“Why bother telling you when I could just show you?”

Your fingers seemed to lose their grip on the plate, clattering into the sink loudly.

What? He did not just say that.

You turned to gawk at Seonghwa before stuttering, “H-Huh?”

He was nonplussed as he met your eyes, repeating, “I could just prove you wrong. Actions speak louder than words, no?”

Was he fucking serious? Seonghwa offering to show you how he could make you squirt?

“Hwa, you…you’re joking, right?”

“I’m not.”

Judging by the look on his face, he really wasn’t.

Feeling a heat begin to creep up the back of your neck, you tore your gaze away to grab the plate, picking it up and checking to see if it suffered any damage from your slip-up.

“Come on, be for real right now. I can’t do that.”

“You can’t let me touch you or you can’t squirt?”

You almost threw the abused dish back down as your head whipped up to fix him a flustered glare.

“Both! One, we’re friends. Two, I’ve never squirted and I never will.”

Seonghwa gave you an equally stern look, firing back, “We’re both single and it would just be between the two of us. And have you ever even tried?”

“N-No, but—”

“So how would you know?”

You pursed your lips, feeling a wave of frustration mixed with defeat overcoming you. He had a point. He could probably tell by the look on your face that you knew this, yet he didn’t gloat or prod you further. Seonghwa just kept watching you and waiting for your next defense to come out. But it didn’t come for a while as your mind raced with thoughts, coming up with one that threw you off-guard.

Would it really be so bad to say yes?

“There’s still a chance for you to back out, Y/N. It’s your call.”

Seonghwa’s body language was pretty clear in what answer he really wanted to hear. The way he continuously brushed his thumb over your knuckles and looked deep into your eyes let you know how much he was looking forward to this experience.

And yet he still gave you full control over it.

A grateful smile couldn’t help but stretch over your lips as you completely made up your mind. Your palm turned over to still his wandering thumb, scooting closer until your knee touched his own.

Leaning in, you whispered into his ear, “Show me what you can do.”

First 'I Love You' With Ateez (Gender Neutral)

Hongjoong

It was date night. Nothing fancy, just a night in, but with a boyfriend like Hongjoong, even that was one of the most beautiful evenings you could imagine.

He squared off one of his building's balconies, draping the whole thing in fairy lights. He gathered an assortment of the most delicious hors d'oeuvres he could find, laid them out like art on a little table for you too, and finished it off with some of your favorite dessert from a little corner bakery you two had been dying to try.

You ate, you talked, just catching up on your days and your goals, Hongjoong’s free hand occasionally traveling across the table to run affectionately over the arm you had rested there. It brought a shy smile to your face each time, which brought a proud one to his in turn.

When your meal was finished and your conversation had lightened, Hongjoong rose from his chair, crossing your little paradise to a speaker, which he turned on to play some music. He made his way back to where you sat, stopping right next to your chair and extending his hand.

“May I have this dance?”

How did you get so lucky? “Of course,” you breathe, placing your hand in his.

He pulls you up, steadying you by the small of your back as his other hand slides out to hold yours. The music is soft, intimate as you sway together and gaze into each other’s eyes. Several songs pass like that, each blending into the other as Hongjoong draws your focus, expertly turning and dipping you, even stealing a kiss on one of them.

Finally, as one song ends, he speaks again. “There’s something I want to tell you.”

“Of course,” you whisper, daring not to break the fairy-lit magic of the night.

“I’m so glad you’re mine,” he says, and that’s when you know the magic will never break, not when you’re here with the man of your dreams, “you’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met. My hear, my muse. I love you, (y/n).”

Not a thought is needed before you reply that you feel the same, that you truly are his and only his. If you had any doubts, the smile he gives you shatters them completely, replacing them with the same butterflies he’s always made you feel as he pulls you flush against him. You’re barely dancing now, but neither of you care.

“What a beautiful night,” you gush.

Hongjoong turns, a hand tilting your chin towards him as he leans in all the way. “It’s trying to compete with you.”

Seonghwa

What did Seonghwa do to deserve someone like you? Someone who made him tea, sat with him while he built legos and recorded his ASMR, someone who gifted him with the greatest, most natural and unadulterated laughter accidentally recorded into said ASMR mic, someone who sent him the cutest pictures with encouraging words every day just because he was on your beautiful mind. How lucky.

With you, he felt...light. Euphoric. Like he was shown more and more sides of a big heart every day that you took care of him. And darn it if he wasn't going to be the one to take care of you, too.

He claimed the dorm kitchen, shooed any potential intruders out. Googled all your favorite things, made sure he wasn't missing a single bit of it. Called you and told you to be over for a surprise, that he couldn't wait to see you.

And tell you how much I love you, he wanted to say, but that was to come later. For now, he had work to do.

You arrived just as he finished, making the way toward the kitchen with widening eyes, first at the smell, then at the sight of Seonghwa laying out your favorite meal at the table, which was centered by a vase of your favorite flowers. With an exclamation of endearment you shuffled across the kitchen, jumping into his arms for a big hug.

"I know today was a long day," he told you, "so I wanted to surprise you. Make sure you didn't have to lift a finger for dinner after it all."

"Seonghwa, this is amazing," you breathed, making him smile with the way your body visibly relaxed, "I- I-"

"I love you," both of you said at the same time.

You felt your eyes widen, saw Seonghwa's do the same. Your hands shot up to your face in surprise, fell to reveal the big, gorgeous smile he loved being the cause of. Reaching out his arms once more, he pulled you into his chest, holding you gently there against his beating heart.

"Thank you."

"You're the one who did all this, I should be thanking you," you protested, though you made no effort to leave his embrace.

You feel his head shake on top of yours, the motion ruffling your hair a bit. "No, thank you," he insists, "you've just given me a much better gift. Now, what say we enjoy some dinner, hm?"

