I haven't posted here in a bit, but I've been incorporating age regression a lot into my practice as of late, especially since I may be a Permaregressor. My deities have adjusted to this by acting sweeter to me (not that they weren't sweet already but still) and always treat me like I'm small, which I appreciate. It's nice being treated like I'm small by them.

Lord Hermes (along with Lord Apollo, Lord Ares, Lady Aphrodite, and more) has been the one usually helping out though—like talking to me, comforting me, doing child-like things with me, etc. It's nice—I just kinda can't help but wonder why that is. Like I kinda wonder if that has anything to do with his domains or something.

PJO / HoO Agere

These are just how I think the PJO / HoO group would fall under the Age Regression categories.

Annabeth is a caregiver.

Annabeth stumbled across Percy's regression when they were fourteen, which led to some panic attacks, a lot of invasive questions, and a sort of hesitant acceptance that Annabeth was going to be a caregiver. She took to caregiving really easily, and she's the one everyone goes to when they don't understand something, or they are panicking just as much as the little. She likes to read to them.

Piper is a caregiver.

Piper was a bit uncomfortable with the idea of age regressing, for quite a while. She thought it was a little weird, until she'd walked in on Jason taking care of Leo and just watched. She had been avoiding the known littles, who at the time were just Percy and occasionally Nico, and ended up realizing that it was something sweet. She went to Annabeth to learn everything she could, feeling a bit of guilt about how she'd reacted to learning about this part of her friends. (The littles love listening to her sing and they listen to her without her ever using charmspeak, not that she ever would on the littles while regressed)

Frank is a caregiver.

Frank had been hugely confused at first, but ended up falling right into the swing of things, and Hazel being a regressor had definitely helped with that. He also help take care of Percy when Annabeth is unavailable, and Leo whenever Jason or Piper are busy. The littles love building forts with Frank and he helps them with arts and crafts or playing games with them to wear out excess energy. He is the sweetest caregiver out of the four primary ones.

Will is a caregiver.

Will has known about age regression since he'd first gotten to camp, one of his half siblings having been a caregiver; though Will never did learn who their little was. He'd learned a lot when he was younger, and had once thought that taking care of someone couldn't, or wouldn't, be something for him… Until Annabeth came to him not so discreetly looking for information on age regression (which he never told her he knew about though he made sure she got all her information). He never fully interacted with Little Percy until after both wars, however. Sometimes he wishes he reached out sooner. Will is also the only child of Apollo allowed to do check-ups or any appointments for the littles, unless he's sick.

Jason is a flip.

Jason had first thought that he was just a caregiver, often helping out with Percy's regression (much to the Son of Poseidon's embarrassment, at first), before switching to primarily taking care of Leo when he'd found the Son of Hephaestus regressed on his own. He took a little while to get into the 'swing of things' but he had Annabeth, and surprisingly Will, to help guide him. He took to it easier than Nico, in his opinion. His first regression had taken him (majorly) off guard, and had been emabrressed to learn that Frank and Annabeth had to take care of him, though he was also really touched anyone would want to. Only felt more sure after Piper got into the idea of being a caregiver and wanting to take care of him and Leo. When he regresses, he typically regressed to 2-5 years old.

Nico is a flip.

Nico originally thought that he was a regressor. Until he'd realized that when he regressed, he felt things much much differently than Percy, Leo, or Hazel did. When he was stressed, he didn't get the fuzzy feeling in the back of his head, but he does when he's particularly upset or happy. It took some time for Nico to realize that you could be both a caregiver and a regressor. He found that he loved helping Hazel, or even Percy or Leo, when they were regressed, and it helped relieve stress the same way that regressing did. And he found that he liked curling up in Will's arms while regressed. When regressing, he typically regressed to 3-6 years old.

Hazel is a regressor.

Hazel started regressing simply because she'd asked Percy a question and he'd answered her honestly. She is the quietest amongst the littles in general but a total mischief maker. She loves baking with Frank or spending time with Little Leo, or Little Percy. She wears a beaded bracelet about her regression proudly, which the group is so proud of her for, as the time that she comes from would make the idea of age regression worse than homosexuality, and she's come so far from when she'd died and came back. She loves laying with Nico while he draws (when she's regressed), usually playing or drawing too. When she's regressed, she's about 4-7 years old.

Leo is a regressor.

Leo was terrified when he first regressed for the first time. He'd known about what it was, having seen Percy regress a few times, but he had never thought that it would be something that he'd do. It was a gradual fall into the regression, and he found that he felt better when he woke up. He'd hid his regression, since around the same time, Hazel had started regressing. He felt terrible when Jason had stumbled upon his regressing and 'snitched' to Percy, who got all teary eyed and cuddly. Little Leo absolutely adores Percy, little or not, and the feeling is very mutual between the two of them. Annabeth often jokes about Leo stealing her boyfriend, which Percy always replied that he's pulling Leo into their relationship, no stealing happening (this of course sets of Hazel and Frank, and Jason and Piper, to which Percy always laughs about). When Leo regresses, he regresses to about 3-5 years old.

