I already asked this on the PJ blog but just to make sure... Would you be interested in participating the UTMV Violet Banquet RP Event? It frames itself as a spiritual successor to love-ball from 2016. It's gonna have a practice run on Feb 12, 2025 before the full event in 2026. The Violet Banquet Discord Server is going to have RP Event for a few days in a row with a huge community of people. It's gonna be hosted on Discord.

People can play as their OCs, and when we get closer to the event we'll open auditions for major characters. If you don't want to participate, will we be allowed to make PJ as an Auditionable Character?

Though that's why I was planning to, if I was able to hop in and out of the event quickly, to RP as Gaiden! (A skelinkton I made at first as an April Fools thing but they turned to be their own thing at the end!) A super multiverse hopper springing into the Violet Banquet at random times? Yep - that's in line with Gaiden XD

Now, I was utterly baffled at first, as I couldn't find a fire myself anywhere on the lot, despite looking hard. But THEN it finally dawned on me to look on the back porch -- and yup, there was Guidry, doing some more entirely unnecessary herbalism and setting the grill on fire. *facepalm* Alice had her panic attack on the porch before super-speeding out the front door, while Smiler rushed in with the extinguisher and Victor with some Chillio. They got the fire out before it could do more than scorch the grill, but that was IT for me and Guidry! Him occasionally picking up dog poop and repairing turbines is NOT worth THIS! So, a little later on, I popped into build mode and got that special palmistry hand statue that can disable his visits and did just that. Bye-bye Guidry! You will NOT be missed! (I also got Alice her own tripod while I was thinking of it, because need all the fun trio pictures in the future.)

-->Oh, and just to twist the knife slightly? When I looked at the front yard to see how Alice was doing and get her inside for breakfast, I spotted that Victor's cowplant had finally grown up. Meaning I could finally complete his Freelance Botanist aspiration, getting him the Naturalist trait. You know, that trait that, for some reason in this game, makes Sims immune to fire and able to put it out instantly. *facepalm* Five seconds earlier, game! (Though I guess it's my own fault for changing his aspiration around previously and then forgetting to change it back...)

-->After that, though, things calmed down again around the farm. Victor and Alice, being hungry, went and had breakfast, Victor Deliciosoing up some salad while Alice had some choripán after cleaning out all the old plates from the fridge. Smiler, for their part, went out to tend to Moory -- the poor thing was all dirty, so they gave her a good brush, chatted with her, and -- because their relationship was now so good -- tipped her $25 simoleons! Makin' it rain in the rain, as you can see. XD This got Smiler a bottle of enriched milk along with the usual six normal bottles, which apparently helps skill-building after you drink it. Nice. :) I really gotta experiment more with making animal treats and getting special milks -- the bulk food processor allows me to make a couple different flavors of milk, but not every kind!

-->With Moory all set, it was back to the usual chores for the rest of the gang -- Alice got put on "cleaning the chicken coop" duty after I noticed just how badly it was stinking, and Victor of course went back into the greenhouse to help the bots with the tending. Or, well, bot -- I noticed Elmer's battery was looking really low, so Smiler went and deactivated him before taking him to the workbench for a tune-up. I also made sure the cowplant was well-tended -- Alice offered it some meat (which it refused, not being hungry), and Smiler (after finishing robot upgrades and kicking apart some creepy hands) played with it for a bit (a process which was a little unnerving for me, but they both seemed to enjoy it). Smiler then played some chess (getting all the way to Logic level 9) while Alice did the recycling and played with Kelly as Victor finished up his tending and harvesting in the greenhouse...and then, after a quick bathroom break and Smiler making sure to deactivate Bugs...

I don't think I'm understanding.. I cant turn my FNAF AU designs into full on OCs, (Original Characters) because.. well Freddy Fazbear and the gang are NOT my original characters. I just made my own AU (Alternate Universe) for them and redesigned them.

Well imagine if you were in his shoes. You are transported to some kind of unknown world. And absolutely no one arounds you speaks the same language as you.

