people in her family than him (her adoptive parents, Jenna, Alaric, Jeremy, even John... and Isobel is basically gone too). But it’s not like you can compare their lost, anyway. They boty suffered a lot, but I just wanted to say... I liked that the show acknowledged Matt lost someone important for him too 💕

No humanity! Elena, OOMMMGGG!! 🤯 I was so mad when it happened, because Damon could have just used the sire bond to make her deal with her brother’s death, he could have just helped through the grief and tell her it was going to be okay. He didn’t need to make her turn off her humanity 🙄 Real dumb move here!

I kinda liked the friendship between Elena without humanity and Rebecca! Their little trip starting off in NY was fun!

Katherine is, and will always be, the baddest bitch in town! ❤️ I was quite surprised to see her kill Jeremy so heartlessly, but I guess it fits the character. She’ll always be looking out for herself and the opportunity to take the cure and be one step ahead of everyone was obviously too good to leave out. She always had to fight for her own survival, in a world that’s always been dangerous and ruthless against her, so it makes sense she became who she is 🤷‍♀️

Of all the things that could have triggered Elena’s humanity flip switch, really? Matt Donovan? 🤨😑 I mean, it makes sense since Elena seems to value his life over everything else, including her own. But from what we’ve seen so far, she wasn’t really happy when she was dating Matt 😕 They used to fight a lot, they didn’t want the same thing out of life, they just were really different people. And that’s fine, they didn’t work out as a couple, but they can stay friend... Except you don’t really see them interract THAT much as friends. I mean it’s a lot of "say" and not enough "show", for me 🧐 You don’t feel the bond that two best friends should have... between them. You don’t see inside jokes, common interests, similar hobbies, laughters and tears, serious conversations that last for hours, or small talks over the phone... Anyway, from what we were shown so far, she shouldn’t feel that close to Matt. Not more than, idk, Bonnie, Caroline, Damon or Stefan for instance! So the fact that she cares SO MUCH about him is kinda strange 🤔

The whole college experience with Caroline and Elena was so fun to rewatch😁 I wish Bonnie could have been there though, even if she kinda was.

It feels good to watch Elena and Damon being happily in love together and enjoying the summer ❤️☀️ But when you think about Stefan drowning over and over in that lake... it feels so bad :(

Katherine as a human is devastatingly entertaining! "I’m the freaking moonstone" 🤣 So iconic that she, of all people, took the cure! I loved that twist.

I loved the complicated and messy love triangle between Quetsiya, Amara and Silas. I want to empathise with Quetsiya and support her, because Silas screwed her over in such a supernatural, mystical way... he cheated on her and tricked her. He manipulated her to get what he wanted. So yeah, I’m all team Quetsiya ✊ but then again, she is sort of over-paranoid and obssesive? 🤷‍♀️ And being screwed over by a guy doesn’t exactly justify her quest for vengeance. So... I guess the only one who’s okay is Amara?? We don’t see a lot of her but I respect her wish to die after thousands of year in pain, as the anchor of the other side (which, btw, was BRILLIANT! 🤯 Quetsiya’s a genius! o.O)

"You are my life" ❤️ GOD, Damon always finding the right words!

I hate the travelers storyline 🙅‍♀️ I find it incredibly boring and I’m not that attached to Nadia. The only thing I liked about her was her relationship with her mom, Katherine. But apart from that, I don’t really like them as villains, nor as their storyline with Silas 😑😕

Stefan loosing his memory is okay-ish. It’s such a cliché as a trope, but it sort of works because Paul Wesley does such a great work at portraying different Stefans 👍 and it’s always entertaining to watch. And even though I usually ship Delena, I have to admit Elena recreating some moments with Stefan was very cute! 💕So it works but I’m not a big fan.

What I am a big fan of is the evolving relationship between Damon and Jeremy! 🥰 I mean, you can see that he didn’t really care about him, that he was mostly protecting him as a way to please Elena... But then, something changed 🤔He started caring for him for real, kinda like a big brother would:)

MY POINT EXACTLY 👏 I loved when they figured out all the little details that have been wrong ever since the beginning of this whole mess, like : Katherine was the reason that Tyler knew Caroline slept with Klaus. And Caroline’s like : oooohhh it all makes sense now. Wow. Congrats for figuring this out just now! 🙄

BUT. But, but, but, I was so upset about Damon!! It was just a matter of time and if they would have just kept going with the spell for a few seconds (damn you, Luke!), he would have been able to come through! Btw, that’s exactly what I meant about Bonnie’s character. Throughout the seasons she never stops sacrificing herself for other people (sometimes those people don’t even deserve it). She keeps lying to everyone. She lied when she died the day of graduation. She didn’t say how much it hurt her to be the anchor. She lied when she said they had a way to bring her back from the Other Side when it was collapsing. She kept minimising her (big-ass) problems. She kept putting other people before herself. And she’s one of the characters who suffered the most. Her storyline revolves around pain. The show doesn’t allow her to be fully happy. And btw, no one truly cares about her happiness (except maybe Jeremy and then Enzo), at least not when somebody else’s safety or comfort is at play. She’s never number 1 on the priority list. If somebody needs her to do a spell or whatever, they will use her. No matter how much danger she puts herself in 🤬

I loved the way everybody coped with Bonnie and Damon’s deaths 💕 Elena got addicted to some magical herbs that made her hallucinate Damon again because she couldn’t deal with his death. Jeremy left a tone of angry voicemails to Bonnie’s old phone - which he paid for. Caroline got dragged into work and research in order to find a way to get back in Mystical Falls. Stefan moved on completely and started off a new life. It’s just... a nice way to show grief 😊

Ooohh I smell some Steroline moments!! Poor Caroline. To me, she deserved better than Stefan! He was such a jerk to her, especially in the beginning 😤😡

NOOOOOOOOOOOO 💔 ELENA DON’T ERASE YOUR MEMORIES! WHAT! WILL! YOU! DO! WHEN! DAMON! INEVITABLY! COMES! BACK! Elenaaaaa 😤 You have to learn how to deal with grief for real !

The fact she trusts Rick completely to do that was so beautiful though... They’re family and it was nice to see their bond.

Bonnie and Damon were kinda cute ! Like I don’t ship them, per say. But I get why some people do 🤷‍♀️ They had chemistry and they worked as an enemies to lovers trope. Anyway, I personally liked their friendship, how they both learnt how to support each other, how to function as a team, how they helped each other through the worst! In the end, Damon truly cared about her, and that’s why he was ready to do anything in order to save her 💪

I totally ship Jalaric ! ❤️ I loved how Elena tried to fix them up together! They’re really cute together. They both have complicated pasts and a messy family. The fact that Elena wanted her memories back JUST when Alaric became human again was just... aaarrghh 🤬

The Gemini coven was really interesting. This idea of such a dysfunctional family, with a psychopath brother who killed half his siblings to merge with his twin sister in order to get leadership for the coven... it was all very compelling! Loved it ❤️

There was literally no good outcome to that whole twin-merging-together mess. If Liv merged with Luke, one of them would die and that’s not an option! If Kai merged with Jo, there was a huge chance he would win, which is simply not acceptable at all. Anyway, what a mess!

Kai literally sucking all the magic from the travelers’ spell, finally breaking it, allowing vampires to come back to Mystic Falls, was just... wOw! o.O

First Steroline kiss! 😳😮 Okay, that was kinda cute, I have to admit. But still, I don’t like the fondation of this ship, I think that Stefan hurt her too bad and, most importantly, didn’t respect her enough to get to come back and kiss her.

