Hi, it's me, the author of the fucked everything au post, this one
I wanted to add some things, feel free to make your additions
-Sherlock is a firm believer in the Doctor, but he think Crowley is the Doctor, just disguised. He tried to nonchilantly pull his "red wig" from his head. (He has never run into the Doctor for some reason)
-Morpheus and Crowley talk shit about Lucifer when they're drunk.
-Watson and Wilson have a bet on whose partner will break the most law in a week. They're always very close wins.
-Dirk Gently and Aziraphale have become great friends, they take tea together every Thursday and they talk about all sort of stuff. Aziraphale finds Dirk captivating in his weirdness, he thinks he is a very interesting human.
-Scooby Doo is afraid of Dog (Adam's dog)
-Gregory House thinks paralibulites is made up, he steals a couple of Todd's pills to analyse them and see if they're like allucinogens but they're not. He forms an alliance with Sherlock to find out what the fuck is there in those pills.
-James Bond can imitate Benoit perfectly but Benoit can't imitate James, he can't get rid of the accent. Q finds James's impressions very amusing.
-Aziraphale and Philip talks about sweet recipes, they also exchange culinary creations, but, while Philip actually makes them, Aziraphale miracles them because he is shit at cooking. Philip always tells him that he is such a great baker and he feels like a beginner compared to him, Aziraphale smiles patting his arm and saying practice makes perfect. When Philip starts asking for details on how to make the perfect sponge cake or a mousse that won't melt, Aziraphale just miracles someone calling him because oh boy he doesn't know the first thing Philip is talking about.
-Both Sherlock and House tried to get Shaggy to sell them marijuana, unsuccessfully.
-Crowley loves to hear House going on and on about how God doesn't exist. It's hilarious for him. He has to physically stop himself from laughing. He pretends to agree with him.
-Dirk is the only one not fazed about Scooby Doo being a talking dog. When Crowley and Aziraphale are weirded out. They're trying to remember if it's one of their old miracles.
-Ascots were invented by Crowley, because they're simply an insult to style, and also he knew Aziraphale would have loved them. He is proud to see Benoit and Fred wearing them, they release a small but effective amount of evil into the world.
-I saw a post on Tumblr, I don't remember by who, that said if Benoit Blanc is with Hugh Grant it means at some point he had to choose between him and Colin Firth, you know, like in Bridget Jones Diary. This is now canon for me. Philip won Benoit Blanc's heart over Colin Firth and Philip hates talking about Colin, the idea that he could lose Benoit over him is just terrible to remember. Also Colin isn't really called Colin his name is Harry Bright. You were fools if you thought I'd leave Mamma Mia out of this.
-Dirk has heard Matthew the raven talk and Scooby Doo talk and now he is convinced he can talk to animals, that's a skill the universe granted him.
-Benoit Blanc and Aziraphale talk about fashion, obviously.
-If Q and Newton Pulsifer ever met all the computers in the world would explode.
-Also here's a small fic I read some time ago that I really love (and it's a House/Good Omens crossover) on how House and Wilson are alive and well in this au
-Dirk actually somewhat counts amongst the supernatural individuals so Crowley and Aziraphale and Dream and Hob started inviting him and Todd to their dinners. The point is Dirk and Todd haven't understood Ineffable Husbands and Dremling are supernatural individuals yet and they just think they're very eccentric folks.
-Dirk stole Crowley's Bentley once because The UniverseTM and Crowley has been trying to kill him ever since, but the Universe won't let Dirk die. This does not interfer with the Supernatural Dinners Aziraphale insists on hosting and the angel made him promise he won't try to kill Dirk at their house.
-He tries not show, but Sherlock is feeling the competitions with all of these other private detectives showing up. Especially Dirk, because he has no idea how they guy does since he looks like an idiot but he is always on top of the cases.
-Aziraphale unsuccessfully tries to buy the old medicine book Wilson gifted house for Christmas.
-Lestrade tried to stop the Scooby Doo Gang from interfering with a police case but ended up talking about cars with Fred and just...forgot he was supposed to stop these guys. He opted for closing an eye. It wasn't even his division, anyway.
-Q and Mycroft have been trying for years to obtain information on Hob Gadling, Aziraphale, Crowley and Morpheus at MI6 because, like, they're weird. They all come from families in which people always had roughly the same name for some reasons, their documents seem legit but there's something wrong about them. Also why is Crowley financing a witch hunting agency. Like yes he looks weird but not let's hunt witches in 2022 weird.
Dirk: "Your name is Sherlock? I have a friend named Sherlock!"
Sherlock: "It's not a very common name."
Dirk: "His name is Sherlock Hobbs."
Sherlock: "...Interesting."
Todd: "So you're like...you're Sherlock...and Watson."
Watson: "There are our names, yes."
Todd: "But, like, just like... Sherlock and Watson?"
Watson: "Yes. Again, these are our names."
-Benoit and Philip are very proud of Fred, they're only worried about his well being always travelling and having to deal with bad guys (especially Philip, he's scared for his sonđŸ„ș), but luckily Q installed a tracking device in the Mystery Machine
-Sherlock is secretly fond of Steve McQueen the rat and will go to House's house (my God what did I write) just to pet it. House allows it.
-Sometimes Sherlock and House play together, violion and piano. They found out they have more in common than they'd like to admit and that they enjoy eachothers company, even if they'll never say it out loud.
-(btw I think it was @thesaltofcarthage to headcanon that House is Sherlock's biological father and yes it's far fetched but also I am not opposed to this at all, I like it a lot, I vibe with it so I leave this here and give her the due credits).
-The Them ask Morpheus if he is a new Horseman of the Apocalypse. Morpheus simply smiles at them and then tells Adam "My sister likes you" before going his way.
-Aziraphale dislikes Mycroft a lot because may I remind you Mark Gatiss played one of the two Nazis in the church who played Aziraphale for a fool with the book deal. The rest you know yada yada yada Crowley comes to the rescue.
-House often dreams of Fiddler's Green since he is played by Stephen Fry and he and Hugh Laurie are very close friends.
-I like to think Shaggy actually is an failed attempt at an Antichrist that didn't work out and yes he is...someway Lucifer's son. And kind of Adam's brother. But he doesn't know. Also Scooby Doo is an infernal hound like of course. And Shaggy wished for Scooby Doo to be his best friend and like food and be as scared as him of horror stuff so there you have it.
-Aziraphale knows Wilson. He knew John Keating, great professor, and he went to visit him at Welton Academy once. He remember Wilson when he was young, talentex actor, shame he went for medicine in the end, he could really have a future in the arts. Wilson tells himself his mind is playing tricks on him, the weird man he saw with Mr Keating once must be dead at this time.
