Friendly reminder of the night that if you're trans and fat, you shouldn't feel obligated to lose weight to pass. You can be fat and femme, fat and masc or fat and androgynous, and you don't even need to "pass" if that's not what feels most comfortable/safe for you. You're no less trans or worthy of respect.
Its your skin, and the only person that it needs to bring comfort to is YOU. Not anyone's notion of gender.

Do you have any advice on growing an art following on tumblr?
I think my first advice would be to start with something that attracts people easily. Medias for example. So draw fanarts of medias you enjoy. It's easier for someone to enjoy art if they actually know the context, so fanarts can be a way to start gaining followers easily.
My second advice would be to make a blog exclusively about your art and only your art. That way, people know what they are following and you're less likely to lose followers because you keep posting about different things (things they might not be interested in).
Allow people to give you ideas, but be true to yourself when it comes to draw and own it. There are millions of fanarts. Be thoughtful and inspired to make your owns.
Hope this helps :)

Life as a JGY stan is so hard because sometimes I want to make posts about the ways his very justified paranoia turns against him sometimes, rare moments where I think being more trusting or vulnerable would have helped but he felt like it couldnt, or talk about how his brutal survival instinct intersects with society's existing bigotries in a such a way that most of his violence is actually aimed at people lower on the ladder than him, with people like Jin Guangshan being the exception not the rule. Because he's a fascinating character and these parts of him are interesting!
But when I do that I have to live in perpetual fear of the moment that it escapes its target audience and someone takes it to go "Yeah he's a monster who fucked over everyone and is incapable of love! I wish he was killed earlier and his death was a thousand times more painful 🤪"
I mean, take my last example. Due to existing hierarchies it is, at any point, easier and safer for jgy to harm people less powerful than him instead of more powerful than him, even if the more powerful are the ones threatening his safety in the first place. Even knowing how it harms him and while working against it, Jin Guangyao is not immune to internalizing the mindset of the world he lives in. Even when killing Jin Guangshan- one man- it ends up costing the lives of 20 sex workers. You think I can bring up the sex workers in this fucking fandom? You think that will go over peacefully? The well has been so thoroughly poisoned here it feels like any conversation around morality automatically turns into a courtroom to determine a sentence for this fictional fucking character who's already dead.

need more people to understand that the stede v izzy duel wasnt stede just luckily winning whilst fumbling around. (and that stede is a better pirate than izzy) it is literally an encore Fuckery(tm) thought up on the spot. stede literally doesn’t just win, he outsmarts izzy at his own game and im SICK that people still think stede is a fumbling plot armour fool 24/7 like stede has been obsessed with reading and studying piracy his whole life of course he knows about the rule of rendering the other pirates sword inoperable and finds the one possible loophole to cause no bloodshed nor have him be violent in anyway (i am certain this is due to him being 100% conscious towards what ed had told him in the bathtub scene prior). why else do you think he has no surprise on his face when he’s stabbed to the mast? hell he immediately looks smug cause he knows he’s won before izzy even has the thought, immediately he just: did i do it right?

I'm thinking about Ernest again.
Imagine you grow up surrounded by a loving family (we'll ignore the kind of fucked up things going on there as well). Then your mother dies and your older brother leaves for university and sure that’s sad but eventually live goes on. But a few years later your younger brother gets murdered, seemingly by the housekeeper who is also your cousin's best friend; someone you thought you could trust. She gets executed for it, maybe you think she deserved it, maybe you wonder if she really could have done it, especially since your brother and cousin are convinced she didn’t.
A while after that your brother's dearest friend, who you likely know very well –he visited so often during your childhood that your house is probably like a second home to him– gets murdered somewhere in Ireland. Your brother is accused of the murder and ultimately aquitted, but when he returns he is like an empty shell of his former self. Maybe you wonder what exactly happened back in Ireland, but even of you do, you will never know.
Your brother and cousin get married as your parents had always wished they did but on the wedding night your cousin gets murdered as well.
Shortly after your father dies broken-hearted.
Now you and your brother are the only ones left. You should stay together, work through all the grief and support eachother after everything that happened, right? Afterall you only have eachother.
But your brother leaves. Packs his bags one day without telling you why. Maybe you ask him to stay, maybe he leaves at night when you're sleeping and you wake up to him being gone.
He never returns. The house is empty, you're the only one left there. Halls that used to be filled with laughter are now echoing the sounds of your footsteps as you wander around them feeling lost and alone.
Maybe you find out what happened to your brother. Maybe one day you receive a letter from Russia or England, signed by someone called Robert Walton, telling you your brother died up in the arctic on his ship.
You wonder what brought him there, what was there that led him to desert you, was there any reason he left or did he just run to leave everything behind, to even leave his only living brother?
Maybe you find out, maybe the letter tells you the entire story, your own brother's narration of a horrifying tale, you wonder if you can even believe it. Maybe he has truly gone mad, but it fits with the events perfectly. You don’t know what to think.
But maybe you never find out, maybe you never even get that letter. Maybe you'll spend the rest of your live wondering what happened. What went wrong, so that you are now alone on this earth, robbed of all those you loved? Maybe you'll never know, maybe you'll never find your peace.
