My personal headcanon for Ash Ketchum has always been that regardless of if his dream ever came true he'd never truly stop traveling and learning. Because despite "becoming a pokemon master" being his goal if you actually sit down and watch like Any episode of Pokemon the thing that always holds true is his curiosity and desire to learn everything he possibly can related to pokemon. And he'll try anything to! He did contests and the battle frontier. He'd do those silly little shows with Serena if they'd let him.

So I like to imagine him continuing on in life as this nomad who people don't automatically recognize as anyone important ya know? Just this goofy guy going from place to place always lending a helping hand and hes got a cute lil pikachu on him. And hes often lost somewhere with a friend just exploring the woods to see if he'll find anything cool. Ya know, as hes always been, but older now. And its only once hes drifted once more do you maybe stumble into an article on the pokeweb about him and are like... that guy??

THIS IS BASICALLY one of the best perks of being a parent, reliving childhood through my kiddo is a blasssst-

have a valid excuse to rewatch (& catch up on allof the things/episodes I missed when I stopped watching much we’re playing video games it at like 12 🤣) all of this new modern stuff too that I probably never would’ve never pay notice to without motherhood…. Phewww what a relief getting to be a kid again Was getting pretty deep there drowning in the throws of depressing adulthood 😂😂😂 adulting sucks. I do not recommend.

But I do gotta say parenting is such a strange duality, on one side of the coin it is draining and consuming feels like it’s aged me quite a bit but all the wild simultaneously knocked 20 years off my life 😂🥲😜👧🏽👶🏼🙃

 Thank God my son is a full blown Pokémon trainer. I get to live out my childhood dreams through him buying all the stuff I never had way too many plushy’s and cards playing all the games. Running around throwing poke balls. Pokémon will never die. 😂❤️🤍🖤

Something I would like to add to this is that Pikachu was actually hypnotized at first but Ash snapped him out of it.

Well, I suppose he did know how to make Ash's Pokédex say what he wanted... and kept figuring out secret identities... and used one of Team Rocket's gadgets against them without Ash's input that one time... and also helped pilot a rocket when an evil Togepi hypnotized him.