Percy is a regressor.

Percy often jokes that he was the practice regressor for just about all the caregiver's, and one of the flips. He loves that he was able to help his friend group with his coping skill, especially since Annabeth had gotten experience working around trauma and triggers and was able to teach the others before they'd stumbled upon the landmines for both Percy and their own littles. He's an 'easy' little, but Annabeth finds that more unnerving them when he's upset and throwing a tantrum. He never questions anything, though there are days where it's like the pranks and running around never ends (she loves those days the most). When he regresses, he typically regressed to 2-5 years old.

The myth of Apollo (2)

This is a loose translation of Alain Moreau's article "The Antique Apollo: Shadow and Light".

II/ The ambiguous god

The mystery that shrouds Apollo’s origins, this enigma that disconcerts the scholars, had the advantage to allow the artists a freedom of imagination: since the shape of the primitive character of the god is drowned and blurred, he can be depicted as either a god of light, or a god of shadow and death; However, even within the most clear-cut portraits, his complexity remains. Apollo is never a god entirely just and good ; but he is never fully aligned with malevolent powers.

According to the beginning of the Iliad, Homer chose to depict the dreaded aspect of the go. Apollo, angered against Agamemnon’s army, hits them with a terrible disaster, (nousos, loimos), the plague: “A terrible sound came out of the silver bow. He first attacked the horses, like fast dogs. Then, it is men that are hit by his sharp arrow, and the funeral pyres burn hundreds ceaselessly.” Fervent enemy of the Greeks, it is Apollo that throws against the Achaean wall all the rivers of the Mount Ida ; it is also him that hits Patroclus in the back and offers him unarmed to the spear of Hector. And yet, this terrible god is also the one that brings a painless death, and then the cruel arrows become the “soft arrows”. He is hostile to the Achaeans, but he brings a tireless protection to the Trojans. Aeneas, Glaucos, Hector are all helped by him. He constantly assists them, recomforts them, stimulates them, saves them. If his shot brings death, it can also repel evil. Apollo is “the one that preserves” (hekaergos). Throughout the centuries, many epiclesis will attest this trait: alexikakos, apotropaios, epikourios…

In a reverse way, the “Homeric Hymn”, which is all about the glory of this conquering god who is eternally young and beautiful, oes not hide his “boundless pride”, and he is shown easily tricked. Young Apollo does not have the same temperance and moderation that will become the fundamentals of the Delphi wisdom, engraved on his very temple (“Know thyself”, “Never too much”) ; and young Apollo also lacks the omniscience of his father Zeus.

But with Pindar, at the beginning of the Classical age (5th century), he gains omniscience: in the “Pythics” he is described as “knowing the fatal term of all things and all the paths they take”, as “being able to count the leaves the earth grows during spring, and the grains of sand that roll under the waves of the sea or the river, and the flows of the wind” ; and as “you who sees clearly the future and its origin”…  As a generous god, he also offers to humanity benevolent gifts, and maintains peace: “It is him that gives to men and to women the remedies that heal cruel diseases ; he gave us the cithara ; the Muse inspires those that please him ; he places in the hearts the love for concord and the horror of civil war. He rules the prophetic sanctuary.” As a son of Zeus, he himself becomes the embodiment of the divine, of the unnamed, of the celebrated “theos”. But Pindar didn’t go as far as to erase the other Apollo, the cruel god of destruction. Apollo takes his revenge over an unfaithful Coronis by sending Artemis, a merciless and blind executioner, to kill her with a brutal death – and so will perish numerous innocents whose sole crime was to live near the culprit.

Aeschylus’ Apollo, contemporary to the one of Pindar, brings a halt to the evolution of the god – and even a regression. In his tragedies, we have a bloodthirsty god that massacres with his arrows all of Niobe’s sons: his wrath is unflinching. Laios disobeyed the oracle: at the seventh door, the god will cause the fratricide of his grandsons Eteocle and Polynice (The Seven Against Thebes). Cassandra did not keep her promise: she will be mocked, captured and murdered. But the god, just like the perjury girl, does not hold his promises: after predicting to Thetis that all the gods will protect her bloodline with all of their love, he kills her son Achilles (The Judgement of Weapons). He is a god that scares people: “Phoibos” is close to “phobos”, fear and scare (The Persians). “Apollon” is close to “apollôn”, “he who destroys” (Agamemnon). The justice Apollo offers is an archaic justice, a vendetta logic: kill the one that killed. When he fights the Erynies within the play “The Eumenids”, he is not above them in any way: they have the same violence, the same bad faith, the same contradictions. And yet… this god is invoked by the messenger of Argos as the savior and the healer (Agamemnon). This imperfect god is the ambassador of Zeus, as it is highlighted many times during “The Eumenids”. This conquering god settles with pacifism on the ancient throne of Delphi: within “The Eumenids”, no murder of any dragon is mentioned. The god of darkness keeps some traits from the god of light.

