The Shaw Pack boys protect people as their job, like how scout fairies aim to protect pixie hollow

I chose animal for Gavin because I remembered when Rosetta was an animal fairy, the animals were just attracted to her naturally, if that makes sense.

Sam and Vincent are weak to the sun, like how frost fairies can't be too warm or else they risk breaking a wing.

Caelum likes doing arts and crafts as well as helping people. I thought it was perfect.

Book Recs

This is literally all over the place and I read a lot of diff tropes, I realize now I read a lot of dark romance which makes sense why Reaper is one of our best fics lol (maybe I need to write more dark harry? Lmk)

But here’s a mixed bag. I’ve read over 400 books in the last 2 1/2 years (again idk I go through them fast lol) and if you want more recommendations in certain genres I’d be happy to do so!

A lot of these are series recommendations as well because I tend to be a serial series reader and I’m trying to find more one offs so if you have any recs I’m so willing to read and tell you what I think!

Redesign and made some new dislyte Ocs! I love them all! Some of my old Ocs got scraped because they were added to the game so the first picture (Georgia, mars,Bobbie, vex and ombré) and Ester are the only ones I have left from my original batch. Riley, Damien, Rhoda and Asher are new.

Damien was made in collaboration with @sorrylostmysoulonthewayin who made his boyfriend yukio the esper of Jack Frost.

Darlin’ and Cutie (separate) HCs

For one of my favorite followers @ajfromabove ! Good job on your project! Hopefully these are good ^^

- Cutie is ridiculously tall, very noticeable height difference between them and Geordi.

- Tank does not snap off Kit-Kats or Hersheys, they eat both chocolate bars in 2 bites max. 

- They also have a tendency to not separate the paper on Fruit Roll-ups when eating them. You can imagine where I’m going with this.

- Cutie had a magic 8-ball as a kid that they keep around in their drawer.

- While at the Pack Solstice, Sweetheart scared the shit out of Tank, and this triggered their Fight-or-Flight response, which caused Tank to try and punch Sweetheart. The only problem is that Sweetheart was intangible, meaning Tank just punched a big ass hole in the wall. The solstice was at David and Angel’s house, so SH and Tank had to make up an excuse to leave at the same time immediately before David found out (because Angel didn’t care).

- Tank has shifted and chased their tail for 2 hours straight on their way to a pack meeting before. David found them on his way out the meeting still chasing it.

- Cutie has, and let me make this clear, the MOST RELAXING room ever. Remember when I said Lasko had surround sound speakers that play raining sounds and like 8 pillows? Yeah Cutie has all of that tenfold. When Geordi moved in with them, they had to sell some of it to make room, but they kept each and everyone of their pillows and bought headphones that play relaxing music.

- Cutie knows how to get rid of normal headaches easily. Whether it’s tea, medicine, or a nap, the max time they have a headache is usually 3 hours due to their tactics.

- Tank hasn’t been to the dentist in 4 years, but their dental hygiene is also through the roof.

- Cutie cannot, for the life of them, climb over a fence or jump over one.

- Cutie always dresses up as the same thing for Halloween, I just don’t know what they dress up as.

- Tank dressed as a Vampire for Halloween once, but the fake teeth they got was less sharp than their actual teeth so they didn’t fit, and they were pissy the whole day because of it. (Yes Sam has teased them about it)

- Cutie is a giggly drunk, who is extra flattery towards Geordi (You know those scenarios where Character A is drunk and goes “don’t talk to me my boyfriend is better” to Character B, the boyfriend, and is all flattered and blush-y? That.)

- Tank doesn’t usually get drunk but they’re the kind who gets drunk and then you don’t see them again the rest of the night.

- Tank does pull-ups like there’s no tomorrow, their biceps are NOTHING to joke about.

- Cutie had a parrot once but it passed a year before they met Geordi.

- Tank isn’t good at cooking but Sam is teaching them how. David takes offense to this because he’s offered to teach them how and they declined instantly. 

- Cutie has one of the best wardrobes in the cast. On par with Baaabe and Milo.

- Tank had made cupcakes once with Sweetheart’s help in their last Solstice before going to Washington. It was supposed to be for the whole pack but then they said they’re exclusively for David and Asher. The frosting had the same color palette as the gay pride flag (the blue and green one).

- Sweetheart had to make 4 batches of cookies after Tank proclaimed the cupcakes were only for Asher and David since they promised they were bringing something for the Solstice.

- Asher didn’t understand the reference behind the cupcake design but said they were pretty. David glared at Tank for the rest of the night and Tank burst out laughing whenever they made eye contact.

- Cutie and Sweetheart do know each other, or have at least heard each other’s names in passing.

