Just a prank

Synopsis: How the guys would react to you calling them 'just a friend' on the phone as a prank, but they are your boyfriend.

Manjiro Sano ("Mikey")

Listening in on your conversation was never Mikey's intention, but he was just so bored without you paying attention to him. However, when you said "I'm just hanging out with a friend", he snapped his head in your direction.

Just a friend? He stared at you open mouthed until the phone call ended. You looked at him with a questioning face. Keeping in the laugh that almost slipped was harder than you expected.

"Just a friend, huh? The audacity..." he leapt at you and started his tickling attack.

"I thought I leveled up when I asked you out back then? You better apologize, sweety." You didn't want to give in that easily but his hands had you laughing and catching for your breath in no time.

"I'M SORRY, IT WAS A PRANK! I'M SORRY. STOP IT ALREADY" He himself had a childish grin on his face as he stopped after your confession.

Ryuguji Ken ("Draken")

He was just coming back from the kitchen when he heard you talking to someone on your phone. Draken didn't want to interrupt your conversation at first and just put the snacks he got for your movie marathon on the table in front of you.

"I gotta go now, gonna have a movie night with a friend."

What? Did he just hear that right? He got demoted to 'a friend'? He is so not having it. He snatched your phone from your hand, hung up the call and before you could even ask what he was doing, he crashed his lips on yours.

He started a hot but quick make-out session that left you both panting heavily and after he pulled away, he asked "would someone that is just a friend do this?" His jealous tone almost made you laugh out loud.

You took your phone with a cheeky grin and showed him the conversation you had with your friend just minutes ago, where you asked them to call you so you could pull a prank on your boyfriend.

And boy did he blush. He called you an idiot and started the movie you wanted to watch before laying himself on top of you to cuddle while you combed his untied hair and traced after his tattoo.

Baji Keisuke

He was trying to study for an upcoming math exam while you left the room to pick up that call. However, you made sure he could still hear you talking.

"I can't today, I'm studying with my friend. Maybe tomorrow." You said. Baji got annoyed immediately, but he wouldn't say anything about it at first. You already thought you failed and he did not hear you.

"Hey, it's getting late. Could you drive me home?" Baji looked at you and snapped back "Nah, why don't you ask your ACTUAL boyfriend, cuz appearantly I am just a friend to you."

You burst out laughing. Seems like it actually worked. After confessing the prank you showered him with hugs and kisses to reassure him and he drove you home afterwards.

Matsuno Chifuyu

Chifuyu.exe stopped working... What did you just say? "I am hanging out with a friend right now, call you back this evening?"

Was it because he didn't kiss you goodbye last time? Or has he done something wrong today even? He couldn't think of anything in particular at that moment, so he did the only thing he thought would work as an apology.

"I gotta bring this book back to Draken's place. He needs it for an asignment. Be back in a second." He kissed the top of your head and grabbed the keys before walking out.

Thing is, he didn't go to Draken's place. He drove to the nearest store and bought a bouquet of flowers along with some chocolate. While he was gone you thought the prank didn't work at all.

Shortly after, he came home and gave you your presents with the sincerest apology. At first you didn't understand his actions, but after you figured it out you laughed, hugged and kissed him and told him about the prank.

Mitsuya Takashi

You guys were just chilling at his place. He was reading a book in his chair and you were on his bed on your phone.

"No I'm not home, I'm with a friend, why?" Mitsuya looked up from the book and glanced at you. He kept on reading until you eventually hung up the phone and walked over to him.

He stood up as well, faced you and took your hands. "Why did yu tell them i was 'a friend'? You aren't ashamed of me, right?" His eyes were on yours and his words were full of concern.

"No, not at all. It just slipped, I didn't think it was that big of a deal." His concerned and slightly anxious gaze turned much more light-hearted after your statement.

"That's a relief. I'd still prefer if you called me 'boyfriend' next time, love." He smiled warmly and then gave you a peck on the lips.

Hanma Shuji

He was somewhat glaring at you after he overheard you calling him 'a friend' on the phone. Hanma chose to give you payback as soon as you hung up the phone.

You initially came over for a gaming session and dinner, so you started playing right away. The whole time he called you things like 'bro', 'dude' or 'mate' and you have grown suspicious.

You forgot all about your prank and didn't connect the dots so your confused face felt like a victory to Hanma.

Right as his mom called you over for dinner, he got up, shut down his PC and gave you the bro-fist. "Good game, buddy."

Right then it clicked. You literally threw yourself on him and apologized for your prank. Hanma hugged you back, laughed and pat your head.

Trick or treat!!!!

innoooo hii! have some volleyball au brainrot (lets call it what it is atp, it's a haikyuu au) aka jegulus at the national youth trainings camp

Regulus is all the way over on the other field when it happens.

Not even on the opposing side from James, as in, on the same court.

They've been sorted into four teams, two practice matches going on at the same time and Regulus had just set up for a sprint, the balls of his feet squeaking against the linoleum.

It was the moment right after he'd jumped off the ground, arm stretched far behind his head and back arched. A millisecond in that made him go completely numb.

Cold.

Had him faltering mid jump, his breath held, wedged weirdly askew in his lungs. Wrong.

Something was wrong.

The snap resounded through the gym before Regulus' shoes were even back to touching the floor.

James' cry came only a blink of a moment later but Regulus was already twisting around to him.

Landing sloppily on the ground, tripping halfway. Stumbling. Pushing past his asigned teammates.

James.

James.

Another pained sound. Almost a wail. Strangled, high-pitched, wounded.

No.

He can't be--

Regulus doesn't see anything. Can't see anything.

He stumbles across the gym deluriously. It seems to take ages until he spots a flesh of ridiculously bright orange. James' shoes.

Regulus doesn't think, he just goes. Just moves.

In the back of his mind he's dimly aware of the fact that he pushes one of the national youth trainers aside to get to James faster. There is a boy curled around James where he's half slumped on the ground. A dark shirt, Dolohov maybe? Regulus doesn't give a fuck.

He yanks at the collar of the other boy's shirt, fabric making a sound in protest and the unimportant person yelps. Someone curses, someone else sounds pissed off. Words directed at Regulus.

Regulus doesn't care.

James whimpers as Regulus falls to his knees next to him on the hard linoleum. His expression is twisted with pain so much Regulus has never seen before.

Everything warps in the air around them. Doesn't quite feel real.

Wrongwrongwrong.

Regulus feels himself shiver before he even looks down.

There's a horrible sick feeling crawling up Regulus' throat, his head too light, his stomach turned upside down.

The breath he draws in is shaky and insufficent. His chest heaves and trembles and the only reason he feels that at all is because of the way James has a big hand fisted in the front of his jersey. Regulus clinging to his sweaty arm like it's the only thing keeping him upright.

He digs his blunt nails into the dips between James' knuckles, the other palm clutching at the older boy's shoulder.