Sneep has no way of knowing this is a digital plane. He has no idea if the people around him are real or not, he cant remember his name and no one can explain to him why that is. His body looks different, he feels different, no one around him looks to be a human.. just imagine how scary that is. Not having the comfort of things being explained to you in this situation. Not having the comfort of someone telling you "everything will be okay".

XD No worries! And yeah I started playing Warframe for the first time these past few days. Its been fun so far, Mag being my favorite. (She's the only frame I have <XDD)

I have my eyes out for Titania Prime, Trinity Prime, Mag prime and Mirage Prime. I'm thinking Titania might be my new favorite if I can snag one!

This game is fun, but the longer I play it? The more I miss OG Overwatch 😅 I tried playing TF2 again today and it just isn't the same 😔💔

Hello! So far my tablet is still alive. Although I'm looking into getting my laptop checked out and maybe replacing somethings... 😔

The thing that upsets Gummigoo isn't just that his mom isn't real necessarily, its that his memories of her aren't real too. He remembers all these experiences with this person but the memories aren't real...

And the whole reason why Caine let the brothers stay was because he hoped it would help Pomni adjust to the circus. Just like Bella did for Gangle. Bringing up NPCs or things from the Gators adventure could upset or confuse them so Caine wouldn't want to risk it. <:(

OMGOMGOMGKFMSGSKB IM FREAKING OUT IT'S HERE!!! MURDER DRONES EPISODE 7 TEASER!! EEEEEE!!! I went frame by frame and picked out some cool scenes I wanted to scream about, so get ready for a bunch of crazed ramblings and some theories !! (Long post ahead, folks)

Okay first of all- just- the lighting in these shots ✨ simply gorgeous... Also that "poster" thing in the background of the first image is very interesting.. obviously it says HELP (though that looks scrawled-on afterward with probably blood), and it looks like there could be possibly eyes? This thing. What is this thing. Probably part of the Solver, as it's all organic and eldritch-y, and it has veins. It looks lit from behind, almost like we're looking out from the inside of something? I think it's possible somebody gets dragged into one of those physical manifestations of the Solver, and this could be their perspective from inside it! Oooor we're looking at it from the outside, and there's something glowing inside the mass.

Next up, these guys??? So many possibilities here... They look like humans, but they aren't necessarily so, just like the "Tessa Isn't Human" theory. And from what little you can see in the teaser, they are moving in an odd way- suspicious. I originally thought they could be manifestation of the Solver or something, created to confuse, but after considering it for a bit, I realized it's more likely this scene is a flashback to when the core collapsed.

Oh it could also be that N gets factory-reset, causing him to actually lose his memories or something, which is AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PILE OF ANGST, but personally I hope/think it'll be closer to the first one... It seems very likely to me that all of the stuff N's been going through (and how he's just been pretending everything's fine) would catch up to him, and it would lead to an "outburst" of everything he's been bottling up. PLUS do y'all remember that merch ad?? I know it was just a promo, but merch stuff has been shown to be kind of relevant to the plot in the past soo... yeah I'm feeling very good about this theory-

So uhhh I made some ZeLink oc's too since like everyone is now too and I really like KeyChain!!! The two of them are kinda complicated and their story isn't to thought out at the moment but they are roughly 300ish years after Twilight Princess and their game would use lots of ancient Twili relics. It would also be the sort-of start to Calamity Ganon from BotW, like when he goes and turns into a malice blob. A cult would try to resurrect Ganondorf but he kills them before the ceremony is done so he never gets a body back and uses a twili relic to help keep his form. Link is a scavenger and Zelda is a giant study nerd, they are also friends who met for like a day when they were kids(like 10-11). Did you ever like go to the McDonald's play area when you were like 5 and meet a kid, play with them for an hour, become friends and be bff's or something then leave and never see them again. Yeah that's sorta what happened with them but they DID meet again! xD