Yunho

Yunho knows he loves you when even a text from you changes the trajectory of his day. He knows he loves you by the way you know him so well, remembering every little thing about him. He knows he loves you by the way your smile is the first and last thing he wishes he could see every day.

He knows he loves you, now all that's left is to tell you. He asks you out to a nice dinner, and beyond your pleasant surprise at the proposed fancy outing, you don't seem to catch on to anything special. Yunho's just glad you can't feel how rapidly his heart is beating, even though he knows it's all anticipation. After all, once the decision came to his head, it was as natural as breathing, one of the easiest he's made- it feels right.

You walk into the restaurant dressed to the nines and the sight takes his breath away. It seems to show, and he's glad, because as his eyes land on you you give him the biggest smile, fondness and gratitude already present in your eyes. Yunho wants those things to always stay there when you look at him.

When he tells you he already ordered your favorite appetizer, you clap adorably. When he presents you with the bouquet and the pearl teddy bear, you light up even more, shining brighter than the crystal chandeliers adorning the ceiling.

"Yunho, this is all so wonderful- what is it for?" You finally ask.

He was going to wait until after dessert, maybe even until your goodnight kiss, but he's swimming in the highlights of your eyes and the opulent walls of the restaurant have faded out completely and he can't help himself. The moment is right.

"Because I love you," he replies simply, "no other reason than that."

You take his breath away again, this time by launching yourself half out of your seat and into his arms, crushing him in a hug he's happy to reciprocate. You're both warm, you're both giggling, and your scents are pleasantly mingled as you speak again.

"I love you, too."

Yeosang

Yeosang wasn’t sure what he was doing, but he was sure why he was doing it. Shifting the box in his hands, he reached one up to ring your doorbell.

Your eyes widened at the sight of him standing at your door, but your lips immediately curled into a smile that went straight to Yeosang’s heart. If he had needed any more encouragement, he’d just gotten it. “Surprise!” He exclaimed sheepishly.

Your eyes travelled from his down to the white box he was holding. “What’s this?”

“It’s a surprise,” he teased, “you have to let me in to find out~”

“Oh, right,” you chuckled, stepping out of the way, “I’m sorry. Please, come in, go set it down! I hope it wasn’t heavy.”

Even if it had been, it would have been well worth it. Your adorable look of surprise, the way your home smelled just like you- even if that was weird to say, it was true and Yeosang loved it. Resting the box on your table, he swiveled to face you, to reach for your hands at your sides.

“I wanted to share this with you,” he told you, nodding at the box when you gave him a confused slight frown.

“Alright,” you nodded back, eyes not leaving his, “what is it?”

Fumbling toward the table, his hands found the top of the box. “I hope you love it!” With a proud smile, he unveiled the most beautiful cake you’d ever seen. Pink and white ombré frosting was piped along the top and bottom and dotted with heart-shaped sprinkle. Edible glitter dusted the white top, which had gorgeous calligraphy swirled on top. I love you, the words read.

Your hands just shot up in surprise. “Yeosang, I… this is beautiful. It’s really for me?”

“Well, as long as I get a piece too,” he replied, giggling as he pulled you in closer by your hands, feeling his heartbeat pick up the longer you went without addressing the words, “what do you think?”

You finally peeled your eyes off the cake, and when they fell on him it gave him all the answer he needed, the dull thud within him crescendoing into a soar. Your gaze darted between the loving stare he’s giving you and a bit lower, sliding along his profile eagerly.

“Well, I didn’t prepare a cake, but hopefully this’ll do as an ‘I love you’,” you answered, one of your hands leaving his to find the small of his back, bringing him as close as you could get him as passionately kissed him.

He giggled again when you separated, one of his hands gently playing with your hair.

“You’re sweet,” you whisper, doe-eyed at Yeosang’s affection.

He leans in to press his lips to your cheek. “Speaking of sweet…”

“Yes, we can cut the cake now.”

San

Complete and utterly lost in you- that's the only way to describe how San feels. There are city lights and a gorgeous breeze and the smell of the sea all on different horizons of his little orbit, but they're barely perceptible in the face of your laugh, those eyes that San doesn't know what he did to earn such looks from. All he knows is that he wants to do it again and again in this life and the next.

You're warm at his side, an arm tucked in his as you stroll along the beach, another successful date in the books. You're telling him everything you love about the sea, how powerful it feels to you, how close to the very forces of nature themselves, and all San can think of is how you're describing is how his heart feels in the presence of yours. He can't keep this to himself.

"I know that feeling," he says.

You smile and his heart bursts all over again, his arm tightening just so around yours. Just enough to pull you a little closer.

"Right? The ocean is such a magnificent creation, it's just-"

"No," he shakes his head, "it's something far more beautiful."

Your eyebrows shoot up. "Oh? What's that?"

"You. You're far more magnificent than the sea could ever hope to be, and my heart feels just as drawn to the waves of yours."

Your free hand rises to your chest. "Wow. Is that from a book?"

He shakes his head again. "Just from me to you. Too much?"

"Oh, uh, no," you stutter, an adorable, just-barely-visible in the night's dim light flush dusting your cheeks, "I just wasn't expecting you to get so poetic."

"Neither was I," San laughs, reaching up to pinch your warming cheek, "but being in love makes us do funny things."

"It sure does," you agree, "like this."

Your free hand rises again, this time to smooth his hand over your cheek, holding it there as you kiss him. San releases his grip on your arm to pull you in closer by the waist, wasting no time in returning the passionate seaside kiss.

"No, seriously," he tells you as you pull apart, forehead resting on his, "I really love you."

Your gaze falters a little, but you smile wider and echo his sentiments as his hand finds yours, pressing them in their joined state over his heart.

Mingi

"Don't you want to finish the movie?"

Your whispered words tickle Mingi's cheek and the side of his neck as you lean down to his horizontal form. You two have a love seat to yourselves as Ateez hold their movie night, the film about halfway through now. Mingi, though, has just laid down, his head having drooped against you a few times before he stopped fighting it.