"Reg," James sounds close to crying, and his eyes snap to chestnut brown ones. Their filled with tears and Regulus swallows against the feeling of throwing up.

Rasps something in response, he doesn't know what, squeezes James' hand.

The setter's head falls back with a whine as his whole body shakes and Regulus shushes him absently.

And Regulus braces himself, hold his breath and turns his head stiffly to glance down James' body but nothing could have prepared him for the absolute horror that is experiencing to see James' leg bent at the knee at an terrifyingly unnatural angle.

BNHA AU Idea - Aizawa Poppins

Ok so, this is an old one that I never really expanded on but it’s silly and fun, so it’s perfect for my city going into a snap lockdown : ) 

So, Aizawa is a very grumpy Mary Poppins. Inko and Toshinori and Ms and Mr Banks, Izuku and Katsuki are their kids, Izuku is Inko’s son biologically and Katsuki is a kid Toshinori adopted before he got together with Inko, so the two kids still aren’t really gelling together yet. Mic is the singing chimey sweep who follows Mary Poppins and fanboys about her lmao. 

Toshinori are Inko are both crazy busy and Izuku and Katsuki pretend to get along when they are there so they haven’t quite clocked it that the ‘bully’ hurting Izuku is Katsuki. Anyway Aizawa decends from the sky with his umbrella and just,,, asigns himself their new babysitter and tutor. Inko and Toshinori are so flustered by this they agree after only making sure he wasn’t a murderer or creep. 

Aizaw teaches Izuku to stand up for himself and teaches Katsuki to stand up for others. He also bonks the kids on the head with his umbrella when they do stupid things. Mic just keeps showing up at random points to moon and Izuku and Katsuki bond over how funny they find it.

Nagito Komaeda

➷ A really important test was coming, and Nagito already knew that usually,his s/o stressed a little bit to much... so... Even if he was self proclamed trash, he was going to help you with that.

➷ His first idea was studying with you, but in a place were you both were alone. So, he decided to go to your home. He had some food with him, thinking that maybe it could help you.

➷ So, you both started... The first 10 minutes were fine. You had Nagito by your side and he was paying atention to your behaivour... 20 minutes, he saw you started to cry due to a math problem

➷"I... Understand what you are feeling, and I want you to know that it is okay to ask for help... Maybe... We should skip this one and go to the next one? We can do this later, but first maybe eating something will relax you"

➷ You both taked a 15 minutes break. You asked you if you wanted to cuddle, and he told you

"You really want to do something with trash like me?"

"Ko, you are not trash... You are helping me..."

➷ After that, you started studying again, and Nagito's idea worked well. However he saw you hiting your arms and... He really, really worried

➷"S/O...!!! Y-You shouldn't hurt yourself that way... I know you are stressed but... Let me... Take care about that" He started to bandage your arm

➷After you both finished studying, he gave you a lot of kisses, and compliments. Maybe it would help you after passing so many stress.

➷"My hope... We should listen to lo-fi music when we study together again, maybe it will help you" He said, while you both were cuddling

➷ Nagito was still worried for your health, but at least he had saw you even if it was in one of your worst problems. Maybe, he could take care of you like you worried for him

Gundham Tanaka

➷ It was Tuesday, at night, both of you were working for a presentation. The window was open, the cold wind came in. Now... How did this happened?

➷ The same tuesday, at sunset, Gundham was determined to help you. Something inside him sayed that you were concerned about the project. He was determined to help you with it... and he was asigned with you. He could spend time with his dark (queen/king/ruler)!

➷ Until he saw you worried while writing the essay. Wihout knowing it, you were hitting your harms and crying a little bit. He noticed it, and started "using a spell, for keeping away that demon"

➷ You giggled a little bit, when he heared your laugh he covered his blush with his scarf. But it wasn't that bad for him, actually, he was happy.

"My dark angel shouldn't worry about things like that... Everything will be okay! I, the great Gundham Tanaka will use a spell to ward off the evil being that disturbs your peace"

➷ He was worried for your health, but at least he could make you stop! That is a good point. Maybe he will talk about it with you, but for now, he wanted to see you more relaxed

➷ Some time passed, and after that you started with the esay again. You started to get frustrated, and some tears falled from your eyes. When he first saw one, he snapped his fingers and the devas were already near you

➷ "G-Gundham... Y-You shouldn't worry that lot for me..."

"I am afraid it won't happen anytime soon" he was hugging you while he talked, his devas were getting really comfortable near to yoj

➷ After a while, at night, the work was done. Gundham told about trying to stop hurting yourself. He actually was worried, and a lot. He asked you a few things, trying to not invade your privacy

➷ If you didn't want to answer, it was okay. Maybe you weren't ready to talk about it and he respected it

➷After that,you closed the windows, it wasn't thaat late, so you and Tanaka talked about anything, telling stories. You both were asleep soon, and if you waked up earlier than him, you could see his smile.

Confusing feelings p.2

Pairing: Abe Sapien x OC

Summary: The Kelpie is brought to BPRD, but doesn't want to talk. Abe is called to get information through skin to skin contact, but he has other plans.

Warnings: talk about pollution (idk if that counts), injury, claustrophobia

A/N: So, I decided to make a second part to this, because it feels like I've read all Abe fanfics on this platform and this beautiful man deserves more love. This is very probably the last part, mainly because I haven't decided if I just want to put my OC in the plot of the Hellboy movies or if this is an AU. And when I decide, I'm going to write it on Wattpad, because I have this blog for oneshots only, I feel like making series here would just be messy. Ok, thanx for reading the rant no one asked for ^^

The cell was cold and dry. It didn't have any windows to look out from, so it must have been underground. There was a door, but it was locked, she already tried.

The Kelpie was confused. She didn't know where she was and neither did she know what everything around her was. The air felt different, so she couldn't be home. She wasn't covered in the black goo anymore, but her back was aching dully as she sat on the cold, hard floor. However, it was better then when she was moving. When she wasn't still as a statue, pain shot from her back into the rest of her body.

She tried to take in her surroundings. That didn't take a lot of time though. There were gray walls, gray ceiling, gray floor and the door.

Next she focused on herself. She remembered a great pain as she carried the girl into the lake. Unfortunately she wasn't able to see her back. She looked down. Around her chest was a white cloth and another piece of fabric was covering her intimate parts.

Panic shot through her like a bullet. She closed her eyes and took in a shaky breath. She couldn't concentrate on anything but how tight the fabric suddenly felt on her body. It brought up flashbacks, shards of memories burried deep in her mind. She felt tied up, the fabric becoming tighter and tighter every second and she couldn't breathe.

Although her eyesight was blurry with tears, she noticed the door opening and people rushing in her cell, coming closer and closer, trying to talk to her and touching her. But she couldn't make out anything but gibberish.

Abe was acting out of character ever since they came back from the mission in Scotland and agents were starting to notice. The first to notice his strange behaviour were his closest friends, Hellboy and Liz.

