❤️➡️ @assets4artists Grants for Massachusetts artists! ❤️➡️ https://linktr.ee/assets4artists ⬅️ Applications are now open for our 2023 Massachusetts Capacity-Building Grant Program. A cohort of 12-14 artists will be selected. Cohort members will receive: $3,000 + a variety of professional development and community building resources. The application is simple and the deadline is April 17! Program details at the link in our bio. This year’s program will be open exclusively to artists who currently identify as any of the following: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color), active caretaker (of a child or adult), immigrant, veteran, LGBTQIA+, previously incarcerated or living with a disability or housing insecurity. This year's eligibility guidelines were determined through consensus by our 2023 Statewide Advisors, a group of five program alumni from different disciplines and regions of the state. This approach to program design is part of A4A's “for artists by artists” approach to supporting artists and creatives. ❤️ @assets4artists (Instagram) 🎉Fellowship Opportunity for a 2023 Residency for Oregon Visual Artists!🎉 ❤️ https://linktr.ee/assets4artists ⬅️ Supported by The Ford Family Foundation, the Oregon Visual Arts Fellowship at the Studios at MASS MoCA is awarded to two visual artists from the state of Oregon. The fellowship funds a four-week residency plus accepted artists are awarded a travel stipend. To qualify for this fellowship, you must be (1) a visual artist who has evidenced five or more years of active professional participation in your medium, (2) have lived in the state of Oregon for at least 36 months prior to applying, (3) not currently enrolled in a degree seeking program. For the purpose of this award, “Visual Arts” include a broad array of work designed to be experienced primarily in an exhibition, installation or object-based environment. Media or other work intended to be web-based or theatrically viewed is not included in this definition. To apply, simply select the appropriate box on the fellowships question of the General Residency application (link in bio). There is no separate application for this opportunity. ❤️🤍 @assets4artists 🚨Brand New Fellowship Opportunity!🚨 ❤️🤍 https://linktr.ee/assets4artists ⬅️ At the Studios, we recognize the barriers parents of young children face when looking to attend artist residencies. Because of this, in 2023, we will award one family fellowship for a Massachusetts-based artist(s) and their kid(s) who are entering grades 1 - 5 at the time of the residency. The awarded artist (or artist-couple) will receive a fully funded 2-week residency where they will have full run of a 3-bedroom apartment, and the use of up to two studios on the MASS MoCA campus. The selected artist will receive a $1000 stipend. We have also reserved slots in MASS MoCA’s “Camp Kidspace” to provide care and entertainment for the artists’ children on weekdays during their 2-week residency. For this Fellowship, we are specifically prioritizing families with children entering grades 1 - 5 so they can take advantage of the summer art camp opportunity. This residency opportunity will only take place from August 9-22, 2023, to coincide with the Camp Kidspace schedule. We thank @sustainablearts for supporting this year's Parent Residency. To apply, simply select the appropriate box on the fellowships question of our general Studios residency application, and provide information about your family situation where requested. There is no separate application for this opportunity.
