Hmm..... I don't think about LOK rarepairs as much, but I do have a few. However, aside from Hukki and Irosami, most of them are more along the lines of "they intrigue me in theory but I would need to explore them more," rather than "I am actively invested in them." (The other exception to this is Makonora, which is actually perfect and I was so galaxy-brained for coming up with it.)

You've said you don't do modern AUs but if you did, who would have social media? And what kind?

That's true, I usually don't. But you know what? Why the fuck not!

Of the original generation, I think Su Beifong is the ultimate Facebook Grandma. Where she is the queen of humble bragging, FOR SURE. I don't think Baatar Sr would be into social media much at all - just not really his thing. I think Pema might also have FB, where she would post sweet updates and occasional Boomer memes and DM her family. Lin would not be caught dead on social media and refuses to look at anybody else's posts. LoLo would probably belong to the same private FB group as Bumi II and Iroh II. It's probably called something rude like SEAMEN 4 U or something. Where they reminisce over past exploits and compare fire whiskey or something. Post stupid Navy memes. I think both Izumi and Kya would be on FB, but they'd be private accounts and only for the sake of seeing family pictures and sending DMs to the rest of their generation.

Tenzin would probably have official Air Nation social media with lots of useful information. Which would actually be overseen by Jinora, of course. I think poor Tenzin would be confused by social media. And avoid it as much as possible. Jinora would probably do most of the posting and all of the accounts would be very well done.

Asami doesn't have time for social media; she has a PR firm that does Future Industries social media for her. Korra probably has both Twitter (I refuse to call it you know what) and TikTok, where she is the ultimate Gen X poster, and quite popular with all age ranges. There's air guitar. There's showy displays of bending. There's hilarious interviews with spirits. Every once in awhile she gets serious, as well. She's very popular because she's the Avatar. She's pretty busy, so she's not a daily poster by any means, but is still well liked. She has matured enough that she just blocks trolls instead of debating them.

Wu has FB, Instagram, Twitter - all of which are connected and basically post the same thing. Nothing live because the man would not be caught dead without anything wholly and completely curated and photoshopped. While he does write most of his posts and takes some photos, his posts are curated by his PR firm before being published and are meant to represent the Hou-Ting family as a whole. The Pool of Golden Blooms does have social media, but it's done by his publisher. Wu does have a private FB account so he can keep up with friends and family, however.

Mako would have Whatsapp so he could get in touch with folks but that would be about it. He'll gamely watch whatever memes anyone else shows him, though. He's often included in Wu's posts and he's okay with it. As long as he isn't required to actually keep up with it.

Qi would have Insta only; no candid shots, but something incredibly stylish and cool. Fashionista account, for sure. Followed by thousands and thousands. Never responds to anyone. Please. As if they would. Scorpio.

Bolin is the KING of social media. One of those celebrity actor accounts that everyone loves. He'd be like the Mark Hamill of Avatar Social Media. Or the Neil Gaiman. He'd respond as much as he could.

Opal would be the Georgia Tennant of Twitter and Instagram. Enough said.

Nuo would have FB and Instagram. She would not post all that much, but she'd keep up with what everyone else was doing. However, she and Wu would Facetime daily. There is official Zaofu social media but that's done by the PR team.

Wing would mostly post stuff about his garden. Wei would mostly post stuff about his pro-bending. Neither of them is very regular. They are both pretty busy with their lives and are more outdoorsy dudes anyhow.

Ikki mostly does live blogging, and she's fairly popular. Sometimes Baatar Jr is in it by accident and he is HIGHLY CRANKY about it, which Ikki thinks is hilarious. Most people think he's doing it as part of a long-running joke but no. He's legit crabby. He thinks social media is the downfall of civilization and refuses to use it. (When it is pointed out to him that his Aunt thinks the same he gets real fucking pissy.)

Huan does Twitter and Insta, but only about his art. He doesn't interact.

Meelo does regular live blogging like his sister, mostly about the Southern Air Temple as well as the school for the Deaf they have there. I would imagine he would do some sort of YouTube channel to learn Sign Language. (I have a lot of headcanons about Meelo eventually coming into his own and being an amazing teacher.)

Rohan? Too busy for social media, probably, although if Jinora asked him to do something specific for Air Nation social media he would gladly help out.

Hou-Ting kids? Naoki would do occasional Instagram posts, probably. It would focus a lot on her bending/her students' bending. She wouldn't do anything with regards to the Fire Nation court - that would be done by the official Fire Nation Royal accounts. Hemadri, on the other hand, would have a very popular Twitter account. People think it's Naoki doing it, but it's actually Lady Uma, which is something only Juziya, Naoki, and Sozui know. Juziya and Sozui would be covered by the official Fire Nation Royal accounts as well.

