One thing I'm not sure anyone's mentioned yet that's very curious about the upcoming Blacksteel event:

That cat.

For those unfamiliar, there are some very strange things with cats in Arknights. Mousse's files show that her "kitties" she found are utterly unfamiliar creatures to Rhodes Island. Nobody recognized them (at least, no one mentioned in the files. I'd be surprised if Kal'tsit doesn't know) at all, and it was even unclear whether or not they were really normal animals or something else entirely. A more obvious example of a strange cat in Arknights is Miss Christine, with her two tails, perception of certain things during IS2 that no one else seemed to notice at the time, and more. Phantom's files refer to her as a person rather than as a pet. It's not just that Miss Christine is weird for a cat, it's that all cats in Arknights are likely weird like this. In the Luo Xiaohei crossover event, they very deliberately use a "Cloudbeast" as a cat analogue rather than an actual cat. Whatever the writers have cooking with regards to cats, it's been on a slow burn for a while.

Which makes me wonder: what is with this cat in the blacksteel event?

I just realized that Saga's new skin on CN probably isn't her family, but all the different versions of herself that she saw inside of Dusk's painting

This was probably obvious to some people but it's blowing me away. This is what she saw in the painting. All these different versions of herself. All these possibilities that are just as much Saga as she is. These are the Sagas she sat down with, came to know, and had a nice meal with before leaving the painting entirely of her own volition.

This really is the perfect skin for her.

So assuming you exist within materialistic universe where thought and idea are but an application of matter.

Thus a concept or idea or thought you had was in some sense a map of the real landscape, reflective but ultimately secondary. The shadows upon the wall within the cave (where you wanted it to be the other way around).

But if say, you could truly discover a form of existence that reversed this relationships and instead imposed the map as the landscape itself. Something for which the memories and thoughts were not just a complex system of signals within brain but an actual geshtalt entity that you could meaningfully separate from the matter they consist of, as abstract, an ideal form.

And then you could call it originium and eventually come up with a specific application of originium that is also called 'arts' (explicitly tied to abstraction).

That's kinda how I feel about recent arknights lore developments. (technically, that's how I felt ever since under tides but now HG came out and said "btw, this is also about our attempts to immortalize ourselves via thought and ideal before the face of universal decay")

MASSIVE VAGUE CN/BABEL EVENT SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT

After having some time to digest it, and based on leaks so accuracy may vary, but my initial impression is I'm genuinely impressed that with these revelations HG has made the doctor both even more doc warcrimes than we ever thought possible, but also more themselves. This person is still, ultimately, trying to do the right thing, still loves the people of Terra. It's both terrifying and beautiful that we can absolutely see how they're believably the same person, just with and without the burden of knowledge and history and loyalty, rather than some sort of evil alternate personality.

It beautifully mirrors Amiya, Lord of Fiends, who acquired her historic ties that bind artificially and remains separated from them by her nature as an outsider, vs the Doctor who was severed from their historic ties but remains tied to them by their very existence. Can these two paradoxical existences, one step in the past and the other in the future, Theresa's creations, make her dream a reality? Find out next time, on Arknights!

I'm sure that Reclamation Algorithm 2 will be much better than the initial one in terms of gameplay, but in my opinion they've stepped down on their title game. Fire within the Sand is a much better title than Tales within the Sand. Much less evocative.