Zelda was running from a seized castle with some knights but they died and Link found and saved her before she got killed too. The two reconnected and both made their way to the Sheikah observatory. (They are both 22-23 now btw)

But yeah that's sorta all I've got, also Impa has a sister named Sherry and she runs the Sheikah Observatory that Zelda stays at since Ganon took the castle and Link goes out to stop him. It would be like a two sided story if it were a game. Like you could play as Link and explore ruins and find Twili relics, AND play as Zelda who would clean the relics and defend the Observatory whilst keeping ganon at bay with her goddess powers. She can also take the relics and turn them into weapons to give to Link and make defenses for the Observatory.

Sorry for rambling! I just go a little overboard when thinking of lore stuff and this doesn't even go over probably half of what will be their lore. (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

This will probably not even be their final designs, as their story develops more I will probably tweak them a bit to help make it more cohesive.

(The urge to give EVERY Link a giant scarf now is so hard, I fallen to DEEP into the Warriors rabbit hole to ever climb out again.)

I just added the style of the armor, a half plate steel armor. And the nice cape and of course jewelry that totally doesn't make her look like a very disgruntled fancy red riding hood that can and will stab you xD

As for the portrait pic I decided to give her a low pony tail just because it would look less youthful and won't hit her in the face while moving fast.

I made this for free and I really love working with ppl and their little own blorbos ❤️

Had tons of fun,even though two of the sketches got into a cat-versus-drink related accident and I couldn't save one.

The skincolor is a little lighter but that mostly the camera light fault. It's either this or blurry blobs.

day 23 and i'm inspired by a certain someone to share my own 'dreamxd as a loving and protective parental figure to dream' kind of au :D

Dream's frame shook as he sobbed, tears catching on the rim of his hood which was pressed snugly to his face. He hugged himself tightly, knees to his chest, curled in a safe little ball where the rest of the world couldn't reach him. Guilt and fear gripped his rapidly beating heart, a hummingbird in a too-small cage. He could still hear them, the mocking laughter of his classmates, shocked gasps from his friends too stunned to react. But that cruelty wasn't what scared him.

He was vaguely aware of the sun beginning its descent in the sky, that his friends and family were probably worried sick about him right now. Again, they weren't what concerned him at the moment.

Tiny squeaks made him tense. A blob wiggled out from his hoodie pocket, and his anxiety increased tenfold.

Dream brought the small creature into his hands, no bigger than his little fists, and yet the weight of a thousand suns rested in his palms. A gift from XD, meant to keep track of him and accompany him when XD couldn't be there. A blessing, and a curse. It whined at him, expression distraught and smile gone. Confused by the lack of his precious mask.

"It's okay! I'm okay, I promise! Please, don't tell XD-"

"Don't tell XD what?" The last voice he wanted to hear spoke behind him.

"N-nothing!" Dream answered too quickly. "Everything's fine, I'm fine." He struggled to keep his voice level. For the life of him, his lips just wouldn't stop quivering.

"Dream. Don't lie to me. You know how I feel about that." They said, firm, unyielding, terrifying-

Dream's throat closed up. He couldn't respond even if he tried.

He heard the shift of robes, of feet finally touching the forest floor, of feathers brushing each other as wings flexed. The blob he held warmed in an effort to soothe his trembling.

"Stand up and face me, Dream."

Dream winced, face scrunching like he was ready to be struck. Slow and hesitant, he got to his feet, then turned. He refused to look up from the grass. XD's robe blending with the color of the ground was so much easier to focus on than what their reaction would be, especially after Dream heard their sharp intake of breath.

If he wasn't so afraid, maybe he'd wonder about the intentions of a god knowingly inhaling when they didn't require oxygen to survive.

"Child..." they began, much gentler than their previous tone, "what's the meaning of these tears? And where's your mask?" But in Dream's mind, they just sounded hurt, betrayed.