Zhi along with San would do popular desert, bug and geology videos/blogs across social media. They'd be like the Avatar version of Shane and Ryan with some Bear Grylls thrown in. Great rapport and really fun videos that actually teach people things. Ping and Amak sometimes show up. There are many calls in the comments for Ping to take his shirt off. Ping is mortified.

Meili would not do social media often but when she did it would be about her clinic and/or charity work, never anything personal. Meili is a very private person. Tupilek would keep up social media for Bridge Clinic, and would have a private FB account to keep in touch with his family down south.

Sayuri wouldn't do social media, except for her wholly anonymous and totally secret Tumblr account, which would be full of weird fandom stuff. She'd have the shoelaces, okay?

Zu also has a private Tumblr account, also full of weird fandom stuff. Neither of them know the other one has one. When they eventually find out, they will think it is H I L A R I O U S. They still won't follow each other, however, because they both understand the importance of having their own thing to themselves.

Orchid would be a social media QUEEN. Mommy blogger. Business woman blogger. Come see gorgeous Zaofu blogger. Beauty tips blogger. Sponsored blogger. Absolutely. Iris? No time, could not care less. Rose? Oh god no. She'd have a sophisticated website for her jewelry business but it would be done professionally, she'd have nothing to do with it. Poppy? Twitter. Where she would be known for being just savage to people who pissed her off. As would Jai, who would offend people on the regular. God help you if you attempted to troll one of them, because the other would come gunning for you.

Bu would probably blog every once in awhile, but not consistently. Pearl? No. She's as much offline as she can be.

Goba has a popular YouTube channel where he teaches Airbending meditation techniques and body strengthening exercises that anybody can use.

Katara II would have a YouTube channel about archival techniques, as well as Airbending history - which are mostly voiceovers, since she's not comfortable in front of the camera. She'd be well-known and appreciated, but more among the academic crowd. Tseten would enjoy social media, but wouldn't be consistent. A month of daily blogging and then six months of nothing while he'd be neck deep into his art.

Bhuti has one of the most popular travel blogs in the world. She'd be one of those people who would have an entire TikTok channel of her dancing with various people all over, that kind of thing. She's fun, she's engaging, she goes everywhere. Ever wanted to hear an air bison fart? Bhuti's got you covered. People love her, and she does lots of fun and spontaneous interviews as she travels as well.

I have so many questions....How will Baatar react to Kuvira ? Will he be able to reserve the brainwashing? ... Do we get another trilogy?

summery: You and Wei only just became a couple a few months ago but one night in Republic City changed that for the better.

You grinned and clinked glasses with him, downing the contents seconds later. It burned the back of your throat and you pinched up your face for a moment, Wei laughed. It was boisterous and you could tell he’d had one shot too many. But the night was till young and the Krew had invited you, Wing, and Wei out for a night on the town while the three were visiting Republic City.

It had been a few years since you’d been home and in all honesty you missed it. The parks, the shopping, the bars, the people even. But after Kuvira and Baatar Jr had been arrested and you’d saved the day, you were tired. King Wu was relatively safe, Bolin was working with Mako under Lin, Mako was still a cop of course, Asami was still working on her inventions, and Korra was off doing Avatar stuff. Everything was ok, except you had no idea what you were going to do. You no longer had the responsibility of keeping your friends in line, they could take care of themselves and you finally had time to kick back and relax… but you didn’t want to. You carved action and not putting your earth or metal bending to good use made you ill. But you also wanted to be close to the ones you loved.

So, you decided you ultimately wanted both. And you also wanted to be closer to the family you’d begun to call your own. Suyin and Baatar Sr had really made you feel at home the last time you’d been to Zaofu and you being able to metal bend made you start thinking genuinely about staying in Zaofu in a more long term situation. You’d already been living with them in the three years Korra had gone off to the South Pole. It was tense back then and you could only imagine what it was like after the whole Kuvira thing. However your two best friends, Wing and Wei, assured you everything was “just peachy”.

You thought on if for months and ultimately chose to go, of course your friends understand and wrote to you constantly. You’d made your life there, living in your own small home with your own Crococat, you treated it as if it were your child and your friends found it only mildly strange. You were close to the Beifong family more than anyone else. That’s how you and Wei eventually started dating. But all that had been three of so years ago, you didn’t keep track after a while. So when the twins said they needed to go to Republic city for business on behalf of Suyin you promptly started packing.