He couldn't concentrate for more than thirty seconds, his thoughts trailling off somewhere where no one could follow. Something was on his mind and nobody was able to find the thing, which seemed to trouble him so much.

But Hellboy was getting fed up. He wasn't angry at Abe, the only thing he felt for his friend right now was worry, but he has been worrying so much for so long he became angry at whatever it was that plagued Abe's mind so much.

But he had enough. Red decided he was going to keep an eye on Abe today, telling him It's a 'guys only' day today as an excuse. Well, it was practically the truth, he did want to spend time with Abe, Liz has been busy anyway. Manning called for her, saying he needs her, for what Red didn't know, nobody bothered to tell him. So yes, he really wanted to spend time with Blue, but he also wanted to try and get him to talk. He just didn't tell him that.

It has been pretty boring so far. They have been cooped up in the library all day and most of the time Abe was quiet. Red tried to keep the conversation with him going, but after a while of talking he realized Abe had spaced out. He was just about to snap at him, but was interrupted by his own girlfriend walking through the door.

"You wouldn't believe what happened!" she exclaimed as the door slammed shut behind her. Both men in the room looked at her in expectation. "So, Manning called for me, saying he needs help." she started explaining. "Help with what?" asked Red. "The Kelpie woke up." she explained. At the mention of the beasts name, Abe's head shot up. She had his undivided attention. "Really? You saw her? Where are they keeping her?" question upon question, he fired them at his friend without hesitation. "Why do you want to know?" asked Hellboy.

Truth was, nobody saw her after that mission. The agents that were asigned over her kept her somewhere, and nobody bothered to tell the trio where. Again.

"Manning said he needs her for experimantation." Abe said, his voice sounding wary and uncertain "I didn't like how he said it. I just want to make sure she's not being harmed."

And it was true. No creature, however evil it may be, deserves to be tortured. If it needs to be killed, its death should be as quick as possible. It wasn't the only reason he wanted to find her. He didn't know why, but he just couldn't get her out of his head. He couldn't get the image of her burned body, covered in the goo from the water, laying helplessly in the reeds, out of his head. When he slept, he could hear her small noises of pain and he wondered what her regular voice would sound like. He needed to talk to her. It was exciting to meet another water creature, even for a little while. He could ask her so many questions and maybe, just maybe the higher ups could let her live.

"Well and he told me she's freaking out. And because I'm a woman who is not regular like others, I might be able to calm her down. So I went there, but nothing worked. She's just shaking and crying and it's like she's lost in her own world." Liz ended her story.

Abe's heart squeezed in his chest "Do you think they harmed her?" he asked. "Why do you care? I don't get what's all the fuss for. It harmed Liz, It's dangerous, I'd just kill it before it attacks someone else." Red shrugged.

If Abe could frown, he definitely would "It's valuable to us right now. We don't know much about her species. We need her to calm down, so we can get information and then..." he realized he can't finish the sentence. He felt oddly sad at the thought of her, the only other water creature, being gone. Strange how one can get so attached to someone without even meeting them properly. Abe was confused.

As Abe was lost in his thoughts again, Liz and Red were chatting, until an agent came into the library. "Abe Sapien?" he called. When the said man didn't react immediately, Red nudged him and then he perked up. "Yes? Can I help you?" he asked. The agent nodded "Manning needs you. Follow me, please." he said and was already on his way out of the room.

Abe scrambled out to follow him and caught up with him. He achieved this at the elevator. The agent was faster than he seemed.

No one said a word throughout the whole ride. Abe watched as they went lower and lower, deeper and deeper underground.

The elevator stopped when they hit the lowest floor in the entire building. Abe has never been here, but there wasn't much to look at. They walked through a long, gray hallway, the only things around them being the lights above their heads. At the end of the hallway was a door. In front of it stood distressed looking Manning with a few other agents. They looked at the newcomers as soon as they heard them.

"Abe! Glad you're finally here." Manning sighed. Abe and the fast agent stopped at the door. "The thing inside is stressed and we can't find the reason why. I assume agent Liz already told you how her investigation went." Abe nodded his head. "Great. Your job is to go in there and get some information out of her by...you know, holding her hand or something." Pretty invasive, but alright. Abe thought. "Don't worry, there are hidden cameras, we'll be monitoring your encounter the whole time, so don't worry about anything happening to you." all of them then stepped aside and cleared out a way to the door.

The room was dim. Abe wondered if there were any lights he could turn on, but when he heard the quickened breathing, sniffles and strangled cries, he decided it wouldn't be a wise idea.

The Kelpie sat crouched down in the center of the cell, shaking in place. He aproached her slowly, but it seemed like she didn't even notice him coming in the room. Touching someone to feel their emotions was a pretty invasive method for Abe, so he tried to talk to her first.

But it was no use. She didn't even look at him. She probably didn't even know about him. Does she even remember me? Abe thought. There was no other way. He took one of her hands that was holding her knees to her chest and closed his eyes.

Nets. Panic. People everywhere. Chaos. She wanted to live. They were trying to catch her. She didn't do anything and yet here they were. They poisoned the water. Killed all the fish. She has been starving. They did it. It couldn't be anyone else. And now they were trying to kill her too. She thrashed, bit, screamed, anything to get her out of the tight ropes and nets. Anything to keep her alive.

He let go of her hand. "She's feeling claustrophobic. I need bigger clothes. Hellboy's Tshirt perhaps. And a medic please." he said to the dim room, he knew they were listening.

Watching her shake and quietly cry was painful for him, so he was glad when the medic came, Tshirt in hand.

They switched the lights on. Now he could see her. Her skin was pale, nearly white, her eyes and hair a deep dark blue that one could drown in.

Together they changed the Kelpie's clothes and put on the big Tshirt. They also took off her bandages and covered the wound in a way which allowed them not use bandadge that would wrap around her whole torso. It was harder than Abe thought, but they managed.

The medic then excused himself and left Abe alone with the Kelpie. Not like he minded much. After maybe a minute, her mind registered the change and she felt she could finally breathe properly again.

She lifted her head from her knees and looked around warily. She saw someone familiar. Why yes, he was there at the lake, the one who found me after I crawled into the reeds. She was scared of him and what would he do, but she was also injured and knew she can't run away from him here. She didn't even try.

So she just looked at him and said "Thank you." It must have been him who helped her breathe again. She looked down on herself. There was fabric covering her, it covered more skin than before, but she barely felt it. It felt rather nice, she realized.

"You are welcome." he replied with a smile "My name is Abe Sapien. You are in BPRD." She looked at him confused. "Bureau for paranormal research and defense." She didn't look much wiser. "Why is everything gray here?" she asked quietly. "I don't know. They were probably too lazy to paint this...room." he didn't want to say cell, even though he kind of knew that she knew. "They?" she asked. "The other agents." "Are they like you?" "No, they are humans." Her eyes widened. "Do not fret! I know how humans harmed you, but nobody will lay a finger on you here. I'll make sure of that." he tried to reassure her. It seemed to work, because she visibly relaxed her posture.