Without warning, the small mortal broke down in sobs. Clutching the blob, he wailed apologies and pleas of mercy. His shoulders shook, a leaf fighting against the strong winds of a hurricane. He knew he looked nothing like the fierce, confident prodigy he'd promised XD. The god saw him for what he really was. Just a scared little boy, totally unworthy of their power, of the coveted status being a Prodigy brought.

To his utter surprise and bewilderment, he felt the tender touch of fingers pulling back the edges of his hood and large hands cupping his face. Thumbs brushed away the rushing tears. Dream found himself frozen, staring into warm green eyes just like his.

XD smiled at him, kind and soft and... human. There was no disappointment, no anger, no frustration.

Dream didn't understand. He'd let them down. He showed his weakness. They could see it, plain and clear as the grass was green and the sky was blue, and yet...

"Y-you're not mad...?"

"Why would I be?" They tilted their head. It was strange, XD rarely went without their mask. Their freckles were like little galaxies, features too perfect to be true, but they could pass as his sibling. Another question for a time when Dream wasn't so confused.

"I, I got in trouble... There was a different teacher today and she," he hiccuped, tears returning full force at the memory, "she took my mask. I cried and e-everyone just laughed at me-" his voice cut out, overtaken by messy blubbering.

XD merely shushed him, dual sets of arms wrapping him in comfort and warmth as they tucked him under their chin. They whispered soft reassurances, tone the embodiment of thick blankets and fluffy pillows. Hands combed through his hair, rubbed circles into his back, held him close. Six wings folded around him, further shielding his form until Dream could truly believe they were the only ones in the world.

Exhaustion began to set in, eyelids growing heavy, and made infinitely worse by the melodic humming of his god. The grip he had on XD's robes gradually loosened, cries dying down.

"Rest now, my child. You've had a long day. We'll talk in the morning."

"Promise...?" Dream murmured after a moment of silence, teetering on the cusp of sleep.

"I promise."

With that, the young boy let himself fall into sweet slumber.

something cool happened yesterday

so there's this game, "Different Strokes" in which you: - go around drawing on empty paintings set up in an infinite art gallery, - find other people's works also lying around, - and if no one else has yet, you can add a second layer over top of someone else's to fix something, react to a prompt, add in little details to spice it up, or completely redraw the whole piece. but then that's it, it's your contribution and theirs locked in place together. (there's other stuff(?) but im new and haven't found it yet (??? lol))

genius concept, fell in love with the idea immediately, my friend told me about it FOUR MONTHS ago, but i was going through it and could not open the game for the life of me. until today yesterday.

i got in. i was walking aimlessly through the exhibits, bumbling deeper into the maze of them. and there, from across the room, i see this:

wow! the gorgeous, shiny swirlies draw me in, the minor oops in the mid-right-center where the bluegrey pierces the greenwhite tugs me, BEGS me to interact and give it some tlc (even though i was terrified of messing up someone's work before),

and as i was serenely paint-bucketing the bluegrey back to white

i had a vision

in a classic noob move i forgot to log in before working on this so by the time i was 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 hours in, there was no way to save the painting as edited by me :V

Relaxing with the Gods: Blob Dolls

DreamXD wants to show of his wonderful creation and gifts to GeorgeHD and Sapnap4K. Blob dolls crafted to look like them. He's just forgot to tell them that when the dolls are tickled, so are they.

Surprise fic, sorry. I spent two days saying to myself 'I wish I could write this' before realising I could. Also another into the Relaxing with the Gods series.

It's a short one but I hope you enjoy~

“There’s no way you made these! These are amazing!”

“I didn’t know you liked to craft things. They’re adorable, XD.”

DreamXD sat in GeorgeHD’s space in the Godly Realm, his chest puffed out and a proud smile over his lips as the two older Gods, GeorgeHD and Sapnap4K were looking over his creations and praising him.

It had taken a while for XD to make a blob doll of the two Gods. It was the first time he’d taken so long to craft a doll. He wanted it perfect to show off for his friends and it seemed he had made it so.