Last thing I wanna add I didn't expect this whole everything-I've-ever-watched-au to resonate with people and I am happy you like it, I have fun writing but it's even better to share it with someone, please keep adding ideas and crossovers to this. All the comments and reblogs I had under my last posts were brilliant and all together we make a big brain of mind-blowing ideas.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Thank you for the tag, @sawymredfox!!!
1. how many works do you have on AO3?
21
2. what’s your total AO3 word count?
1,032,269. When you throw in the Tumblr only stuff I think I'm closer to 1.2 million overall.
3. what fandoms do you write for?
Pedro Pascal fandom, mostly TLOU! But I'd love to spend some time with Poe Dameron, my beloved, so I might dive into Star Wars beyond Mando at some point :)
4. top five fics by kudos
I'm really not sure on Tumblr? Individual chapters don't get as much attention and I don't write many one shots, my highest single post on Tumblr is probably a one shot but I have NO CLUE which one!
On AO3:
Lavender
Beskar Doll
Yearling
New in Town
Lavender No Outbreak AU
5. do you respond to comments?
I used to be so much better about doing this and I've just not been keeping up with it lately. I want to get back to it! I LOVE getting comments, they make me so happy! Part of my issue is I read them immediately even if I don't have time to respond and I'm like "I'll respond when I post the next chapter" and then I post the next chapter super late at night and I'm so tired and I'm just like "I'll reply later" and then I never do.
ANYWAY! I want to get back to replying to comments because I love them. I used to reply to every one. Less now.
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably Proof of Life, an angsty as hell QZ!Joel era one shot. I traffic in angst but I like my happy endings, especially for long fics :)
7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Lavender I think. After all that angst, they got the life they wanted and saved the world. Not too shabby.
8. do you get hate on fics?
I haven't really! I've had a few people disagree with directions I took characters or plot lines and a few people send asks that didn't feel so nice but I'm not sure they were intended to not be nice. I try to not take those things personally. But everyone as been exceedingly kind, probably kinder than I deserve!
9. do you write smut?
I do but I feel like it's my weakest area. If you're looking primarily for smut and reading my stuff, you're probably in the wrong place, I'm sorry! I wish I was better at it! I feel like I'm getting better at it. But alas!
10. craziest crossover?
I haven't written any and I haven't really read any, either. Closest thing I came to a crossover I think is tying the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy of Star Wars into Doll's history in Beskar Doll.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
None so far!
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
Not shared anywhere but I do have commenters in other languages tell me they've put my fic into Google Translate to read it! I think that's immensely cool .
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
I haven't but I'd be open to it!
14. all time favorite ship?
Of characters that actually exist in canon? Probably Han Solo and Leia Organa. I LOVE them. Love love love love LOVE them. The "I love you" "I know" in Empire followed by the reversal in Jedi? TO DIE FOR.
15. what’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
As far as fics go? None. I have the stories so thoroughly planned there I'm compelled to finish them, I can't help it. I wasn't always this thorough of a planner, though, and I have so many books that I've started and written like 40k words of that I'll probably never finish. That breaks my heart a little. All these characters who won't get to live their whole lives because I can't get their stories across the finish line. But I'm not sure I have enough hours left in the rest of my life to tell every story I've got inside me so it'll have to be what it will be!
16. what are your writing strengths?
Dialogue.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
Everything else lol especially smut. I feel like my descriptions are often lacking, too.
18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?
Yes please! As long as the author can do it right (either because they know the language enough or get help from someone who does - the translate tools just aren't great at grammar and it takes me out if it's a language I know.)
19. first fandom you wrote in?
The Pedro fandom! Specifically, the Mandalorian. Beskar Doll, my first baby <3
20. favorite fic you’ve written?
Probably Lavender? Maybe Yearling. It's so hard to say! I'm probably the most attached to Doc and Joel, though.
NP tags: @dancingtotuyo @beardedjoel @ramblers-lets-get-ramblin @netherfeildren and anyone else who wants to play!

I don't want to start discourse or anything, because I like you all very much and I don't want to fight, but I just want to gently suggest that some of you are taking the idea of keeping fanfiction private a bit too far. I know we've had some issues with people reading fanfic for malicious purposes, which understandably makes people upset and makes them want to keep their fic locked down (and you absolutely should do that if you want to! I've done it myself!) but we should also be mindful of the fact that just because tumblr has a very high percentage of fandom people, that doesn't mean it's the only place fandom exists or is allowed to exist.
It's not possible to keep everything you do exclusive to your tumblr mutuals, and tumblr isn't the only valid place to share fic. There are large fandom presences on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Tiktok, etc., and those people are going to be talking about and sharing fic with each other no matter what you do. I guarantee there are many people who have read your fic who came to it through some other website, and that's not only fine, it's good. Every single one of us here found our way to tumblr and/or to fanfiction through some other site; that's how fandoms grow and get new people, which is what we want! Some of the best writers in this fandom got here after I did, and many of them found their way here from somewhere else.
Again, I realize that people have valid concerns that are rooted in bad experiences, and the way you combat that is by archive locking your fic. But that is your own personal prerogative and a way you can protect yourself. It's everyone's own decision, and people who don't do it aren't hurting anyone or doing anything wrong. The only thing we shouldn't be doing is actively showing fanfiction to anyone who is in the fic, or showing it to malicious people who want to dunk on it. But different people have different comfort levels with who their fic will be available to, and that's okay. I personally would never have found my way to tumblr or AO3 if it weren't for the unlocked RPF I found through other writing forums.
Anyway, like I said, I'm not wanting to start a fight and I respect where everyone is coming from on this, but I just wanted to offer up a different perspective, because I'd hate for anyone to feel bad about something that's really just a cultural difference or a matter of opinion. Just some food for thought. <3

Shipper Tag Game
Tagged by @lucientelrunya Thank you friend!
What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care about anymore?
Oh gosh it's been so long since I was a teenager. And there have been so many. It's less that I don't care and more that just, the obsession has faded and I don't actively ship them any more. Most of my old ships, I do still like, and under the right circumstances, I might be able to spark an interest again. Let's see, some things I was really into as a teenager...Buffy/Angel...Kunzite/Zoicite (Sailor Moon)...Zechs/Noin (Gundam Wing)...probably more, but those are the ones that stick out as being like super-ships for me.
2. Which ship would you consider your first one?
Mulder/Scully. I shipped them before I even knew what shipping was.
3. Your first fanfic was about which couple?
That I wrote? And actually published somewhere? ExR Les Mis fic.
4. Do you remember the first couple you saw fanart of?
Not really but it was probably something from Sailor Moon.
5. Have you ever gotten into ship discourse?
Nah, ship and let ship.