Sheriff Forbes being sick was KILLING me 😭😭😭 She didn’t deserve that at all, she was the sweatest, kindest, purest, most compassionate woman on this show... and she passed it on to Caroline...

I do not understand why people on this show just won’t accept people turning off their humanity switch 🤷‍♀️ I mean, Stefan, Damon, Elena,... they all did it! And every single time, the others tried really hard to fix that. And I’m like : why? I’m not sure it’s the smartest move here 🧐 Because they usually end up making things worse 😑 Look at Elena : she just wanted to not feel the pain of her brother’s death for a while. She even tried to make a deal with Stefan and Damon : leave me alone, let me do my things and I’ll behave. But of course, they refused 🙄🤦‍♀️ Because they couldn’t accept the fact that their precious Elena would ever be bad and do bad thing 😒🙄 And then Elena became ruthless! Who would have thought? 🙄 Same for Caroline! The poor girl lost her mother. She just wanted to get waisted, sing some karaoke songs, and live her vampire life without any care in the world. She even erased Liam’s memories when she fed on him. Her first instinct was to buy new clothes to start over and come back to her dorm to keep leaving her old college life! She kinda had it under control 🤷‍♀️ And then, she suggested a deal, kind of like the one Elena tried to make with Stefan and Damon :☝️ one year without humanity, and she behaves and doesn’t kill anyone. That’s a good deal if you ask me 🤷‍♀️ Why not let her have that? Why not agree with that deal? Caroline without humanity is still Caroline (sort of) : she’s functional, and to quote Caroline herself : she is not an idiot. She doesn’t want to feel so she’s ready to do anything to not be bothered. I think she would have respected her end of the deal. If you take a good look at it, in both cases, it’s when other people tried to bring them back, when they broke the deal, that Elena/Caroline became killers.

Stefan shutting off his humanity was so dumb 🤦‍♀️🙄 Elena was going to find Sarah, he still had time! And even if she didn’t, and Liam killed Sarah, it’d be one ☝️ dead body. But by turning off his humanity, Stefan practically ensured that there’d be more dead bodies after that!

Damon’s mom... urf, yeah? sure. I guess I should care? 🤷‍♀️ Honestly, even when I first watched the show, I found that storyline super boring. She didn’t inspire me anything whatsoever. Anyway, using her as Stefan’s emotional trigger was sort of smart, but kinda reckless. I mean, they had no idea if it was gonna work or not, and still they still risked it, I-... urf 🤦‍♀️

I liked Stefan’s little revenge 😈😈 He’s like : no, no, no, Caroline, you don’t get to have an elaborate system that protects you from feeling guilt whenever you’ll decide to turn your humanity back on. I know it was her choice and it was probably for the best, but I think Elena taking the cure was a big mistake 😕 The show was way more entertaining when she was a vampire, and they basically erased every possibility of a "happy" ending for my favorite characters 💔 Elena will loose everyone she ever cared about, including Stefan and Caroline. She will have to move out of Mystic Falls and isolate herself from all her former friends. Damon is taking the cure with her so he will have to say goodbye to his own brother, the only family he has left. All of that... for a human life ?? A meaningless job?? Bills to pay?? School?? Money issues?? A house to maintain?? Misery and despair?? Children?? In that messed up world?? With that economy??? And the environment crisis we’re living?? Nope, I don’t get it 🤷‍♀️ I just don’t.

Stefan and Damon would travelled the whole world to meet with different witches, trying to find some kind of magic that could undo the spell. No one would ever listen to Kai and just do nothing! I mean, he could be bluffing for all they know 😵 He could be saying that in order to mess with them. Were they really gonna take his word for granted? 🤔 I’m not saying "try the first anti-spell you find and roll the dices", but at least try and look for something!

I... liked the Heretics!😳 They were a fun new, even if they reminded me of Pearl and her vampire friends (in the "we are trying to coexist with humans but some of us don’t want to" trope). And again, I kinda have a thing for supernatural dysfunctional family, so... 🤷‍♀️ Valerie was very relatable as a depressed immortal being, Beau was so loyal it was really sweet, Malcom was boring but he died pretty quickly so he wasn’t in the show for long, Mary Louise and Nora were... the absolute cutest couple ❤️

How many times can they evacuate Mystic Falls without people realizing something’s wrong? 🤔 How many stories about gaz leak can they come up with?? 🤦‍♀️ Where are all the humans going? They’re moving away because they’re all compelled, sure, but to go where? like how can that many people find new homes in new cities, especially considering this crappy housing market? It just seems pretty unlikely that these people would just start over so easily, find new jobs, new homes for their families🧐

Stefan & Valerie was basically Steferine all over again 🤷‍♀️ I don’t have anything against Valerie herself. I think she’s probably the nicest one amongst the heretics. I even liked her chemistry with Stefan but it’s the same storyline recycled all over again, so I don’t really care much. Plus, I liked the idea that Katherine was Stefan’s first love (💕). First of all, Katherine being Stefan’s first love makes their story... EPIC. We, as an audience, care deeply about Katherine (whether we like her or not). She’s a regular and important character. We want her to have a compelling story, one that fits the legend that was Katherine Pierce. Valerie, as nice and interesting as she can be, only appears in the two last season. Plus, if Stefan had already been in love with Valerie and had already had his heart broken BEFORE knowing Katherine, then he should have acted differently when he met her 💡 He should have been way more suspiciously towards her 🧐 he wouldn’t have so easily trusted another woman, coming at his door with a pity story... if he had already been betrayed and abandoned by THE FIRST WOMAN he ever loved, the one who took his "v-card", his first love.

OMG CAROLINE’S PREGNANT??? 🤰WITH RIC’S BABIES??? 😱 I... I don’t even know what to think of that. I don’t really know how to react... Good for the twins? I guess? Yay, they’re alive? But... I don’t know, seems kinda rapy to put someone else’s babies inside a woman’s body without her consent ?? 🧐

The fact that Valerie HAD to confess her very traumatic story, to multiple people, MULTIPLE TIMES... because it was convenient to the plot was disgusting! 🤮🤬 She was merely used as a reason to try to kill Julian... Valerie was beaten by Julian to the point she lost her baby! She never said anything because she was afraid no one would believe her/people would judge her/people would hurt her - which is completely understandable considering how traumatic this must have been for her! But then she comes back to MF and Stefan keeps asking her to justify herself like she owes him a goddamn explanation for not having returned earlier as she had promised... um? I get that Stefan had his heart broken back then, but aren’t you mature enough NOW to understand something wrong must have happened?? And that maybe she just doesn’t want to talk about it because it still hurts?? It’s HER life and she is entitled to live it however the hell she wants?? EVEN if she just changed her mind and decided not to come back for an entirely different reason, it’s her choice! Having sex with someone ONCE doesn’t mean you OWE them anything! 🤦‍♀️🤬 Promises were made, sure, but they were both very young and things can change! ANYWAY... And when they need allies to kill Julian, she is almost forced to tell her story again, just to make people feel pity and sympathy... She’s not a damn tool, for God’s sake, respect the poor girl! 😤

While rewatching the show, I kind of like that they addressed Lily’s romantic patterns and how she had a tendency to chose violent, controlling, abusing husbands (first Giuseppe, and then Julian...) 🧐 It was touching to hear her story, and to understand that she only stayed with Giuseppe back then to protect her sons, Damon & Stefan. She had a plan to run away, she wanted to escape because she knew she was in danger with him, she was well aware he wasn’t treating her right. But sometimes you can’t just go away. Sometimes things are more complicated. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I liked that she realised her own pattern and that she tried to stand up for herself against Julian after that... even though it didn’t end well (which... seriously? 🤦‍♀️ She killed herself? Is that the message you wanna send to all the people stuck in abusive/violent relationship? 🤮)

Damon burning Elena’s coffin... 🔥🔥 Yeah. Sure. As if 🙄 Honestly, even on my first watch, I wasn’t believing it. The show without Elena is such a catastrophic mess! If she had died in her sleep, it would have been devastating. I don’t think the show would have survived that. I think it would have been cancelled before s8, or something like that.