4K held the doll in his hand, keeping it carefully between his fingers. XD had made the God’s dolls slightly bigger than the ones he made for Dream or George, but they still looked tiny in 4K’s hands. 4K’s blob had two horns on the top of his head and a tail behind it. The Nether God was admiring the tail of the doll and grinning wildly.

HD’s doll was harder to design but XD thought he made it work, and from HD’s smile and coos it seemed he had. The two dot eyes on the doll were different colours, a yellow and a slightly off-white to match HD’s own. While the body was still all white, a few catches of the light would make the doll shimmer, similar to HD’s skin and his starry hair.

“I can’t believe you never told us you made dolls as a hobby.” HD commented. He was turning the doll in his hand, watching it shimmer and smiling as it did.

“Well… I don’t know about a hobby.” XD shrugged. “I do it on and off really.”

“You should make more! Look at these little guys.” 4K cooed. His finger was lifting the tail of the doll. “You even got my little fluffy tail end.”

“They’re very soft too.” HD added. While he held the doll in one hand, his other felt over the material of the doll. “What did you make them-”

HD’s words ended suddenly, like they caught in his throat with a gasp, and one of XD’s eyes focused over on him.

The doll was still held in HD’s hand, their other hand poised by the doll’s side. The God made slight twitch, as though something unexpected brushed along his side. XD had to bite his lip to hold back his smile. “What happened, HD?” He controlled his voice enough to ask.

“N-Nothing…” HD replied slowly. Their voice held just a little bit of a tell. A small breathy laugh under their words.

XD couldn’t hold back their smile. It worked.

“What’s wrong with you?” 4K raised his eyebrow, but while his focus was on HD, his finger was absent-mindedly making curls with the tail of his doll. He’d gotten to the end of the tail, attached to the doll, and his claw just caught onto the doll and swiped down the tail.

4K definitely felt it. XD could see the shiver travel up his spine, and his black tail whipped out behind him like it was trying to flick something away. He seemed to pause, unsure what had just happened but then his eyes widened.

“Did you get tickled?!” He asked HD excitedly.

“NO!” The older God snapped back. “It wasn’t…” He stopped mid-sentence and turned to XD, who just couldn’t keep the smile off his face. “XD. How did you-?”

HD’s words were cut off as he was tackled to the ground. For a big guy, 4K moved surprisingly fast. He was on top of HD in seconds and wrestling the doll out of the older God’s hands.

“NO!” HD screeched. “Get off me! STOP!”

In all of HD’s fairness he was doing well to keep it from 4K’s grasp, but all it took was one well placed jab right in HD’s outstretched ribs and the arm that held the doll fell easily into 4K’s hands.

As quick as 4K jumped him, he just as quickly jumped back, holding the doll in triumph for just a moment before he started tickling into the dolls side.

If XD had any doubt the dolls were working, now it was confirmed. HD switched from near lunging to 4K to crumbling on the ground, curling up and pleading through his sudden laughter.

“OHOHOHOHO GOHOHOHODS! F-F-FuhuhuHUHUHUCK! F-Fohohour KAAAAAHAHAY! S-S...STOHOHOHOP!”

“No way! It tickles you! XD actually made a doll that tickles people! No chance!” 4K almost bounced with his words. His tail wagged furiously as his claws skittered around the doll’s body, and he squealed with delight seeing HD react. The starry haired God twisted and turned as though the claws were on his own skin. His hands grasped at his sides, his ribs and his stomach but it could not stop the ghost tickles all over him.

HD had no rest from the onslaught of tickles from his poor doll. Finally 4K gave him a break, but only for a second as he stopped tickling the doll’s side and ran his claw over the bottom of it. The laughter became a high screech that fizzled out into little giggles. He curled his legs into himself, his hands trying to desperately cover over his feet for what little help it would do.

“Yohohou...stohohOHOP! Leave-Leave my fehehehehet alohohohone! EEP! G-Gehehet yohohour tahahail AWAY!”

