Now, my Inquisitor Novhen AU is pointedly not a Warden-Inquisitor but rather an offshoot from his Origins Companion AU, but i do sometimes like to think about a Warden-Inquisitor Novhen in the context of WEWH. As in how he would completely lose sight of the mission the second he realizes Morrigan is there
Just very "You think i give a shit about Celene and the assassins? That's my wife*!"
*They have not seen each other in a decade
Normally, he would’ve “preferred” to continue to leave her alone (Prefer in the sense of he really really doesn’t want to but promised he would.), but she seems open to resuming their relationship, and he is not going to balk at that opportunity
Until the idea was officially put forth to put Briala in charge through Gaspard, the plan was to save Celene anyway which coincides quite nicely with Morrigan’s agenda (once they get the sense back into him). Novhen has no fondness for either of the royals and both could croak without a care from him, but Celene at least is less likely to invade Ferelden
They really should've covered it in the briefing though, so he'd have time to prepare himself
Leliana: Alright, Novhen, this next mission falls into your skillset perfectly. There's coercion; there's intelligence gathering; there's sneaking. Just keep it to yourself how you actually feel about the nobility
Novhen: I can work with that
Leliana: Wonderful! One small catch: Morrigan will be there
Novhen, plan visibly leaving his eyes: What.

Me: I like plotting, otherwise I lose interest a little faster than I'd like.
Also me: What the hell is a plot?
Anyways, meme tag is here, if anyone wants to start something. Or another something. As long as you're ok with Dragon Age stuff because that's the only place my brain is at currently. All I ask is if you send in a #, please send the words that follow because I will not know what the hell you're talking about (sorry :( )
I know Talon (a chaos gremlin and assassin, quizzy and companion aus available) is being front and center with the obnoxiousness, but I've also got
Finn Tabris (city elf warden commander/HoF, 100% would show up to Skyhold)
Hawke (default rogue F!Hawke who's sarcastic and hella gay)
Ashe Trevelyan (quizzy verse is best, her companion needs some revisiting. Nerd and animal lover)
Alaric Trevelyan (Templar, Ashe's brother, can be recruited at Therinfall Redoubt or will otherwise defect just before Haven is attacked wanting to help)
Azriel Trevelyan (is in the process of taking over as Bann of Ostwick for his father at the time of DAI, would need some plotting to make something work, Ashe's eldest brother with massive golden retriever energy)
Nick Sokolov (vampire, mage, healer, old as shit, would willingly join the Inquisition to help out, very tired of mortal bullshit.)

"Herald, meet Renan. We've been working together for some years now. I reached out to him personally for his skill with codebreaking."
(they r gossiping)
Playing into the HoF at Skyhold AU wherein Novhen Tabris joined the Inquisition sometime before the attack on Haven in disguise as some elf named Renan. He's recently returned back from his own quest, and Leliana is still helping shield him from Cassandra
The Wardens are in a tricky situation at the moment with the false Calling, and the Orlesian branch's aggressions are not making things any easier. Vigil's Keep is tightly restricting communications for their own safety. Joining the Inquisition under a pseudonym gives a way for him to closely monitor both the Breach situation and any updates on the Orlesian Wardens without risking Cass putting him in charge
He’ll be revealing his true identity same time as Hawke shortly after Cadash is made Inquisitor, so Leliana and Varric can have their lies exposed to Cass back-to-back

