This channel uploads some subtitled clips of Jang Heebin 1995, 1981 and 1961 as well as some other stuff.

This person used to upload Kim Wan Sun videos!

Distant Memories/Memory Distant uploads content like variety shows and stages from actors and singers, that they recorded on their VCR from the mid 90s to 2000s. They also have a blog here and a post where they sent Lee Jiyeon a postcard/fanletter and she responded here !

victory lee is a channel that has exclusively 80s and early 90s content. They have very extensve knowledge and a database.

This channel has more of a trot and ballad music vibe and they post a lot of compilations.

Sungdy is a Yang Soo Kyung fanchannel that uploads her videos. Another channel for Yang Sookyung is Soo.

Lastella is a Ha Soo Bin fan channel and has a lot of Soo Bin's performances and music videos, tv appearances etc.

Time Machine 90s also uploads videos from the 90s and 2000s from their own collection.

As you can see from the name, towhitecastle is a H.O.T. fan but uploade bad quality videos of 1st gen idol groups and artists. Going into their comment sections is like riding a time machine to 2005 and it is interesting to see how the conversations were about the "new gen", just how we talk about the current new gen today.

jk Kim ahjusshi is more of a classic Korean Pop Music uploader. He uploads 50s,60s and 70s pop and trot standards as well as modern folk music and even contemporary gugak.

Overall Artist Recommendations + Explanations

Apink: South Korea's music industry has a problem allowing their female artists to mature over time, but APink has a good blend between the bubblegum pop sound and some of the most beautiful vocals you'll ever hear.

BlackPink: This is going to be controversial, but I found them to be a good (metaphorical) gateway drug. I recommend listening to their first album The Album, but whatever you do skip Ice Cream.

Chung Ha: I cannot emphasize how much I love her entire discography. Most of the soloist listings would have just been her and Sumni if I wasn't self-regulating myself.

Dreamcatcher: Dreamcatcher has come to be known as "The Face of Rock in K-pop", and they deserve the title with the bangers they put out. Not to flex, but I've been a fan since their debut in 2017 and I'm not letting go anytime soon.

NewJeans: This girl group is inspired by 1990s-2000s pop, and it shows in the way everything they make is criminally catchy. If you want to feel like the beginning of a teen movie, they are the go to group to go to.

Sumni: She is my favorite soloist, and most of the soloist listings would have just been her and Chungha if I wasn't self-regulating myself.

That is it for part one, even though I know I am going to be kicking myself later for leaving out some songs but I hope my mutuals appreciate my list.

The next part will be boy groups and soloists. :)

Don't mind if I do!!! Even though it is so hard argh. Ok uHHH.

The cover I made for my webcomic Acchan is definetely a big favourite right now.

Then there's this piece I made for artfight last year which I'm reeeeally happy with. The colours, the lineless style etc. I like it so much I made it into the cover of one of my sketchbooks.

This profile picture I made for myself in 2021. I've been wanting to make a new one but I do sincerely like everything I've done here color and style wise. It was also my tentative stepping into textures so it was definetely something for me at the time!

This drawing I made of my oc Malu. It could definetely use some improvement nowadays BUT I still think this is one of my best composition layouts and framing overall. Also She is very cute.

I cant make my mind about the last one so I'll just add this tiny Acchan as a symbol of whatever is to come that I might create.

23. Do you listen to music or watch shows while you work? If so, what’s your favourite?

Yes! Not watch shows usually but I have watches some of those like. 8 hours victorious videos or whatever so it might as well count as a show. HMMM. I think as of right now I'm very into sky forever blue, Mama's broken heart and villain by Stella Jang.

Have u listened to "Villain" by Stella Jang? I think it might be right up your alley in terms of indie artists… (P.S. the music video on Youtube provides the english translation in the subtitles, if u ever want to understand the Korean lyrics)

Also, I love the way u drew Jack's ice-projections; it's a nice little detail that really adds to his free-spirit/playful nature. Can't wait to see more Ripple pieces, if u have any planned.