Along with the claws skittering over the bottom of the doll, 4K brought his tail up and it’s fluffy end flicked over the doll’s side. “Do you feel my tail on your ribs? Or your sides?” 4K cooed. “While my nails tick-tick-tickle your feet.”

“S-SohoHOHOhop! Y-YoHoHOhOHOU!”

The tickling along his feet and the soft tickles were not enough keep HD helpless. While still kicking his feet and rubbing along his sides, an ephemeral hand popped up beside 4K. He was far too focused in tickling the doll and couldn’t stop the hand before it jabbed into his side and made a tickly beeline right for his ribs.

“NO!” 4K arched his back and turned and wriggled but the hand kept on it’s journey. It worked the Nether God down onto his side as it make it’s way for the ribs. 4K abandoned the doll to grab at the hand, or at least bat it away. Right as XD hoped.

When 4K jumped for HD’s doll he’d abandoned his own in his excitement, and XD quickly snatched it up and hid it away. Now HD’s doll was in his grasp as well.

The older Gods took a moment of calm, and to take in their situation. With the tickling stopped, HD called off the hand attacking 4K and both looked at each other with the same thought of ‘Who has the dolls?’ before looking over to XD. He now had both dolls in his hand. 4K in his right and HD in his left.

“X...XD…” HD’s voice came out carefully, like he was dealing with a dangerous wild animal.

“Don’t get any ideas…” 4K added.

Out the corner of XD’s vision he could see 4K tense, ready to pounce and he quickly struck first. His hands holding the dolls kneaded into their sides and his other hand tickled over the front of the dolls.

Both Gods were immediately floored.

“EHEX DEHEHEHE!” HD wheezed. He curled up and held onto his sides. “Whihihiy mehehehe agahahain!”

“Yohohohour dehehead, B-Blohohondie!” 4K tittered out between his giggles. He had fought the tickles more than HD had and XD worried he would reach him, but he crawled forward just a bit before falling and succumbing to the laughter. “Whehehen yohou stohohohop...yohohohour dehehead.”

Maybe he was. In fact, he definitely was. XD never doubted 4K’s taste for revenge, but he could fully say this was worth it, seeing the two Gods helplessly laughing and wiggling around to try and stop the ghostly tickles they were powerless to. Yes, this revenge just might kill him, but he’d revel in this moment for as long as he could.

Eggtober 30th 2023

"Mimicking the Master": Fried Egg on Magenta.

(Clip Studio Paint, Custom 6B Pencil brush. ? Colors. ? Time. A labor of love.)

Made a point of giving @quezify's style a serious try. Eggtober 1st, 2023 was a quick attempt to learn and practice for the most part. This was a combination of directly studying and experimenting. Eggtober 1st was more about "glance at the inspo, notice the vibes, make it your own." This was much more about "pay attention to what these techniques accomplish, try to copy the specific things you like, and then see if you can iterate."

I do still need more practice since I'm not used to this process but for a first, real, non-traced and non-direct study, (as in I wasn't trying to replicate a specific piece one-to-one) this went really well. Not 100% sure what I was going for with some of my choices, but the over-all impact has a lot of what I love about @quezify's style.

3rd Egg I did for the day. Queued for the 30th so I have time to plan the 31st. Not sure what it will be but I'm looking forward to it.

I hope @lady-quen's breadbugs love this stylized eggy!

And even though he's been tagged twice, one more ding for @quezify, inimitable, even while I study that style. The master of eggs. I've loved watching your work all month and I loved taking a crack (pun intended) at actually pegging down what you're doing. You're fucking amazing, Ruben. One last egg for the month! We can do it, bud!

But first, speedpaint.

You can tell I'm really not used to using brushes that are so opaque. I gotta practice doing gradients with opaque brushes like this. Or maybe I need to turn down the opacity on the pencil brush. Or maybe I need to blend my style and Ruben's a bit more?