The regression of Apollo within Aeschylus’ plays is explained by the turmoil of a world that was building: the Greek city was being born among a set of social and political tensions that impacted the way the thinkers saw the cosmos. Euripides’ own regression of Apollo can be explained by a world that is falling apart. The cities are fighting with each other, beliefs are weakening, the gods are falling from their pedestal and are lowered to the same level as mankind. It is the Dioscuri that absolve Orestes of the death of Clytemnestra. And the culprit of the crime is designated as Apollo, which gave “an unwise order” (Electra). A god full of grudges, he never forgives any offense. It is within his own sanctuary, in a treacherous way, by the arms of a thousand men, that he takes his revenge upon Pyrrhus, right as the latter was coming to make amends: “Here is how the Lord that gives oracles, the arbitrator of the law for all humankind, treats the son of Achilles as he was offering reparation! Just like a wicked man, he remembered old feuds. How could he then be wise?” (Andromache). Another proof of his lack of wisdom: he rapes Creusa. “Ah! Do not act in such a way ; if you have the power, practice the virtue! Because anyone who is wicked is punished by the gods. Then, how can we stand that yourselves, that make laws for the humans, be recognized of violating those laws? (Ion).

And yet, the Apollo of Euripides can also be as shining as the god of Pindar and of the Homeric Hymn: “How beautiful are the children of Leto, that she of Delos birthed in the fecund vales of the Isle – the golden-haired god, knowledgeable lyre-player, and the goddess proud in her talent at shooting with a bow!” (Iphigenia in Taurid). The bloodthirsty god can preach for peace: “Go you way, and may the most beautiful goddess, Peace, be in your home with honor.” (Orestes). And, while the poet is very critical of the god’s actions during “Ion”, he still sings the luminous and cosmic beauty of Delphi which, according to him, would have never been as great as it is if it wasn’t for the grace of its god: “Here is the brilliant four-horse chariot: Helios, already, sheds light upon the earth. And the stars flee the ether that is enflamed among the sacred night. The untouched peaks of the Parnassus, drowned in light, welcome for mankind the disc of the day.”

The ambiguity of the god, tied to his origins, is maintained as much within the works of those that criticized him, as in the texts of those that admired and respected him.

But!!! Your Hermes art gives SUCH age regression/agere vibes….age regression/agere is the coping mechanism where someone acts younger to deal with trauma usually! Someone who age regresses is called an age regressor or a little! There are two groups that age regressors fall under, littlespace and babyspace! Littlespace is when the person regresses from a toddler age to teen age! And babyspace is well as the name suggests, is when the person regresses to a baby! Your Hermes def gives off littlespace vibes…

There’s also caregivers, which as the name suggest, take care of the little! Not every little has a caregiver but most do! Caregivers can take on a parental role, a big sibling role! Or just a general guardian role! Apollo is def Hermes’s caregiver….

PERCY JACKSON AGERE HEADCANONS (PART I)

Warnings: None!

Characters: Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Jason Grace.

A/N: This is supposed to be read as x reader, but you can picture it with other canon characters as well! If this does well, I’ll make more parts! I’ll also be including Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo characters, as I am a book reader AND a show watcher. :3

Percy Jackson:

Percy Jackson is a caregiver, surprisingly enough. He’s rather impulsive and a bit immature, yeah, but he’s shown time and time again that he can be responsible and take charge when the situation calls for it.

He does well with slightly older kiddos, like 6-8, but it doesn’t really matter. He’ll love you and take care of you no matter what!

He loves taking his little to the park, on walks around camp, or to the beach! The rest of the campers are pretty accepting towards age regression (they’re all traumatized + they definitely have better things to worry about lol), so you don’t have to hide it when he takes you outside to play.

He doesn’t mind what you call him. “Percy”, “Perce”, “Dad”, “Dada”, “Daddy”, etc. Whatever it is, he doesn’t mind! As long as you’re comfortable and happy.

He loves, loves, loves, loves, LOVES spoiling you. He isn’t very well off and he doesn’t have much money, but he’ll buy you toys and whatever else you need/want whenever he can! He prefers to spend money on you rather than himself.

He’s scary. Not towards you. But towards other people. The second anyone dares say anything to you about your age regression at all, he goes WILD. He does not take that stuff lightly. You’re coping with trauma. How dare someone try to ruin your coping mechanism for you?! How cruel can someone be?! It disgusts him. He’ll take care of it.

He’ll call you cute little ocean themed nicknames like “sharky”, “seashell”, “pearl”, or “fishy”.

He plays heroes with you a lot and he gets his friends in on it too. He’ll set up a little fake quest for you and he’ll take it SOOO seriously. And everyone knows you have to have three for a quest so he’ll get other littles he knows to play with you too! You usually play with Hazel and Will.

He doesn’t have very many rules. He doesn’t like restricting your freedom. You’re his baby, yes, but he does not like being harsh or strict on you in anyway possible. The only rules he really has are bedtimes and meal times, and those are to help you stay healthy.