6. Did you use to have any NOTP or have one currently?
I have had them before and I have them now. In the interest of not hating on things I know other people like, I won't name them.
7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?
I read a Gong Shangjue/Gong Yuanzhi drabble while I was scrolling on tumblr yesterday. It's not really one of my current ships but it was a good little drabble!
8. Currently, do you have any OTPs?
RiSang my beloved!
9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?
I've been thinking about this question since I read through @lucientelrunya's answers, because I KNOW I had one but now I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Like these two people were so perfect for each other and it didn't happen and I remember being livid about it, but I guess I've since blocked it from my memory.
Also, not really "not getting together" but I'm mad that John Grey/Percy Wainright didn't get BACK together in Outlander. :|
10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?
Nothing I can think of off the top of my head.
11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, would've been considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?
I guess some of my ships from The Fandom Which Must Not Be Named would fit. Author sucks, but I do still like the characters/ship.
12. What is your favorite crack ship?
Changheng/Dongfang Xunfeng (LBFAD). Don't ask. I think I'm the only one here. It came to me in a dream once and now I kind of ship it.
13. What is the couple you read the most fanfics about?
Uhhhh...I'd say probably Zechs/Noin from Gundam Wing. I read a LOT of GW fanfic back in the day. Like. A Lot. Like everything that existed on ff.n with that pairing. Because we didn't have AO3 back then. Weilan (Guardian) is probably a close second.
14. What do most of your ships usually have in common?
ANGST. Seriously I'm not sure what it is but I have had a ton of immortal/mortal ships, which will, in most cases, inevitably end in tears.
15. What you absolutely hate in a ship?
Lack of communication. The number of times I've actually yelled at my screen because of relationship drama that could have easily been avoided by having one simple conversation is...too high to count.
I tag: @merinnan @amidalogicdive @hils79 aand whoever else wants to play.

Not siding with enstars-gatekeeper, but I do see the point they're trying to make tbh. Nobody likes ooc stuff in any fandom community really and it is sad that like enstars-gatekeeper said that writers will get spam hate on their work for being ooc (it's more ao3 they were referring to I think as haven't seen it much on tumblr) and that's why fanfic writing is scary for some ig?
Again, I'm not siding with enstars-gatekeeper ofc but I agree with what they said about other communities acting that way towards writers but I certainly don't want Enstars to go down that way (honestly I thought there'd be more like gatekeeper with the likes of ES! not having an official English translation and how most lore apparently is shown in those stories, wouldn't know though as I've never read any).
What I never get though is why readers like that exist? Like isn't fanfiction supposed to be self indulgent and about having fun, not trying to basically extend what there is of canon content? Is it even possible to be 100% true to canon when writing considering fic writers aren't the creators of the source material?
I've been wanting to write fics myself but all the fandoms I'm in are like that and hate ooc fics. My main fixation is Enstars anyway and even tho I've been playing a while now, because I haven't read ES! I'm scared that I don't fully understand the characters now cause with the way some people, like gatekeeper, go on about it I'm under the impression that anything in ES!! isn't as accurate or I mean maybe as informative as ES! stories are and that I'd get a while new character basically if I read ES! (Its probably not that drastic but everyone is acting like it is so yeah)
Sorry if I'm venting by the way, seeing people like gatekeeper just annoy me as I wish no community had those "fans" 😅
Annoyance with OOC is understandable, but. Well. Exit the fic if it annoys you, you know? Out of all the (actually!) gross things that happens with fancreators, sending someone anon hate for writing smth OOC or writing a serial killer AU is just lame imo
That person said they wish more writers got anon hate for writing OOC, which is horrible, btw. Idc, if you wanna send someone abuse because they just misunderstood a character, that's loser behaviour. It's pathetic and it makes you a bully.
But you're right, as a fanfic writer, nothing I write will come close to canon-compliant. I can imitate canon and guesstimate what could be canon, but purely on account of "I don't work at happyele", everything I write today that "makes sense" could be contradicted by a future event. Hell, when this shuffle event comes out, they could reveal smth ab Shu that I never thought ab and that would render all my fics about him "OOC", that's just how it works with writing for ongoing media. It's why I don't like writing for ongoing media, but, alas, enstars is probably gonna outlive me at this point.
And yeah, fanfic is supposed to just be self-indulgent fun. Of course I believe certain topics should not be written about in fanfiction, especially if they're written in a romanticised way or a way meant to make certain immoral behaviour acceptable (as an example: the difference between writing yandere as horror vs as something romantic), but. Writing a character as OOC is just such a mild "misdemeanor". I don't like it, giving new fans and new writers grief over it.
I hope you'll feel comfortable to write in the future, I love seeing new writers and creators in general, especially considering the enstars fandom is small on tumblr. It really is just gatekeeper who's throwing us off tbh. ! is only "better" bc it's larger, it ran, like, 5 years or so? And !! has been running for 2, so it has a lot more content, yes, but I don't think it's that bad. The characters changed and evolved (a joy of enstars), and writing a character based on their ! characterisation would still end up as OOC unless you're writing them in the ! setting. Writing a character in the !! as you know them in !! should be fine, I believe. Like, ! might be good info to have for the subtleties, but most of what I know from ! are things I never explicitly mention, just weave through their characterisation. Making a character like Mika avoid eye contact when nervous isn't a big deal at all - but it's my way of saying, "It's hard to get rid of old habits, especially of ones so ingrained in a person. Even if he's learning to love himself, he still kept the habit of hiding the eyes he grew up hating when he feels threatened".
At the end of the day, fandom drama is childish. Fandom drama that starts because someone hates "OOC fics" (of all the things) is even more childish. It's really not hard to exit a fic you don't like. It's more effort to type up hate for it.

20 Questions for Writers
@elvain my beloved tagged me, so here i am, once again—
my brain is empty in terms of who to tag, so please friends, lovers and co-conspirators, if you want to do this, consider yourself tagged.
answers under the read more <3
1. How many works do you have on AO3? Not many, actually. 11, and none of them from active fandoms. I do have one original piece published there, that I'm extremely proud of, tho.
Before becoming active in the Tolkien fandom again, I posted most of my fic directly in tumblr, like a beast. I also have a lot of unpublished fic.
2. What's your total AO3 word count? I think 30k aprox
3. What fandoms do you write for? Tolkien + dragon age
Used to write a lot of 00Q, The Arcana and Les Misérables.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? My love, like flowers; I'd be home with you; And then I met you (we walk this road); A little closer to the edge; Bury me with the desert flowers
None of them for active fandoms, all of them for fandoms that give me war flashbacks, but no love is ever wasted so: a) if you like The Arcana go nuts, and b) bc my OCs from the last two are getting their own original thing >:)
5. Do you respond to comments? I try to
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? It's not the ending per se, but the first half of my half original, half dragon age fic WIP "The Song of Dirthalath" has some heavy hitters. It technically begins with the ending and it does not get better from there.