"Can I have some water please?" she asked very politely. He nodded his head and dissapeared through the door.

He came back with a glass of water. He sat down in front of her "I have a deal for you. I give you this water and then I can ask some questions. Alright?" "Can I ask some too?" she asked. "If you reply to my questions, I don't have a problem with it." and he gave her the glass.

Instead of drinking from it, she dipped her finger in it and splashed the droplets on her gills and hair, which dampened immediately.

"Alright. How were you born? Who are your parents?" She seemed surprised to hear this question. She thought for a while. "I think I was a human. But that was long ago, I don't remember my family." she looked at the ground. She was afraid she didn't answer correctly and now she won't be allowed to ask a question of her own.

But he didn't seem angry at all. "And how did you become a Kelpie?" She thought, again. He noticed when she did that, her eyes became distant, so hard was she trying to answer correctly and truly. It was sweet.

"I died. In the lake. And then...I woke up...like this." she looked at her hands "I don't really understand it."

"Can I ask now?" He nodded "Go ahead." She took a deep breath "What is going to happen to me?"

That was a tricky question. He didn't know. "We don't know for now." She just nodded her head obediently.

"Alright, next question. Did you attack the men because of revenge?" Her eyes teared up at the question. "I didn't want to hurt anyone, really." she sniffled "But they poisoned the water with the black poison and killed all the fish. I was hungry, starving, angry, desperate. I-I..." she couldn't finish.

"I'm sorry I am causing you so much discomfort, but only two more questions." she nodded her head again. "Why didn't you eat the hearts and livers?" For the first time she didn't hesitate to reply "It's in their honour, I think. The heart contains the soul and I didn't want to trap it inside of me. I just wanted to eat. The liver cleans the heart, so it keeps the soul clean. I think all Kelpies feel like this." she shrugged. "How do you know all this?" She shrugged again "I don't. I just feel it." He nodded his head "Alright, one more. Why did you attack our friend?" "The girl?" she shyly asked, he nodded. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I just...I panicked. You seemed to recognize what I am and I got scared. But she was already on me and she couldn't get off. I acted on instinct. I'm truly sorry."

He wanted to comfort her, he truly did. But he wasn't sure if he should. She killed two people, but her voice was like music to his ears, she was so polite and...He was so, so utterly confused.

"Do you want a name?" he asked her. It seemed like an appropriate thing to do. Her eyes brightened at that. "Yes please. Very much." she shyly admitted. He smiled at her. "How about Lynn? It's a name from The Brittish islands, where you came from."

Remus didn't really think about it when Logan yelled at him for liking a RWBY theory he didn't agree with and commanded Remus not to watch any other theory videos Logan didn't preapprove. Or when Remus said a song reminded him of them, and Logan told him he had ruined the song for him.

One day, Remus told Logan, "You never push me to do anything. I appreciate that."

"I don't, do I?" Logan said.

Logan asked for pictures again some time later. When Remus said no, he was tired and his sister was there, Logan asked if he could try. Remus said no again, and Logan kept pushing. Finally, Remus snapped, "I said no, stop asking!" Logan apologized and said he just got carried away.

But he kept doing the same thing over and over.

Once, Remus's mom found him crying in the middle of the night. He told her he had just listened to So Big/So Small from Dear Evan Hansen and it had hit too close to home. The truth was, Logan had been talking about Remus's parents like they were together, and Remus had tried to get him to stop because it upset him. Logan kept brushing him off, and had snapped at Remus after a bit.

Remus finally agreed to take pictures for Logan to get him off his back. But Logan just kept asking for more. With Marching Band and school, and now the things Logan asked Remus to do with his clothes off piling up like asignments, Remus was stressed out. Once, Logan threatened to withold affection if Remus didn't take pictures, which made it harder to say no in the future. Everything was always about sex, and Logan never wanted to hear songs in musicals Remus liked, even though Remus at least listened to all the songs Logan sent him. He loved Logan, but it was starting to be to much.

He was starting to get annoyed with when Logan would tell Remus not to make Indianna Jones references because, "Indy was his thing."

Then Logan wouldn't answer his messages for a day. He was back the next day, and reassured Remus he had just been at a friend's house. It was okay.

But then he disappeared again, this time for months. Remus was confused and worried and sad. Had he done something wrong? Was Logan cheating on him? Was Logan sick or hurt? Remus texted Logan often, giving him updates and asking if he was okay, to no response. He took pictures and sent them to Logan, because Logan had wanted pictures and if Remus gave Logan what he wanted, he might come back, right?

But Logan didn't come back for a long time.

It was the day before Marching Band Championships. His friend Virgil was upset about something, two friends were fighting because they both liked him, and Remus was miserable. And then, Logan texted him, I.... I told you not to text me unless I text you.

I'm sorry, Remus answered.

Never again.

I promise. I love you.

Logan didn't say anything else. Remus was lost and stressed, and sad. He hid and cried for a while. He didn't hide well, though, because everyone saw him, and checked in on him. He was making everyone worried. He was being a burden. So, he did the only thing he could think of.

He wrapped his hands around his throat and squeezed. But his body wouldn't let him deprive himself of air and just die like he needed to. Like he deserved to.

He prepared to try again. He started writing a note to his brother-friend, Janus, but didn't get too far. He made plans to try again months later. He heard from Logan again briefly before months more of silence. Then he found out that Logan was in the hospital.

Months more passed, and he heard from Logan briefly a few times. They talked like they were dating still, but their conversations were sporadic and Remus felt hollow all the time. So, in April that year, he ended things. Logan tried to get him to stay, but Remus finally stood up for his mental health and broke up with him, but agreed to be friends.

Remus laid down in bed and watched one of Patton's Tik Toks, smiling. He was okay now. He still talked to Logan, but he wasn't a mess because of him anymore.

There were bad things because of him sometimes still. Remus didn't like taking selfies. He had a hard time saying no to sexual things guys wanted to do, and there were intrusive thoughts lingering in the background of his mind still. Every time a friend said they liked Remus because he was so nice to him, he wanted to scream, "YES, I'M NICE TO YOU! I'M CHAOTIC AND STRANGE AND I'M NICE TO PEOPLE!"

But ha had moved on. He dated other guys. He was on the road to recovery. He was going to be okay.

Ahhhh I’ve wanted to write for Risotto for ages, thanks for requesting him!