Wei grinned at you again and ordered two more shots, not bothering to say anything about Wing trying his best to pick up some girl on the other end of the bar. The rest of the Krew had went to another bar, though you and Wei hadn’t noticed. You were too caught up being all couple-y and “giving wing the oogies” to even care.

“Another?” You smirked at him and he shrugged. “Why not? And then we can dance!” He animatedly waved his hand to the center of the room. Some people had created a make shift dance floor and you smiled. It was cute seeing Wei so excited over something like that, so you gave in. “Fine, but only for a little while! I’m not good at dancing!” You giggled and the bartender set down the shots. Wei grabbed one and you grabbed the other, he downed his first, then looked at you expectantly.

“You’re lucky I love you,” you grinned and knocked it back. It made you shiver and you made the same face as before. He laughed again and grabbed your hand. He never liked wasting a moment that could be spent having fun, you learned. You really loved that about him, even if I did sometimes get on your nerves. But still, you never wanted it to change. “Oh, I know I’m lucky all right.” You smiled at him and let him lead you over to the dance floor. It was a good time and you were pretty sure you guys danced till your legs were about to fall off. You laughed and sang along to the music, even though it was horribly off key.

Wei couldn’t take his eyes off of you, you’d only been dating a few months and maybe you guys were still in that phase but he didn’t really care. So as you pulled him alone the streets of the city he couldn’t help but let the words slip out. “Hey, (y/n)?” You looked back at him and squeezed his hand. “Yea?” He pulled you closer to him and wrapped his arms around you. You giggled and grinned the front of his shirt. “I think I wanna marry you,” he grinned. He was being dead serious but you couldn’t tell so you just looked up at him and laughed. “What?” He pouted.

“Wei we’ve only been together like three months!” You gave him one of those “I’m very very serious” looks but you couldn’t keep it up for more than a few seconds before you grinned again. You loved him with your whole heart be sometimes he was a little to excited to do things spur of the moment.

“Come on baby, it’s a beautiful night! Who cares if it’s only been a few months? We’ve known each other for years! I’ll even get a ring tonight!” He grinned at you, leaning in closer. “Just say yea, because I really wanna marry you (y/n).” Your face broke into a grin. What was the worst that could happen? After all, you loved him and he certainly loved you. So messing with his shirt for a moment, still mulling it over. You guys had had a few drinks and maybe you were a little buzzed but like he said, who cared?

“I know where a jewelry shop is,” you grabbed his hand and giggled as you broke into a run down the empty street. “Is that a yes?” He grinned at you and you nodded, heels clicking as you picked up your pace. “Yes, Wei! That’s a yes!” You pulled him along and he let out a very loud “woohoo!” A few people in the various shops looked out of their windows to see what the commotion was about. Spirits, you loved him.

Your hair flew behind you and you two raced down the streets, his feet were pounding down on the stone ground and his heart in his chest. You looked absolutely beautiful, even with your flushed face and messy hair. He couldn’t tell if he’d always felt that way about you or if he’d been stuffing the feelings deep down. But when he finally asked you out he played it cool, still stuffing down those feelings because he really didn’t want to be that boyfriend. He wasn’t quite sure what it was, the look in her eyes, the drinks, but whatever it was made him want to just let it all out.

You slowed down and smiled at him before coming to a full stop in front of a lit up shop. It had a big gold diamond on it with Lee Jewelers just above it on the window. You both looked inside, it was empty. “Ready?” You nodded with a giddy grin and he kissed you cheek. You you grinned up at him again and he opened the door for you. “Why thank you, kind sir,” you giggled at him and walked inside. He followed after you and you made your way over to the jewelry counter. “Hey!” A store clerk smiled at them as they came up. “Can I help you two?”

“Yea, were looking to buy two engagement rings,” you smiled at the man and he nodded. You followed him to the far left side of the counter and he pointed to e huge diamond ring sitting proudly on a faux finger. You pursed your lips as you looked at it, not that impressed. “Well we’ve got a few lovely sets-“ he droned on and on about a few of the rings, none of them really caught your eye though. They were either too big or too flashy. You didn’t want big or flashy, you wanted simple, but to be fair Wie could have blended a piece of scrap metal then and there and you’d have loved it, as long as you were marrying him.