- Cutie has a full morning routine that even Geordi is scared to break.

- Tank is terrified of pregnant spiders and calls them “Satan’s piñata’s”.

- Cutie fantasizes of living in a small cottage in the woods near a stream.

- Tank believes living in one of them is the fastest way to get killed and never found.

- Tank makes fun of people who bought blue checkmarks on twitter.

- Cutie loves all the Sims games individually (they only have Sims 4).

- Tank has played Minecraft with Angel ONCE. It ended with them fist fighting 3 zombies and a skeleton at once bc they refused to run away or get a weapon, and ended with them being killed by a creeper right after they won.

- Cutie has so much blackmail on so many politicians it’s crazy.

- Tank had a full group of friends in their old pack, which is why it took a while for them to warm up to the Shaw Pack.

- BOTH Cutie and Tank can pick up Geordi and Sam like they’re cats.

- Additionally, Tank has done the same thing to Milo, but only when he’s shifted.

- Tank would’ve used ChatGPT to do their essays back in high school if it existed. Instead they just never did their essays unless they felt like it.

- Tank was a skater through middle school and high school, and got a concussion once.

- Tank absolutely HATES the nickname Precious. Even the word makes their skin crawl. Only instance they’ll willingly stick around when someone says it is if they’re watching Lord of the Rings.

- Whenever they order pizza, Cutie leaves the garlic for Geordi because they know how much he likes it.

- Tank sucks the frosting off of cupcakes before eating them.

- Cutie used to watch MLP like their life depended on it.

- Tank has a BIG ass family, 7 of their family members live in Washington, the rest are kind of scattered around the US.

- Tank’s real name is something they consider “lame and  stupid” so they just go by Tank, and usually glare at anyone who says their actual name (Arden is the main perpetrator).

- Sam didn’t know Tank’s actual name until he went to the winter solstice and Arden came out of nowhere saying hi, and then their name. Sam was confused about who Arden was talking about. Tank slapped their hand over her mouth and started harshly whispering something unintelligible to her.

- Tank wouldn’t say who the name belonged to, so he went to Milo, who explained that it’s Tank’s actual name, they just don’t like it.

- He teased them with it once but that resulted in him being stuck under a shifted Tank for 3 hours.

- Cutie is photogenic as FUCK.

- Honey and Cutie have been friends since high school. Honey was extremely rude towards Cutie but they stuck around because they read their mind and realized Honey likes Cutie being around. It’s an Asher/David situation.

Headcanons for the Shaw Pack’s Favorite Weather Days

David: That first genuinely spring day, when seasonal flowers and greenery begin to pop up from the ground, animals skitter around in the forest, and days will begin to grow longer. It’s the start of a gardening season, which is something David is always ready to celebrate. Furthermore, the first day of spring holds a particular promise for rebirth and renewal for David. He likes that tangible experience of seeing nature survive, endure, and blossom into something new. 

Angel: A hot, sunny day. They thrive in the sunlight! The more scorching, the better. Angel handles heat very well, but more than that, they love how hot days seem to have that effect of slowing everyone down, including David, even just for a little while. Angel loves the way that hot sun has a way of making everyone a little bit more mindful and a little bit more comfortable wearing a little bit less clothing. 

Asher: One of those days that cycles through a variety of temperatures and precipitations. Asher has never felt strongly about any one specific weather type. He appreciates all the benefits that come with each type of weather. He enjoys walking through a rain shower. He also is ready to get a dose of Vitamin D whenever the sun shows itself. On those days that simply can’t decide what kind of weather to have, Asher feels like he gets the best of all possibilities, and he’s ready to make the most of it. 

Babe: A windy day in the beginning of autumn when the falling leaves fill the air. Babe loves to watch the bright leaves dance and sway in time with the wind. Not only that, but they love that surge of vitality they get when the wind gusts up behind them, as if the world is helping push them to wherever they are going with a definitive whoosh. 

Milo: A “just right” type of day. One where it’s not too cold, not too hot, not too humid, not too dry, not too windy, not too stale… The list goes on. Milo is not a finicky guy, no matter what Sweetheart says. Milo has high standards for himself and everything in his life, including the weather. He wants the climate to cooperate so that everyone is comfortable and happy, which leads him to want the weather to reflect that perfect type of day to bring everyone joy. Anything else? Not good enough for the people he loves. (Alright. Fine. Maybe he’s a little finicky, but only for a good cause.)

Sweetheart: A cozy, snowy day, when they don’t have anywhere to go other than right where they are. Sweetheart loves when the snow falls in big, wet flakes that make them feel like they are living in a snow-globe. They could look at snow-covered trees, streetlights, and anything else for days, moved by the glistening, majestic blanket that cloaks everything in its path. They marvel at how the snow appears so innocuous, but grows and builds up into something powerful and all-consuming. 