Stefan was... surprisingly not reacting a lot to Caroline being PREGNANT🤰?? I mean... I don’t know... I was expecting some kind of big talk about it. Like "hey Caroline, how are you feeling about all this? What are your thoughts about having Ric’s babies? Do you even want to pursue the pregnancy (cause you DON’T have to carry someone else’s babies!)? What does this pregnancy mean to you? What will happen once the babies are born? Would you consider having shared custody with Ric? Or if you don’t want to be involved at all, would you like the twins not to know you were the one who carried them? Did you ever or would you ever want to be a mom? Would you want to have children of your own in the future? Do you ever think of that?” 🤷‍♀️ And those are just EXAMPLES. He didn’t have to ask all of these questions all at once! But you know, I wish they could have at least discussed some of these points together. Instead, he just let her "handle her things", because good old organised Caroline has every figured it out, of course! 🙄🙄 sure, she can take care of everything on her own 🤦‍♀️

I didn’t like the idea of putting Damon & Stefan in the Phoenix Stone... if it was all JUST to do THAT in the end. They tried to add some PTSD, pain and remorse but failed at making it compelling to the audience. Wooow, Stefan must let go of his toxic relationship with his brother in order to save himself... How obnoxious can you be, TVD? And oooohh, Damon must get rid off his toxic masculinity to face the fact that he loved and misses his mother... how original!! 🙄 I just feel like TVD was trying hard to be deeper than they were, and it didn’t work (for me)

FINALLY JULIAN IS DEAD 🙌🙏🎉

The Huntress was, like, a JOKE, okay? She’s supposed to have killed a thousands of vampires. Even heretics feared her. Stefan & Damon should already have been dead by now! What is she doing? How are we supposed to be afraid of her? She’s not doing anything, she is barely a threat 🤦‍♀️

I LOVE how Klaus just IMMEDIATELY understood that Caroline was NEVER gonna let go of these kids 😍 I just love how he ultimately gets her, how he’s able to predict exactly what’s she’s going to do because he just knows her that well. Their phone talk was VERY cute ❤️ I love how he teased her with her own words : how she said she couldn’t possibly allow herself to be with him because she was "in college, building a life for herself” and he just wasn’t in the picture... and then turns out... she had kids! 😅 He sounded surprised but not completely shocked and I love how he was very understanding and sweet with her, she needed that 💕

Btw this season is just desperately LONG!

Awwww... Caroline... 😬 I understand why she wanted to stay in Dallas, and why she asked Stefan to consider moving here... but she should have been honest with him right away, the minute he picked up the phone. She should have told him she wanted to be involved in these kids’ life. I know that she was afraid Stefan wouldn’t want to “settle down" with her and take care of the twins... but she could have asked him. Directly. Clearly. Maybe he wouldn’t have minded living with her and raising the twins in some kind of shared custody 🤷‍♀️ Family comes in all shapes and sizes (💖), and as long as they told the truth to the twins, it wouldn’t have been a problem. And if Stefan didn’t want that at all, or wasn’t ready, or whatever, then they could have ended their relationship in a healthy way. By acknowledging they both wanted different things and that it just didn’t work out, as it often happens in life. But here, they’re just stuck in the middle... and it’s awkward 😳😐 Clearly, Caroline wants to live near the girls. She wants to be their mom, and clearly Stefan doesn’t seem THAT into it. But no one is saying anything and it’s just weird! 😤

I understand why Damon would make the choice of dessiccating in a coffin until Elena came back 🙂 He didn’t do it just for love. Not just because he missed her. Not because life was unbearable without her. That would have been really lame btw 😒 He did it because he didn’t want to directly or indirectly hurt people around him. And you know what, for once that was kind of the best, most reasonable - and most noble - decision to make. I was proud of him. The letter he gave Alaric was pretty sweet, but I’m glad Bonnie got to catch him before he left 💕

Bonnie saying "I’m not okay with that”😭 I was soooo glad that FOR ONCE she said what she was really thinking ! 👐Damon is her best friend, and I truly believe learning he left in a letter would have been devastating for her 😞 His choice means she will most likely NEVER see him again, ever, in her entire life 💔 I can totally understand her asking sincerly "are we friends?" cause if one my friends dared to do that, I would be pretty upset. I liked that she asked him to be honest. No joke. No deflecting mecanism. No sarcasm. No insults. Just the truth. ❤️

I genuinely felt bad for Valerie 😞 you can see she truly loved Stefan and it must have hurt to see he didn’t feel the same, despite having spent basically three years together :/ Again, that’s kind of my general problem with Stefan: he’s so afraid he’s gonna hurt people that he’s never fully honest with anyone! 🙄 Same shit with Caroline. He just abandoned her because he couldn’t deal with this situation. What Stefan fails to realise is that he does hurt people by keeping things from them, by always running away. I’m sorry but women around him deserve better 🤷‍♀️

Bonenzo... I remember shipping it back then, but now, I just don’t feel it 🤷‍♀️ i get why people do, sure they both care deeply about each other and you can clearly see that (the guitar scenes were very cute 💕)... but it’s mostly flashbacks and that doesn’t have the same effect on me. Because I wasn’t there to see them developing a special bond over time. I still think they’re cute and I’m happy to see Bonnie finally fall in love with someone who truly loves her back ❤️

OF COURSE BONNIE IS THREATENED BY SOME MAGICAL ELEMENT THAT IS SORT OF CONVENIENT FOR THE STORY. OF COURSE. 🤬😡 I’m so mad, I’m so fucking mad at the show for treating her this way. She’s always the one in danger. She can never be happy for more than two episodes!!

Ric running the armory makes sense actually! I’m quite happy about that :) he’s been wanting real hard to get back to his Indiana-Jones type of life ✊ He would have never been happy with a perfect little family life... even with Jo, I believe 🤷‍♀️ He truly loved her but at the end of the day, he has just seen too much. He knows too much to just stop fighting at all. That’s what makes him Ric.

I understand why Damon would submit completely to Sybil : he has always hated himself for all the terrible things he’d done, he has always thought he wasn’t worthy of redemption, and now Sybil provided him a proof of that, a vision of literal Hell, of eternal torture... 👺😈 plus she erased all memories of Elena 😭 he has no reason not to work for Sybil. She’s the only one who can provide a way out of Hell. Who wouldn’t take that deal? If I suddenly found out no matter what you do, you’re damned to an eternity of pain and misery and loneliness, and the only way to escape that is to work for Satan, aka Cade, I would probably do it too 🤷‍♀️

The way Enzo resisted Sybil’s mind control for Bonnie was really sweet 💕 I felt bad when he had to shut down his humanity to save her life 😭

Honestly, I know I should care about Tyler’s death but he was never my favorite character and he’s been so... in and out of the show that I kinda stopped caring about him at all (since he wasn’t exactly a regular character) 😕 But he surely didn’t deserve to be collateral damage in that mess :( Also, I thought Caroline would react a bit strongly. I mean, Tyler was important for her and she barely said something? Weird 🤷‍♀️

CAROLINE AND STEFAN ARE GONNA GET MARRIED !! 💍 She said YES! OMG! Tbh I might not ship them (because I think Stefan got away with the pain he caused her a little bit too fast) but I’m happy for Caroline: she finally got to have her June Wedding!! 💛🎉 (though I’d prefer she married Klaus of course!)