All in all, he’s a really amazing, fun loving caregiver who’s willing to do anything and everything for you. He loves you so much and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Annabeth Chase:

Annabeth is a flip, with a caregiver lean. She is responsible, strict, intelligent, and calculated. But she is also incredibly traumatized and had an awful childhood with no reliable guardian. She wants to regain her childhood sometimes.

When she’s a caregiver, she does well with slightly older kiddos as well. She’s not very emotional at all, so she doesn’t really know how to handle temper tantrums, but she tries her best! She’s just really bad with emotions and comforting people because she doesn’t even know how to process her own. She does better if you’re a bit more independent. That doesn’t mean she won’t baby you, though.

When she’s regressed, her little ages are older as well. Usually around 6 or 7. She’s very quiet and independent, but she likes having someone take care of her. Usually she’ll just sit on your lap while she does a puzzle or draws little designs for different buildings.

If she draws you a picture of any architecture designs, you better put it on the fridge. Look at that little face. How could you possibly not? And tell her you’re so proud of her too. She loves it when you praise her.

Annabeth’s fatal flaw is pride, so she has a hard time admitting when she needs help, so you often have to pry it out of her whenever she’s regressed. Rarely will she ever come to you, letting you know and asking you for help.

When she’s a caregiver, she really enjoys cuddling and just being chill. She’ll do puzzles with you, do things like times tables and flash cards, etc. She likes teaching you. She wants her baby to be smart!

She loves watching documentaries and listening to you ramble about things you really like. She’ll sit there and listen patiently. It’s so cute to her.

She is strict. You have a bedtime of 9pm, you wake up at 8am, you eat breakfast at 8:30am, lunch at 12pm, and dinner at 6pm. You take a shower every other day, and you have to hold her hand whenever you go outside.

When she’s a caregiver, she likes being called “Annie”, “Mom”, or “Mama”. She thinks it’s so cute and she likes hearing those nicknames from your tiny little voice.

When she’s regressed, she still likes being called “Annie”, but also “Baby” or “Little owl”. Even “Princess”. Those pet names make her all happily and giggly and she loves it.

She’s very quick to defend you if anybody says anything about your age regression. She combats it with logic. If anybody makes a comment about it being weird, she’s seething on the inside, but on the outside, she looks at them with a calm yet cold look, and she’ll say something like, “How is it weird? They aren’t don’t anything inappropriate. How is a person coping with trauma and loss of childhood weird to you? Can you explain that to me?”

It’s her way of embarrassing the person. She purposely makes herself seem smarter and educated than the other person so that they look absolutely stupid lol.

She likes taking you to the library. She’ll read story books to you and tales about Greek heroes and heroines. It’s really cute, the way your eyes light up and you ask curious questions about whatever she’s reading.

Jason Grace:

He’s a caregiver, through and through. He loves taking care of you. He loves knowing that he can protect you and keep you safe. He loves making you happy more than anything. You’re his little baby. :( /pos (I really really like Jason if you guys couldn’t tell-)

He does well with kiddos of all ages! But he really likes baby or toddler regressors. He likes how dependent they are. It’s not in a weird way or anything, he just really, really likes being relied on. He likes being trusted. He likes completely taking care of someone. He loves babying you so much.

He likes going on little adventures with you! He’ll carry you and fly you around places. He likes making you happy. He’ll hold your hand and walk around Camp Jupiter with you.

He gives you paci kisses if you use pacifiers. Like he’ll kiss the front of your pacifier. It makes you giggle and he thinks it’s so cute.

He loves cuddles so much. He’ll just hold you for hours and hours, keeping his strong, protective arms tightly around you. His favorite position is where you’re laying on top of him, your head laying on his chest.

He calls you so many pet names. Mainly “Baby”, “Darling”, “Sweetheart”, and “Little one”. He babies you so, so much!

He likes being called “Dada” or “Daddy” because it makes him feel more protective and responsible for you, but he’ll be happy as long as you’re comfortable and happy!

He spoils you. So much. He’ll buy you whatever you ask. You want another pacifier? He just ordered five of them. You want more toys? Pick at least ten, little one, you’ve been so well behaved and you deserve it. He just loves you so much.

If anybody says anything to you about your regression, he gets so protective of you. He’ll be so quick to defend you. He’ll try to calmly explain to the person at first that it’s normal and completely okay, but if the person doesn’t listen or back off, he’ll give them some…unkind words while covering your little ears. He’s very defensive of his baby.

He likes playing outside with you and setting up little play dates with other littles. He’ll watch you play with your friends and it makes him so happy to see you interacting with and getting along with other people.

He has rules. He has a strict bedtime and strict mealtimes. And when you’re in public, you must hold his hand at all times so you don’t get lost.

