the transitioning thing is a little complicated and depends on a case by case basis, like for example its completely okay for an arissospecies person to get, lets say, fursuit paws or ears or if they can afford it, even entire fursuits and stuff, or get fangs or elf ears via surgery if theyre aware of the risks of it.

similar for arissoage, it's okay to act or dress like your internal age, which is considered transitioning by some, however it is impossible to transition as an arissoage in a deeper way because youth surgeries can only go so far and legally youre not allowed to write someone as younger than they are because it'd erase YEARS of their existence which would cause legal issues.

however for things like arissorace, transitioning is always associated with bigotry and bad intentions, whether it's true or not, and will always cause more harm than good to both you and the people of the race you're transitioning into.

similarly arissobody/arissoability includes things like BIID, which does have amputation/severing of nerves as a treatment, but it is often the last resort because it cant be reversed and doesnt even help with dysphoria 20-30 percent of the time.

this stuff is nuanced and the reason theres seperate flags and definitions for some of them is BECAUSE theyre nuanced yk.

I understand! I think that kind of gets into the problem with trying to fit this all under one term, since they really aren't the same thing. Like trans-species talks pretty openly about body modifications and saying you're an animal, which just wouldn't be a thing you can do with something like chronosian, BIID, or similar.

It makes sense though since I feel like transID kind of lumped all of these together anyway, so now we need to figure out what we can do about it. It sounds to me like arisso might make a good starting branch for different communities