"Mm-mm," he shakes his head against the love seat cushions, snaking his arms against your waist to pull you closer into him, "you're comfortable. Better than the movie."

Having already been half laying down, you surrender, dropping completely to your side to assume the position as Mingi's little spoon. As soon as you've done that, though, he turns you around in his arms to face him, nestling his head in the crook of your neck and shoulder. Warmth rises to your cheeks at the feeling of his breath, leading you to exhale in a little chuckle as you reach around to hold Mingi, too.

"Well, good night, then," you tease, tilting your head to close your very tiny gap with a peck on his lips.

"Good night. I love you."

You briefly stiffen in his hold, leaning back to see if he's fallen asleep already, just saying whatever in his stupor. The moment you scan him, though, his eyes open wide, one falling shut in a wink. Suppressing a giddy laugh, you just smile, settling back down and snuggling even closer to him.

"I love you, too, Mingi."

Wooyoung

The stars hang high in the sky and everyone is fading fast save for Wooyoung and you, his other half. His better half, if you ask the rest of Ateez. The one who manages to simultaneously pump him up and calm him down.

Except right now, there's no calming him down-it's the last song of the night, but despite its many predecessors, your boyfriend is as hyped as if he'd just picked up the microphone. Grinning, you glance at the screen, expecting a party song, so surprise flits across your face when you see Wooyoung choose a song from a musical. He points at you with a wide smile, beginning an ostentatious, goofy comedic love song that has the other seven guys cringing and groaning.

You for your part just pick up a microphone and give it right back to your boyfriend, matching every sweep of his arm, finger heart, and ridiculous miming gesture as if you two had coordinated. He turns it into a skit, your singing melting into a very corny sung conversation that has your audience shaking their heads in amused exasperation. Only those two, you see their mouths saying, and that gives you a rush of joy. They may be embarrassed, but to you, it shows you that there's something special about you and Wooyoung.

He feels it too, clearly, as he grabs you and dips you the moment you finish your thought, sending a chorus of cheers soaring over you two.

"That was so much fun," he leans down toward you.

"It was," you agree with a big smile, gazing into his eyes.

"We play so well together," he continues, leaning even further.

"We do," you all but sigh, anticipation fluttering in your eyelashes.

"I love you." Your noses are almost touching now.

A fiery wave of joy crashes over you and you can't help yourself any longer, your hand finding the back of his head to tangle in his black locks and pull him all the way into you. Even more tired exasperation and mock-disgust sounds off around you, but beneath the dim purple light of the room and the dreamy red haze cresting your heart, you can't care less. They get a show.

"I love you, too," you whisper as your lips separate, Wooyoung's hand on your back gently raising you to your feet, where he wraps both arms around you.

Jongho

"Thank you for agreeing to this," Jongho says, turning to face you, to get a look into your eyes.

"Agree to this?" You snort. "You make it sound like some sort of procedure, not a date."

A smile rises to his lips. Alright, he'll give you that one. It did sound a little funny. "Well, not everyone enjoys going on hikes."

"With you, someone could sit us down and read us the phone book and I'd still have a good time."

Jesting as they are, something about your words strikes a cord deep within Jongho's fluttering chest. They're playful, but they boil down to a very specific essence what your presence is to him: comforting, the highlight of his day, easy, the joy of being in his element no matter what the situation, what went wrong, simply because it was you.

Should he say something?

"Well, come on!" Before he can, your fingers are intertwining with his, pulling him forward along the trail. Laughing, he picks up the pace behind you, stopping just as suddenly when you reach the trail sign and take a selfie with him.

Life with you is an adventure. Ugh, that sounds corny, Jongho thinks, but it's so true and he has to admit he loves it. No, not it. You. He loves you.

The hike is quiet, peaceful for the most part. Every now and again, one of you will point out a butterfly or a bent tree, stop to take a picture, crack a joke. No pretense, just the bracing air, the sunshine, and your hand in his. Jongho's heart is beating a little faster, but you aren't on a strenuous enough trail for him to play that off as exertion.

Soon enough, you reach the top, the trail bottoming out into a meadow of waving grasses dotted with adorable little wildflowers. Jongho stops to take it all in, but you run headfirst in, frolicking like a deer set free, and he can't help but smile and give a fond shake of his head as he follows you. When he reaches you, you've picked a mini bouquet of the tiny pink and yellow flowers, holding it so gingerly, clearly having the time of your life if your expression of pure joy is anything to go off of. Once again, it's like cupid's arrow is shooting straight into his heart.

"Isn't it cute? ...Jongho?"

He'd been staring off into space. Heck, he still is. You're not used to the dreamy look in his eyes, and it still feels new to him, but it takes him over anyway. "I love you."

Your jaw drops. "What?"

He blinks, snaps out of his love-drunk state a little, but all that does is return the words to his chest with a new fire. "I love you," he says, this time more loudly, firmly. Proudly.

You giggle, clutching your flowers a little tighter, still a bit giddy yourself. "And somewhere so beautiful, too?" Your eyes are shining more than ever, full of more love than Jongho had ever seen them shoot his was. "I love you, too. So much!"