Found some old cut text from my fic Handers/tranquil!Hawke Your Fading Light.
This was actually a rather silly/lighthearted scene involving Anders, the Hero of Ferelden, and Ser Gilmore (who is alive, well, married to my Warden, and a Skyhold gaurd in all of my AUs).
It was supposed to come at the beginning of chapter 6 and it was my intention to add some levity before two very heavy chapters, but my plans involving my Warden changed so I had to cut it.
I'll post it below the cut for anyone who wants to read it!
They were met out front by two guardsmen, one of tall, broad stature with his flaming hair pulled back into a low braid [a/n: Ser Gilmore], the other one more lithe with a mess of curls that fell around his neck and imposing chops on the sides of his face [a/n: HoF Edan Cousland]. They didn't look up, lost in the midst of what appeared from their demeanors to be a longstanding squabble. Any attempts to catch their attention proved fruitless.
"The last I'd heard you were needed in Highever," the man with the red hair said, eyes narrowed to a disapproving crease.
"Funny dear, because I do seem to recall your letter reaching me first," the other man countered, clearing his throat before doing a poor impression of the man at his right. "Oh how I gaze out through the misty air on my patrols, thinking of your warm embrace, needing your hand in mine. Oh how--"
"Enough!" The first man silenced him, the climate-induced flush over his cheeks darkening into something more telling. He bit back, "That was not a formal request and you know it."
Anders rolled his eyes and turned to the others to find them doing much the same thing.
"A spell to the foot might get their attention," Anders suggested bitterly, ready to see his way out of the cold and into their quarters. "How likely do you think they are to take me prisoner like all the other mages?"
"They aren't even looking, let's just--" Carver was cut short because Marian was already putting his plan into action, walking right by the bickering guards with Lil Guy sandwiched between her and Fenris, holding their hands. "Beat me to it, sister." Carver, too, moved on ahead leaving Garrett and Anders in the rear.
"Come on," Anders urged him, guiding him slightly ahead to catch up with his sibling. Anders was the last to enter the gate, muttering beneath his breath, "If I have to have to listen to another second of them bickering like an old married couple--"
"We ARE married!" Both guards snapped in unison before coming to the sudden, startling realization.
"Halt!" The one with the braid said, drawing his sword, eyes severe. "State your business."
"You have got to be joking," Anders huffed, throwing his hands up in disbelief.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" The man asked, though it was clearly rhetorical. "State your business," he repeated.
Anders looked around the man to find Marian smiling sheepishly and waving, Fenris glaring, and Carver with his forehead buried in his palm. The man's eyes followed Anders's and then went wide.
"Blast it," he hissed, turning to the man with the mutton chops, wagging a finger at him. "Stay here, don't let him pass." He sprinted ahead to confront the others.
Unbelievable...
"Sooo..." The remaining man said awkwardly, hands propped on his hips, eyes wandering idly toward the distant snowcapped peaks behind Anders. "He is more charming than he seems, I assure you. But I do hope you understand why we cannot permit you to..." His brow furrowed and he leaned in, stroking the shaved center of his chin, scrutinizing him. "Hold on," he said, shock widening his eyes. "No... can it be? No, no..."
Right, this again. It was inevitable his reputation would catch up to him again. Even years on Garrett had reported seeing his face plastered in market stalls and pinned to Chanter's boards miles around. But why did it have to be here of all places?
"So what now?" Anders queried, "You turn me into your Inquisitor so he can do away with the filthy rebel mage? Mail my head in a box to his stuck up prince in exchange for a sensual stroke of his ego?"
"Oh, it is you alright. Ha! I thought I had sensed a fellow Warden," the other man laughed, his blue eyes crinkling in amusement. "I am terribly sorry for the misunderstanding. Please forgive him, you know how he is."
Did he know? Anders stared on in confusion as the man spun around and whistled to catch his accosting partner's attention.
"That lot arrived in the company of Anders, let them through."
Anders was rightfully dumbfounded, mouth agape. That was certainly the first and what would probably be the only time he'd ever heard that absurd sequence of words leave someone's lips.
The redheaded man glanced over his shoulder, looking Anders up and down with a critical eye before something seemed to click in him as well. However, he disregarded the statement, calling back, "He's with the Hawkes, let him through. I will see them to their quarters.
He was baffled beyond all belief, but with a quick nod to regard the wavy-haired man he proceeded onward, moving quickly to catch up with the others who looked as bewildered as he.
"Off to a great start," Marian remarked sarcastically when Anders was in earshot.
"Could have been worse," Anders replied, though his voice sounded far less confident. Miffed and slightly shaken by the encounter, he wound his way back to Garrett's side, fighting the urge to lean against him. "Now if the Inquisitor can just share that enthusiasm, we'll be fine." He pulled a wry smile, letting out a heavy sigh as the man led on and they shuffled forward, piling into the elevator.