Yandere! Risotto Nero

He probably finds himself falling for a random civilian who was kind to him one time. He’s a scary looking dude so when they didn’t get intimidated or try to run away from him, he was pleasantly surprised

Finds himself thinking about them often and wondering what they are up to. He really wants to meet them again but he has to focus on his work so he doesn’t have the time

One night, on his way back from a mission, he happens to see them walking home and so he decides to follow them. He tells himself it’s just to repay the favour of them being kind to him but deep down he knows it’s to quench his own curiosity

Once he finds out where they live, he finds himself frequenting the area often to keep an eye on them. He may come out of the shadows once or twice to see if they notice him and he will be elated if they come over and talk to him

As soon as they tell him their name, he’s researching everything he can about them using all the resources accessible to him. Of course he could’ve found out their name without them telling him but he didn’t want to accidentally let it slip that he knew it in the middle of a conversation

As he learns more about them and talks to them more, his stalking becomes more extreme. He starts neglecting his work to follow them around and even pushes jobs personally asigned to him onto the other members of La Squadra

His usually stoic face becomes more relaxed when he’s watching them and he may even let out a smile when talking to them. When they complimented him on it, he was on cloud nine

When he sees them hanging out with other people, male or female, he gets insanely jealous and when he sees one of their friends hug them he finally snapped

Being the call of an assassination team came in very handy for eliminating all rivals. Not a speck of evidence was left behind

He couldn’t express how happy he was when they came to him for comfort after finding out about the passing of their friend

After that point, more and more of their friends started to go missing or were killed in some way, some of their deaths were even chalked up to suicides. However, Risotto was always by their side ready to comfort them. They started to get suspicious that he may have something to do with this and so they started to distance themself from him

One of the things that attracted Risotto to them was their sharp intuition, but this was a situation that he didn’t appreciate it

Deciding that he couldn’t risk losing them, he let them think that he had disappeared from their life for a while. They were relieved when those around them stopped dying but little did they know that Risotto was always around

When he felt that they believed they were safe, he kidnapped them and left no traces behind. He sent messages to all remaining friends and family that they were ‘taking some time away’ and then emailed their job that they were quitting and wouldn’t be coming in anymore

This gave him plenty of time to place them in a secure area far away from help and get them accustomed to their new ‘home’

By the time anyone started worrying about their whereabouts, it was too late to find any clues of where they were

HTK-218,666/DC is my designation, I am a clone Horde trooper of the Delta Calos devision. I am 7 seconds old. 7 seconds ago I first opened by optics and I was greeted with a world of toxic waste green. 7 seconds ago my heart started beating, 9 seconds now. I register the concept of time.

My nervous system switches on and now I feel. Cold. I am suspended in fluid. Green. Or maybe not. Not sure. Motory functions engage. First instinct is to pat against the glass wall, no push, no hit, punch, break. I feel fear for the first and last time in my nigh perfect life. I wanted to escape, claustrophobia, an illogical thought process, gone now. 16 seconds now.

The cloning tank I am in fizzes and opens. I fall to my feet. The fluid rushes out, escaping it's cylindrical mold. It pures into the drains infront. The multiple cordes holding me up disconnect from my body. Something's wrong. My body falls dumb. Bones ache. Skin iches. Something is wrong with me. I'm a... a... the word, the thought vanishes from my mind. Erased. The pain is gone. The nervous system is switched off. Strange. Or is it?

I hear a voice in my head, my voice, no, yes, our voice. It tells me to stand. I fell no ground, but I push myself up. I fail over and over again. Why can't I stand? What's wrong with me? Is there someth-... I stand up with the aid of a fellow brother. His hand grasped at my shoulder pulling me up. His claws leave deep marks in my skin. A green liquid drips out in a slow stream. It doesn't hurt. I feel nothing. Why? I do not feel curious to follow that thought process.

My brother shouts at me in my head. I follow him. I am given clothing. Yes, white, grey and green robes. Though they look black and green in my optics. Regulation atire. No differenciation or alteration of the uniform is permitted. To maintain order. Small things such as these cannot slip by, freedom in such a small aspect can snowball very fast. A domino affect.

Freedom is contagious. Infectious. Sickening and an illness. And that cannot be allowed.

A quote contructed by my voice, but not ushered from my own lips. An almost mocking tone came from higher above. -Mocking? No. No. Not mocking. Brother loves us. He's the only one who will ever love us. ...I am informed by another brother through my thoughts that I will be punished with whipping for 7 rotations for the statement I thought about my Brother. I apologise. A sign of weakness. 9 rotations are added on to my sentence.

I complete putting on my robes. They do not seem heavy, nor protective. A formality rather than an armour. Armour is equipped during battle. Infact our hide should be protection enough from most firearms. I am given a tray, what is presented on it, I do not know. My brother orders me to take the tray to section A-1. A-1? As in right next to A-0, the throne room? Which Force-General would order such substances? Or perhaps Brother is having guests. Rare. But not unlikely.

I hurry to the destination, walk speedly through the corridors. They all look the same. Every turn lead to an image of a silvery, stark white hallway. An unfamiliar guest would easily get lost in them, but every clone has full scematics of any ship they are aboard to aid with the navigation of troops efficently through the maze-like warmachines. The warships were designed this way on purpose to discombobulate any boarding parties and escaped prisoners. Rare. But not unlikely.

On my way to the guest room, I pass many of my brothers on my way. All our faces are motionless, never moving, never showing weakness no matter what climate or atmosphere. Emotionless, never showing signs of temptation to sin through freedom. Brother says freedom is disorder. And disorder leads to imperfection. And Brother knows all. Brother knows best.

I am not curious.

I'm not supposed to be. I ignore most voices around me, just regular maintinance and mission reports. Telepathic communication is highly effective. Far more than verbal communication. And only the highest of ranking brothers were given the authority to breath and vibrate the air molecules in Horde Prime's presence.

10 minutes since my construction. I am now 10 minutes and 3 seconds old as I buzz the door and a youthful alien specimen answers the door. The look in her eyes I do not think I will forget. The expression on her face was haunting. A malestrum of mental states I cannot comprehend plays across her face. Her eyes widened.

The young female organism has a feline DNA base. A thin woman covered in golden brown fur, a damaged theara and a dark, crimson and black uniform covered in cuts and... burns. A lot of close calls with laser weaponary apparently. The guest is, I presume, a native from the planet we are orbiting.

Now I'm curious.

Why have I not recieved any information about life forms or about any invasion proceedures. ...Perhaps it is because I am not asigned to a landing party. Then what is my purpose? Too curious. Not good. I realise she is still staring at me, frozen. It is quite unerving. I forward the tray in her direction infront of her. She seems to snap out of the gaze and takes the tray into her own hands. My mission is complete. I step back and turn to the corridor.

"I'm sorry."

I turn back to face the female. The door slides shut. What an odd statement. I can't recall ever meeting that life form. I have only existed for 12 minutes and 35 seconds. Strange. However, I do not ponder this any longer as one of my superior officers commands me to The Briefing Chamber. And 13 minutes later I'm correct. I am not commissioned to a landing party. Well not for this 'Etheria'. I have a different mission. I am being sent to the frontlines. I am 25 minutes old.

A/N: Oddly intense for a Chekov story, but an absolute blast to write. 

