akutagawa was under the impression that you liked spending time with him—at least, that's what you told him before when you boldly claimed that you weren't scared of him. so why were you spending so much time with someone else now?

atsushi, from his research, was a newer mer to the area. someone must have found him wandering around and allowed him to stay. was that why he didn't understand that you were his human companion? akutagawa didn't consider himself a possessive person, but something akin to dark, vile jealousy bubbled inside him when he saw atsushi bashfully giggling when you stroked his hair, happily obliging your requests to see him spin, admiring the way his scales shone under the moonlight. akutagawa stared down at his own dark, boring tail, a bitter taste in his mouth. humans always did have a liking for pretty things, didn't they?

if you wanted to explore underwater caves, he knew them better than atsushi did, and he was a much better guide, wasn't he? not constantly yapping your ears off as you dove. but maybe you liked the more social aspect of atsushi, something he didn't have. so once again, he felt sidelined by this stupid tiger. he felt like he had been replaced.

obviously, he couldn't express these feelings to you. humans were kinder than mers, weren't they? you wouldn't understand his feelings of selfishness and envy, his natural hatred for the other shark mer. but what he could do was scare off atsushi—as long as he didn't run off to complain to you about it. so he does exactly that, swimming too close to the other mer, glaring at him every time they cross paths, making an obvious show of his longer friendship with you—visiting you right before he knew atsushi would, bringing you rare and precious treasures that he knew you liked, all to prove that he was obviously the stronger and more suited mate for you.

it's not like atsushi would fight back, anyway.

This scene is cute for a number of reasons, but I couldn’t help but laugh the second time I watched it. Fukuzawa is obviously a cat person, and likes to feed and pet the strays (a trait that inadvertently gave him the entire ADA). But as soon as the stray cat runs off, Fukuzawa notices Atsushi right next to him.

It’s not SUPPOSED to be funny. It ISN’T. But all I could think when I was watching it was that it just looked like a big cat smelled fish and came running, and how Fukuzawa probably saw Atsushi’s sudden reappearance as, “not the stray cat I was expecting, but hello, Atsushi.” 🐟

As a girl I have some very specific opinions about Fem SKK,SSKK and Fukumori and now it’s your problem too

-Dazai wears grandma looking loafers.They are ugly as sin and everyone has told her as much but they are easy to slip out of so everyone can keep their opinions to their damn selves as far as she’s concerned.

-In the mafia she had very long hair.Couldn’t be bothered to cut it.So Mori would tie it up in one those half up half down hairstyles with some ribbons(mostly black ones)

-Flat as a board.

-She tends to wear a lot of oversized clothes.Did so back in the PM still does so in the ADA.It’s just more comfy for her

-Mori use to put her in a lot of babydoll dresses.Dazai absolutely hated it.How is she suppose to intimidate the enemy when she looks like a haunted doll!?

-This stopped around the events of Stormbringer but her clothes still leaned a bit more fem with long pleated skirts and puffy blouses.

-She leans more masc now,having cut her hair once she left the PM.It’s more of a bob situation now.

-Fidget ring queen.She has so many rings it’s not even funny.

-Never wore make up in her life.

-Probably sleep in boxers with no bra on.

-Grundge to office casual transition

-She use to wear sneakers now she wears high heeled boots.

-Every year she spends in the mafia the height of her heels increases.Kōyo taught her how to fight in heels and if she can’t show that off what is she even doing with her life?

-Will still dress grunge when just chilling and going for drinks though.Tank tops,Graphic tees,torn up jeans and hoodies.

-Will sometimes slip on her old Sheep bracelet when going out.

-On the job it is suits with flared pants galore though.If you have money use it on quality.

-Has a lot of different chokers actually,let’s Akutagawa borrow them on occasion.

-Not a lipstick girly,but huge eyeliner fan.

-Messy bun and ponytails are still her go to.Besides the hat will probably cover up the messy part.

-Awful period cramps.She is miserable and cannot deal with it.

-Has a huge collection of ankle boots.Some are hand me down from Chuuya,but most of em she got on her own money. -The rest of her wardrobe is very victorian in aesthetic though.Not full on,but flowy,long sleeved,to her ankle dresses are pretty common in her wardrobe.

-She sometimes wears corsets,but only when she’s feeling fancy.

-Her hair is quite short,to her shoulders, and she usually puts it up into a braided bun and tuck some hair pins in.

-Has a lot of handmade bracelets from her various kids(Kenji was the most recent and biggest contributor).She can’t wear them all at once,so she wears a different one every day.

-Constantly fiddles with her hair troughout the day,so her hair ties are mostly on her wrist and not seeing any use.

-A lot of loose pants and kimono style shirts.

-She has a small bell bracelet to attract nearby cats.It hasn’t worked.