2022 Smutquisition Pinch Hit #1: bogunicorn CLAIMED
This pinch hit is due on the standard due date of March 7th at 8:00pm US EST. If you are interested in claiming this pinch hit, please send an ask, Twitter DM, email, or Discord DM. First come first serve.
Female Adaar/Female Trevelyan (Dragon Age)
Fanart
Fanfiction
I have no preferences on names or appearances for any of the PCs, except that Adaar and Trevelyan not be mages. I would rather you didn’t use my OCs, but if you want to use your own Adaar/Trevelyan, go for it.
If you end up with a plot bunny or idea that you feel strongly inspired by, please deviate from the prompts as much as you’d like, as long as it includes some of my likes and none of my DNWs (see letter, please). My likes/dislikes list is detailed, but please consider the likes more as a collection of suggestion than a bunch of demands.
Female Adaar/Female Trevelyan
Josephine hires the Valo-Kas mercenaries, and noble Trevelyan discovers that what she wants more than anything out of her romantic life is to be bridal-carried by a 7ft woman with horns. Adaar has a negative amount of respect for Trevelyan’s title or wealth, but does get off on the idea of messing around with a rich girl. Maybe they develop feelings, maybe they don’t, but either way they have kinky sex and respect for each other. Bonus if they explore heavier kinks with each other that they’d never been comfortable or brave enough to ask for from other people, but their situation is just so unexpected for both of them that they feel like they can try it now.

Alistair/Morrigan (Dragon Age)
Fanart
Fanfiction
I would rather you didn’t use my OCs, but if you want your HoF be the one that Alistair and Morrigan know, go for it.
Alistair/Morrigan I would love to see a Skyhold reunion with these two. Either Alistair is a Warden and survives Adamant, or King Alistair visits Skyhold after the Winter Palace. Kieran exists, and these two have been quietly in love with each other (or something like it) since they did the Dark Ritual. The HoF can be whomever, and Alistair and Morrigan can have whatever feelings about them that you want them to. If the HoF is actively married to either Alistair or Morrigan, they’re totally fine with it/wouldn’t consider it cheating. If Alistair is a Warden, my big ask is that Alistair does not die in Adamant. If they reunite before he leaves, he either makes it back safe, we see Alistair survive “on-screen”, or Morrigan finds out he survives through the grapevine.

Falon'Din/Female Lavellan (Dragon Age)
Falon'Din/Female Lavellan/Tentacles (Dragon Age)
Fanart
Fanfiction
I have no preferences on names or appearances for Lavellan. I would rather you didn’t use my OC, but if you want to use your own Lavellan, go for it.
Falon’Din/Female Lavellan(/optional Tentacles) I’m actually just really curious to see what someone would do with it. Other than the general suggestion of my likes list and avoiding DNWs, I don’t have any specific suggestions. This might be a good one for a modernized Thedas AU, I think.