Darling: A still, silent, chilly night. Always a bit of a night owl, Darling likes to prowl around at night, especially when a thin layer of frost just barely forms across the ground. Darling values this weather, fleeting as it usually is, partly because it seems like the type of weather that everyone forgets happens. After all, by morning, the ground usually thaws and the evidence dissipates, not even noticed by most people in Dahlia. Darling cherishes the opportunity to notice the frost, to hear it softly crackle as they step upon it, grateful to know it’s there, even if the inherent beauty of a still, silent, chilly night is easily overlooked. 

Sam: A thunderstorm. Even before the sunlight hurt him, Sam always felt drawn to a loud, pounding thunderstorm. The pounding thump-thump of rain on the roof is the most urgent, concrete sensation that tells Sam he has a roof over his head to shield him from the elements. He likes to see the rain come down in sheets, a reminder that everything, even storms, have their place and purpose.

Darlin’ bites their nails and did their entire childhood, no matter how hard their parents tried to stop them

Darlin’ got bitches in highschool. They rode a motorcycle because their dad didn’t use it anymore and despite them being an antisocial nerd in disguise, they still had a lot of people that sought after them.

Darlin hates animals and kids but they always love them, so they end up holding at-least one child at every get together by force

Darlin’ is constantly getting bombarded by teens in the pack because they all think they’re super cool, they had to get used to giving advice on how not to follow in their footsteps

Darlin has a lot of random things their good at like playing electric guitar and dancing because their parents but them in a lot of different things in hope to keep their anger controlled

Darlin’ had tried every alcohol under the sun by age 16

Darlin’ smoked and drank a lot growing up, following their parents, but stopped after ending it with quinn because he’s the one that further encouraged that behavior in the first place and said it made them “more fun”

David drives a black 1967 fastback mustang

David can’t dance but Angel is always encouraging him when they play music in the house

Milo used to be a smoker, but once he found out that SH was against it, he quit cold turkey

Sweetheart speaks multiple languages (english, spanish, and ASL in my mind)

Vincent has piercings, but not as many as he used to. he only kept wearing the eyebrow, lip, and a few ear piercings but he used to have lip, nose, snakebite, and a lot of ear piercings

“Surpriiiiiise~” Angel says weakly, unenthused jazz hands presenting to David his poor, devastated kitchen. The microwave and the countertop beneath it are covered in congealed, copper goo, and the streaks of it across the floor and island make the scene look more like a murder den than a home. The alpha can only begin to imagine what his sink must look like when his angel takes a dejected seat next to the cause of this madness.

“I wanted to try making a mirror glaze cake me and Asher’s mate saw on Pinterest-” they whine, arms outstretched towards the splotchy white and pink thing on the counter. “-but the glaze isn’t even the right shade of red no matter how much color I add, and I tried pouring it on, but it’s too thin! So I tried nuking it in the microwave so I could mix it again, and…” Angel trails off, the energy draining out of their body as they properly take note of the bloodbath the room had become. “I wanted to make the cake for tomorrow’s Halloween party so you’d have one less thing to worry about.”

“You need to add black food coloring if you want it to be blood-red,” David says with deep, resigned exhaustion. A sigh, a deep breath, a look at the love of his life’s distraught face, and David rolls up his sleeves to lean against the counter into their space. “You microwaved the glaze, and it still didn’t stick to the cake?”

“No,” Angel sighs, looking at the rivulets of red dripping down the fluffy, white surface.

“That means there’s not enough gelatin,” David says with a confident nod. “You frosted the cake and chilled it?” They give him a despondent nod in return, and David returns the favor with a swift, decisive kiss to the top of their head. “That’s perfect. We’ll put it in the fridge, and we can scrape off the top layer to start new.”

“You’re going to help me fix it? You’re not mad?” Angel looks up at him with wide, adoring eyes that close blissfully when David leans down for a proper kiss.

“Of course we’re going to fix it, and it’s going to be good…” He graces them with one more kiss and an adoring, indulgent smile before shoving a roll of paper towels in their hand. “…this time. In the future, you’re on your own.”

The Shaw Pack and the "4th of july incident"

(this is a fic based on the hcs I wrote yesterday.)