I really liked the whole mythology of the sirens 🧜‍♀️ the story about the village girl and the island girl becoming sisters, having to kill and eat people in order to survive, was heartbreaking! But I was so sure Sybil was the “nice” one 🥺 Poor girl

Noooooo, poor Georgie 😭💔 knowing she is going straight to Hell is horrible, considering she’s seen and experienced it before and she knows what awaits her :(

Sebine played her game very well, no one suspected her to be Sybil’s sister 🤔 she’s really creepy and I’m so so so afraid for the girls 😱 she clearly has an evil plan for them and I’m so anxious 😱

And she thought he deserved a chance, because deep down he is such a sweet, loving, caring person. He might not look like it, but he’s maybe the one who cares the most and who’s actually ready to do anything for his loved ones. I think Enzo might be the big love of her life. And I’m so happy she got to have that. I’m so happy she got to meet him, to enjoy his company for a little while, to appreciate every happy moments ❤️

Okay, first I was like “I don’t understand why is everybody so obsessed with the idea of saving Mystic Falls”. 🤷‍♀️ Sure it’s their home, their childhood town, full of memories and all... but since Matt helped evacuate the entire town, there was no immediate danger for the population of MF. And at the end of the day, it’s JUST a town 🏙 It’s just buildings and roads and objects that can be replaced. It can be rebuilt over time. So Bonnie, Caroline, Damon, Stefan... they could have all just run far way from MF and then everything would have been just FINE 👍

But THEN Katherine captured Elena and trapped her in the high school 😈 NO WAY the Salvatore brothers would have just sacrificed Elena in hellfire 🔥🙅‍♀️

NOOOOOO I don’t want Damon to die 😭 But I also don’t want Stefan to die! Why do their plans always include one of them dying? Sounds like Supernatural 😅

Honestly, it felt kinda cheap and too easy that Bonnie would just suddenly realise she had enough power to do ANYTHING, including breaking the spell that she wasn’t supposed to interfere with in ANY way, because she would be risking Elena’s life (and probably her own). Like, ok, she destroyed hell and that boosted her confidence enough that she decided she would just try it ? 🤷‍♀️ mmm... seems too easy... like why didn’t she do that earlier then ? Why did this entire season even happen then ? What was the point? What was the point of Bonnie realising she was worth living her life and that she didn’t have to feel guilty about Elena? Why would the show erase that wonderful character growth??? I- 🤷‍♀️

“We’ll see him again” ❤️ awwww I really love how they decide to develop Damon and Caroline’s relationship in the end... They both really acted like brother / sister in law. And that was genuinely cute. They both lost someone they loved and cared about deeply. I like that they know they can count on each other.

It was one of her biggest dreams, so idk 🤷‍♀️), then I guess SHE died before Damon did (-> what makes me think that is the scene where she holds his hands and says something along the lines of “I know peace exists and I know he will find it someday even though he doubts it” and then he disappears and she finds herself in the after life), and then she found peace and got reunited with her family in death 🧐 So bittersweet, I liked it! 💕 Even if I think it would have deserved to be a bit longer, a bit more explained, a bit more developed than just a “here’s what happened” 🤷‍♀️ It did feel rushed :/

 this part is soooo overdue holy shit lmao. I’m so sorry for keeping you guys waiting. If you see me in real life, you have permission to drop kick my ass. (unless you’re tyler and you’re gonna kiCK MY ASS ANYWAYS NO MATTER WHAT)

so! it has been a couple months now since you and demon!hyunjin are living together. as it turns out, this boy couLD ActuaLLY LEAVE the apartment complex.

 you didn’t know he could do that.

you thought demons were meant to stay in one area for eternity to cause spoops but that’s not the case lol.

the way you found out was sorta wild

it was a really cold weekend and snow was decorating the environment outside.

you were on a day off from work and wanted to do a few fun things since free time was rare for your occupation. You had plans on visiting the library, cafe, small shops, and lastly your favorite restaurant for dinner before it was too late in the evening and your powerful roommate would be resting.

oh and you wore a thick black sweater (ik, sounds pretty random but it’s an important detail in the fic!)

the walk to the library was peaceful and nice since it most people were still sleeping and weren’t being rowdy yet.

an old woman bid you a warm welcome softly from her desk. you returned the greeting and began walking through the aisles of books, searching for any that looked interesting.

your eyes were glued to the back cover of a small book, reading the description when someone tapped you gently from behind.

a man who looked to be in his middle 20’s and dressed in a striped long-sleeve shirt with jeans smiled at you and said, “that book’s a good one! i relate to the main character’s father.” he was mere inches from you, being too near than what most would consider appropriate distance for a stranger.

you were like, “(ㆆ_ㆆ) why tf is he standing so close to me,” inside your head. on the outside, you politely smiled and said, “ah! really? I haven’t read this one before.”

he chuckled and paused to admire your face. “Y’know, you’ve got great complexion. i’d love to take a photo of your face for my photography class,” he pointed at his camera bag which loosely hung over his shoulder.

“no thanks, I’m not particularly interested.” you replied, putting the book back in the right place and moved along, having to scoot around the guy since he was sort of blocking your path.

a few minutes went by and no book really caught your interest, but your bladder got the best of you. the librarian said the restroom was just to the left of the biography shelves so you made your way there.

ahhhhhh the restroom was nice and clean so you had no problem setting your phone on the sink as you washed your hands after you had done your business.

the walk to the cafe was short as you hummed the tune to your favorite song.

you took a seat by the window since it had a nice view of the outside. the little bell chimed above the door, signaling that another customer had entered the cafe.

you glanced at them merely- a dude in a green jacket. not deeming them as interesting, you went back to watching the snow fall from the outside.

there was some fog on the glass of the window and suddenly, letters faintly started appearing.

“Be Cautious,” it said.

what the hell :-$

first, you’re living with a demon boy and now you think you’re being surrounded by ghosts.

what good luck you haaaave.

you were obviously still very shook after a minute or so of staring at the words that hadn’t faded away at all.

the employee who softly tapped your shoulder startled you so much, your gasp scared him as well. he had almost spilled your drink on you.

“are you alright, ma’am?” he had asked you.

You: O.O yeah, yeah. just a bit jumpy ahahahaha.

he probably thought you were a bit crazy but nevertheless bid you a good day after giving you your drink.

The warm brew felt nice in such a cold weather.

The town square was as busy as usual: people were scurrying along with their families and loved ones, children were holding colorful animal-shaped balloons, some lovers were fighting while others were doing hefty PDA, loud music blared from all over the place, and overall, the shops surrounding the square were having good sales.

you stopped by a small boutique shop, observing a set of earrings on display when the familiar voice of the man from the library came from the entrance of the store.

you could feel your heart beat quicken and the next thing you did was hide behind a rack of clothes.