For me, one of the heaviest parts to write was "God of Bitter Things" — it deals with substance abuse as a form of self medication, unrequited love, misunderstandings, enemies to lovers only your enemy is a fucking God, parental abuse, falling out of a window and crumbling in front of your best friend's dad because you think you're a hideous, reprehensible person who loves someone who hates them and loves to hurt yourself with it.
Second comes "Resurrection No. 1", also from SOD, where, I quote:
Dirthamen knew it, as he knew what came after. In vain he tried to reach him, instead he demanded him not to touch me. "Why do you always have to do this?" It was not what he meant to say, but it was what he meant to anyway. "Because I hate myself!" The elf wearing Quenath's face yelled. "I died that day! I died. I was standing in the middle of my parents' fucking parlour with nothing but broken ribs— and— and— and that Declaration of Disownment and they let me believe you abandoned. I said not to touch me. "I always knew you hated me. I always knew you would never love me like I loved you, and that was okay by me. I didn't want you to love me, I didn't know how to tell you, and I'm used to it. I'm used to being discarded and berated for having the audacity to exist, breathe and think differently than I should. I hate myself so much I wish I didn't exist sometimes, and I loved you more than anything. All I ever wanted was to be a scholar and you ruined it for me. You humiliated me, just like my parents did. And you abandoned my best friend!" "I can live with you hating me, I can live thinking you knew, O Serene and Mighty God of Secrets and decided to ignore it and hurt me with it regardless, but what I do not understand is what do you want from me, chasing me around as an ill omen of everything I've ruined for myself and everything I left behind that I didn't, and I can live with you abandoning me but why did you abandon Kaleya?" Not a thing moved, not an atom changed. The only thing Dirthamen could hear was the hyperventilated sobbing of a person who now had no right to a name. It was the laws of his Father, it was the rules he himself thought appropriate to Piety — betrayers, traitors and those worthy of being severed from their Kin as a punishment for their own impiety were not worthy of being recorded in history. "Q—" the God of Knowledge, Family and Secrets stopped himself, and for the first time, he begged: "Please, please tell me how to call you."
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? PLEASE READ MY AO3 PUBLISHED ORIGINAL PIECE A WORSHIP SONG OF OLD, JUST PLEASE READ IT
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not directly lmao, but I was in a server with someone who passive aggressively dissed my OC Anatole and in retrospective, it's hilarious as all shit.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do. It's gay and insane because I'm touch starved and my OCs live in kinkland.
10. Do you write crossovers? Nope.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? No that I know of
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I've translated fics, in the days of yore
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I am constantly co-writing, just not for Tolkien
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? All my all-time brain eating ships are OC x OC 😔
But! All the ships I've shipped for the longest all come from Tolkien.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Listen, if I don't finish it, I'll reuse it. Nothing is ever wasted here
16. What are your writing strengths? I think pacing. Not just in events but in the way I write. I'm very comfortable writing dialogue too.
Non-fic exclusive though, it's world-building and social constellations. Society to me is very much a web, and it is integral to my writing to integrate this. Characters are shaped by the societies they live in and I am very conscious to include that to the best of my ability.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Consistency and planning.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Babes, lmao babes, my fics have footnotes. Go ape.
Seriously tho, question 16 all over again. Language shapes you so much. Go ape. It's a great excuse to learn about another language.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Tolkien!! When I was in 5th grade.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Once again: Worship Song Of Old.

Just for a little vent? Idk I just want to get this of my chest. Nostalgia hit me like a bitch ngl.
So let's start from the beginning, where I'm in a dilemma where should I download mobile legends again or not. I saw few edits and montages of the gameplay in reels, at first I think it's neat and all but then I want to play it again, and then I saw few of my friends play it so now my desire to return to the game is getting stronger. It takes me a couple days to finally download the game again. But even so, I don't play it as often as unite do, one main thing why I despise the game is how toxic the player is they're extremely racist if you suck and don't forget how they wish your parents d word that's why I hate it, but since the game offer to mute the chat so I always mute it right before I play. Now let's jump why I made this post.
Like a normal person I do, the first thing when I'm done downloading the game is to search any works regarding my ship (idk if I'm clear enough to tell you guys on the previous paragraph, but I'm a returning Player, so yes I've been playing this game before). So I went to ao3 to search it. As expected they did have the content I want, but it so little that I'm not satisfied with just a bunch of oneshot fanfic, like no there's only 14 works total in ao3 and then I search on my trusty app.
Tumblr. this app has most of the content I want in previous fandom so that means they have it too right? Right??? Wrong! There's barely any fanfic about mlbb in here, even lesser than ao3, so I tried to search other platform to get some fanfic and my brain suggest quotev, so then I went to that web. only to see there's only three fanfiction in there. Desperate, I went to character ai to chat with my favorite characters which is hard because some of them are not exist or made yet (they didn't have zilong tf??) So I choose other characters, at least they exist, though their ai kinda shit. Eh I take what I've got.
Oh yes Wattpad, no I don't really struggled in there since I only search my old reading list. I'm on re-read in there not really satisfied but hey nostalgia :D
Oh talking about nostalgia, I really miss old mlbb when toxic teammates is barely seen in there, yes some are exist but they're shitting on my gameplay it's better than now, today's player outright being racist. Like bro getting a shitty teammates doesn't justify that, I'd pretty much prefer to be called blind, dog, etc rather than that.
Other nostalgia I really missed, is When I read truth or dare mlbb fic, or aluzi fic. those are the days when I see these characters chill and talk like close friends and completely Ignoring their canonical lore, it's just fun, but now most of the author quit ml and I'm sad that I'm now alone with no new stories to enjoy. Ah what a day

How did you come up with the hels story?
So there is a fic on AO3 Still Can't Shut The Closet Door by bananasofthorns and there is another fic that I thought was by betweenlands , but I just scrolled through their blog and couldn't find it - about Wels leaving season 8, while Hels sits in the shuttle with him, mocking the fact that he's running away. [I know theminecraftbee made a follow-up fic to it... Maybe they made the first one too sjdjfh I need to get better at bookmarking things].
I had Tumblr-osmosis'd enough about Hels to know he existed by the time I read those, but still knew next to nothing about him outside of "probably riding the post darkiplier/anticepticeye wave", so reading this really interesting take on a dark mirror character as something akin to intrusive thoughts, not entirely real but still incredibly physical, was really really cool to me. And then that sat in the back of my head for a couple months slow-burning.
