well of COURSE my microcontrollor had to die on me Right when i wanted to test it with the rest of the project even though it was working perfectly the day before 🤡

#uhhhh me#i am so out of my depth. programming the led lights already took all my brainpower#and now i gotta TROUBLESHOOT??#well i guess this is my own fault for accidentally buying a fake arduino#it was so incompatible with the software and apps i wanted to use and it took so much roundabout work to make it...work#like i had to track down a specific usb port app and then use a super old version of the arduino software#and even then it still wouldn't cooperate with some of the other programs#and now it's just like pooping out#and i can't even be sure if it's the board that's dying or the leds#bc there Was an incident where i plugged it in backwards by accident and something flashed red and i panicked and unplugged it#don't know if that was some kind of warning light#anyway. if there are any techy ppl here.#the power light is on when i plug the board in. but when i plug in the ground wire and 5v wire the light dims so much it's basically gone#if only ONE of those wires is plugged in then it's fine#but the moment the other touches the pin then it dims#and needless to say the leds don't turn on at all#i tried using a different outlet#i tried a different usb port#i haven't tried it on my computer yet#is this where i snap and just purchase an actual arduino for real

Arduino Nano Board R3 with CH340 chip
Based on the Arduino platform, the Nano R3 Board CH340 Chip without USB Cable does all the functions of the Uno, but has a smaller footprint.
Using Nano CH340 Soldered Board R3 Chip without USB cable is essential for your small project where you don’t need many pins, but the small size is very important to make it look nice.
In comparison to older versions of Arduino Nano with FTDI USB-Serial Chip, the Nano uses a low-cost USB-Serial Chip.
With the ATmega328 (Arduino Nano R3), the Nano is small, complete, and breadboard-friendly. It has more or less the same functionality as the Arduino Uno but in a different package. In addition to lacking a DC power jack, it uses a Mini-B USB cable instead of a standard one.
This device can be powered by a mini-USB cable, a 6-20V unregulated external power supply (pin 30), or a 5V regulated external power supply (pin 27).
Six PWM I/O are included from a total of 14 digital I/O, eight analog inputs, 16Mhz clock speed, and 32kB flash memory.
Please note:
The CH340 chip might not work directly with some PCs/laptops. You will need some drivers for the CH340 chip.
Arduino nano features :
TTL level serial transceiver ports (RX / TX)
Atmel Atmega328P-AU MCU used
It has a bootloader installed
Supports USB download and power supply
Provides support for external DC power supplies of 5V and 12V

Following electronics/hardware people online is so fucking funny because they'll say some shit like "The RHSV500 is actually a pretty bad downgrade from the RHSV480 considering the price, I'd recommend you buy 1000 480s since they're not made anymore or alternatively use the GHHH20 because it's basically the same anyway and actually are in stock" and some guy in the comments will immediately start defending the RHSV500 like he's going to die if people don't nut when you show them the spec sheet

Attiny85 Development Board
The ATtiny85 development board is similar to the Arduino, but cheaper and smaller (of course a bit less powerful). With a whole host of shields to extend its functionality and the ability to use the familiar Arduino IDE, this ATTINY85 Development Board is a great way to jump into microcontroller electronics. ATtiny85 development board come with the USB interface. Coding is similar to Arduino, and it uses the familiar Arduino IDE for development. This is a digispark clone. It has 6 port with several functions. Depending on the programming (with Arduino IDE) can it have 6 digital I/O, 4 analog inputs or 3 PWM outputs. It can be powered by a USB port or an external power supply of 6-35V DC.

Arduino IDE Boards Manager - Do NOT Install ESP32 by Espressif Systems Version 3.00-alpha1
As usual, I opened the Arduino IDE on my Windows-11 machine, and as a first action, I allowed the recommended updates. Not suspecting any significant problems, I added some code and compiled it, only to end up with multiple error messages. I found nothing wrong with the code I had added, and the error messages didn't make sense. They mainly pointed to the code for the internal CAN controller and ESP timer programming.