The moment you turn around, he's ready to catch you, pulling you up from your hug until your feet lift off the ground and you give a little squeak of surprise. It's all a little corny, a little sappy, and yet as your foreheads, and then your lips, meet, all Jongho can think is how perfect it all is, how all he wants is to feel you in his arms.

i can't believe light was inspired by the absolute bread crumbs that i threw into your ask box like i had to go back and read what you could have even taken from that lmao 💀💀 what's crazy is that i remember being 🤏 so close to adding light to my favorite ateez songs (mostly bc of that yunho fancam iykyk) but yes, seonghwa is just soso made for angel fiction, it's woven in his dna.

speaking of light!seonghwa, your explanations do make much more sense now concerning his romance arc and the dynamic with reader. i'm also very prone to bad-boy-blindness so 😔😔 i can fix him frfr (reader is a scientist after all). and omg the sequel ideas, i think it'd be time to bring that betrayal arc to life. reader.. cleans up the angel with dr. choi's help and then he rids of them and all otherworldly messes they left behind once and for all. & goes public about his (and reader's) research under a heroic preface. 😈 and since the angel ended seonghwa's business by then. they can fight it out in heaven or hell, wherever they end up. everyone's happy ever after?

it's like the answer was there all along. if everything/everyone has evil and good inside of them of course there isn't one or the other to find balance with each other. only out-doing each other's evilness/goodness. 😮‍💨

bad-boy blindness is so real, me as the writer had it and then i had a few days off from writing in between and that's when clarity hit me-- that seonghwa is supposed to be the villain, the baddest. he gets no redemption, and that is his tragedy. and omg not you going strong with the betrayal arc AHAHAHA i mean... greed is a real thing. reader had it. dr. choi def has it too. he's capable of doing that heuheuheue. i don't think we could ever get a happy ever after in this fic tho 😭 we did it with hala hala we couldn't do the same thing here :')

last song I listened to: Back to ZEROBASE by ZEROBASEONE, a song that could be three times as long as it is and i would still think it should be longer. excellent vibes. the thick harmonies are so fun to sing with.

Oh my gosh I can’t believe I’m so late to the party but I finally had time to read Spring Tides and ohhhhhhh myyyy gosh!!!!

1. I’ve missed your universe so much! I’m about to reread all of ltm again because I’ve missed it so much and this was such a wonderful treat that I didn’t realize I needed!

2. Wooyoung finally got rid of the shackle! I’m so happy to see the little sunshine finally put it behind him and be free! He absolutely deserves it!

ESP woosan (their matching tattoos in ltm drive me and loren BONKERS I swear we talked about them for like two whole days) but every member of atz has some kind of tattoo in ltm and I'll start slipping in references to them as the story goes on xD

Hongjoong Unique Nicknames

In writing an earlier post, I came to the conclusion that, out of all the members of ATEEZ, Hongjoong would be the most likely to look up/find nicknames in other languages to call his s/o because he would want the nickname to be unique. This mans doesn't want to call his partner something common or generic (or simple)!

I can see him falling reeeeeally hard when he finds 'the one' and to him they are ethereal, stunning, unique, one-of-a-kind (no1likethem😤) and he would want to address them as such.

Seonghwa smiles at you from the other side of the room every now and then, eyes uncontrollably trailing up and down your body when you aren't looking, biting his bottom lip. What he doesn't notice though, being too focused on you, is the members giving him funny looks.

"What kind of Kdrama is that-" They whisper to each other and snicker in amusement while watching the situation unroll. Seonghwa finally realises they caught him when Wooyoung laughs squeakily, a bit too loudly. He turns around to find them all huddled together, eyes fixated on him and stopping everything immediately.

"What?" He asks, voice full of disinterest, not feeling embarrassed one bit. The others though are shocked to see him acting so unbothered, clearly having expected for him to show the slightest sign of discomfort. Yeosang speaks up first, seeing that none of them would anytime soon. "Why are you looking at her so intensely? No offense but you kinda look like a creep dude."

Seonghwa gasps at the accusation, trying to smack the back of the boy's head, but getting stopped by a protective Hongjoong. Instead of succeeding, he receives a slap on his ass and instantly glares at a winking San. "Fuck you all! T-that's- I don't really look creepy right?"

"Umm, no no-" Yunho quickly tries to reassure him, the sweet boy he is not wanting his hyung to be hurt, but he's quickly cut off. "Yes you do! It's so embarrassing just to watch honnestly."

Jongho confesses with a whiny voice, he hates having to see them all act that way, feeling goosebumps rise on his skin everytime. Mingi hits him in the side with his elbow, hoping to make him shut up. "I mean- It's ok maybe she's into that.. she.. seems to.."

The youngest's eyes move around to get one of them to help him, but Hongjoong just signals for him to cut it off. Seonghwa seems sad now, head down and playing with his fingers. "You didn't look weird hyung, it's fine really! Those little bitches just don't know how to flirt and make a girl wet. I'm sure she's clenching her tighs together right now imagini-"

Yunho claps his hand over San's mouth to stop him from talking any more. They all look around to make sure no one heard before making eye contact with each other and bursting in a fit of laugher.

💙Kim Hongjoong💙

Hongjoong writes lyrics about you and somehow he let the secret notebook full of them lay on the kitchen table, the curiosity of his members being a disadvantage to the poor leader. He was too exhausted to realise he forgot it there and went to sleep.

Jongho's the one who finds it and he isn't really the type to be noisy, the complete opposite actually, but his curiousity got the best of him this time. He reads every word and with every passing seconds, his cheeks become a deeper shade of red.

He's caught red handed by Wooyoung and San, just the people who he shouldn't show it to. It only takes a few whiny complains from the two and Jongho puts the book in their hands. Bad idea, because once they're halfway through, immediately they shout the owner's name. "Hongjoong-ah~ Come see what I found, you won't believe it!"

The boys giggle and poke each other with their elbows, making fun of their leader together, but of course not in a bad way. "Yah who the hell's disturbing my precious sleep!"

The smaller boy screams, eyes half opened and hair messy, definitely looking like he just got woken up from a way too short nap. He glares at the guilty ones, cursing with his eyes. The rest of the team joins the four full of confusion. "What's happening here?"

The mom of the group asks with a bit of concern, having seen Hongjoong grumpily get out of his comfy bed to come see the loud men. "Oh- Seonghwa look! look!"