Converging on this I've also been trying really hard to lower my personal standards on writing. Previously most ideas I had never made it to text, because if I couldn't polish it into a long fic or something I deemed high enough quality to throw on AO3 standalone, I'd just drop it. But I've been trying to change that, because that was more creativity stifling than anything else. So I've started just opening the Tumblr app and word-vomitting my quick ideas to see what happens.
That was the first Wels / Hels fic, with Wels in the cave talking to his double in the dark. I was really leaning on the idea of a double who's so tightly bound in whatever Wels is that they can feel each other's emotions. Very soulmate-ish. And it turns Hels into something less like intrusive thoughts and more like a personal thundercloud. He's weather in the fact that he kind of just happens, and he follows his own logic, and that logic is mostly "I have what I consider rational reasons for hating Wels." Because at the time I was also kicking around the fact that if current fanon likes the idea of Hels as intrusive thoughts, has anyone ever done anything with the fact that intrusive thoughts, for all their badness, always feel painfully rational when you have them. Even intrusive thoughts about self harm, logically you can think "I know what x neurological problem is, I know this is a symptom of that," and still think it makes total sense that you're doing whatever you're doing. It's not until you're no longer under that influence that you can look back and go, "Woah shit, that was kinda messed up, huh?"
So I took that concept and I shoved it in a quick fic. And I left the fic pretty open ended in case I wanted to kick it around some more. There's a lot of implied things [hels can go between dimensions. Hels and Wels can feel each others' emotions, sometimes so intensely it has a physical effect, Hels exists but only his effects are really witnessed by other people, etc]. And then when I posted it, and other people started talking about those things I'd hinted at but had no plans for, I kept thinking about those things, and I got more ideas about them. Now it's kinda snowballed. I get to chase threads where I find them. Maybe the hermits and helsmits are two halves of a whole, and at some point those halves have to rejoin? Maybe Helsknight hates Welsknight so much because he feels self righteous as a knight, and he thinks Wels is a mockery of knighthood? Maybe that feeling is mutual? Maybe only some hermits have helsmets, and maybe those hels don't manifest the same way every time. Maybe The Red King could be a hels, or human!Cleo. Maybe the hels don't think they're the hels at all. Maybe they're incredibly aware they are, and that their days are numbered. What does that do to someone, to live your entire life knowing you weren't supposed to exist, not in a creation vs evolution existential way, but in the sense that you were made of someone's issues, and when they rectify those issues and move past them you no longer have a personhood? Do you fight it and become your own person, or do you submit to what you believe is the natural course of the universe?
To be honest! I've just been having a lot of fun with how much it all evolves, and how informed it is by other people yelling in the tags about little ideas I threw in flippantly that could have really interesting implications if you followed the thread a little further. That's kinda just the fun thing about fandom in general, and something this little snippet-on-tumblr style has really facilitated? The idea that an idea can start as one thing and dramatically snowball into a dozen others because no idea exists in a vacuum and you're allowed to be inspired by everything. It's a lot of fun! It's like playing in a sandbox, or really, like playing in Minecraft. You don't know what you don't know until someone else does, and suddenly a while new world has opened up to you, like learning you can use stairs to build a roof for the first time.

Hi India!
First I want to say that I absolutely love ‘our lives, non-fiction’ it’s one of my favourite fics!
One of the reasons why I love it so much is because of all the discussions about writing. You did a great job on pointing out two different sides and I always go back to your fic when I need motivation for my own writing:)
Now because of this I got curious about your opinion:)
I just had a discussion with someone the other day. We talked about Fanfiction and while she didn’t judge me for reading it directly she also could understand why other people are judging or don’t like it, especially those people who are in the fanfics or the authors who own the characters of the fics.
Her point ‘She could understand that an author doesn’t want other people to use his characters because they will write them OOC even if it’s unintentional because the original author is the only one who knows everything about them. Or with real people like HL she could understand that they don’t like authors using their body and personality for their fics and fantasies.’
I didn’t have a lot of discussions about this and I’m not informed enough to argument against it, just enjoyed it till now and didn’t thought a lot about it.
But I had to think of your fic and the discussions in it and got curious. What is your opinion about this?
Hi love! 💕
First of all, thank you very much for the compliment! I’m so glad OLNF resonates with you, that the discussions have interested you, and that it somehow contributes to your own creativity. I think that’s more than any writer can ever ask of their work, and it warms my heart to know that I’ve given that to you, even by some small measure. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 😘
Secondly, I’m flattered that you want to hear my opinion, but given that so many others before me have discussed this topic with more eloquence and knowledge than I ever could, I hope you’ll forgive me for sticking to two, simplified arguments (otherwise this would get way too long).
Let’s start with the first part of your friend’s opinion:
“She could understand that an author doesn’t want other people to use his characters because they’ll write them OOC even unintentionally because the original author is the only one who knows everything about them.”
There’s a very well-written response to that, that I could not say better myself, so I’m going to quote the LJ/tumblr post (you should absolutely read the whole thing, btw):
“Dear AotW. Fanfic is not about you. Fanfic is not about you. Fanfic is not about you.
I know you hate to hear it, dear AotW, but the story is not defined by the barriers you place around it. The moment you gave it to us, those walls broke. You may hate the fact people are imagining more to your story than what you put there. But if I were you, I'd be grateful that I got the chance to create a story that has a culture around it, a story that people want to keep talking about, reworking, remixing, living in, fantasizing about, thinking about, writing about. To quote Originalaudience on the post in question, "Nobody is forgetting that you created the characters. The existence of fanfiction really means that nobody is forgetting the characters you created."”
- I’m done explaining why fanfic is okay by Aja Romano
The thing about art is, you, as a creator, can’t put something out into the world and expect people to consume it on your terms and your terms alone. That was never, is not, and will never be the way that art works — nor should it be the intention when you create anything “original”.
You would never, for example, ask someone to stop covering a song because only the original artist truly understands the intention of the song. You would never ask a pianist not to play Beethoven’s Fifth because they are not Beethoven. You would never tell painters to stop painting their renditions of Starry Starry Night, or say the making of Ten Things I Hate About You (Taming of the Shrew AU), She’s the Man (Twelfth Night AU), Clueless (Emma AU) or Greta Gerwig’s Little Women (where Amy March was given so much depth simply because of Florence Pugh’s unique portrayal of the character) were an insult to their original authors.
So, why should fanfic be any different? Because it’s written by amateurs who don’t have big Hollywood budgets to validate their creative efforts? Because there’s a possibility of the material being explicit? Because it’s on the internet?
Or
is it because fanfic is actually written by people who, wildly enough, aren’t seeking mass market validation, and nothing is scarier or more threatening to a world that has always wanted so badly to capitalize art and permanently exclude the unwashed masses from the creation and appreciation of it than people who will, quite literally, do shit (and do it well) for free just because it makes them happy?