Your eyes wandered to the other side of the counter out of sheer boredom. You weren’t sure if you would have found the ring for you if you hadn’t have because the ring Thad had caught your eye was sitting in the corner of the display. “I like this one,” you tugged Wei over and he looked at it with you. It was a small circle cut diamond set on a simple silver band. The clerk smiled. “Yes, it’s very simple, though. Maybe you’d like to take a look at the others?” You shook your head. “No, I don’t think those are right for me.”

“Is there another silver band that would go with it?” Wei looked up at the man and he nodded, pointing another one out. ��Would you like to see them up close?” You both nodded and smiled. “Yes please,” you looked at Wei and he squeezed your hand. The clerk nodded and crouched down to unlock the cabinet. He stood back up after a moment and placed them both on the counter.

You picked one up and showed it to Wei, who nodded approvingly. You set it back down and looked at the other one just as closely. It was a simple silver band with a small diamond fit snugly in the center. It was barely noticeable but was also I smaller version of the other circle cut diamond. Wei seemed to like it and nodded again. “We’ll take them both.” He smiled at the man and you took his wallet from your bag. “How much?”

“30,000 yuans,” the man smiled at you two and Wei started counting. You looked at him incredulously. You knew he was well off but you didn’t think he’d just shell out that kind of money. And he never really did, at least not in front of you. After all, it didn’t impress you like it did other girls, spirits, even guys. But he put the money on the counter and the man counted it for himself. He looked down at you. “You’re sure you want that one?” You nodded again and he nodded.

You watched, quietly, still not quite believing it was all happening. After all you’d had a few shots, though not enough to not know what was going on, you both had and maybe that was why Wei had so easily pulled out the money. But before you could think you and Wei were heading out of the shop and up the street and into a random bar to ask for directions.

Wei knocked on the bar and got the bar tenders attention. She smiled at him and grabbed her notepad. “What can I get ya, hun?” He smiled at her, he’d been smiling to much you thought his face would fall off. “Hey ma’am, do you know where the closest chapel is?” He wrapped an arm around you and she furrowed her brow in thought. “I’m pretty sure there’s one near the park! Go down this road, take the first left and then a right. Fifth building on the right.” She smiled at you. “And good luck you two, congratulations!” She seemed in a hurry to get back to her customers and you couldn’t blame her. It was a bust night and all the bars were crowded, especially that one.

“Thank you!” You waved to her and the two of you walked out. The night was warm and you took a deep breath, smelling the air. “It’s really nice out, tonight.” You looked up at him and he wrapped an arm around you, nodding. “A perfect night for a wedding,” you nestled into him and he nodded, grinning from ear to ear.

“I can’t wait for you to be Mrs. (y/n) Beifong,” you could just see the love in his eyes when he said it. Sure, it had only been three months but he had been having that thought in the back of his mind for years. He’d been pining after you since you’d first visited Zaofu, Wing had been teasing him for years about it but somehow you never noticed.

You yourself liked him for a while, too. You’d never really said anything about it though. He had has his own issues to deal with. After all Baatar Jr and Kuvira were living under the same roof as him, that in itself seemed to be stressful. He never talked about that part of his home life, though. Instead he would talk about how much he enjoyed spending time with his mom again or how him and Wing had come up with a new way to train, or even just small talk about the weather or how pretty the sky looked. That’s what made you fall in love with him, his love for the simple things.

“I can’t either,” you hummed. “And I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” He chuckled and leaned down to kiss her temple. She smiled, leaning into him. “But I’m pretty sure your mom is going to kill us when she finds out.” He just shrugged, so nonchalantly that you were almost a little concerned. “She’ll get over it, besides she doesn’t have to know if we don’t want her to.”

“Really?” You raised a brow be he didn’t say anything, he just smiled at you and turned the corner. You sighed with a smiled and looked around. “It’s been so long since I’ve been back. A lot has changed.” You nodded to one of the shops. “That one right there used to sell clothes. Now it’s a barber shop.” He nodded. “I’ve never been to Republic City and actually got to explore, but it’s nice to be able to now.”

“It was my home for so long, it’s just weird to see it so different.” You shrugged and looked around some more. You weren’t familiar with this part of the city, but you still knew were your old favorite spots had been. “But I’m glad you’re able to experience it, even if it’s just for a while.”

“Oh, I’m sure we’ll be back more often. I actually like it here, and I get to see Aunt Lin.” You nodded and smiled. “Besides, I know you miss it here. I wouldn’t want you to feel like you have to pick a home.” His expression was soft and you shook your head.

“Wei, I love living in Zaofu and I loved living in Republic City but neither are my home anymore.” He raised a brow and you continued. “You’re my home, silly,” you poked his chest and he laughed.