San pushes the notebook in his chest, but Seonghwa can't even react with how fast Hongjoong rips it out of his hands and tries to make a run for it. Unfortunately, Wooyoung holds him back and the others help without knowing the reason. "Hongjoong here has a crush on-"

"On Y/N yes so what! You didn't have the right to go through my stuff like that!" He angrily shouts, feeling like they didn't respect his personal space by doing that. The three quickly apologies to their older friend. "We're so sorry it won't happen, promise!"

Hongjoong nods, accepting their apologies, even letting Wooyoung hug him. San and Jongho stay a bit more behind feeling bad, but Hongjoong reassures them saying that it's ok as long as it doesn't happen in the future. Yeosang speaks up this time, with a teasing voice. "So you're in love huh captain~"

💛Jeong yunho💛

[You can read this if you want, it's the prequel to this reaction]

Yunho takes his jacket off when he enters his dorm, walking into the kitchen to find the other members who came home a few hours before him. They're chatting loudly, each having a task at hand, preparing a late dinner together. "Yunho you're back! So what happened, who was it?"

"Was she pretty?" The four youngests bombard him with questions and push each other to get to the tall boy while the three oldests watch them being chaotic. Yunho laughs at the change of atmosphere from earlier, there was a lot more people present today at the shoot, but somehow the boys manage to be louder and more agitated. "Everything went perfectly."

"Actually... It was more than perfect~" The seven boys look between one another to Yunho full of curiosity, they all can see the look in his eyes that they've never seen before and the way he speaks makes it even more suspicious. "Ok man you gotta spit it out now! What the hell happened for you to look like a complete lovestruck hoe!"

"Wooyoung!" Seonghwa scolds the smaller boy, scoffing and shaking his head at his choice of words while some of rest snicker and join on teasing the giant puppy as well. "Big softie here probably couldn't even look at her in the eyes pft- Ahhh!"

San finds himself on the floor after Yunho shoved him down the chair, smirking at him with a mocking glare. The bigger one pretends like nothing happened and takes his place, sitting at the table and starting another conversation. Yunho is obviously trying to change the subject, but San decides to be a litlle shit and push further. "See he's even too embarrassed to talk about i-"

"We made out! Almost fucked her against the wall too, but sadly we got interrupted." Yunho bluntly says while looking at San straight in the eyes, smugness clear in his voice. Seonghwa's eyes widden, head whipping around with his mouth hanging open in shock, the stirring of the meal stopping completely. Hongjoong just jiggles at the whole situation, almost falling back from his chair. Yeosang turns away looking flustered, neck and ears flushed from hearing one of his friends say that. San blinks a few times before registering the words and instantly looks everywhere but at Yunho. Mingi grins, his eyebrows raised with a bit of surprise, but mostly proud of his best friend. Jongho rolls his eyes and stands up to join Seonghwa at the oven, completely discarding the conversation. Wooyoung's reaction gets everyone's attention, being the loud boy he is. He cheers loudly before proudly slapping Yunho's back. "That's ma boii!!"

Yunho's ears are red with embarrassment despites being so confident a few seconds ago, he curses himself in his head for wanting to show off. "So who's the lucky girl huh?"

Mingi's question makes them all wait for the answer impatiently. Their eyes lay on the boy while he debates whether he should tell them or not, sighing in defeat he lifts his head and smile uncontrollably. "Y/N."

With that one name coming out of his mouth, the boys all excitedly congratulate him for finally meeting you personnally and moving forward so fast.

💜Kang Yeosang💜

You're talking with Yeosang and the others are watching the interaction. Never having seen the usually shyer boy acting this way, it only makes them more interested.

"Thank you.." Yeosang scratches the back of his head, shyly thanking you for complementing his performance earlier. He's being all polite and tries to look more confident by complementing you back. "You look really beautiful today! I mean- you always look pretty- gorgeous actually and- and- Ok I'll stop talking now sorry-"

He fails, but it only makes your interest grow and you reassure him by ruffling his hair when he hides his face in his hands, bending forward just enough for you to reach up easily. "It's ok I understand Sangie, thank you! You look breathtakingly handsome too I might say~"

"T-thanks" He stutters a bit and his cheeks are bright red with embarrassment. His heart fluttered more than it ever did and he can't even look into your eyes, being way too nervous to do so.

It only gets so much worse when he notices all of his members gaze on you both, his eyes widen in shock at having been watched for so long without knowing. They saw him get shy and act all weird, he can't accept that fact, they'll tease him for it till his last breath. "Umm I'll be back."

You nod and take a seat in one of the chairs placed around the room while Yeosang goes to confront the boys, nervousness filling him. "Seriously why are you guys watching us like damn weirdos, what if she saw. You could've made her uncomfortable!"

He whisper yells at them and they only either roll their eyes or raise their eyebrows teasingly at him, Mingi even sending him a wink. "You looked so adorable, all shy and flustered aww~"

Wooyoung squeezes his cheek only to have Yeosang swat his hand away, glaring at him. They all coo and tell him how cute he is, making him want to crawl in a hole and hide forever. "I'm being serious guys, please!"

🖤Choi San🖤

"Baby boy~" Seven heads whip around from hearing the nickname, some gasps echoing in the room while one person hides between his hands. San can't help but feel embarrassed that you called him that infront of his members, even after he especially told you not to before you entered the dorm.

"Aww baby boy don't be shy~" Jongho teases the poor boy, imitating you by speaking in a sweet and higher voice. You smack his arm, a warning for him to quit embarrassing your boyfriend. "Leave my baby alone! Unless it's because you're jealous? Aww Jongho you sweet boy do you want some attention too uh?"

As the youngest's ears turn bright red, the others burst out laughing. All but one, San whines this time, not believing you would talk that way to someone other than him and right in front of him too "Y/N you can't call him that! I'm your only baby!"

He clings to one of your sides, face pushed into your neck while he complains. You can feel his pouty lips move against your skin and it makes a smile appear at his adorable behavior. "Aww sweetheart don't be sulky~ You're my one and only pretty baby boy and I love you so so much!"

