My 2023 art summary and last post of the year!

I'm pretty happy with my output this year, all things considered! I wasn't able to get to every goal (like all the synth anniversaries I had planned to do art for) but instead I was able to organize the @sf-a2collab! It was well worth it.

I've talked about it before, but I'm taking a little break from posting art. I gotta take extra care of my mental health this time or the year so I can step into 2024 fresh and free of burn out.

Artist summary this year but its full of SFM ToT

Haven't drew anything for awhile (minus for something) and so decided to just put some sfms that i made. As for October, was so focused on schools so I literally barely made anything. But I kinda have some wips, so there's one of them xdxd

Anyway, damn, to think I started SFM last year because I can actually use it from my old laptop and now,,, and have mostly made l4d2 posters for a year, damn

Now I am trying to aim to animate for a minute long at least, maybe

Also, styles keep changing lol (most are inspired from songs hhhhh)

Anyway, thanks for this yearrrr stuff, hope to be the samee but wishing I would start drawing more (idk what are words or say anything else, but still, thank youuu )

2023 Pick your favorites!

I focused more on illustration and medium variety this year, by the looks of it. I've rediscovered my love for ink again. Things look consistent. Maybe too consistent? I'd like to be bolder and more experimental with my designs in the future. What would you like to see more of?

Here i am again after another year, drew alot of stuff, many sketchbooks filled but still haven't met some goals i was hoping for so maybe this upcoming year.

For a summary of my 2023, read on!

2023 was a very productive art year as I went full-time in February. It started out with lots of fantasy items in color for seizekingsgames

I went to two comic conventions! The first was in Malmö tabling together with @mkllpz then Göteborg. Here's a picture of me in Göteborg wearing a jumper my girlfriend knitted(!!):

I made two books! One is a collection of my fantasy item drawings and the other is a collection of short comics and knight drawings. https://ko-fi.com/oscarwestberg

I made several short comics. My favourite is "A Castle of Mice" pictured here. Most of them can be read on my website: https://oscarwestberg.se/comics/

I've done other client work as well, such as for ZdravkoMinchev 's "FALSE PROPHET", chrisbodegard 's "Esoteric Ebb" and also a bunch of artwork for an unannounced game.

I've worked on my next big book which is a fantasy journal of sorts. My plan is to make it about 80 pages long, 20 or so done so far. Characters + their stats, items and story.

Lots of really fun commissions throughout the year!

Can't say it's been easy financially to go full-time but it's been getting better and better. Looking forward to a great 2024!

July: Piece of my spider-sona! I was brainrotting about her a ton because I was talking about her lore with some buddies on Discord.

August: Art trade with @sillyhisui !!! Looking at this makes me physically sick I hate this expect a redraw soon!!! cause i can do WAY better than this i prommy

September: birthday piece for @ekholocationn !! she became old 💀/lh

October: minorinrin!!! im not a huge project sekai fan but she's got my heart <#33

November: piece for ganadarart!

December: secret santa gift for ermeiku!

And... yeah. This was one of my craziest years of improvement, but the first year I've done one of these. Nice.