Your chest burned with every breath. Your feet ached. Your lifestyle did not accommodate for a lot of running and your shoes showed it. But you couldn’t stop. You kept you skirts bunched up in your hands and out of the way of your legs as you sprinted through the forest.

“Princess?” a man asked from behind you

A high pitched scream left your lips before your could stop it. You dropped your skirts and sucked in a breath, composing yourself, before you turned around.

“I do not know who you are,” you told the three men standing before you, “but I must warn you, I am armed.”

“There’s no need for that,” one of the men told you. He was blond and undeniably attractive, even if he was an alien. Holding out a hand, he took a careful step towards you. “We aren’t here to harm you. We’re here to protect you.”

“I have just escaped my execution arranged by my own mother.” You squared your shoulders, staring the man down. “You will excuse me if I’m not in the trusting mood.”

“Christopher Pike sent us,” the blond said.

You stumbled back in surprise. “How do you know Christopher?” you asked, still not ready to trust them.

“He served as our captain for a time,” he answered.

“Aboard what ship?” The blond opened his mouth to answer again, but you stopped him, pointing at the younger man to his right. “You. Tell me what ship.”

“The U.S.S. Enterprise,” he told you. His accent was different than the other’s. It was almost indering.

You sighed. “I know that ship.”

The blond took another slow step towards you. “My name is James T. Kirk, current Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Christopher sent me to ensure your safety back to Earth.”  

“I am afraid you will not be succeeding in this mission, James T. I will not be returning with you to Earth.” Giving him a firm nod, you turned and continued on your way, your steps were slower and more deliberate now. “It was a pleasure to met you.”

“That’s not going to work for me, Princess.” You didn’t stop or even slow down as he began to argue with you. “I don’t fail.”

“Captain, I have had a long day,” you told him as he matched his stride with yours. “I have lost my father and possibly my thrown. Whether or not you maintain your perfect mission track record has not made its way onto my list of priorities.”

“What about your life?” he asked.

Now you stopped, turning to face him. “I will not sacrifice my people’s well being in order to maintain my own. As a captain I would have expected that you would have understood that, but perhaps Earth customs are different, so allow me to explain. On this planet a ruler does not abandon her people, simply because times hard. She does not leave them to fend for themselves under an unjust monarch. So I will not be fleeing.”

“What do you call what you are doing right now?” the younger man asked.

“Chekov,” James hissed under his breath.

“I call it living to fight another day.” You fixed the folds in your dress and clasped your hands together. “Now, if you will excuse me, the men who have remained loyal to me upon my father’s death have set up camp in the northern woods. I mustn't keep them waiting any longer.”

The Captain opened his mouth to speak but his subordinate, Chekov, stepped in front of him, holding his arm out to you. “Please allow us to escort you.”

You eyed him, attention flitting between his face and his arm. And then, remembering how dangerous these woods could be and that you had lied about being armed, you took him up on his offer, wrapping your arm loosely around his. He carefully placed your hand on top of his arm, leaving his hand on yours. He turned slightly to his captain. You knew he was counting this as some sort of win, but you ignored it and continued walking.

The other two men spread out, their hands resting on their weapons. You kept your eyes front. Despite their unusual dress, they were a comfort to you. It was far from unusual for you to have an armed guard.

“Why would you mother want to kill you?” Chekov asked in a hushed voice, most likely wary of how his captain would respond if he could hear him being so candid.

“She does not believe that I have an honest claim to the throne,” you told him.

“But you are the princess.”

“I was born before my father was married.”

“You are a bastard?” His surprise made his voice rise ever so slightly.

“Chekov!” James snapped.

“No, it is alright,” you smiled lightly. “He’s right. My birth parents were never married. The Queen is my step mother. She married my father when I was only two. I have always thought of her as family. I believed she felt the same way. I was naive. I see that now.”

“She raised you, Princess. It was not naive of you to trust her,” James said.

“Yes and we see how that turned out.” You lifted your chin. “Trust should not be given so freely. It is not a mistake I will make again.”

Chekov’s hand squeezed yours.

The leaves crunching beneath your feet seemed louder in the absence of conversation. The wind blowing through the trees adding to the sound. The peacefulness of it started to set you at ease. Then there was a change. A shout sounded, distant but clear.

You stopped, listening.

Another shout followed.

You wasted no time untangling your arm from Chekov’s and lifting your skirt again to prevent you from tripping as you spritened deeper into the woods. The men called after you but you didn’t stop. The forest got lighter as you ran and it wasn’t hard for you to figure out why.

You smelled the smoke before you saw the flames. You could just make out the royal crest on the side of a tent before it was engulfed by fire. Moving through the camp, you dropped your skirts and coughed into your arm. There were fewer bodies than you had expected and for the first time you hoped it was due to a lack of loyalty.

A soldier towards the middle of camp caught your attention and you dropped to your knees beside her. Carefully, you pulled the helmet from her head. Her dazed eyes focused on yours.

“Was this everyone?” you asked, dropping her helmet so you could hold her hand.

She shook her head weekly. “Some escaped. You are no alone, Princess.” Her voice was week and her hands shook as she pressed her weapon into your palms. “Do not let her win.”

Her eyes slipped closed for what you knew to be the last time.

With a shaky breath, you touched your hand to her forehead and closed your eyes. Wiping a tear from your cheek, you rose and walked back through the flames.

“Princess,” Chekov panted as the three men ran to met you. “Are you alright?”

“The Queen has lived too long without facing the consequences of her actions.” Your grip tightened on your soldier’s weapon. “That ends tonight.”

“Are you sure that this is a good idea?” Chekov asked behind you.

“Chekov, you are not going to get anywhere in this universe, if you do not learn to listen. I have already explained to you how this is not a good idea nor is it safe, but it is my only option.” You looked back at him. The dim light he held in the dark tunnel caused odd, harsh shadows to be cast across his face. “It is still not too late for you turn back. I will not judge you for-” He shook his head and you stopped speaking.

“You are not doing this alone.”

“You hold no stake in the out come of this day. You have no reason to risk your life.” Your mind had wandered to his reasons for being there several times over the last eight days, while he had stood by you as you planned your attack, but you couldn’t fathom why you were suddenly choosing now to bring it up.

“It is the right thing to do,” he said simply.

You stared at him a moment longer and the comforting smile that had graced his features every time you had looked at him during meetings over the last week lit up his face. All you could think to do was nod, turn back around, and keep walking.

“Are you scared?” he asked.

“No,” you said without hesitation.

He was quiet for a second before he asked, “But are you actually?”

“Yes.”

“You are going to win,” he said matter of factly.

“And I suppose you now possess the power of extrasensory perception.” It was a rarity that you had anyone that you felt free to joke with, more so since the death of your father, but you had quickly found yourself feeling at ease around Chekov, enough so that you could joke with him.

“Maybe,” He snorted. “I have served the Captain long enough that I know he will always be on the winning side. Even when it seems to be the losing side, it is the winning side.”