Mori has begged Fukuzawa to get nicer under things,but Fukuzawa has refused.Mori thinks it’s unfair that she comes dressed in really nice lacy lingerie where as Fukuzawa is in the same sports bra from three days ago.

Mori used to braid Fukuzawa’s hair and Fukuzawa hasn’t worn a braid since they split.

Fukuzawa actually really likes the smell of Mori’s perfume but she’ll never admit it.

Mori has forbidden Fukuzawa to leave hickeys on her since her clothes won’t cover it up and there is no way she’s compromising an aesthetic.

Fukuzawa is convinced Mori has more scalpels on her every time they hook up.She can’t prove it,but she feels it.

🚪💥WHILE🦎🐈 we’re on the subject- on a night when they’re both small, Atsushi and Dazai end up staying at Kunikida’s in the room he has set up for them (plus Ranpo). Dazai wakes up in the middle of the night and starts crying. Atsushi is woken up by the babe in a panic, forgetting where he is and thinking he’s at the orphanage again. It was mentioned that there would probably be a lot of littles at the orphanage, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think Atsushi is used to being woken up by a crying baby. But it’s probably also reasonable to believe that said babies weren’t treated very well if they were heard, so it became a normal practice to shut them up for their own safety by any necessary means.

Half blind with fear, Atsushi springs out of bed and feverishly tries to silence Mackerel, who only sees an unfamiliar figure in the dark standing over him and aggressively snarling at him to shut up- which terrifies him and sends him into hysterics.

It obviously doesn’t take long for Kunikida to get to the room and sort it all out (unbeknownst to them, the teddy bear that sits on the bookshelf is actually a hidden baby monitor- it’s so he can keep an eye on the babe, but if it picks up on the start of any of Ranpo’s mischief then Kida won’t complain 😚) but it takes a while for him to calm them both down- even after Atsushi remembers where he is, he’s still worried that Kida might punish him or Dazai, and Dazai is still shaken from the ‘attack’ and doesn’t like how close Atsushi is keeping towards him.

After that, Babyzai’s crib is kept in Kunikida’s room, which bothers him because ‘only REALLY little babies need to sleep in the same room as their caregivers’ because apparently Dazai still cares about that technicality, despite being an actual baby and it really not mattering one way or the other. Dammit Atsushi. -🍓

i always love to read anything to do with yandere reader :> it's been growing on me recently but honestly i feel like i can never write it in a way that isn't unappealing to read 😭 (i got carried away at some parts)

cw yandere reader, yandere character, obsession, stabbing, general descriptions of violence (dazai's part) stalking, jealousy, possessive behavior, unhealthy relationships, manipulation codependency.

initially, atsushi would be very uncomfortable with that level of devotion. he doesn't think he deserves it, and even if your compliments and concerning amount of praise flatter him, he knows it's not...normal. you shouldn't hold anyone, let alone him in such high regard. but still, if you persist, he feels like he owes it to you to reciprocate your feelings at least to some degree. it's not like he's had anyone else that's been interested in him before, and definitely not like this.

the guilt never fades, but he grows a little compliant, not protesting when you cancel his plans and tell him to stay away from his friends. how can he say no and watch your face fall? he hates disappointing anyone, and knowing you would do anything for him makes him never want to disappoint you.

while he may never understand the fierce possessiveness in your eyes when anyone else approaches him or the desperation in your voice when you plead with him for his love, he thinks he can grow to accept it. it doesn't hurt to feel wanted, and he thinks after all the days he's felt absolutely useless and undeserving of any happiness, this isn't too bad.

it feels nice to be so loved, even if he knows, deep down, that it can't be healthy.

for kunikida, he's really just confused at first. why would anyone allow themselves to become so bothered with someone else? it just feels useless to him. so when he learns of your feelings, and towards him, he's even more perplexed. what did you see in him? he approaches you directly about it, and you aren't so shy that you wouldn't answer him, although he can tell you're intimidated. you tell him he's your idea of an ideal partner—clever, determined, quick on his feet and loyal. he was perfect, in your eyes. and you believe he deserves someone to worship him. someone to care for him like he cares for others, someone to know him beyond his sometimes harsh exterior. and then you tell him that you haven't been lucky enough to peek into his book yet, but you hope you qualify for at least one requirement of his ideal partner. kunikida goes home that night, and stares at his list for the ideal partner. after a long time, he picks up his pen and makes some changes. he can't exactly understand you, but he can appreciate your efforts. his favorite drink on his bedside every morning with a note from you, just the way he keeps his cup—he overlooks the obvious breach of privacy in favour of the comforting warmth from his drink. your attempts to conform to his wishes, no matter how inconvinient. your constant praise and love for him. still, he knows it's unhealthy. he knows it's not right but...he grows to enjoy your presence. he tells himself that soon, he'll stop you. he'll talk to you some other time, about working on your attachment to him. for now...he can relish in your total trust in him.

