( ‘ What would you do ‘ ) With a hefty sigh, Sora dropped his head in his hands, trying to best to organize the cluttered mess of thoughts, before letting the quiet of Roxas’ presence sit with him.      ❝ Nervous. ❞ He admitted, folding his hands in his lap while his eyes closed to see the other half watching him with a CRITICAL EYE ; a small weight of disappointment in the keybearer that he couldn’t have maintained some of the confidence lended to him. ❝ I feel like I’m being pulled in different directions...and I just wanna make sure I’m doing everything right. ❞ I don’t want to fail again. To train the Lights, to find new vessels, to stop the Darkness. Save his friends. Save you.     ❝ I want to make sure that we get you back. Something that just occurred to me: how ironic is it that Data Sora, a literal copy of Sora with his name, appearance, and a good deal of his personality, isn't part of the Apheartment?

hmmmm you have a point! The way I’ve always seen it tho is that Data Sora basically exists outside real Sora’s life despite him being a literal copy. Data Sora doesn’t really have much of a connection to the real Sora’s heart, if that makes sense, which is why I don’t think of him as being part of the apheartment. This could change later if Sora is made aware of Data Sora or if something happens that would bring Data Sora back but at this point, Data Sora is not tied to the real Sora’s heart

So like, I'm super confused about kh3 (let's face it, when will I ever truly understand a kh game) but like, they say Sora has 3 other hearts in his body. Ok my thoughts go straight to Ven, Roxas and Xion. Ven goes back to his body, by some logical stretch Roxas makes it back to his, but wait Xion is already in a replica when we see her with the organization. So was she the 3rd heart, or is there someone else in the apheartment? Oh boy do I have theories stirring in my brain

Ok, sorry for the late reply. I took my time to think about it, but now i can admit that … i am as much confused as you xD

My problem is that I don’t understand if this is a plot hole or a plot hole they intend to fill in the next KH game (probably the second option, right? Fhjsjsjahak)

I thought that three kids were sleeping inside Sora’s heart at the beginning of KH3, aka Ventus, Roxas and Xion. Ventus and Roxas have been explained, so they’re not an issue anymore.

Same as you, when they talked about the hearts beating inside Sora’s, i thought that the third one was Xion. Especially because they said something like “one heart is Roxas. The second has been with Sora for nearly as long.” IT MUST BEEN XION. Unless it’s somebody we still haven’t heard of. But in that case … where did Xion go when she “died” back in the 358/2 days?

And if Xion was the third heart sleeping inside Sora… Well this is a even wilder trip. Because in that case i have NO IDEA how she ended up in the New Organization XIII if she was inside Sora’s heart since the end of 358/2 days. They could have made a replica body for her, ok…. but her heart? Where did they take it from?

Unless i have missed something in the narrative, I think that this is a plot hole intentionally left open for the next game, exactly like Isa&Lea’s mysterious friend, the black box, Yozora, etc.

After all the kids who have slept inside Sora’s heart, one more makes no difference, so yeah xD

Hey yo wassup ya cool dude? I was wondering if ya got any headcanons for the everyone in Aora's heart hotel? Literally any headcanons because all that you make are just absolute gold!

heyo friend!  thanks so much for your ask.  I definitely have some headcanons for the Apheartment (as my wonderful friend @thetwilightroadtonightfall​ has dubbed it). (also i’m adding Vanitas into the mix because i love him)

Xion and Ven get along really well.  they compare notes of the best dogs they’ve ever petted.  He shows her how to make a wayfinder

Vanitas: “When I first met you, I did not like you.” Ven: “I’m aware of that.”  Vanitas: “But then you and I had some time together.” Ven: “Uh-huh.” Vanitas: “It did not get better.”

Roxas spends a full five hours in denial of Ventus’ existence

it’s partly surprise, and partly a lingering sense of defensiveness (I’m my own person!  Not Sora!  Not you!  but i look like you…), but mostly just pure shock (think of the “where did that other dog come from//who is he” meme)

everyone gets together for at least one nap a day, and almost always end up cuddling

Xion keeps trying to get Vanitas to open up, and Vanitas keeps getting angry that this girl keeps sitting by him for long periods.  He blushes furiously whenever she asks him a question but hides it with angry comments

Roxas: “You’re giving me a sticker.”  Ven:  "Not just any sticker.  That is a sticker of a kitten saying ‘Me-wow’“  Roxas: “I’m not a preschooler.”  Ven: “Fine, I’ll take it back.”  Roxas: “I earned this.  Back off.”