"Mmh!" He mumbles in your neck and you let him, meanwhile the others watch the whole thing with different reactions, but they mostly are surprised. Despite being used to San behaving like that, they didn't expect it to go to that extend. "Is he alway like that with you?"

Seonghwa asks concerned, he doesn't think he could handle this much cuteness all the time. You shake your head and chuckle as the boy nuzzling your cheek complains once again, but this time about being left out of the conversation. "Not all the time, but mostly. I don't mind though, I feel like I could never refuse him anything."

San proudly smiles, dimples poking out and your heart flutters at the action, cooing and squishing his cheeks before proceeding to peck his plump lips. Some of the boys fake gag and you playfully glare at them.

"Maybe you two should get a room." Wooyoung says clearly full of jealousy and San seems to notice. He forcefully grabs the other's neck and kisses his cheek, they both smile in satisfaction after and you giggle with adoration.

💚Song Mingi💚

"Shut up she just fell asleep!" Mingi whisper yells to the boys who are loudly teasing him for babying you right in front of them. He shushes the agitated members, before closing the door of his room, leaving you to sleep peacefully.

"Ah come on~ That was so adorable guys!" Yunho coos at his tall friend, the others joining him. "I know, it's the first time I see Mingi taking care of someone like that."

"So sweet~" San adds while everyone is speaking, grabbing at the shirt over his heart and pretending he just got shot. They all become louder with every second and Mingi is once again forced to quiet them down. "Enough guys, if you keep being so annoying I'll do it only when I'm alone with her."

He was only being the sweet boyfriend he is and took care of you after the rough day you had. The boys saw him speak to you in a cute voice, playing with your hair with your head laying on his thigh and they immediately started to tease him. Mingi doesn't usually show much attention to you when you aren't alone, but he didn't care at that moment and now he can't decide if it was a good idea.

"Mingi?" At the sound of your voice, he reacts in less than a second and glares at the the boys on his way to his room. The others exchange glances, giggling at their friend's cute behavior, they find you guys so adorable and secretly enjoy seeing Mingi be a good boyfriend.

For a second, no one moves or utter a word, silence filling the dorm, but the moment they hear Mingi cooing, there's seven guys huddling at the door, peeking inside. Mingi's kneeling on the floor, holding your hand and playing with your hair, reassuring you from having a bad dream by pecking your face and making you laugh.

Wooyoung wants to get closer, whining quietly about needing to see more, but unfortunately for him, Yeosang pushes him further and he stumbles on the carpet, falling to the floor. Both yours and your boyfriend's head turn to the sound of it, followed by the rest laughing uncontrollably at their friend, but they immediately stop at the sound of Mingi's deep voice. "You have three seconds to run. 1. 2!"

"You didn't say thre- AAHH!" They all run away, going to hide as Mingi takes off with the obvious determination to catch them. You roll your eyes at them, chuckling softly at their chaotic behaviors. The noise helps putting you back to sleep, after hearing this so often, you got used to it. "OUCH- stop biting me!!"

❤Jung Wooyoung❤

The sound of clothes rubbing together, uneaven breathing and some gasps here and there, fills the room. Lips firmly glued to one another, tongues eventually slipping in. You slowly press down harder with each roll of your hips, getting a bit more agitated the more you hear his reactions. The boy underneath you groans and whines when you give unexpected deeper grinds, his hands grip at your thighs or the sheets in desparation. "Ahh~ b-baby I-"

"Oh my- what the fuck!" Jongho screams full of disgust, eyes hidden behind his fingers and eyebrows scrunched up. He slowly walks backwards, trying to leave without having to look at the scene again.

"What are you doing close the damn door!" Wooyoung yells in annoyance, the moment you both were having now completely ruined. "It's not my fault you don't know how to lock it!"

"Well now you can leave! So go!" The boy is still trapped under your body, his arms holding your waist so you don't move away. Jongho does end up leaving, closing the door loudly after locking it behind himself.

You can hear the agited voices of the others once Jongho tells them about what he just saw and you laugh, listening to their conversation. Wooyoung attempts to distract you, kissing your neck and pulling on you shirt to get you to move your hips again. "Come on please, I was so close~"

You're about to speak, but someone knocks at the door, interrupting you for the second time. "Sorry to interrupt, but uh.. just use protection alright?"

Seonghwa only agrees to leave when you both respond that you will and Wooyoung let's out a heavy sigh, tired of being disturbed. You get his attention by pushing him on his back and taking your shirt off, looking directly in his eyes. His breath gets stuck in his throat, heart fluttering. "Hope you're still in the mood babe~"

🧡Choi Jongho🧡

The guys treat him like he's a child sometimes. Even after they found out you're his girlfriend, they couldn't stop saying he's an innocent and cute boy. Turns out their baby isn't such a baby after all, they only realize that after Seonghwa catches you both making out in the living room. "Ahh oh fuc- my eyes!!"

Hearing their mom's screech, almost everyone gather at the source of the noise. They mostly look confused at first, but when they notice you and Jongho with a flushed face and Seonghwa looking like he just saw a ghost, they understand right away. "Ah so you guys were about to get naugh- ouch!"

San receives a smack by the leader, whining that he didn't do anything wrong, only for the older one to glare at him and it instantly shuts him up. "We need a family meeting asap! Tell Yeosang to hurry his ass in here!"

Yunho's gone the next second, going to get the boy. They both come back to find everyone sitting opposite to you two, quietly following the rest and doing the same.

It's dead silent for a few minutes, no one daring to speak while the oldest one looks like he's in deep thoughts. Jongho looks unbothered next to you while you're trying not to die from nervousness, the situation being not only embarrassing but also unbearably stressful. In your opinion, this his ten times more intense than meeting Jongho's real parents.

"So.." At the sound of his voice, eight pair of ears perk up, waiting with anticipation for the unnecessary scolding, but it never comes. "Look I don't care if you guys wanna eat each other's face off, but please don't do it on my couch. Jongho you have a room for this and I would really appreciate if I didn't have to see such a traumatizing scene."