Whatever it is. I'm somewhere short of where I want to be in terms of a style mimic. Not that I want to steal @quezify's style per se, though it is rad as fuck. More that knowing how it works and what this method of drawing produces is a useful tool to have. After all, half of art is inventing stuff and the other half is aping stuff you like, whether that's real world references or copying from masters. So I might need a little more practice, but the blob-tacular shading and the hatching and the use of shapes as texture are all definitely tools that are going in the tool bag one of these days. XD

Wolf Lineart: Upgraded

Soooo... a friend @sinspark4 got me into playing this wolf game, and one of the cool things you can do is make custom gear for the game if you have a premium account.

And... they have some GORGEOUS Artwork for their wolf bases.

And... and then they have The Female Beta Pose.

The Beta Female pose. Like by itself it's pretty nifty like DAMN. COOL. But... BUT WHEN COMPARED TO THE OTHERS, IT'S SO SAD.

Sooooo... After my friend and I were talking about the art and blah blah i somehow got it in my head that i could try to Make It Better.

So I did!

Behold, the art I spent Way Too Many Fucking Hours On as a dual gift for my friend, a gift to the game's playerbase, and fulfilling my own personal desire to the wolves to all be equally badass XD

Heh... I had to remove the rock I put in there that was hiding this crappy little blob. The original shadow of this wolf was. just. fuckin'. You could see the artist just used a single round soft brush and did a dot and one line and then called it a day unlike how they blended the beautiful alpha shadows REEEE. Anyhow, i just had to suffer with the silly dot. Fortunately, it doesn't show up on most backgrounds in the game.

Omega Female:

Honestly, this one's my favorite :'D

My ✨Creative Process💫 for Character Design

So a little heads up about this process. This shit took WAAAY longer than I usually take. However, my partner said I should post my process because it was honestly a good example of how to persevere when creativity is difficult or you aren't quite creating the character you intended.

FIRST: Capturing the Vibe

drawing notes: so this character was inspired by GinjaNinjaOwO on youtube. They made an OC that was 100% self indulgent and i wanted to do that same. So i started with the concept of a van helsing type of character mashed together with a mysterious masked hero and a noir style tortured detective. I have a wide range in favorite characters. The one consistency?? They are all probably alcoholics. i had my work cut out for me 😱

(ps. i know i spelled it silas and not cilas at first. I didnt want my characters to share first letters of their names. i dont know why that is it just is important to me.)

drawing notes: This drawing is good but its very bland and doesn't capture the unhinged weathered alcoholic i was trying to create. It doesn't have the emotion I was trying to convey. However, I like the body type, hat and long coat so I will be trying to keep those elements as i go.

drawing notes: Im happy i kept the coat and hat but the body type isnt translating the way i wanted now that he has body armor. The face and legs have way too much detail on them and need to be simplified for a more readable design. I was trying to combine the ideas of masked outlaw monster hunter with a noir style tortured detective.

FOURTH: FINALLLLYYY A GOOD IDEAAAA 😭😇😅

he honestly started coming together at this phase

i took pictures of all the characters i wanted Cilas to resemble and paste-ed them on their own layer to stare at while i brain stormed

then i used my powers of autism to see the pattern in the character tropes

i used the patterns i saw to create a clothings style, body type and stature

some of the ideas i had for him i split off into an unfinished character that i will post at a later date

drawing notes: he looks... a like arin hanson 😳 oops. well i do love arin hanson so i guess im not mad about it. i love his coat and im so glad i could keep the hat. i am a little frustrated that some of the elements had to split off into a different character but i think it was worth it in the end because i love how he came out. he is still fat but its a lot more hidden by the amount of layers he wears. some of the characters i used were meant for personality, some for vibes and some for appearances.

drawing notes: his color pallet is very muted primary colors with more emphasis on yellow and blue to communicate that despite his hard life he is still calm and prepared.

anyway. this was hard. i enjoy cilas tho. he is my favorite alcoholic monster hunter 😌