the prevailing pasttime that they all LOVE is sitting around judging Sora’s actions and yelling at him (though he can’t hear) to STOP BEING AN IDIOT.  idk if they can always see what he’s doing or not, that’s too much meta for me to figure out in a headcanon post, but at least some of the time they get to watch him be the dorkiest idiot in the universe

Vanitas is very mean in his comments and sometimes when he steps over the line, the others sit on him to shut him up

Ven is usually pretty encouraging, but he also knows Sora really well and he knows Sora isn’t going to stop being an idiot anytime soon so he’s mostly resigned

Roxas “boo"s every time Riku shows up (and Xion punches him)

Xion shouts one-liners (sometimes, Sora even says them)

Roxas tries for a long time to convince Ven that he’s broody and angsty, but Ven doesn’t believe it for a second because a) Xion has already told him what a dork he is and b) Roxas is just too oblivious and confused too easily that he can’t maintain the angsty teen look™ for more than a few minutes

That being said, Roxas has such a RBF

I feel like they all went through their phases of trying to break out, except Ventus.  Xion during DDD, and Roxas ofc during KHII.  Ventus has long since embraced the fact that the only way out is for Sora to release them–but he honestly doesn’t know if Rox and Xion will be able to be their own persons (he barely even understands what a Nobody /is/) so he doesn’t talk about it to them, just tries to cheer them up

Ventus’ idea of intimidation:

Ven: "I sure showed those guys, huh?”

Ven:  "Did you see how uncomfortable they got when I started crying?“

Vanitas: "I’m not rude… I just wasn’t taught to politely pretend to be nice to people I can’t stand”

Ven: “No, you are definitely just rude.”

Xion: “Wait, so you can’t stand literally everyone?”

Roxas: “Ikr, manners are so annoying”

i feel like the yugioh fandom talks a lot about poor kisara having to deal with being triplicated in a lot of fights bc kaiba is just Like That but the kingdom hearts fandom doesn’t appreciate the amount of work the kingdom key does?? 

like first it chooses a kid that falls to darkness, so it goes to another kid instead. but then the first kid kinda seems stronger than before so it goes to him, only to have the second prove his worth and go back to the second kid. 

and then the second kid splits in two and the kingdom key is like... well okay i’ll be in two places at once then. and then someone makes a COPY of the kid’s body and the kingdom key goes “sure, guess I’ll let this one wield me too!” and then kh3 comes around with the sora apheartment evacuation and suddenly the kingdom key is in three places at once because either oathkeeper or oblivion is just the kingdom key with a keychain*

someone give the kingdom key and bewd a break pls. they’re pulling triple shifts.

meanwhile, the kingdom key d has been... fused? to starseeker? i guess?? can you even do that when it’s supposed to be a Special key of the Dark™

*unless it’s not but for the sake of humor let’s just say it is for now.

well mmmlets see i have one where ven n sora work at pizza hut together and their little siblings have playdates All the Time and ven stresses out for a solid week about graduating high school and leaving vani with his terrible dad and they go to the coast and eat salt & straw ice cream... that one is aggressively i grew up in the pnw. the goats one literally came from me in the car spacing out and going "i think............. a vest with sheep fluff.............. would be cute on him :)". The -- OH the fantasy one actually has a fic attached which isnt my favourite of the ones ive written but I still think its fun because i was going for a fairytale style. its called the knights curse dont look at it. everyone is cursed to be a strange monster until the whole castle's curse is lifted so the whole heart hotel stalks around a big empty castle protecting sora from anyone who tries to enter. Adhandr from sprawl is literally just the meme next to her, when she piloted unity she stayed in there for like TWO HUNDRED years before It realized It was attached to a body and not a person. The only way you'd survive becoming a surrogate nervous system and partner to a big robot god is through a complicated and long process of sheathing your nerves in copies of themselves and rewiring some of your own internal systems so you dont have to: sleep and eat constantly, then connecting everything to a bunch of servers and wires, which does have the tendency to override the fact that you are aging. And then It tends to just adopt you as Its, so It doesn't often realize when youre not there anymore. It doesnt have to your nerves still work

kipper is obsessed with weird body horror sorry you all have to find out this way -- ANYWAYS umm what else... I don't know as soon as I started talking about Adhandr all my other thoughts got banished. There is a huge festival for the transfer of candidates! the pilots that "fly" the big bot, the culture's not the most festive or outgoing, but there's a HUUUGE party whenever that happens. the apheartment gets to go to one!