"Yes hyung, I won't do it again. I'm sorry." You hide your face behind Jongho's shoulder, too embarrassed to face the others and cursing at your boyfriend in your mind for dragging you into this. He convinced you to do this here and assured you no one would walk in, now you're wondering if he didn't secretly plan it.

“How are you holding up?”Your sister asks you, one hand on your back as you take deep breaths, while Hwa’s wife takes care of the pleats of your gown. You nod, looking at her, trying to smile, but all you feel is your eyes getting teary.

“I’m not ready for this yet,”you whisper, making Hwa’s wife look at you, “I don’t think I am.”

She sits on her knees and places her hand on yours, “Honey, look at me.”

You look at her smiling at you, “baby, it’s alright. You’re marrying the guy you love, who loves you back. There’s nothing to be scared of.”

“It’s not that,”you say, making her nod at you, “it’s that, what if we lose each other some day?”

“Honey, honey,”she sits to match your level, hugging you, “it’s okay. Don’t feel that way.”

“Wait,”you hear your sister speak, “Can I have a moment with her, alone?”

She nods at her and stands up. Squeezing your arm a bit, she leaves. Your sister takes a chair from near and brings it close to you, sitting opposite.

“You worried you’ll end up like mom and dad, don’t you?”

“I love him too much,”you choke on a sob, “Dad loved mom too, but he cries in secret. I know how much he misses her, and I don’t wanna end up like that.”

“Hey, you won’t. I mean, did you look at the guy? He’s eating off Min’s ears on how he wants to barge in here right now, and you think he’ll ever leave?”She says, making you giggle, “and, mom never left. She’s right here with us. She loves dad, she loves us. Right now, I bet she’s standing right besides you and smiling on how crazy you’re being.”

You smile and look outside the window.

“Hey, do we have time?”you ask her, making her look at you.

“Um, I guess we have like an hour still…why?”

“Can you take me somewhere?”

She understands what you try to say and nods at you. She helps you get up from the chair, free hand fingers intertwining with yours.

After twenty minutes of the car ride, you reach the grave yard, a few lavender flowers in your hand. Your sister got out first, then walks towards your side of the door, opening it for you. You tred down slowly, her holding your train. You reach a gravestone, etchings of an all familiar name with her birthday and her death date. You lay down the flowers in front of the stone. The ground was pretty much dried, the grass looked sullen, so the thought of your gown getting dirty was pretty much out of your head. You kneel down in front of the grey granite, putting the flowers down. Your sister looks at you and leaves, walking towards the car.

“Hey mom,”you say, trying not to cry, “I hope I look alright haha. It’s been a good few months of turbulence. You’ve met Woo Young. He’s a nice guy, right? Today’s the day I’m tying the knot with him.

I love him very much, mum. But I’m scared. I’m so scared that one day he might fall out of love with me and leave me. It scares me. You used to tell me that people who love each other never leave each other. If you loved dad, why did you leave? It was really hard for me to let someone like him in my life. Love scared me, but he made it so much easier, you know? With him, I feel so happy, so alive. With him, I’m me. I don’t need to put on a facade. He understands when I’m sad or upset. In fact, he proposed me under Cherry Blossoms, and you remember how I used to tell you that they are my favourites and I want a guy to propose me for marriage right there. I told him that when we were seven months into the relationship. He remembered that even after five years of relationship. He did it. I want to be the woman for him, mom. I know you’re always there for me. I just want this feeling to fade away.

Wish you were here today, mum. I miss you so much.”

“You are such a gorgeous bride,”you hear a feminine voice speak besides you. You look to your side and see an older woman sitting near a gravestone, “congratulations.”

“Thank you ma’am,”you say, sniffling, trying to smile at her. She looks at you and smiles sympathetically, and hands a kerchief. You giggle and thank her under your breath, taking it from her.

“Why are you crying?”she asks, as she lays down white roses near the gravestone she sat.

“I’m scared, and I kinda wanted to talk to my mum,”you say, looking at the lavenders in front of you. She hums, and sighs, looking at the clear blue sky.

“It’s okay to feel scared,”she says, smiling in the distance, “I was like you. Young love. My husband died two years ago. It’s his birthday today,”she says, making you gasp.

“I’m so sorry,”you say, extending your hands towards her. She takes it willingly, squeezing it.

“He’s in a better place now,”she says, looking at the gravestone.

“They both are,”you say, smiling at her. You both sit in peace for a while.

“You don’t need to feel scared,”she says, “if the guy loves you, he will never leave you. He will cherish you like his queen. If you’re marrying the guy you love, there’s no need for you to get scared at all.”

“You’re right,”you say, looking at her, smiling, “thank you.”

“Now, now; you’ve my blessings already. And of your mom and my husband.”

You both get up together, her helping you a bit. Her smile was radiant for a woman who looked like she was in her sixties. You hug her and smile, her patting your back.

“Thank you so much,”you whisper, making her smile.

“Live a happy life, love,”she says, making you smile. Bidding your goodbyes, you leave.

Reaching the car, you smile at your sister.

“Let’s go.”

[Woo Young’s POV]

“Yo,”Yun Ho creeps up to you, “you good, man?”

“I’ve never felt this nervous before,”Woo Young says, making Yun hum in agreement, “I just, I don’t know.”

“Hey, it’s gonna be alright, okay?”Yun Ho says, one hand on his shoulder, squeezing in assurance.

“I know,”he says, smiling.

[Other’s POV]

“Can’t believe he’s getting married today,”San says, making Hong Joong chuckle, “my cuddle buddy’s gone forever.”

“Seriously? That’s your concern right now San?”Yeo Sang asks in disbelief, making Seong Hwa snort. The bridesmaids and the groomsmen line up, one behind the other. Your sister stood next to Min Gi, smiling satisfied.