He’s a very sweet yet strict caregiver. He loves you so much and he loves when you rely on him.

oo1. When I say all muses are tops and dominant, I mean that I am experienced enough to know what I'm comfortable writing and that is it. Do not try to force switching on me. I also tend to selectively like brats (brats do not automatically make a bottom better written and I don't know how that thought process even started tbh.) oo2. With that said, all of my muses are complex and multi-dimensional in some way. My men have thoughts, feelings, dreams, goals, and personal preferences, and will absolutely soften for the right ships with chemistry. I'm not the writer for you if you believe tops/doms should be automatic kink-dispensers with no emotion or depth. oo3. You will see kinks as dark and heavy as non/dubcon, werewolves/monsters, possessiveness, public play, blood play, pain play, kidnapping, gun/knife play, violence, etc. You'll also see that mixed in with earned fluff and romance; I can play some very hard doms or terrible men but even they can be open to romance, no matter how dysfunctional. Therefore, follow at your own risk, or talk to me about your limits if we are roleplaying together. Any attempts at blog policing will result in a block, though. oo4. I can be open to restarting or trying multiple threads for the right partner; if I talk with you or roleplay with you often, that means I enjoy your writing and to feel free to come to me with new ideas or reply to other starters I may have. However, if our roleplays have a habit of never taking off or lasting, I'll probably skip on trying again just to get nothing out of it again.

XLVIII: Self Care? Never Heard of Her!

Apollo was helping Percy, Grover and the hunters get to San Francisco in less than a day, and Percy couldn't call him an ass for not wanting to anger Zeus, but the boy was getting pretty annoyed at him and his fake beard, and all this guy wanted to do was talk about his sister.

"Is there anything at all that you do know?" Percy asks grumpily after the god keeps giving him vague answers.

Apollo curls his dirty fake beard around a finger as he speaks. "You don't get what the deal is right now, but you will, very soon."

"What are you talking about? You're gonna enlighten me, or are you going to speak in riddles forever?" Percy snaps at him.

Apollo's voice echoes like the Oracle's. Percy almost expects to see green mist coming out of his mouth.

'When the dove touches the smith,

Almighty raises her myth

And the curse of love releases

By tearing earth into pieces.'

The god returns to his easy-going nature. 

"Now, that's a riddle," he winks. "Good luck! And be good to your sister, eh? I don't like it when others mistreat my fans."

Percy doesn't like the sharing-is-caring moment in which his sister tells them she's a spawn of the arai and her job is to get Leo Valdez killed.

What he hates the most is that he's been nagging her about sharing what was bothering her, and he already knew because she told him years ago about her regressions! Worse yet, Apollo himself had given him Ara's prophecy ages ago.

"What?" Leo asks, invested in Percy's story. "Why would Apollo give you Ara's prophecy?"

Ara's tone is full of irritation. "Percy demanded one when Annabeth went missing and he got it. Apollo granted him a glimpse of my fate knowing he wouldn't know what it meant."

Her brother pouts. "I didn't know he was talking about you. If I had..."

"You had no way of knowing, I didn't have Almighty then," Ara shakes her head. "Apollo revealed information to you before time, even for the god of prophecies, that's not right. Maybe he jumpstarted it without knowing."

"But wait," Jason blinks. "Okay, we know for sure that this is Ara's prophecy—Why does it have to do with Leo, though?"

"It's his chance to break the loop," Ara explains. "The constant self-destructive behavior Leo has had in all his lifetimes."

"I prefer to call it 'Tormented genius behavior'," Leo replies, eating a chocolate cupcake. "It would've been stupid to say no to you all those times, doll. It's you. I'm willing to take the punches."

"Call it whatever you want, it's still not a good thing," Ara scowls. 

"As much as I appreciate you being a good boyfriend to my sister, Leo, I agree with Ara, this doesn't sound good," Percy frowns. "Now I feel guilty for all the times I gave you two a hard time..."

"Well, now you know why I've been acting weird," Ara sighs, plucking out grass leaves. "That's where we're at. I still have no idea of what to do."

Leo mumbles, suddenly acting shy. "I've got one."

"What?"

"Are you ready to talk about our elephant in the room?"

"Ah, yes..." Ara turns to her brother tensely. "Mr. Ladiesman was sent to Ogygia."

"...And then the raft showed up." Leo shrugs. "I was telling Calypso that I had Odysseus's astrolabe and all I needed was a crystal from her island, and..."

"She fell in love with you," Ara says matter-of-factly.

"No."

The girl rolls her eyes. "Leo, she—"

"She looked me straight in the eye, just as confused, and said 'I'm not in love.' Why would she lie? Is not that embarrassing to be in love with me, is it?"

"It's a little bit embarrassing," Reyna raises a brow.

"We put everything in the raft and wired it up," Leo ignores the girl. "But she kept telling me it had to be a mistake."

"How?" Hazel asks just as intrigued as the rest.

Leo looks away blushing. "We had a theory... but she isn't sure her curse works that way."

"Works how?" Ara presses.

"Friendship," Leo replies, more flustered than before. "That summoned the raft."