dazai couldn't believe it at first. he already caught on to your not so subtle stalking a while ago—you weren't as good as you'd think, but he found it oddly endearing. he would be flattered, even, that someone cared so much. he definitely didn't need you to keep an eye out on him as he ventured through dangerous alleys alone, but it was nice to know someone was looking out for him.

for all he likes to act like nothing bothers him and he's always alright, he kind of likes to be acknowledged in this way.

so his next course of action would be to stalk you, obviously! alright, so that startled expression whenever you catch him looking, that flustered look when he smirks at you, telling you that he knew what you were up to, stirred something inside him. but what could he do? you were just so cute! he gets to know you (by watching you through the windows) and he's struck by how...normal you are. you really weren't pretending around him at the office. he texts you and watches your face light up. he sends you selfies and watches as your eyes grow wide and your breath hitch. you really did like him, didn't you? he does it on purpose, sometimes. flirts with the waitress as you seethe from the corner, wondering how far you'd go for him. you don't hurt her, but you didn't need to—that burning glare from you that day sent her running away from dazai every time after that. when he watches you stab fyodor, lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood, spitting out curses at him for hurting your dazai, landing a hand on him—he smiles, despite himself. he feels lightheaded. he thinks it's from the wound at first, but realises you probably drugged him. you didn't have to, but he doesn't mind. your usual softhearted nature burned away in your rage, eyes sharp and hands steady as you plung the knife in and out. you don't give the man a quick death, swearing he would pay for ever daring to touch dazai. he's almost jealous that the other man is getting all your attention, but he isn't afraid.

you're doing this because you loved him, after all, and he knew in that moment he would do the same.

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE! Cause today I've been thinking about yandere Atsushi. The dude's had a hard life and I see him as reeeeaaaally clingy mixed with overprotective, he's gone through stuff and has an emo man with a cough out to kill him, so it'd make sense he wants his s/o around and safe with him. But he also seems like he'd be fairly easy to trick into letting his s/o escape. He doesn't want to scare them away or be violent so with enough convincing he'd probably let them go somewhere on their own. Then he finds out they escaped, goes looking for them, and he gets even more trust issues with his clinginess increasing tenfold

atsushi is just so cute, you know :,) but definitely super clingy, like hovering around you all the time. he probably started the habit of constantly watching you and checking on you because he was really just worried, he knew what kind of people were out there, and he needed to protect you.

but he spirals, fast. what starts off with good intentions turns into something more suffocating. he starts to like having you in his line of sight all the time. he likes watching you - you're cute, and he loves you. unfortunately, it only gets worse. sometimes he's worried; why are you spending more time with the other members of the agency? he's right here, too! he notices every little interaction.

like you said, he doesn't want to scare you away from him. ideally, he wants to make you depend on him, so he starts slipping little lies. oh, you didn't know? the port mafia are getting more reckless, killing more people for the smallest things - there's been a lot of victims with the signature port mafia style of murder, especially near that boutique you like so much. he'll exaggerate things, like about how there's an extremely large number of gifted groups forming in the city, which means more conflict, more innocent people getting caught in the crossfire. don't worry though, atsushi'll protect you!

if you're smart - smart enough to figure out his weakness (which is, the fact that he wants you to love him back), then you might succeed in tricking him. if you give him an excuse like you want to get him a gift so he can't come along, he'll be over the moon. so delighted, so thrilled, that the idea of you going out alone is suddenly not that bad. of course, he doesn't want you spending more time with the other detectives because what if...you start to like them?? so, alone you go.

the excitement wears off pretty fast. by 30 minutes, if he doesn't get a call that you've reached your location, he might let it slide, but any more than an hour, and he's frantic. he's so nervous, he feels like he's about to explode. where were you? your phone location was moving in some random location, and he realizes you left it on the train on purpose. regardless, he will find you. atsushi is dangerously dedicated to the task when it concerns you. all the while, he's thinking of how dangerous the world is, how stupid you were to run and mostly, how cruel of you to destroy his heart like this.

maybe you left it by accident? but you didn't try contacting him at all, so it's obvious to him what you're trying here, and he doesn't like it. when he gets you back, expect to be locked in his dorm. before this, he let you tag along to the agency, but from now on, you're locked inside his room, cameras everywhere to keep an eye on you, and no phone, or any sort of device. he doesn't want you to even think for yourself anymore. he makes the decisions, you can't see anyone, can't talk to anyone, unless it's him. he decides he needs to make himself your entire world, like you are his.

i say atsushi is too cute and proceed to write this...but i love u anon