The instrumental to “Thousand Years” by Christina Perri starts, as the groomsmen and the bridesmaids make their way to the aisle. Woo Young stood there with a nervous smile, smiling at his best men slowly making way towards him, behind him.

“How’s he holding up?”your sister asks Min Gi, who looks at her, then in front.

“He’s nervous, you know,”he says, making her hum. He looks back at her again, making him smile, “also, you look ethereal.”

She looks at him with a shy smile, muttering a ‘thank you’ shyly under her breath, making him smile.

[3 mins before walking down the aisle]

You hold the cherry blossoms & lavender nervously in your hand, sighing frequently. Your dad comes and stands next to you.

“How’re you doing sweetheart?”

“I’m fine, I guess,”you say softly, making him look at you. He turns you towards him, taking in your entire look.

“You look beautiful, just like how your mom did,”he says, voice shaky with emotions. You smile at him, trying not to break down, “your mom would be so proud. Woo Young is an amazing guy. I trust him with my life. He’ll always be there for you.”

You hug him and stand next to him. The instrumental to “Heavenly” by Cigarettes After Sex plays, cuing your entry. The doors in front of you open, leading you on the way to the aisle. Everybody stands and looks at you in awe, the frail veil casting your face away from the crowd. Seeing Woo Young, all your nervousness fades into thin air. Next to him, you see San, Yeo Sang, Hong Joong, Jong Ho, Seong Hwa, Min Gi and Yun Ho , all throwing their sweetest smiles at you.

You look at Woo Young, who has already started shedding a few tears.

You smile at him and then look at your dad, who kisses you on your cheek and leaves, till Woo Young extends his hand forward and helps you climb the stairs. You thank him and stand opposite to him, with your sister and the rest of the bridesmaids. He keeps staring at you, wiping his eyes a few times, making you giggle.

“You look like an angel as always,”he says, making you smile and sniffle a bit.

“You clean up good, too,”you say, teasingly, making him chuckle. The officiant begins the ceremony.

“We’ve gathered here today for the holy matrimony of these two beautiful people. Now, I would love you to read your vows.”

San hands over his vows to Woo Young, which he denies subtly. He takes your hands in his, smiling.

“It took me almost half a year to muster up courage to ask you out, after writing a project about modern literature, Jane Austen threatening me to act like the perfect Darcy, ”gaining a few laughs from the crowd, and a giggle from your side, “but, I’m glad I did; cause I wouldn’t have been lucky enough to see you in this pale pink gown, holding these beautiful flowers in your hands, gosh; I’m really overwhelmed by seeing you like this. I’ve already planned our wedding, our family, ever since we started dating, and it couldn’t get any better. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me, and trust me, if love was a person, it is you, for me. You entered my life like the sun on a cloudy day, and every moment spent with you feels like the time we started dating. Even though we have been dating for a long time now, it always feels like I’m getting to know you all over again. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,”he says, pulling you closer to place a kiss on your forehead.

The priest looks at you and nods you to read yours.

“Woo, I’m not going to deny the fact that I’ve been nervous from dawn. I wasn’t sure if I could ever be the woman you deserve, but now I do; because you’re the only guy I’d want to spend the rest of my life with. You’re the only guy whom I’d start a family with, see my children learn to walk, talk, run miles with you by my side. Achieve new heights with you by my side. I love you Woo, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

“Now repeat after me-”

“Wait, we’ll do it,” Woo says, making Hong Joong and Hwa look at each other, making Joong slap his forehead.

“I take you as my lawfully wedded wife,

To have and to hold,

From this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer

𝘐𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩

𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘰 𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵,

You look at him and giggle, shaking your head.

“I take you as my lawfully wedded husband,

To have and to hold,

From this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer

In sickness and in health

Until death do us part.”

“Now, can we have the rings please?”

Woo Young takes the ring from San and takes your hand, sliding it down your ring finger, and then lifts it up to place a chaste kiss on the back of your hand, making you smile shyly. You take the ring from your sister and take his hand in yours, sliding it down his ring finger.

“And now, by the power vested in me, it is my honour and delight to declare you married. Go forth and live each day to the fullest.

You may now kiss-”

Woo Young pulls you by the waist, earning a surprised gasp from you, sealing the deal of lifelong partnership, with a kiss. You close your eyes and wrap your arms around his neck, both smiling into the kiss.

“-the bride.”

You both break the kiss and giggle, smiling at the priest.

“I present to you, the Jungs!”

Everyone starts clapping, your bridesmaids cheering from the corner, and the groomsmen fist-bumping each other.

“The Jungs, huh?”Woo Young says, holding you close to him by the waist, “sounds like an old married couple.”

“Well, Mr Jung, we’ve promised to grow old, so better start getting used to it,”you say teasingly, making him chuckle.

“I’m looking forward to it, Mrs Jung,”he says, placing a chaste kiss on your lips, “I love you so much.”

“I love you, too.”

“Yo lovebirds, lets go!”San yells, earning a hearty chuckle from the guys and the ladies, and a smack on the back of his head from Yeo Sang, with a ‘what the hell was it for, man!’. You both look at each other and make a beeline for the door, where a Lowrider awaited. All you could hear were laughs and chuckles and giggles, till you stopped near the car. You looked at your bridesmaids and smiled, knowing what was to come next. You turn your back towards them, after looking at San, who nodded at you. You act like you were about to throw the bouquet, but change your mind and walk towards San’s girlfriend, who looked at you in confusion, but the cheers make her look beyond and gasp, seeing San kneel down on one knee, proposing to her, earning a huge “Yes!”, making the crowd go ballistic. You hear Woo scream, “Good job, man!”and gesture you to go and sit in the car, seemingly possible to escape without much chaos. You giggle and hopped in, making him smile and kiss you, before he drives away, balloons attached to the back of the car now flying in the sky, “Fell in Love & Married”, shining in the horizon.