After all, isn’t it easier to squash a threat by injecting it with such a level of internalized shame and embarrassment that the people participating in it have to spend more time overcoming that shame/defending themselves, and less time creating/appreciating? How can we challenge the status quo if we, ourselves, are obsessed with maintaining the veil of it? 😉
*
Your friend’s second opinion is trickier to answer, because this is a question of personal beliefs and ethics. The ethical aspect of RPF, particularly, has long been debated, and if you’re looking for a hard ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, I won’t be able to give you that. There will always be very good arguments for both sides, and I also find myself re-examining my own opinion and participation from time to time.
But, if you want my personal opinion on why I am comfortable creating and appreciating RPF, it’s mostly because of two things:
I know (and constantly remind myself) the difference between fact and fiction. I understand that no matter who my character looks/speaks/acts like, my character is a character and not a real person, and whatever I write should never, ever reflect the way I treat a real person or interact with them.
I understand that fanfic, if consumed as intended, does not and should not affect the people they are about. I do not break the fourth wall, and I do what I can and what is in my power to keep my work in a sphere where it can only be consumed by those who actively want to find it. It is bound by fandom. I would never condone its use outside of it, or its use as any kind of justification to stereotype someone or feel entitled to the intimate details of their very real lives. I trust that readers have common sense, and we, as humans, are not so impressionable that fictional work can be used as a tool to negate our common human decency (no matter what book burners want you to believe).
Some people may not believe that these are good enough reasons, and fair enough. I have no intention of convincing anyone of the ethical rightness or wrongness of fic — that’s entirely up to them to decide, and whatever opinion they have of me and my hobby are out of my control. What is in my control is the erection of boundaries and the capacity to enforce personal red lines that help to keep this hobby from affecting anyone’s reality, and I think that’s really the most one person can do.
Hope this was interesting for you, and sorry if my explanations were a mess! 😊
@twopoppies has a great FANFICTION COMMENTARY tag that you should definitely check out if this is a conversation that really interests you!

Tumblr Writer Q&A
Thanks for the tag @wordsnwhiskey & @imtryingmybeskar
1) How many complete fics/one shots do you have that you have not published (yet)?
None, if I finish something up I post it immediately.
2) How many WIPS do you have right now?
Uhhh.... *kicks OneDrive folder under the bed* technically 2 that will be posted and a bunch that may never see the light of the internet?
3) Do you take writing requests or write original ideas, or both?
I would love to get some requests but I'm not like a super popular or well known fic author yet so I don't think people even go "hey maybe Kelly would be down to write this!" đŸ€·â€â™€ïž
4) If you do take requests, how many do you currently have?
None
5) How many fandoms do you write for?
Right now just the Pedro-fandom, it's become the hyperfixation due to the sheer diversity of it
6) Are there any fandoms you wrote for in the past that you no longer write for?
Inuyasha (in a composition notebook I keep in a memory box), Yu Yu Hakusho (MediaMiner), Fairy Tail (published on FF.net), Final Fantasy XIV (WIPS), Marvel MCU
7) Do you write for ships, reader inserts or other?
Started with ships, then OFCs, and now I'm branching into reader inserts
8) Niche fandoms/characters you write for?
Uhhh.... I have some WIPS from Harvest Moon and My Time at Portia sitting around?
9) Do you read fics as well as write them?
Yes, always, there's too many amazing authors to not attempt to binge their masterlists
10) What is your favorite genre to write for?
Uhh, romance generally. I throw in some angst, (attempts) mystery, and action.
11) What is your favorite trope (to read/write)?
Favorite trope to read, hands down, is idiots to lovers. Writing? I'm not too sure if I have a favorite since I'm sort of throwing all the little slips into a hat and pulling them out as I go.
12) What do you do to get motivated to write?
Clean. It's dumb but something about doing general house chores gives me the ability to go "finish this and I can start working on xyz"
13) Is there a trope/genre you like to read, but not write?
None that I can think of, if I read it I can usually find myself dabbling into it.
14) Any characters/fandoms you want to write for that are never requested?
Well I don't get requests so... đŸ€·â€â™€ïž But honestly right now I'd just love to see more people ask specific questions about the Iridescence-verse. I'd love to start writing little side stories that I can work into the main plot.
15) How long have you been writing fanfiction?
Technically? Uh, I started when I was about sixteen so that'd be like 15 years ago? But you'll only find the stuff I started posting online back in like 2012 if you do go looking.
16) Did you read fan fiction before you started writing?
Yes, I remember using those proxy websites on the school computers to get around firewalls just to read during 'study hour'
17) Do you only post on Tumblr, or any other sites as well?
I post on AO3 as well, I have an FF.net account but the stories there are either finished or abandoned because I'm not really in the fandom anymore.
18) What do you personally consider the word counts of “Drabble”, “One shots” and “fics”?
Drabbles are, to me, max of 500 words.
One-shots can be a little sketchy, I've read some really long ones up to 70k words so I think it varies on the author.
Fics are just anything that has more than one chapter.
19) Which do you prefer to write more? HC, drabbles, oneshots/fics, multi chapter stories, other?
Multi chapter stories, for sure, I've always been the type to overdetail when I write so drabbles and short pieces are like the bane of my writing existence.
20) Are there any stories you have discontinued? If so, why?
Plenty on FF.net, mainly because I'm no longer in the fandom for it. I had Miraculous Ladybug ficlets I was going to post but the fandom as a whole is WAY too toxic for me to deal with right now.
21) What is one of your main “pet-peeves” as a writer on Tumblr?
Anon hate, for sure, it's not our job as creators to determine what content shows up on someone's dash. Tumblr specifically created a way to filter tags, and most authors I know tag their pieces with everything under the sun to make sure that they don't accidentally appear for someone filtering.
22) Do you write a particular time of day?
No, just whenever I have the inspiration.
23) Do you listen to music, ambiance/noise, etc to write or do you need silence?
Depends on what I'm working on. Can't be any music with lyrics, I get too distracted hearing actual words, so generally it's instrumental pieces or ambient noises if I do have something going.
24) Do you outline your fics at all before writing?
HAHAHAHA. That's funny. Hell no. I give myself a basic plot and then let the story tell itself. I'm a very "flies by the seat of her pants" kind of writer.
25) Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time/day?
I generally post it immediately, unless I need to review it a few times to make sure I like how it turned out.
No pressure tags (and plz start a new post if you answer!):

ao3 tag game
1. How many works do you have on ao3? 61 total. 53 under danpuff and 8 under danniperson. (I have other fics on other sites that never made it to AO3. I'm debating whether or not to move them over.)