“excuse me, did you see a person with this hair color, around this height, with a black sweater on?” he had asked the cashier woman.

a sense of suspicion laced her voice as she replied, “why’re you looking for her?”

he laughed awkwardly, as if the question made him nervous. “she’s my sister and i’ve been looking for her for a while. i lost her in the crowd at the square. mind helping me out?”

you silently crossed your fingers in hopes that the lady wouldn’t say anything.

“oh! since that’s the case, i recall her looking at the jewelry section一” he didn’t even let her finish and just sauntered over in your direction.

“shit. shit. shit.” you were thinking.

the only other way to get out of the store aside from going in the same walk-way as him was to run alongside the aisle of mirrors which would reflect you and alert him that you were leaving.

“fuck it. it’s all i’ve got.” you thought and made a bee-line for the exit as fast as possible.

the square is usually patrolled by policemen but for some freakin’ reason, nONE could be seen when you needed them.

you put on the hood of your sweater and started making your way to the restaurant that you’d planned on having dinner at as briskly as possible.

“early dinner it is then,” you thought to yourself.

TBH you were sorta down bc today was supposed to be relaxing BUT some stupid creep had to ruin it. NOW all you wanted to do was go eat some food, walk home and enjoy the safety of your apartment with your demonic roommate.

the sun was setting and the townsquare was getting less and less busy with people going home or having dinner elsewhere.

a rough grip latched onto your shoulder, and you were forced to turn around, coming face to face with the library creep.

he was scowling and obviously irritated.

“you’re the sneakiest bitch i’ve ever met,” he said through gritted teeth.

you were doing all you could to create some distance between you two.

“fuck off! let me go!” you demanded, trying to shove him away as far as possible but the man didn’t even budge an inch.

“oh, really sweetheart? are you sure you don’t want your phone back first?” he held up the device in his other hand.

you could feel the color draining from your face.

the phone was set on the sink of the bathroom while you were washing your hand and you must have left it in there.

which meant one thing: he had followed you inside the restroom, waited till you left, & took the phone.

for a moment in time, you were completely alone with this poor excuse of a man.

lord knows what could have happened...

your eyes landed on his outfit.

a green jacket concealing a long sleeved striped shirt.

if your eyes could get any wider, they would have.

that green jacket was the same as the one you’d seen at the cafe. it was used to cover up his striped shirt that you would have noticed right away.

this entire time, you were in his sight.

his clutch on your sweater allowed him to haul you to a vacant and dark alleyway.

you kept screaming for help but the loud music of the square drowned out your pleas.

his camera bag was unzipped on the ground of the alley and not a single camera was inside.

in it, there was a pocket knife, rope, tape, and a bottle of pills.

(hold onto your wigs ladies for these next parts :O)

WITHIN A SECOND OR TWO! the man’s grip on you loosened because his body was flung against a wall with such a violent force.

you were confused and still scared as fuck.

he was lost and in pain.

both of you glanced at the entrance of the alley.

to him, there were only people passing by, and nobody appeared to notice the scene.

to you, the shadow of a tall boy stood at the entry point of the alley with glowing eyes. you’d know those crimson orbs anywhere.

(this is basically what you were seeing.)

a streetlight attached to one of the building walls turned on, illuminating the face of the demon.

his facial expression read anger, irritation, and murder.

he took one step forward:

hyunjin slowly pointed his index finger upward and the body of the creep raised with it in the same pace.

this absolutely scared the crap out of the guy because he couldn’t see who was doing this to him.

his body was probably a good 8 feet above the ground.

“w-what are you doing?” you asked your roommate.

“If this dick is into dangerous situations so badly, i’m gonna put him in one.” hyunjin barked out.

“h-hey! who the hell are you talking to?!” the man frantically asked you.

hyunjin used his other hand to make a choking motion.

the creep suddenly grabbed his throat, feeling it closing up with an invisible power.

hyunjin’s eyes were glowing redder and redder the longer he tortured the man and his scowl grew scarier.

the pocket knife from the camera bag also rose up and stopped a few inches from the man’s forehead.

things were escalating so quickly before anyone could really react.

you ran to hyunjin and clamped your hands onto his arm.

(it wasn’t extremely cold or burning hot as you’d imagined, it felt human-like.)

“stop! you’re gonna kill him!” you pleaded.

a devilish grin (ahahah get it?) was plastered on his face as he said, “that’s the plan.”

“s-sir, please have mercy, wherever you are!” the man coughed out.

whaaaat? he’d heard hyunjin’s voice?

“he…. heard一” you spluttered out before hyunjin interrupted you.

“demons can allow humans hear them if they have enough juice of power. i want this son of a bitch to know that this is his end.” he answered your following question.

“a d-de-mon? oh god, no!” the man shouted.

hyunjin smirked and mocked him, “sorry, but your god isn’t here right now. leave a message after the beep,”

you saw his hands move forward, and the knife did as well but you demanded for him to stop again.

“why should i, huh? he hurt you!” hyunjin was livid at this point.

“i have a little brother, sir! please don’t kill me!” the creep begged.

“well you should’ve thought about him before going after innocent women. remember lee mijung? choi eunbi? or kim seohyeon? those are the women whose lives you’ve fucked up. they’ve got families too. families who will never get the old mijung, eunbi, or seohyeon back after you were done with them.” hyunjin growled.

“how can you know those people?” you asked him.

“we can see in your past memories too. this guy is as sick as perverts get. you would have been victim #8 if i hadn’t done anything.” he answered.

“please! i’ll do anything!” he prayed.

“hyunjin, i know he deserves to be punished but not like this. please. there has to be another way. ” you said.

it took some time but the man finally ended up on the ground with his wrists and legs tied and tape around his mouth.

a swoosh sound came from somewhere and a young boy appeared before you. he had dimples on both cheeks, black hair, doe-like scarlet colored eyes, and wore braces.

hyunjin and the mystery boy did a small handshake and exchanged a few words.

“meet jeongin. he’s a soul collector.” hyunjin introduced the boy who held his hand out.

“a... a what?” you asked as you shook jeongin’s hand.

“a soul collector! i reap souls who do the dirtiest deed on earth and bring them to hell where they will be tormented in the worst ways possible,” jeongin answered and faced the creepy man, “you thought my friend was horrifying? wait till felix and jisung get their claws on you!” he said and winked.

the creep desperately tried to scoot away from the younger boy but failed. they both disappeared in a swoosh.

hyunjin’s eyes met yours and his showed a hint of concern.

“...are you alright? he didn’t hurt you too badly, right?” he asked.

you nodded in reassurance and also asked,  “how’d you find me in the first place?”

he answered, “i’d been with you since you’ve left the apartment. who do you think left you the, ‘be cautious,’ message at the coffee place? i knew that guy was no good ever since he spoke to you at the library but i didn’t wanna interfere too much until you absolutely needed me.”

you smacked his shoulder in embarassment and shock, completely forgetting the fact that this kid was a DEMON. “DOES THIS MEAN YOU WENT IN THE BATHROOM WITH ME TOO?!”

the tips of his ears turned pink and he looked like he wanted to knock you out. “WHAT THE FUCK一 NO! i left for a bit while you were in the bathroom which is why i didn’t know he followed you inside or else i would have killed him right there!” hyunjin exclaimed.

“...well… i haven’t had dinner yet. how about we get some takeout and eat at home?” you suggested.

he shrugged and said, “sounds good to me.”

Tyler and Ethan’s family goes through a lot of changes following their marriage. They lose people, take others in, and new journeys are ventured on every day, no matter how scary or exciting.