"It could be," Annabeth thinks about it. "The curse is about her loving people and being forced to part ways, right? We assumed that meant romantically but if Leo's company was as good as any other, he could leave just like everyone else."

"She loves you as a friend," Ara wants to believe him, but Leo is hiding something. Hephaestus told her that things didn't end there. "Did you promise you would get her out?"

"She didn't want to hear about it," he glances at Percy with embarrassment. "She said I was the first boy on that island that didn't break her heart. Cal insisted that was more than enough and..."

"And you couldn't let it go," Ara's heart picks up its pace. "Did you promise on the Styx?"

He gulps. "She reminded me so much of you..."

Her eyes darken with frustration. "Your father wanted you to do this—you are his way of fulfilling the promise the gods made to Percy!" Ara pinches the bridge of her nose and tries not to freak out. "This is bad, Leo!"

"It's not!"

"An oath to keep with a final breath!" She recites looking around impatiently. "Anyone?"

Frank clears his throat. "So Leo will die if we don't help him fulfill that oath?"

Leo brushes it off. "Hey, guys, don't worry! If I'm the one who kills Gaea—"

"Prophecies are impossible to control," Percy interrupts gravely. "I tried to do that once, and you know how it went."

"It went pretty darn well considering you're still here," Leo points out with irritation.

"I don't want my sister to suffer another loss—"

"Let's not fight," Piper intervenes, though she sounds just as upset. "Ara has a prophecy we can work with, and Leo is part of another, this doubles their chances, right? More paths to choose from. We can't take back his oath, so..."

"We put our heads together and think of something," Annabeth agrees. "Ara, is there a part of your prophecy you think has been fulfilled by now? Just to see if we can scratch something out."

"The first line might refer to Leo and I getting together," she answers. "Almighty's line is fuzzy, I don't know what to make of it."

"I think that's you becoming a daughter of Olympus," Percy says. "You've been thinking about stuff that happened after you heard the prophecy, but I heard it before you, and you got Almighty a few months after that."

"But it doesn't make sense," Ara frowns. "Why is that mentioned after and not before the line where Leo and I meet?"

"Prophecies rarely have an order," Annabeth reminds her. "The last line of the big prophecy was about Percy and me closing the Doors of Death, and we still don't know if the world will fall to storm or fire."

"Okay, so it's Leo and Ara falling in love," Hazel recounts, drawing an imaginary line in her napkin. "Ara becoming the daughter of Olympus..."

"And the curse of love releases— By tearing earth into pieces..." Jason ponders. "The curse breaks when you kill Gaea, maybe?"

"Why would that be the answer? Gaea didn't curse us, it was a nymph."

"Well, she's Mother Earth, all nymphs are part of her, aren't they?" Leo replies. "I destroy Gaea with fire—POOF! I'm blasted back to Ogygia."

"No demigod has ever found Ogygia twice," Ara argues.

"Because none of them were trying to. Odysseus was, and he nearly got it done."

"You don't know if his astrolabe will work, you could die trying—"

"I'm dying anyway!" He exclaims, losing his patience.

Reyna, who's been hearing the exchange intently, finally speaks. "I don't know a lot about prophecies, but I know the most important part of any quest is picking a good team. You sound in sync, and Valdez has the foundations of a plan, focus on making it fault-proof."

"With what time?" Ara scowls. "A war is approaching!"

"Ara," Frank leans forward, adopting a serious expression. "This is a way to get our mission done while helping you. Two birds with one stone, and all that. We want to help."

There is a choir of agreement. Ara feels like a huge baby for enjoying it, her resolve isn't as strong when looking at all the wised-up faces of her crew. She can't help but trust them. "If you promise to prioritize your mission, I'm willing to try."

Leo kisses her cheek. "Lighten up, sunshine. We'll figure it out."

"Yeah, Birdy," Percy says encouragingly. "You're not alone."

"I know that," she replies defeatedly. "Thank you."

At sundown, Percy approaches Ara and Nico while the girl helps him get a harness on.

"Thank you," Percy says.

"What for?" Nico glances at him.

"You promised to lead the others to the House of Hades. You did it."

"You got me out of that bronze jar in Rome. Saved my life yet again. It was the least I could do."

"What about me? I nursed you back to health!" Ara teases him.

Nico tightens the ropes around the statue. "You owed me that much. And you still owe me like a hundred favors once you're done here."

"Talking about favors," Ara turns to Percy. "Bob was with you. What was that about?"

Surprisingly, Percy starts talking about his journey. "Only because Nico kept visiting Bob... You convinced him that I could be trusted, even though I never visited him. I never gave him a second thought. You probably saved our lives by being nice to him."

"Yeah, well, not giving people a second thought... that can be dangerous," he says bitterly.

"Dude, I'm trying to say thank you."

Nico laughs dryly. "I'm trying to say you don't need to. Now I need to finish this, if you could give me some space?"

"Yeah. Yeah, okay." 

Percy glances at Ara as if saying 'Seriously, what is up with this guy?' and usually, Ara would return the look, maybe tease Nico a little (about something else so she could deviate from the subject). She doesn't want to do that now.