“(y/n/n), I love you but sometimes you’re a little too cheesy,” he grinned at you and you scoffed. “Me? Too cheesy? Never!” You have him the best offended look you could muster but he just laughed again. It was as boisterous as even and you couldn’t help but laugh along with him. Your pace has slowed down, you just enjoyed being with him so neither of you noticed until the glow from the chapel lights lit up the street corner and how long it was taking to get to them.

“Come on, we’ve got a wedding to get to!” You grinned at him and pulled him along. He grinned and picked up his pace and speed walked along side you. After that it was kind of a blur, the signing of papers, the this and that for the in house photographer, and whatever else but the one thing you’d never forget were the vows.

“I love you (y/n), more than anything. You’re my world, my universe, spirits my everything. You’re on my mind from the time I wake up to when I go to bed, you make me happier than I have been in a long time. I always knew from the moment I met you I knew I wanted to show you all the finer things in life, even if it took forever to convince you to let me, and belive me I’m so glad you did.” He looked you in the eye and you swore you could see year tears forming but he never let them fall. “The thought of you not being around scares me more than anything. You make me want to be better and without you I’m not sure where I’d be right now. So when I say I love you, I mean it in every way possible.”

You smiled at him and blinked your tears away. “Wei, you’ve changed my life in so many ways in such a short amount of time. Before you I didn’t think I could love anyone the way I love you. I never thought I’d be pouring my heart out to anyone but here we are. You’re my rock, you’ve never not been supportive of me either, even when I wasn’t exactly right in whatever I was roped into. I know we’ll forever be in love, and forever will never be long enough for me to feel like I’ve had long enough with you. I want to be with you till the end, whenever that may be. I promise you, I’ll love you till forever ends.” He wiped the tears running down your face with his thumb and he kissed you. His hands cupped your face and yours did the same.

He pressed his forehead to yours and he laughed. “My wife is so beautiful.” You smiled back at him and cupped his face again. “My husband is so handsome.” He smiled at that. You married him, and spirits were you both happy about it.

linzin (Lin x Tenzin), 10/10, I love those two so much, they have amazing dynamic and I feel they were such a power couple, definitely would like to see them together

pemzin (Tenzin x Pema), 3/10, so I personally don’t really like Pema cuz she doesn’t have much personality imo, basically her only trait is being a mother (which, I believe, is hard enough but shouldn’t be treated as a character trait) and being harsh to Lin. definitely loving linzin more.

masami (Mako x Asami), 9/10, yeah their relationship actually made a lot of sense, later on it was based on friendship and overall was very sweet and I think it had a lot potential but yeah, we got what we got and obviously love triangle had to be involved

kainora (Kai x Jinora), 10/10, hjwuagjd they were so sweet, I loved them together, too bad they didn’t get much screen time in s4 because they were perfect representation of first love and how it lasts, just fluff

makorra (mako x korra), 0/10, now wth happened there?? this was shitty, toxic and undeveloped thing added imo just to spice things up so as to have cOmPlIcAtEd ReLaTiOnShIpS, which, big surprise, didn’t work at all and only made people hate mako (if that was the goal, well done then). as it turned out tho, they worked much better as friends

bopal (Bolin x Opal), 6/10, kinda cute but nothing special, it was nice to see Bolin getting some love after his adventures with korra (1/10, they had fun together but getting him into this mess would just made him even more broken than he already was, thank goodness he got over korra quickly and just stayed friends with her), eska (2/10, i don’t even know what to rate here, this relationship was obviously introduced as comedic relief (which, tbh, worked)) and ginger (0/10, yeah, girl, he’s definitely gonna be your bf now that he’s famous, that’s so nice you see him! cmon). opal being a strong young woman certainly helped him overcome his insecurities and he didn’t have to worry about getting out of toxic relationship (again)

korrasami (korra x asami), 5/10, I honestly couldn’t care less

baayin (baatar x suyin), 4/10, not much to rate here either because baatar also didn’t have much personality but it was nice seeing him staying by her side always, no matter what (even standing up to kuvira for su)

zhurrick (zhu li x varrick), 6/10, I really liked that it was kinda hinted from the beginning, it also made sense they got married so quickly but zhu li changing out of nowhere to whole other person?? like, what??