2. What's your current AO3 wordcount? 387,868. Hopefully will add more soon once I get out of this funk I've been in!
3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? Hmm. Technically 3, but I deleted my Stormlight Archive fics (for reasons) so I only have Harry Potter (danpuff) and MCU (danniperson) posted on AO3 currently.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Can we take a moment to laugh that 4/5 are from my Yes, Daddy series? Cuz I'm laughing about it. And #5 being my single Harry Potter longfic LOL.
1.) Daddy Knows Best
2.) Daddy's Boy
3.) [title feels like a tad much for Tumblr, just know it's a Daddy fic]
4.) Who's Your Daddy?
5.) The Best Kept Secrets
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not. I try to! I have some old ones I've been hesitant to get to since it's been such a long time, but I think one day I'll be brave and go answer them. Comments mean the world to me and I want the people who took time to leave me kind words to know how much I appreciate them!
6. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? Hmmm...Maybe The Mirror [Harry Potter, non-con] or come back to me (you're all i've ever wanted) [MCU, Steve/Howard & Stony]. I am rather fond of open endings, so probably several of those might feel pretty angsty there at the end. Exposure is probably a good one that ends at a sad place, but with a hopeful note.
7. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written? No, but I'd like to! I have strong feelings about a Harry Potter & Percy Jackson crossover. (Though if you'd like to read Close Enough as a HP/PJ crossover, feel free!)
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? Sadly, yes. It let to me purging some of my fics, which I sort of regret now. I've been tempted to purge since then but I always remind myself not to give people's unkind words that sort of power over me and my work. And that my work is valid and worthy of existing and meaningful to some people, even if not everyone cares for it.
9. Do you write smut? Heck yes!
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of, so let's hope not!
11. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but it sounds fun!
12. What's your all time favorite ship? SNARRY. I've been shipping them for 18 years (aka most of my life.) In the past year I've opened up to enjoying more rarepairs on the side (Dron, Dremus, Drarius, Chaco....um. Essentially, lots of Draco ships, especially if there's background snarry in the mix!)
13. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Harry Potter
14. What's your favorite fic you've written? That is difficult! I'm pretty proud of the following for various reasons:
> Take Heed, Dear Heart (I gender swapped EVERYONE, which was fun but also pretty eye-opening about the number of prominent male characters.)
> Romantic Notions (Very weird one, ngl. Involves Neville/plants. Yes, Neville/plants. Also unrequited Sneville. Background Snarry. Minor Dreville. It was a good time.) (I was very determined to write Neville/plants without it being a crack!fic. You can let me know how well I succeeded, LOL.)
> Collateral Damage (my Dron fic! It's gotten lots of love which makes me oh so happy! And I'm so so proud of how it came out!)
> The Yellow Door (concept that lived in my head for ages and ages until I figured out how to actually tell the story.)
> Spaghetti (fully living my dream of "other characters reacting to Snarry" and also friend angst.)
Tagging: ...anyone who wants to do it. (Which is essentially why I'm doing it!) I love reading these and hope to see more!

she apologized for how she handled the situation and apologized for brushing off someone's honest criticisms as hate. what more is she meant to do? throw herself onto a pyre? is she not allowed to feel lousy that this whole thing blew up in her face? because she's an adult and she made a mistake, she's not allowed to be sad or stressed? she's still an imperfect human. apologizing immediately usually means people are still sensitive to their own hurt of being called out because it's fresh and on their mind so it tends to slip into their apology, but if she had waited any longer to compose herself, you guys would probably have an issue with how long she took. also, in aaaaaallll of this, I've have yet to once see what exactly about her work is so problematic? I've read her fic and I personally can't see anything wrong, although I will admit that yes, I'm a white ciswoman but I'd like to think I'm aware of negative tropes. but the only thing touted is "it made an mlm uncomfortable" but HOW??? honestly, I want to know! if anything so I can avoid doing the same thing! how is anyone meant to learn when you're not bringing up these points as often as you're explicitly laying out the problems in her apology and whatnot. I've seen 6 posts about how shit the apology was and for why and I've not once seen the original comment detailing why the fic was problematic, and I've been looking on twit, tumblr, insta, and ao3. if it's been deleted, why isn't anyone stating again and again what's wrong? also, if someone is making fic/art you don't like, don't. interact. with. it. there's tons of stuff on ao3 and twit that I don't like, some of it that I think is disgusting (do you know how many fics there are with keith/kosmos?) and I just scroll past it cause it can't hurt me if I don't read it. there's one artist that's pretty popular on Twitter and I personally really hate they way they draw klance but it's all over my tl. I respect that person's art style and creativeness and keep on moving. other people enjoy it, good for them. and if I start reading something and get surprised with something I dont like, I leave! find people who write things you like and stop engaging with creators who's things you don't like, as far as I know no one is holding a gun to your head making you read problematic fic. also for as much as you rag on her for the words she used to apologize, you don't seem to be considering your own words when offering criticism. if Taylor mistook the person's words as hate, couldn't it have been because the way he worded the complaint was done hatefully? lastly, no one, absolutely no one, is required to talk about world issues when they're running a fandom account,no matter how "big" they are. we all know what's going on in the world, we're surrounded by sad and stressful stories practically 24/7 and if someone isn't, they're probably curating their social feeds to be that way (like you should do when it come to kl content creators you don't like). people sending hate in Taylor's defense are in the wrong I agree, and this isn't hate its critism its a discussion, but Taylor isn't responsible for, how many people did you say? 16k on twit? even if she said hey guys stop, you think they would? she's can't control all those people and expecting her to is nonsense. I see so many younger fans expecting perfection in their fandoms and that just isn't going to happen. yes we should be striving to be better but no one is ever going to be perfect. not you, not me, not the mlm person, not Taylor, not anyone on any side of this argument. the only way to avoid this kind of circular dog piling and hate sending is to better curate your fandom experience by ignore those you have issues with.- 🩛
she apologized for how she handled the situation and apologized for brushing off someone's honest criticisms as hate. what more is she meant to do?
im pretty sure i said its good that she realizes she handled it poorly. but she makes the whole apology about this, doesnt directly talk about the issues and i know someone went to her to talk about it. also, it took her a day to say something about it so it wasnt exactly immediate (in the sense people had already stopped talking about it but that doesnt mean they werent still bothered). the apology was directed at mlm, and i havent seen one saying it felt genuine. of couse she can be hurt but when you apologize to a marginalized group the focus shouldnt be your feelings, but the feelings of the ones you have hurt.