"Di Angelo doesn't need a reason to be helpful, ain't that right, Ghost King?" She pats his back harshly. "He's not fishing for compliments, don't undermine his bravery and commitment to the cause."

"Too much," Nico mutters, his back turned to them while securing the statue.

"Shut up," she whispers back.

Percy stares at them in confusion, completely unused to their new dynamic that has almost zero of the hostility of old times. Ara grins knowingly. "Nico was there when Eros forced me to talk about my curse—after that, he took on the role of my substitute older brother."

"That's not true," he scowls. "And I'm a year younger than you."

"He took it very seriously. There was verbal abuse involved."

"Mostly from you."

"See? He can't stop."

Her brother grins. "Well, I'm glad you had each other during such a crappy month..." Percy's face drops. "Gods, Ara, your birthday..."

Annabeth gets to them before Ara can reply to that. She holds Percy's hand and then turns to them. "Good luck, Nico."

"Yeah," he replies without looking back, tilting his head to respond. "You too."

Reyna and Hedge show up then. Reyna hugs Annabeth and Ara can't help feeling jealous, Reyna is always overly formal with her because of their ranks, and the girl wishes she would treat her like when they were children.

"We will succeed," the praetor promises.

"I know you will," Annabeth smiles.

"Yeah, don't worry," Hedge nudges his way through. "I'm going to get to camp and see my baby! Uh, I mean I'm going to get this baby to camp!"

Ara chuckles and hugs him. "You've been the best guardian we could've asked for, Coach. Thank you—and say hi to Clarisse and Mellie for me."

The satyr pats her back. "'Course, cupcake. Make me proud."

"I won't go on a killing spree, Coach."

"Why not?" He demands grumpily.

"All right," Nico points at each side of him. "Grab the ropes, please. Here we go."

Reyna stands before Ara, looking eye-to-eye. "Strategus."

Ara sighs, accepting that she'll never get a hug from this girl. "Praetor. Take care of that statue, she's cranky. And my brigadier, he's cranky too but if you feed him at his hours he won't bite."

Reyna shakes her hand. "We'll see each other again, General."

"Definitely."

The girl goes to wrap the rope around her, and Ara goes to Nico. Once again the boy is about to embark on an extremely draining quest, like nothing he's ever done before, and perhaps just as destructive as his journey through Tartarus. She no longer sees Nico as a little boy, but the worry persists.

"Well, there's no denying we still make a great team," she reaches out to shake his hand. "Don't die, Lily is waiting for you at home."

Nico takes her hand, shaking it firmly. "I'll tell her you say hi."

"Don't," Ara responds. "I'll tell her myself."

Happy one year event anniversary!! (And many more~?)

On one hand, this feels like it’s gone on quickly. On the other, it really, really, hasn’t! I assumed they would be heading to school within at least two months, and here they are finally getting the papers in order. That’s how time works, I guess! Once again, I’m grateful to all the roleplay partners I’ve had, lost, and gained over this time period and appreciate every single one of you! Now time for some event trivia because I can!

All the Lords have age regressed (mentally reverting to a younger age range) at least once.

Their father was initially only made to instigate the event and nothing else, but characters tend to grow.

Time is different in-universe than out of it. They’ve only been human for about two months.

The event canonically started in December! Though there are few indications of this, and time slipped away from me so they’re still experiencing December.

NPMD’s human forms for the LiB and a post that discussed the Lords (actors) being seen at prom with the rest of the highschoolers inspired this whole thing! I can’t find that post for the life of me but you have to trust me.

Rick Riordon’s Trials of Apollo (where god Apollo gets cast down by Zeus and has to face trials to get back) book series was also going to be an inspiration, but I only vaguely remembered the book plot lines and…forgot lol.

At the very beginning, pre-event, I was in between making it a fanfiction or a blog event. The fanfic might still happen post-event if we’re lucky.

And that’s it! Some little tidbits. This event has been a surprisingly big part of my life this past year and I enjoy it immensely. I’ve made great friends through it! I hope all of you who are interacting will stick around, this story still has places to go. Love you!!

6 - Who goes through the most relationship conflicts?

I thought this would be easy but now that I think about it, it's not. I'd say it's a toss up with James, Pierre, and Blaire all for different reasons (James has been in few relationships where most didn't end well, Pierre has had a mixed bag of dating history ranging from awful to great, and Blaire just makes a living off "dating" other men but still has a stable long running relationship regardless...so it's hard to answer)

11 - Who is afraid the most (and how does it affect them)?

Very unsurprisingly Pierre is constantly running off a constant dosage of paranoia. Because of that, it's super easy for Pierre to feel "wronged" or threatened, which causes him to initiate many fights or even attack people seemingly out of the blue. It's not good for her physical wellbeing or his reputation

14 - How does your OC cope?