baavira (baatar jr x kuvira), 6/10, I feel kuvira really did love baatar but was just blinded by possibilities of power (and, well, power itself), I think it’s just tragic history they built for years and then destroyed basically together, breaking each other’s hearts

pheer (p’li x zaheer), 8/10, I WANNA KNOW THEIR BACKSTORY!! what happened there? how did it happen? so many questions ygh! but they worked great together, good thing they didn’t make zaheer indifferent villain without feelings, his ship with p’li was so great.

mingzan (ghazan x ming-hua), 10/10, I consider this canon, sorry not sorry, they had amazing dynamic and it was so obvious they had a crush on each other (remember that scene with Bolin guessing three things about them? do you? huh??), I feel they’d be great together as their relationship is also built on a strong friendship

BONUS (non-canon ships):

wuko (wu x mako), 0/10, yeah, another ship ppl created out of nowhere just to have mlm ship with two handsome guys in the show, same story as with zukka (okay maybe wuko has a bit more basis than zukka but still). I think they’re great friends, learning from each other but would be terrible in romantic relationship (just imagine mako getting so frustrated and angry nearly every time they interact, please, just give him a rest)

kylin (kya x lin), 6/10, for me they have more sibling-like relationship and yeah, I’m a big linzin stan, but i think if I ignored this for a sec, they would be a couple I’d ship, just imagine the sass and power of those two being so badass

amorra (amon x korra), -1/10, why the hell this even exists

What do you think of Kuvira's redemption?

Well. First of all, it was very poorly written and executed. I believe the comics just didn’t have good plot points overall, especially in the Ruins of the Empire trilogy. Now, I’m not an expert on politics or redemption arcs, but my opinion is that it was not earned. I do not hate her, but her actions during season four were extremely harmful and she literally led a dictatorship. The brainwashing plot was such a flimsy plot device. There are better ways the story could have happened other than the stereotypical “Oh look, those left over Earth Empire loyalists are the real big baddies because they brainwash people” It served nothing to further the plot, and having Kuvira say she wasn’t aware of it going on in the reeducation camps was actually detrimental for her. 

If she could kill and create reeducation camps and use spirit vines to build a spirit cannon and Zaofu’s domes to build a gigantic mecha suit, I really don’t think that is a good excuse. I did not see her express genuine regret and shame for her actions or attempt to make up for them besides stopping a handful of, mind you, her original followers and apologizing only to Suyin and her family. That scene where she’s going to kill Guan was badass, but still. And her backstory was not exactly amazingly written. If the creators wanted to gain sympathy through that, they failed. I’m not into psychology, and children often throw tantrums, but having her say later on that she almost killed her mother... I just don’t know. If Kuvira was relatively privileged and in middle class as a child and then left under Suyin’s care after she got too dangerous, I’m not sure if it validates her abandonment argument. I don’t think leaving your child under the care of some stranger just like that was a good thing, obviously, but I was kind of expecting something like, she grew up in poverty. 

While we’re talking about the Beifongs, by the way, I don’t believe the ending was satisfying or even believable, after what happened. Also, the whole Baatar Jr. x Kuvira thing... ew. No offense to the Baavira shippers, but if the ending of ROTE is anything to go by, it’s pretty much incestous. (I know Suyin only said she viewed her like a daughter, but then there’s the whole Suyin calling Kuvira and Opal sisters during a childhood flashback scene. Sidenote, Opal saying that Kuvira a stray dog that no one wanted, not even her own parents, was pretty cruel. I know Kuvira was mean, but that kind of response would hurt.) 

All of the other characters felt like stepping stones to me. Asami’s rather tolerant of her despite Kuvira killing her father, Korra says things, I forgot everyone else existed and the trial was a mess, etc. Kuvira’s trial and sentencing sentencing is pretty unrealistic and frankly unfair, because if Kuvira gets to get off that easily, why didn’t anyone else? Favoritism from the creators at its finest. I don’t appreciate how many times Asami’s been kidnapped in the tlok comics alone because she can and will fight her way out of hostage situations. Asami’s one of the most skilled non-bender fighters on the show, and she’s proved it. In that episode where Asami and Korra are kidnapped under orders of the late Earth Queen and she literally ripped a metal bar out with sheer strength, and then freed herself and Korra, and then built and drove a freaking boat invention she constructed out of mere broken scraps of material. 

At the end of the day, I just want to go read those stories where none of this mess ever happened lol. 

Anyways, these are just rambles and thoughts of mine and I apologize if anything is offensive. (Seriously though, I don’t hate her at all. She’s deeply flawed, but also compelling to my admittedly biased mind. I just dislike the comics intensely. And if any fics featuring her are canon-divergent or alternate universe, I’m all for it.)
