Army of Lovers - Crucified 1991

"Crucified" is a song by Swedish band Army of Lovers, released as the first single from their second studio album, Massive Luxury Overdose (1991), and the seventh single to be released by the band. The track samples the drum break from James Brown's "Funky Drummer".

It was successful in several European countries, including Belgium, where it reached the number-one spot, number two in Greece and the Netherlands, and top 10 in Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Switzerland. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Crucified" peaked at number 14 in March 1992. In the US, "Crucified" became a huge club hit and radio favorite, debuting at number six on the Billboard Dance singles chart and spending a total of 14 weeks in the top 20. The music video was one of the most played on MTV Europe in the fall of 1991. The video was used in an episode of American animated television series Beavis and Butt-Head.

Starting of this rotation strong ahaha. Not gonna lie, i was NOT expecting a Madonna cover from Eths at all lol. Mostly, at the time, I got this album cause it was the last one recorded with Candice on vocals, and then the album's bonus tracks started with this cover and i kinda lost it ksjdakjdbfdf

Music was a bonus track on the special edition of the album III, released in 2012.

Ghost - Crucified (Army of Lovers)

I dabled in Ghost a little, around the time when Cirice was released (so at the same time as everyone else) and then i learned that papa whatever his name is this week was not paying his Nameless Ghouls and i just stop caring oops. This being said, back then, i bought this mini album only because i wanted to know if that crucified was an Army of Lovers cover AND. IT. WAS. ("i play the double yew" ahhaha)

Crucified was on the If You Have Ghost (which are mostly covers and its funny as hell !!!!! They covered fucking ABBA too lmao), released in 2013.

Directed by Fredrik Boklund and Martin Persson, filmed at Börringe Priory, a castle in Svedla, Sweden that was built in 1763 on the ruins of a medieval Benedictine priory. This video was among the most played on MTV Europe in 1991, and was featured in an episode of Beavis and Butt-Head.