Pierre, when stressed either resorts to a sort of state of hyper aggression, but if comfortable enough or alone, Pierre likes to cradle himself and rock back and forth and absent-mindedly plays with her hair. It's actually ties into involuntary age regression due to trauma. It's the best he can do to deal with stress, really

Although for some time Pierre also happened to fall back on chem use to deal with stress and trauma during a time where he couldn't do either (but she's tried to kick the habit, though occasionally relapsing they eventually try to steer away from using them often)

And James...he ignores his problems. He tries to squeeze out his emotions little by little (by writing mainly, rarely venting to other people), but often things build up and either leave him feeling overwhelmed or empty. So I'd say he's not sure how to

hii, i was wondering if u had some advice for getting into worshipping deities, i kinda have a feeling that i'd like to work with apollo and dionysus and i've started to just research apollo but i'm unsure how to go about things or if i wanna work with them and stuff i should and shouldn't do

(also i really like ur blog bc i age regress and i love stray kids and i've always been interested in witchcraft and hellenic polytheism so the serotonin boost is strong lol)

about going into worship hmm

just kinda do research and find out if you want to work with them (you can still worship without working with deities)

if you just want to worship a deity its cool to just start to do that like pray and make offerings sometimes (if youre not sure if its okay you can ask a deity using a pendulum!)

but if you want to work with them then like i said do research, get to know their aspects and what they help with and then you can just kinda wait till they give you a sign (cus its really easy to attract a deitys attention just researching them or talking about them)or you can reach out to them yourself and just ask if theyre interested in working with you (you can do that using pendulum,tarot, whatever works for you)

and then you just kinda talk about what you want their help with and boundaries and all that and then you talk some more (about a possible altar, about what they maybe see you need help with as well, you can ask them if they want to tell you something)

and yeah that's how it looks like in my case

stuff you should do is probably just be respectful

you can talk casually but with respect

uhh ive heard about checking on offerings so they wont get moldy

and basically just work hard to be the better version of yourself like they will probably advice you to

and dont treat Apollo and Dionysus like only gay memes or sth cus i know there are people who think theyre those funny gay uncles but theyre more than that so make sure you treat them with respect /nm /lh

dont be scared to ask them questions if youre unsure about something

dont think theyre going to punish you for making mistakes just be relaxed and feel the comfort they give you

and uhhh if you get the feeling you want to work with them just go with it cus it might as well be a sign but idk for sure so its better to confirm with them

what i would add from myself as a tiny upg is ask their pronouns! cus i used to refer to dionysus as a male and he/him pronouns but she told me shes actually a woman and uses she/her pronouns (just god things i guess) so now i use those for her but shes okay with calling her w god,deity,goddess or whatever other name but yeah ask pronouns i think deities change for different practitioners so like idk 😶 hope i helped somehow!! good luck kid!:3

-Do you have a large headcount? We do! Currently, on Simply Plural, we have 60 documented alters. We say documented because there could be more in dormancy or some undiscovered.

👾-Do any alters in your system have typing quirks? We don't have adult alters who have typing quirks, but our littles have typing quirks. They can't really spell words correctly and will try their absolute best to figure it out, which is amazing for them.

🚀-Does your system have any Non-human alters? We do have some non-human alters. We don't understand why people fake claim others about it. It's documented in every resource we check out

☄️-Is your system neurodivergent? Heavily. We are medically recognized with autism and are now looking into ADHD since we match the basic symptoms.

🔭-Does your system use neo Pronouns? Collectively, we use a neopronoun, which is e/em/eirs. Individually, we have a lot of alters who use neo pronouns and love it. I think my favorite one would have to be zoom/zoom's/zoomself, which belongs to Abeles!

Bec has pink highlights, Deja dyes their hair different colors every month, Kaleb has a green streak, Maxwell has a blue streak, and Rylan dies his ends purple, close to violet. We update our looks a lot because it makes us feel like ourself, even if the body doesn't show them. You know the saying: look good, feel good!

🌙-Are there any nonverbal alters in your system? We have alters that can go non-verbal if they age regress or get extremely overwhelmed, but not one that is completely non-verbal. Well, not yet.

🪐-Does your system have Angry or "dangerous" persecutors? We do, but they're working on becoming better and coping in a better way. Sometimes, they relapse and all they can do is pick themself up and continue on with life. If they read this, I'm super proud of them for just improving.

💫-Do your littles use 'little-speech?' Yes! Both verbally and while typing they do

🌟-Does your system have fairly clear communication? Most of the time it's clear, but sometimes we have a static going over our conversations and makes it hard to hear each other. The static, at least for us, becomes more intense when we're stressed by life.

🌘-Do you have a large or complex headspace? We have a large headspace, but I find it to be kind of simple. Just a bunch of rooms for people in the system, a fronting room for everyone and a meeting room for important situations.

👽Does your system have any tics? We were recently diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, so yes. Our severity of tics do fluctuate and depend on who is fronting. Same with the kinds of tics that we get. Apollo, for example, has more mental tics and verbal tics compared to Kaleb who has more physical and dystonic tics