“That does not-”

“Winning side.”

“But I do not-”

“You are the winning side.”

“Alright,” you chuckled.

The light in your hand seemed to grow heavier as you reached the end of the tunnel. Within in an hour, one way or another, this would all be over. Either she would be in prison or you would. It was too late you to go back. Your plan was already put into action. All there was left to do was for you to follow through.

Taking a deep breath, you knocked on the tunnel entrance, the opposite side of a portrait of your great grandfather. After a moment or two it opened and one of your loyal knights helped you into the castle hall.

“Everything has been going smoothly, your Highness,” he informed you, as Chekov tumbled out after you. “The Queen’s guard is being taken care of as we speak. You should be able to enter the throne room any minute now.” With a low bow, he held your blade out to you.

Lifting it from his hands, you gave him a stiff nod. “Thank you, sir. You have served me well, but the day is yet to be over.”

“I will see you on the other side,” he said, before going to join the battle that raged in other parts of the castle.

Your gaze followed him until you could no longer see him and dropped to the weapon in your hand. You didn’t move. For a moment you forgot that you could. Then a hand landed softly on your shoulder.

“There is going to be a victory feast after this, yes?” You looked up at Chekov, who was grinning at you. “I am starving.”

“Yes,” you said hesitantly, trying to figure out how anyone could be thinking of food at a time like this, “there is usually a feast after a victory.”

“All we have to do to get a feast is take back the kingdom?” he asked, the smile still on his lips. “That is nothing.”

You shook your head, but smiled and headed towards the throne room. Chekov snickered quietly as he followed you, clearly proud of himself for getting you to smile despite your anxieties. You paused at the double doors, again looking at your new found companion. Bodies laid at your feet, but you kept your attention at the task at hand and the boy who stood a step behind you. Chekov raised his phaser in response and you pushed the door open.  

“Ah, (Y/N),” your step mother greated. “I was beginning to think that you would not make an appearance, hiding behind your trator army like the coward your father raised.”

“I do not see you donning armor to join your troops, mother,” you sneered.

“It is not my place,” she dismissed.

“Neither is that.” You gestured at the throne she perched on with your blade. “Your reign is over.”

“That is not your call to make.” She nodded at her guard and he stepped forward.

“Chekov,” you ordered, but clearly you didn’t need to. He already had his phaser pointed at the man as he walked towards him. You turned your attention back to the Queen. “I believe it is my call. My birthright gives me greater claim to the crown than your marriage certificate. My trator army, as you so eloquently named them, has taken down your defences. You have already lost and you have no legal standing. You can either step down willingly or I can start my reign with your blood on my hands. The choice is yours.”

She bowed her head in defeat, but before you could enjoy the victory or make your next move, her voice rose with a command, “Kill the boy.”

Her guard wasted no time rushing at Chekov. He tried to stun the large man, but missed and wasn’t give a second chance. The guard’s hands were on him in a second. His phaser drop from his hand, sliding across the floor. You picked it up.

“You stupid, foolish girl,” the Queen started.

“Oh, shut up, Mother.” You fired the alien weapon and she fell from the throne.

You weren’t given the time to admire the poetry of the moment as a strangled cry left Chekov. Without a second thought, you launched yourself at the guard, wrapping your arms and legs around his back. Keeping your blade tightly in the grasp of one of your hands, you smacked the man on the head with the phaser hard enough that he released Chekov. When the boy fell to the floor, you tossed his weapon back to him. Without him or his weapon in your way you were able to bring your blade up to the large man’s throat. As you tried to come up with something clever to say, he ran backwards, slamming you into the wall. Your head tossed, but you kept the blade up, pulling it back. Just as you felt it slice into his neck, he rammed you into the wall again. The force of the movement threw your head back and it slammed into the wall. You lost your grip on the guard and slid to the floor. The world went dark. The last thing you heard was Chekov yelling.

“Just let me in!”

A whine slipped from you and you closed your eyes tighter against the light streaming into your room. You just wanted five more minutes of peace. The sleep you were slowly waking up from hadn’t be restful and you were desperate for more.

“Princess?”

You realized that you had no memory of going to bed.

“Let me see her!”

Opening your eyes, you found you were not in your bed chambers, but the castle infirmary. The events of the past couple days came back to you and you sat up.

“Careful, my queen,” a nurse said, coming to your side. “You took quite the tumble.”

You brow furrowed. “Queen?”

“Yes, dear.” She poured you a glass of water.

“We won?’

“I don’t want to hurt you,” someone said outside the door.

“Then let me in!” You recognized that voice.

The nurse chuckled. “That boy has been trying to get in here since he brought you in.”

“Allow him in,” you ordered. As she went to the door, you sat up a little straighter and fixed your shirt, trying to make yourself look a little more put together before he came in.

The second the door was opened Chekov was sprinting across the tile floor to your bed. Before you were given the chance to great him, his arms were around you. It took you a moment to respond. Your arms hesitantly moved up and wrapped around his torso. Letting out a contented sigh, he pulled you closer.

“You scared me,” his accent was thick in his hushed words.

“I’m sorry,” you said in response. “I did not want him to kill you.”

He pulled back, but didn’t stray completely. His hands stayed on your arms. “If you died this whole big thing would mean nothing.”

You leaned forward, resting your forehead against his. “Victory would mean nothing without you.”

G nodds and holds the two cables like ryad told them to,he begins to solder the broken copper fibers with tin.

But to no avail no electricity flows trough them.

-Dont tell me i have to replace the whole sistem again!-

-I dont think you have to , let me try something- gerichos hand envelops the broken cables,they whisper something and they give jackal the two cables back they are intact- try it-

Ryad turns on his device, electricity runs smoothly and the lights on the eyenox lit up.

The spaniard stares at the device dumbfolded.

-Do uh..do you want coffee?-he looks at them amazed.

G cant help but smirk at how impressed jackal looks.

After a couple of hours of talking, finally sleep catches up to gericho,as jackal talks he feels a head resting on his arm, he looks over and finds his protege asleep.He chuckles and lays them on the bed, he kisses their forehead.

EruptionFang’s video on Bumbleby (Love or Hate)

I just watched his video and he addressed some things fairly most of them we already knew.

He says he doesn’t like the relationship aspect when comes to media which is his opinion but he contradicts himself when he complains about them in his videos.

Shipping isn’t like giving the creators a ticket and expecting it to happen that’s not what it’s about, it’s basically a platform for people to support the concept of a relationship and should not hold sway on the development of the show, for instance Adam didn’t die for the sake of promoting Yang and Blake’s relationship, that’s not fan service it’s storytelling because if you keep addressing every moment as pandering then you���re not allowing the story room to breathe.

He mentions “What does it take away?” Basically addressing that Yang and Blake value each other more than Ruby and Weiss, which is not true. He brings in the scene when Yang grabs Blake’s hand thus not caring for the others inside which isn’t fair she knows that Ruby and Weiss are not weak and that they can do this.