I don’t believe we had any alternative titles, and if we did, I do not recall them.

Favorite character and how they are introduced:

Tyler. He’s introduced at the beginning of the first chapter, seen before anyone else.

Favorite ship:

Rose/Victor! I haven’t gotten to writing their relationship and build-up, but from our plans and how we’ve designed Victor’s character to be, I’m excited.

MC’s biggest mistake:

Rose is probably more of an MC than the others, despite it being a Tyler/Ethan fanfic.

Her biggest mistake was probably refusing to give up on Carter. While he was her boyfriend, his actions toward her (and later, Jazzy) were unacceptable after she came out to him. She isn’t to blame at all, but it’s definitely the thing she regrets most.

Inspiration:

A webcomic on Webtoon called “Always Human.” The comic explores the events happening to the girls Sunati and Austen throughout the course of their relationship. Beautiful art, realistic problems (despite being set in a futuristic utopian society), representation, and well-written romance. I wanted to incorporate these factors into LaM to make it similar to a story I enjoyed very much that left an influence on me.

Underrated character appreciation:

Jazzy! Rose’s best friend. Even in the separate story where she’s one of the main set of characters, she’s still very overlooked. She’s very upbeat and friendly, with lots of knowledge on wlw pop culture and history!

Probably when she was adopted. It was the most exciting day of her life, and lead down a journey of self-discovery.

In close second is the day she became friends with Jazzy. She was there for her when she needed her most.

“What About Us” by P!nk, probably definitely because it’s the song I used for Tyler and Ethan’s first dance.

“Leave a Message” by gnash, the song I named the book after! This one doesn’t need much of an explanation.

“Party Tattoos” by dodie. I plan to use this song in the closing chapter, sung by Rose.

Enjoy torturing the characters?

Not really, but I do it anyway. Good for character development, which there’s a lot of. But I don’t enjoy it, no. I love the characters in this book like my cat and dogs: with all my heart.

MC’s biggest fear:

Being unaccepted. This fear makes itself evident after what happens with Carter. Her mother’s reaction enforces this more.

Goals:

To finish LaM by the end of sophomore year, editing and all.

To be proud of the finished product.

To use this book as a reminder that I can do it. I can write.

Characters’ secret talents:

Ethan, despite not playing for many, many years, still excels at playing the ukulele. This becomes not so much of a secret later on in the book.

Rose is surprisingly good at tic-tac-toe. Not necessarily a talent, but definitely something she’d want you to note.

Turned into a media? Cast?

Seeing as LaM is a piece of fanwork, I don’t believe I would turn it into a media.

If it was to be a media, however, along with Tyler Scheid and Ethan Nestor to play Tyler and Ethan, as well as Mark Fischbach, Amy Nelson, and Kathryn Knutsen to play their friends, a few choices I would make would be to cast Janet Mock as adult Rose Scheid and Elliot Fletcher as adult Adrian Garcia.

MC’s basic morals and general beliefs:

Rose’s number one moral is to never make someone feel shut out. Having been rejected (as well as accepted) many times in her life, she knows that she never wants anyone to feel like that, and makes an effort to be the reason.

How MC found out the tooth fairy doesn’t exist:

She never really believed in it, to begin with.

Best name:

Jasmine “Jazzy” Hinojosa-Mills.

Least favorite OC:

Carter. Abusive transphobic asshat that left Rose with lots of insecurities and trauma for years to come.

Snippet:

Mark really had gone all out with making the altar just like Tyler had wanted it to look. The arch was made out of ebony wood that had been painted white with golden accents. Flowery vines were twirled all around the wood, the flowers colors of black, grey, purple, and blue. The chairs surrounding the aisle were all made of the same wood as the arch, the cushions blue and grey. Both Ethan and Tyler’s family alike filled those chairs, chattering away with one another. Tyler quickly scanned the side filled with Ethan’s relatives, and wasn’t surprised to see Ethan’s aunt and uncle were not present. He hoped to god that Ethan wouldn’t notice. The guests quieted down and turned their heads to look at Tyler, and he felt put on the spot. Most of the guests smiled at him, others clapped quietly. He could see that two people in particular were both smiling and clapping. Seeing Jack and Kathryn so supportive of him was majorly comforting to Tyler. He exhaled, and glanced at Mark behind him. Mark was already smiling, and nudged his head towards the arch. Tyler walked down the aisle and received praise from just about everyone sat in chairs. He high-fived Jack on his way to his place next to the officiant. The lady smiled at him, and he returned the gesture. She opened her book as Mark took his place next to Tyler, gazing over his friend’s tux and wiping off some dust quickly. Mark gave Tyler a thumbs-up, and Tyler couldn’t stop smiling. Now that he was actually out in front of the guests and standing where he was meant to be, his nerves relaxed. In fact, every thought he’d ever had in doubt of this marriage before that moment vanished, as soon as Ethan walked out.

Standalone or part of a series?

Standalone. Although I suppose you could call it a spinoff of one of our other works, the reader does not need to read that series to understand this story.

Biggest character development:

Definitely Rose. Seeing as the story follows the changes through most of her life, there’s a big difference in her character comparing the first chapter she is introduced to the closing chapter, where she takes center stage.

People who know of the WIP:

My co-writer, Caroline. Though I’ve done most of the writing, Caroline and I brought the idea for this story to life together, creating a unique cast of characters such as Jazzy, Rose, Adrian, Marcus, their families, Victor, Rose’s mother Aaliyah, and Ethan’s uncle Zane. Without her, the story would not have been written in the first place.

The lovely readers on AO3. I’ve uploaded chapters of the WIP onto there, updating at least once a month. It feels good to be putting some of my work out there for other people instead of just keeping such a joy all to myself. Of course, this is just a personal opinion.

Characters’ annoying habits:

Jazzy’s very short-tempered. Make one wrong move, anyone could get shouted at, lectured, maybe even a blow to the face.

Marcus feels a lot of self-pity and spite. He wishes his parents wouldn’t baby him so much just because he has cancer. This, later on, leads to him participating in multiple illegal activities to antagonize them.

Adrian grows to be more selfish as he gets older, even going out of his way to go into the military and disappear from Rose’s life out of the blue one day without telling her. He later regrets this.

Rose has plenty of autophobia to go around. After her mother gave her up to the orphanage at a young age and Carter’s abuse towards her in her late middle school years, followed by Adrian’s sudden leave after high school, she always fears being alone or abandoned by the people she cares about.

Tyler and Ethan both never seem to recover from the grief of their first child’s loss. This makes them closed off to people who ask about the incident, and could sometimes bring them back to their depressive state.

Very last three lines (with context):

“Unsure was she on how to approach this. She’d felt it since that first night she met him, but it’d grown more and more out of hand since. They’d also became closer as friends, even now sometimes hanging out without the needed assistance of Marcus and Jazzy by their sides to ease the tension.”

Context: Rose had just come to the conclusion she had a crush on Adrian.

Characters: Based off IRL people(through looks, personality, or habits)?

Tyler, Ethan, Amy, Kathryn, Mark, Jack, Chica, Henry, and all of the parents in the story are based off IRL influencers. The characters have only been switched and changed a bit, as well as the relationships, of course, to fit the story.

Impossible friendship:

Carter and Jazzy. Don’t really need to explain it if you’ve read the work. They hate each other’s guts more than anyone, and they could never kiss and make up. As characters, they aren’t the types to do that at all, especially with each other.