"I still don't understand why this has to be at my house." I hear David say through the phone. "Asher, darling take the poor man off speaker." I say as I walk to the living room and sit next to him. "Well now that you're here I'm not going to." Ash replies. I roll my eyes with a smile. "Okay what appears to be the topic of discussion between you two?" I ask. "I told David that we're having the 4th of July party at his house and he doesn't understand why." Ash complains. "Well David," I say "out of all of the pack you have the biggest backyard and you've got a pool so it makes sense." I smile and hold Asher's hand. "Okay fine" David sighs. "I'll see you guys at 6." He says as he hangs up the phone. "You're a miracle worker." Asher says, completely shocked at what just happened. "I'm not a miracle worker I just know how to get through to him. I've known him for about 4 years now." I smile. "I've known him my entire life and it's never worked that easily." Ash complains. "That has to be a skill you have." I smile at his compliment. "I love you Ash." I say as I lay my head on his shoulder. "I love you too babe." He says as he wraps his arm around me and pulls me closer to him.

After about an hour of cuddling on the couch we finally decide to get ready. I put on my clothes and walk downstairs to finish frosting the cupcakes for the party later, while Asher's still upstairs. "Ash let's go!" I call up the stairs. "We're gonna be late!". Ash comes down the stairs ready to leave. "Okay, Okay I'm coming." I look at my watch "we're already 15 minutes late. Let's go baby." I take his hand and pull him to the car. "You're driving." I toss him the keys and get in the car. "Hey..." He looks at me. "Are you mad at me? I'm sorry for making us late if you are." I look at him. "How can I ever be mad at you?" I smile and kiss his hand. "Now go." I say with a giggle. "Yes lovely." He says and we drive to David's house.

Once we arrive, I get out of the car and walk to David's backyard. The whole backyard is completely decorated with twinkle lights and red, white, and blue streamers. I set the cupcakes down on the table and join the rest of the pack. "Hey" Milo calls. "Late as usual." I smile. "We we're so close this time but Ash takes forever to get ready." I say playfully. Ash just rolls his eyes and smiles. "I'm gonna go find David you two have fun." Ash walks away and I turn back to Milo. "Why do I feel like Ash is gonna try and prank David while we're here." I smile. "Because he would" Milo replies with a smile as we walk further into the yard. "You missed an epic grill off Between me and David by the way. I lost. Unfortunately." Milo says. "But no big deal. It was fun nonetheless." I smile "it sounded fun. Anyway let's start eating I'm starving." I smile as we walk up the table where all of the food was laid out.

As we finish eating, Ash walked over to where David was talking and we look up to see what's about to happen. "I bet 20 bucks he's gonna push him into the pool." I mumble. "You're on." Milo says. Just then Asher pushes David into the pool with a splash "Pay up." I say with a smile. Milo hands me the 20 dollars and says "okay, Okay you win." David looks like he's gonna kill Ash for the stunt he just pulled. "Asher..." David calls. "Yes Buddy?" Ash says innocently. Just then, David pulls Ash by the arm into the pool with him. "Be lucky you're my best friend." I giggle at what happened. "Ash you better hope you dry by the end of tonight or you're running home." I call. "Yeah, yeah" ash says with a chuckle. The rest of the night was spent playing games and lighting fireworks, and yes, Asher dried off.

Scrolling on his phone as he awaited the arrival of his guests, Asher didn’t have a stitch of clothing on him. He saw no point, not when his plans for the day were so salacious. On paper, inviting a group of women around so they could drink, do drugs and have sex was remarkably cliche for a rockstar, although Asher put his own 21st-century twist on it. After all the physical and mental exertion of his world tour, he just wanted to let go and not think of anything but what he was told when they finally got down to having sex. A need for Asher, the arrogant part of his brain also figured that the women would love having an acclaimed, heartthrob rockstar at their mercy. 

When he heard the front doorbell sound, Asher quickly got up from the bed. Wrapping a towel around his waist in case it wasn’t who he expected, he made his way quickly to the door. Through the frosted glass, illuminated by the LA sunshine, Asher could make out their familiar figures and he grinned, excitement already starting to flow within him. He got to the door and opened it, his grin growing as they were fully revealed to him. “Ladies…” he began. “May I say how lovely it is to see you all today?”

Asher: winter, specifically in northern Westerlin or Jezhan where there are dramatic evergreen forests and the lakes freeze over. They love seeing the sparkle of frost on the ground

Beaumont: they would like to say autumn because they like autumn leaves and the chill coming in, but in reality they don't like Westerlind grey lengths of time. Really they like the early summer before it gets too hot

Dominique: summer, they associate it with going on holiday and chilling out, and they find their mood is a ton better in the sunshine

Hyacinthe: late summer, just as the blackberries start coming out and the major heat of the summer has eased off, but there's still the possibility of thunderstorms

Javi: although they enjoy the snow in Westerlin, they like winter in Zaledo best - it's mostly warm enough not to need many layers and they really love Hearthlight in the desert

Trevelyan: spring, as the flowers start coming up and it starts getting warm again