I've have yet to once see what exactly about her work is so problematic?
she admits to be projecting on lance. so she makes him very femine and keith very masculine. and ok, gay couples like that do exist, but she is a woman projecting in this situation so this bothers people. putting mlm in this position is a harmful steriotype, bc it feels very heterosexual. this is a trope, it unfortunately happens a lot and its harmful. women need to be aware of what they are representing when drawing/writing mlm because well, real mlm are going to see it, and no one likes to feel like a fetish to others. and its not our place to question if the criticism is right or wrong when we are not mlm, so if you read this and think “but thats not a problem thats not a fetish etc” well, its not your place to judge that. theres more to it and you probably could get a better answer from a mlm sorry.
if someone is making fic/art you don't like, don't. interact. with. it. there's tons of stuff on ao3 and twit that I don't like, some of it that I think is disgusting (do you know how many fics there are with keith/kosmos?) and I just scroll past it cause it can't hurt me if I don't read it.
please, lets not compare a minority pointing out harmful tropes with. something fucking illegal.
as you said, you are a cis woman, of course its not going to hurt you in this case. but if people are making harmful content its not a simple matter of “dont interact with it” because they will still be promoting it, other people are going to read it, and media influences how we see minorities so of course people will not like when they see bad portrayal of them. also, tumblr sucks so even if you want to just “dont interact with it” its hard because even after blocking you can still cross the content of someone. not sure how it works on twitter but anyway this discussion started on tumblr and tumblr doesnt stop people who were bothered by her to avoid her by blocking.
if Taylor mistook the person's words as hate, couldn't it have been because the way he worded the complaint was done hatefully?
i think she deleted the ask by now, but i dont remember the ask being hateful. i remember someone asking if she was a fujoshi, and another person mentioned that mlm didnt like the way she portrayals klance. i dont remember it being hateful. but again, she apologized for handling it badly. its just that she stops there.
no one, absolutely no one, is required to talk about world issues when they're running a fandom account,no matter how "big" they are. we all know what's going on in the world, we're surrounded by sad and stressful stories practically 24/7 and if someone isn't, they're probably curating their social feeds to be that way
ignoring world issues is a privilege. if someone is able to turn off from all the problems in the world, its a privilige. yes no one should talk aobut it all the time thats not even healthy, but to never talk about it is a privilege. thats what black people are saying, they cant just turn off from racism, so yes they are going to expect white people to do something. online honestly i cant do shit, i dont think anything i reblog here does a difference and i do what i can in my own country, but she has a plataform that could help bring awareness. again, its a privilege to be able to curate your social media to be a perfect happy place.
even if she said hey guys stop, you think they would? she's can't control all those people and expecting her to is nonsense.
maybe they wouldnt, but if people were doing this type of thing in my name, in my defense, i would at least say something about it idk. she cant control them but she makes nothing to show that she disagrees or look for the people being harassed to say something about it.
the only way to avoid this kind of circular dog piling and hate sending is to better curate your fandom experience by ignore those you have issues with.
when it comes to simple things like “i prefer taller lance and i dont like taller keith” yeah, its fine to ignore people who draw taller keith and move on with your life or something like that. but we are talking about mlm, a real group of people, being upset for being portrayed in a harmful and steriotype way. its everywhere in fandom, and in real life. they cant escape from real life, and then they come to fandom where everyone wants some escapism and have to deal with more issues. its tiring

Do you think it's weird that everyone just... Ignores the chemistry/sexual tension between Lucy and Flynn? Other than Abigail's one interview mentioning the dynamic between the two of them (and she even says then that she doesn't think anyone ships them), there hasn't been any big mention of the two that I've seen. I know it's a minor ship compared to Lyatt's popularity, but it just seems so neglected. Their chemistry is obvious to me, but if it weren't for y'all I'd think I were imagining it...
I assume you are talking about this interview, yes?
It’s a shame because this ship has such a great following that only seems to be growing. I wish the show knew we existed. Like I hate love triangles (so much
 so
 so
much), but if the show wanted to play up a Flynn/Lucy/Wyatt triangle, I’d deal with it. Just to have some acknowledgement that there is something going on between Flynn and Lucy. We’re not crazy. Even Abigail and Goran sit around talking about their amazing and powerful relationship. She admits they have a very unique dynamic and strong connection. Not even they can ignore that something is going on here. And yes, I’ve also seen people in the fandom who don’t ship it but admit there is some sort of special chemistry at work. Other people have finally given up and decided to ship both. We aren’t imagining things. Goran and Abigail’s chemistry is one of those rare sparks that couldn’t have been planned or forced. It just happened. What an amazing happenstance. And I think that instead of ignoring that, the show should be capitalizing on it.
But after the executives realized how into Wyatt/Lucy people were, they really started playing it up on social media. Like really really. Hey, maybe calm down a little. A romance is so far down on the list of priorities for a show like this. (Yes, I am including Flynn/Lucy in that.) So I think one of the problems is the people in charge aren’t aware there is a differing opinion out there. Kind of like how a couple months ago all of us on this site thought we were alone in wanting Flynn/Lucy. Once we started voicing our opinion out loud though, it did make a difference. The fandom became much less one-sided. The AO3 page has gone from having no fics with them to looking like this
Tumblr media
They now have 43% as many fics as the leading ship (a ship which had a tremendous head start, btw). AND they’re beating out a canon couple who have said, “I love you,” to each other. By almost 200%. We are gaining some traction. But, unfortunately, that’s only within ourselves. On a small level. The reason Wyatt/Lucy is played up so much is because executives think that’s what people are here for. (And like eff them, btw, for trying to simplify such an amazing premise down to a romance plot.) But it does establish that, yes, fans are catered to sometimes. We do have a voice. They want to give us what we want so we’ll keep watching the show. Part of the reason love triangles exist is so fans will get really into their side of it and keep coming back for every big and small victory. Shipping has a noticeable impact on fiction right now. That’s the reason for Timeless’s social media making a big deal out of Wyatt/Lucy. They think we all want it, and they’re trying to get us excited.
So the problem is what you talked about and what Abigail mentioned in her interview. No one knows Flynn/Lucy has a following. Now, we don’t have confirmation of a second season yet, but we are all keeping our fingers crossed until mid-May. Either way, the show runners are already going over ideas for season two. Timeless might get canceled and those ideas go nowhere, but they are making plans. This is the malleable, influential stage where new opinions can be introduced and possibly included. So
I’m not saying to spam the actors or show runners or anything
But maybe do that. lol. I don’t know. Just tweet them or something. Say how much Flynn/Lucy’s relationship means to you and that you’re looking forward to seeing more. Be bold and say you want to see it explored in a romantic context. Maybe share edits with them. Because it is the same out there as it was here on tumblr. Until people say something, no one will know we exist. And Flynn/Lucy will continue to be sidelined unless it’s relevant to the plot that they interact. Just a suggestion. ♄