Am I proud?

Yes. Leave a Message has been my most dedicated piece of work so far, and I’d say I’m well on my way to reaching my personally-set deadline next year if I keep it at the rate I’m going. Not to mention the characters and plotlines are exciting and realistic, in my own opinion. There’s still a lot left to be written, but I’ve got everything planned out. I don’t plan on stopping until I’m finished with it.

Long time no replies. Yeah. Last week, I couldn’t do them on Sunday. I couldn’t do them on Monday either because I was in Prague all day and got back home at midnight. I thought I’d do them on Tuesday but then I didn’t feel like it, and then there was school stuff and other stuff and yeah here we are, it’s another Sunday. I don’t think anyone cares that much though :D

I’ve been working on Rose Legacy all weekend. It’s been so much fun. Right now, I’m halfway through the first part of it, the part that’s focused on quadruplets. I had a phase a few days ago, I was thinking about switching to ts3 again and I felt like I didn’t actually want to do it for some reason. Probably because I’ve been posting ts4 for months now and switching games after such a long time has always been kinda weird. It was always the other way around though - I posted more ts3 and less ts4. Eh, you don’t care :D Now I’m excited for posting that legacy again. I still think of them as of my “mascots” to be honest, they’ve been here since before I had a simblr. Anyway, January 2019. Roses are back. It’s gonna be great. I hope.

Another thing no one cares about, it snowed for the first time today and it hasn’t melted yet. I’m so happy. I'm like a child when it comes to this, really.

Is it a holiday? When there are holidays in game, there was a bug where, if you had a loading screen for any reason (even CAS) sims would come home from work and school.

Nope, it was a regular day. Still a better bug than the current one :/ I thought I’d start playing gen 3 but I don’t want my sims to age up when I enter CAS. I know there’s a fix for it now, I’ll probably look into it tomorrow.

Oh yes. I think I prefer the dying animation in ts3, where they just sort of turn into ghost. The ts4 animation might be more realistic, but the ts3 one is just...beautiful, in a way. Sad but beautiful.

This, for me, was also very bittersweet. Because it’s awesome that he finally realized he has to be there for her, and it’s great that he finally cares, yay character development...but December had to die for him to realize. That sucks.

I have to say something else here...at this point, you’d think I would make them interact more. I didn’t really. I don’t know why, but I didn’t. So really, who’s the bad person here? I’d just like to say that from here on, they were closer, they spent more time together, even if I somehow didn’t show it. Past me, you’re stupid, this was such a big part and you ruined it.

Now that I think about it, I’ve never actually played with a vampire that has the Vegetarian trait. Oooh. I should. Or maybe I could replace one of Caleb’s traits and see what it does. Meta Monday

I know it’s a little embarrassing now, but who among us hasn’t made their own Mary Sue? (Or, a Possession Sue at the very least.) I’ve certainly made my share of tragically misunderstood X-Men, Jedi, and Sailor Senshi. And it was fun, at least until I learned to be ashamed and stopped. But looking back, I have to wonder whether Mary Sue actually deserves all the hate she gets; especially now when it’s become a lazy epithet to throw at any character we dislike. 

We laugh about parody Sues (“Gee, golly, gosh, gloriosky!”), and god-I-hope-that’s-a-parody Sues (“Hi my name is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way,”),  and then use the term to dismiss a whole library's worth of female characters from canon and fanon alike. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen characters like Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley, Rey, Rose Tyler, Princess Shuri, and even Wonder Woman called Mary Sues. 

But what about Harry Potter? What about Luke Skywalker, The Doctor, Tony Stark, or Superman? 

Don’t take that as hate; my all-time favorite is on that list! And that’s exactly the point. Mary Sue is such a nebulous term that it can apply to a hell of a lot of our favorite characters. As Jill Bearup put it in her awesome video, “One person’s Mary Sue is another person’s Batman.” 

Shouldn’t that same laisez fangirl attitude apply to our own personal Mary Sues, too? If your first instinct is to roll your eyes, I hope you’ll read the following meta recs, because you might come away with a different perspective. Each piece examines the trope with empathy. They delve into the history of the term, the inherent misogyny that often comes with accusations of Mary Sue, as well as the reasons young girls (typically) write these characters in the first place.

Mary Sues are Valid by @andauril​, There was a time where I was overly concerned with writing Mary Sues but today I just don’t give a damn anymore. Mary Sue has become a term that is used to degrade female authors, female characters and female readers. But these characters have a right to exist and a function to fulfill. Doctor Who: Halloween Apocalypse.

New Doctor Who episode...anyone else feeling like it was a bit packed? Like, they totally had to just go and throw in every single baddie/character for this season, all in one hit, didn't they? Also, the Master is going to throw a total fit over this new enemy. Someone clearly failed to warn him/her that the Doc already, apparently, has a master enemy. My judgments in regards to this season remain dubious, at best.

I never really thought they were going to do a fifth season of Sherlock anyway, since Benedict Cumberbatch is so busy with the Marvel movies. But yeah, I can’t imagine them doing a fifth season without her. England is falling💔

A very sad day, indeed. I hope her family can take comfort in the knowledge that they're not alone in remembering her.

With the passing of Una Stubbs, I don’t think we get a fifth season of Sherlock. I can’t imagine they would recast the actress or even continue without her, especially as its clear Sherlock cared about Mrs. Hudson and I cannot imagine his reaction to her dying, especially if they kill off her character in between seasons.

Oh my God, I can't believe she's actually gone, I hadn't check the news, as I usually do when I first wake up, so this was how I found out about it. That's so very sad, she was such a talented actress and I think her role as Mrs Hudson must be the best interpretation of the character I've ever seen. If we do get another season of Sherlock (Has it been confirmed?) then it will not be the same without her.

Who is your favorite OC?my first muse on tumblr was an oc and i roleplayed her for years so! iris hunt, who was originally a doctor who oc, who lost her brother at canary wharf (aka when the doctor lost rose) because they were there randomly (they lived on the streets of london). later she was recruited to train to assassinate the doctor under the pretense that it was his fault her brother and all those people died. that later became a side verse but she was kinda created based on that at first!

Name one thing you don’t like about your character.castiel is very ready to betray others if he thinks that gets him to the desired goal. like, sure, his goals are intentionally good, but he sacrifices loyalty easily. i kind of. believe that this is mostly because he doesn’t feel worthy of anyone’s love or friendship anyway, so he sees no great loss in losing it.

If you have multiple characters/OCs, who is your personal favorite?haven’t been a long run yet but cas is definitely my favourite character out of any muse i’ve ever roleplayed.

What made you start RPing your muse?hngggh. i don’t know what drew me to him, but when i got back to watching supernatural late last year/early this year, he just somehow talked to me. and he wouldn’t stay quiet, just persistently sat in a corner in my brain, and so i decided to actually rp him! in all honesty, it’s therapeutic at best. because cas and the mun share a lot of negative traits so to explore some of them in fiction? is a good.

Queen of the Crows is a reference to Clea who takes over the Antivan Crows with Zevran and they do some reforming of the guild. She's one of the leaders so she's the queen of the Antivan Crows, hence queen of the Crows. Is that anything like me? Well I mean she's my OC and I'm alot like her so I would hope to be that badass if I was in Thedas.

Synopsis: Rose is given an aphrodisiac drug at a club, and only the Doctor can help her. In the process, they discover what’s been right there all along.