RW and BY were asigned to each other as partners first before being combined into team RWBY so depending on the circumstances their partners should come first but that doesn’t mean they devalue each other.

Again he somewhat views a lesbian relationship as a sexual one which is somewhat telling on the way he views things, I have no problems having a same sex couple with men so it’s not fair for him to say the writers wrote in Yang and Blake’s relationship because it sells better rather than having two guys. I disagree because it was a personal decision of the creators to put it in, it wasn’t there to gain recognition but because they wanted to put it in the story it’s part of it, it’s not there for the sake of fan service.

Such relationships in my opinion shouldn’t be praised nor condemned but just considered as something normal like you would with a heterosexual relationship, The world of Remnant presents this aspect beautifully in its execution with the characters treating Saphron and Terra just like anyone, no favours, no slurs just formal respect.

Bumbleby isn’t ship baiting since the clues have always been there, but people complain that Sun should be with Blake, but she’s made it very clear that she has no interest in him numerous times, it doesn’t help his case that Sun has stalked her numerous times. The first following her back to Beacon and waiting for her outside at night, the second breaking in RWBY’s dorm which is an invasion of privacy, and the third following Blake across Vale for months without his team supporting him which is questionable, he probably didn’t want to drag them into the situation since Blake opened up to him about the White Fang. She’s slapped him three times and has become frustrated by his constant actions breaching her privacy and has snapped at him numerous times which doesn’t really translate to romantic feelings, but I will admit he’s been very supportive of her even if he tends to trip from time to time and I have even more respect for Sun as a character when he addressed that he wasn’t helping her in exchange for a relationship but because he recognised that she needed help even when she didn’t ask for it.

In Yang’s case it’s different and more intimate their romance at the moment is told through their eyes not their words, Yang couldn’t help Blake because she didn’t know where she was, and to say that she didn’t care is not fair on her because she was distraught by Blake’s departure.

Bumbleby isn’t a ship, it’s a relationship that this story wants to tell, accept the story or leave it.

I will no longer address EruptionFang anymore since he’s made his views quite clear on RWBY as a whole but it’s not his story end of discussion.

1. The Move

There was an intense buzz of activity in the Manor. Normally it was a rather quiet affair but in the past few weeks it had been anything but quiet. It was even less quiet now thanks to the outside sounds of the city. It was driving some of the inhabitants crazy already but the Master assured everyone they would get used to it.

Leon just watched as his house mates were busy working. She had her sketchbook out casually sketching everyone as they moved about, unpacking boxes, bickering over where things went, and some of the more testosterone bloated members fronted against each other as they got in each other's way and snarled at each other because they were stressed about the whole move. The only reason she wasn’t helping was because the Master had asked him to document the move instead. So he was. There was something called a ‘camera’ he could have used here in ATLAS but she didn’t know how to use one and she didn’t like them very much either. Everyone looked so stiff in a ‘photograph’. She much preferred a drawing. That and it let her boss her house mates around and tell them to stop moving so she could check out their body shapes.

She sighed when, again, Bray and Rei started arguing in the foyer over something. She wasn’t sure what it was and he couldn’t really hear what they were saying but he could hear their petty, heated, argument.

“Sup, Lee-lee,” Sanya flopped down dramatically next her, acting extra exhausted.

“What are Rei and Bray on about now?” Leon asked, sketching out the hallway which has been decorated by Laudwine with furniture and artwork from the Master’s collection. She didn't look at Sanya, focused on what she was doing.

“Who gets what room,” Sanya said with a roll of her pale purple eyes. “Rei wants the bigger room-

“But so does Bray. Of course,” she said quietly. “I don’t know why it matters so much.”

“You would say that,” she teased. “You aren't banging anyone in it. The boys need a big room to hold their egos.” That made him giggle.

“Not like Rei will ever be in his. He’ll find an excuse to just be in Nephilim’s all the time.”

“And where do you want to stay?” Sanya asked.

“I told the Master I would like the attic. Far away from all you fuckers and it has some very lovely natural light. At least as lovely as you can get here in the Expanse,” he sighed wistfully. She already missed the bright light of the Ruins or the clear light of the Plateau.

“What is this nonsense!” Leon grimaced when Fayne yelled over both the bickering men. “Shut the Shade up and get back to work. We have important guests coming tonight and the Master expects this place in order.”

“Oh dear. Sounds like poor Fayne is quite stressed,” Sanya said, leaning against Leon even as Fayne stormed around the corner out of the foyer. The butler’s hair was a bit askew, which was a first, and his eyes full of fury, not a shock. “Sanya, what are you not doing?” he demanded when he saw Sanya.

“Keeping Leon company, Fayne darling,” she cooed even as she slid away from Leon’s side.

“Do not make me yell at you like I already had to do to those two imbeciles the Master finds worth keeping around,” he growled.

Leon watched as Sanya went over to Fayne and put a hand on his chest. “You need to relax, Fayne, darling,” he said.

“Not now Sanya,” he said through clenched teeth.

“Leon,” she called sweetly, “do you think Fayne is too stressed?”

“His horn will rot at this rate,” Leon said.

“Do not patronize me, Leon,” Fayne snapped but wasn't pushing Sanya away.

“Me?” she asked innocently. “I am but a humble artist and I am doing the job the Master asigned me.” Fayne growled wordlessly at him. “Perhaps you could use the distraction.”

“Do you want to watch, Leon?” Sanya asked, her spade tail curling around Fayne’s ankle.

“No. I have work to do still. And it looks like you have some now too.”

She grinned at Fayne, “See, even Leon thinks you need to relax a little.”

“We have guests,” he said.

“Tonight, Fayne. We have guests tonight. And you know the Master would be very upset if you worked yourself into a nightmare,” she rubbed his chest slightly. He looked down at her with slightly narrowed eyes. She just smiled sweetly at him. “You aren’t at your best when you’re stressed,” she added cutely.

“Sanya,” he growled a warning.

“It won’t take but a few minutes,” she promised. Leon knew Fayne was trying to act all grumpy and moody about it but he didn’t miss the way Fayne’s tail was curling around Sanya’s.

He made an annoyed noise in his throat. “Oh stop acting like you don’t want Sanya to polish your horn, Fayne,” Leon piped in.

“You stay out of this,” he pointed harshly at Leon. He just giggled and looked away from them to go back to finishing her drawing of the hallway. He glanced over to the side when he heard the two leave, probably going to one of the empty rooms. They were barely in there a minute before she heard Bray and Rei bickering again. She sighed deeply before getting up and going to find somewhere away from them to draw.

When It Shines Like Gold by flares

Nothing felt different physically when Zayn touched it. No glow, no sound, no spark or whatever. But Zayn feels as if he’s been flung out of orbit, everything inside him spinning wildly on its axis.