My opinion

Introduction:

I've known since the first chapter that I would rec this fic. It has been completed this week so this Sunday is all about Nine/Rose again. Most of you know the love chiaroscuroverse and fleurdeneuf have for Nine and for the Nine/Rose ship, so you must also know this fic is a masterpiece.

About the story:

The prompts given to us by the different teams on Tumblr are the opportunity to write some interesting things we maybe wouldn't have thought of on our own. This starts a bit like Hypnagogic Panic, but it's far from being the same. We have Rose and Jack in a club, Rose being friendly and running into troubles with some alien trying to influence her, to make her develop a sexual attraction for him, but it appears to be inefficient. At least, for the insisting Londred.

Everything gets complicated when they get back to the TARDIS. Rose hasn't been affected by whatever Londred did to her because she wasn't interested in him at all. But the little trick is acting... with a little delay. On the real person Rose is interested in. And if she clearly knows about her feelings for her dear Doctor, she also knows that it might not be mutual. So, she chooses the best way out she can find: she runs away from the Doctor and keeps him away from her.

But the situation is unbearable for the poor Rose who can't deal with the intense and painful arousal she is experiencing, the desperate craving of touching the Doctor and make love to him. The tension quickly climbs through the words of the two authors and we feel as desperate as Rose who can't control herself and we can't wait for the Doctor to come and fix the situation. After he pays a friendly visit to Londred. Rose is vulnerable and can't find any relief, the Doctor feels guilty for not being there to protect his precious human.

If Rose is vulnerable, we get to see a complete powerless, naked, exposed Doctor. And it's beautiful. The usually tough guy hiding behind his shell is letting down all his walls and defences and shows himself the way he really is underneath all of it. The two authors totally reach the peak of their talent to magnificently offer us a sight of the Doctor we have never seen. It's outstanding, and we sink into his raw soul with no way back. And good thing: we don't want our sinking to end. But all good things have a end unfortunately.

In conclusion:

If Looking Glass reveals the sexual hunger Rose is experiencing for the Doctor, if the smut fills most of the chapters, this is not the most important in this fiction. Besides the sexual tension and obvious sex scenes, this is the way the characters strip to show what they really feel and how they truly are. They are naked, and not only physically. It's well-written, it's wonderful, and we can only want more. The raw souls of the Doctor and Rose create a beautiful mix we can never get tired of. @chiaroscuroverse & @fleurdeneuf: Thank you for this amazing masterpiece.

In your dancing days?” It came out a little more bitter sounding than she meant. “Not that I recall right off, but to tell the truth, there’s quite a few days of my life that have vanished, especially right before the war. By me or someone else.” He gave a short chuckle. “Sometimes have to protect me from my own self--one hazard of being a time traveler.” She reminded herself she should really tell him to go. The brick wall of her resolve crumbled with every word he spoke, and she could hardly concentrate on what he was saying, with the timbre of his voice rolling up and down her spine. The devil on her shoulder spoke again, told her she was being ridiculous. He could never send her home no matter what happened. Just ask him. Say: help me, Doctor. He was probably touch-starved anyway, the way he took her hand at every opportunity, and the way she’d feel him slightly shiver when she brushed against him while he sat on her bed next to her, on top of the covers, telling her about Ice Warriors or some other civilization much farther from home. It could never be the same for him as for her, but she could be something more to him. Maybe he’d--

Wandered off into an alien invasion, typical.” “Oi,” she objected, but lightly, heartbeat picking up speed. “What I said about my memories always bein’ there for the taking, well, if I want to I can brighten and stay in that moment I took your hand and told you to run, the moment you turned and met my eyes. When I got so shaken I decided to make a small change to ensure I’d get out of that basement, though it meant I’d have to work harder to find the Nestene base. And if it meant I might have to find you again, for the sake of the Earth, of course, guess I would.” “Y-you wanted to find me again?” She was annoyed at her voice going wobbly. “Kept thinking I’d shake it off--shake you off--and be ready to move on again. But a funny thing happened along the way. It started to be fun again.” “Fun?” “Savin’ the world. Suddenly, there’s you--pulling me inside your flat, wrestlin’ an arm with me, and swinging on a chain to save me. An’ it was fun. But I want you to stay over there. And you’re gonna have to open it yourself.” “Okay. Here goes.” The door slowly swung inward. He’d never been so beautiful. The Doctor was sat on his coat, one cheek slightly pink like he’d been resting it on the door. His maroon jumper wasn’t the same one he was wearing before, because every detail of his appearance when she stepped through the TARDIS doors was like an afterimage on the back of her eyelids. He pushed the door all the way to the wall and met her eyes as he crawled over the threshold, face as open as she’d ever seen it, but it fell as he noticed her arm.

All odd #s for the Valentine Fandom Questions

Your favourite non-canon ship?: Um. Out of all of them, ‘s probably Ninth Doctor/Rose Tyler/Jack Harkness, because... because.

What is the rarest rare pair (that you ship)?: I don’t have numbers, but I think it might be F!Shep/Hackett. That or Boss/Johnny/Aisha.

What is your most fluffy + happy ship?: My Ren Shepard/Kaidan. They get their happy ending and are just good people overall. Excluding OC/canon character ships, then it’s probably Garrus/Tali, because they’re so cute it hurts, istg.

A non-canon ship that should be canon?: Yeah, I’m not wading into this one because sometimes ships are Not Canon and that’s okay and it’s never been my end goal. (I kind of stood on the edges of ship wars like “???? who cares??? ship it anyway?”)

What ship represents the kind of relationship you’d love to have?: all of them? lol. Um, again, veering into OC/canon character territory, but my Adaar and Josephine have like, my ideal relationship. They’ve got great communication, they’re adorable, and they shore each other up when needed.

What is a character you can only imagine in one particular ship? Uh...I guess, just because of the way the games handle it, I really can’t see Liara/anyone else other than Shepard, because yeah. Yeah.

Name a ship that deserved more content. Um. //shrug. Possibly Shepard/Cortez, because seriously, shuttle guy is a top-notch dude.

What is the first ship you had? Baby’s v. first ship might have been Morticia/Gomez, but I didn’t even know what shipping was at the time. Actual involvement in an fandom, I think the earliest one was Elliot Stabler/Olivia Benson (ooof, someone pls go back and shake 16-y/o me).

Is there a type of ship you always go for? All kinds. Tol and smol. Two messed up people supporting each other in the best ways they can. Grumpy + little ball of sunshine or two grumps, or ships that kick ass together.

Is there a ship the fandom has ruined for you? I’m.... ehnnn on the bulk of fandom Shakarian, outside of a few friends/trusted people. I’m also seriously ehnnnnnnnnnn on fandom Solas/Lavellan outside of the odd one or two people.

Favourite thing you’ve ever created for a ship? Um. hmm. Overall, probably this, for Tortall ‘verse Alanna/George.

Have you ever started shipping a ship because of the fans? Yuuuuuup, sometimes. I don’t always see things on first exposure, so if I come across meta or something, then it might click in my head.

Is there a ship you wish you didn’t know existed?  Cole/anyone just feels squidgy af to me, and I’m not sure I trust a lot of folks with that. Also, Jack/Miranda = nope? Just I’d be quite happy to not see it.

Name a ship that deserved better in the end: Non-human Warden/Alistair-who-became-King, ooooof. That canon outcome sucks.

What is the ship you ignore 98% of canon for? Joker/EDI. It could have been handled like 1000000% better, but they did it wrong, and *grinds teeth*.