Hello, this is a multimuse RP blog for the Dragon Age franchise. I go by JB and I’m over 25 years old. This blog is filled with mature content, from violence to sexual situations and I would advise to follow at your own risk. I do try to tag things but sometimes it slips and Dragon Age is a mature game series.
Undercut is a list of muses by media as well as cut into primary, secondary, and request only. I have a female Mahariel rogue for my Warden, a Female warrior for my Hawke, and a male Lavellan mage for my Inquisitor. I also have a variety of companion and NPC muses as well. I am still working on setting up google docs and a few profiles yet.
Interest Tracker located here
Dragon Age: Origins
Primary
Eliana Mahariel - A bit spunky and mischievous, Eliana is headstrong and doesn’t take kindly to being talked down to. Naturally curious and friendly, though, she does try to do the right thing. Sometimes that right thing is revenge against Loghain.
Secondary
Arik Tabris - Companion non-HOF Tabris, who was recruited three months before the events of the game. He’s known as being severe and ruthless and not entirely diplomatic.
Zoria Amell - Amell Non-HOF Companion, where she leaves with the warden during Broken Circle after being put in isolation and the chaos enabling her sister, Aurora, to free her in order to protect both of them. Her phylactery was destroyed, she finds out, so she flees instead of returning to the Circle.
Request Only
Dimetrea Brosca - Brosca Non-HOF Companion. Instead of getting into the end of the Brosca origin, Dimetrea decides to leave and go to the surface for a better life and becomes a mercenary. She employs herself to the warden when she meets the group after dealing with a band of darkspawn.
Lir Cousland - The middle child of the Couslands (typically). He went off with Fergus to the Battle of Ostagar. The youngest Cousland managed to barely escape and was able to tell him of the betrayal at home before succumbing to their wounds. Lir managed to survive Ostagar and vowed revenge on Howe.
Dragon Age 2
Primary
Atena Hawke - Leans a bit towards red at times, Atena is a former soldier in Cailan’s army. Highly protective of those she’s close to, she wants to avoid confrontation but often her own patience and protectiveness makes that difficult. She sides with the mages.
Secondary
Dazbo Amell -  The older brother of Zoria and Aurora. Dazbo was at Kinloch Hold, helping his older brother, Sorin, with his plan of faking a study on magical families and how to curb it but actually plotting to get all of the Amell siblings out. When Uldred revolted, Dazbo managed to escape without his siblings after destroying his phylacter his templar handler had, and fled to Kirkwall. As far as any else is concerned, he was killed at Kinloch.
Request Only
Alric Hawke - A what if twin for my Hawke. He plays as her impulse control, often the more cautious of the siblings. He has a good heart, but being a mage, he knows he has to step lightly. He decides to be an instructor to the apostates of Kirkwall, in secret, feeling that is the best way to avoid abominations.
Katarina Anhalt - A templar transferred to Kirkwall who meets Hawke in Act 2. Transferred to Kirkwall to try to toughen her, she’s sympathetic and compassionate, having become a templar in an effort to protect people, mage and non-mage alike. She wants to follow her duties but she has questions about how things are run in Kirkwall.
Sasha Fitz - an elf blooded human raised by his elven mother in the alienage. His father is a Kirkwall nobleman and his mother’s former employer. Sasha has a strong contempt for the rich and well-to-do of Kirkwall, to the point he works as a thief known as The Hooded Figure (Hood for short). He steals from the elite and redistributes the wealth to the less fortunate.
Selena Porter - An Orlesian apostate mage who operates as a smuggler of a variety of finery to Kirkwall. She works independently and sometimes with other groups. She’s skilled at seeming to know when and were guards are going to be, in order to get her shipments in safely.
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Primary
Rajmahel Lavellan - A young elf sent to spy on the Conclave, due to his decent relations with humans and strong social skills, he found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was it the right place at the right time? Far from home, his daughter, his family, Rajmahel now takes on the task of saving the world from what threatens it.
Secondary
Arik Tabris  - by the time of Inquisition, the Hero of Ferelden has gone seeking a cure for the Taint. Arik has stepped in as Commander for Ferelden. If the Inquisitor does not exile the wardens, Arik becomes a companion/advisor.
Aurora Amell - Aurora is the youngest of the Amells, having been at Kinloch with her sister. A gifted healer, Aurora worked as an assistant to Wynne before the Mage Rebellion. She joined the cause and was at Haven but not the Conclave. She joined the Inquisition to get justice for the friends she lost at the Conclave and works as a main healer.
Idrilla Lavellan - at the request of her brother, Rajmahel, Idrilla brought his daughter to Skyhold shortly after they found it. She works as Rajmahel’s most trusted agent, often times handling the more brutal jobs. She’s also knowledgeable in the arcane and has abilities gained from finding an artifact as a youth, which she utilizes in helping her brother.
Seigfried Trevelyan - The older brother of Maxwell Trevelyan, a templar who died at the Conclave (base setting). Seigfried was also meant to be there, at his father’s orders, but he was held up in Haven due to a personal matter. Angered at the death of his brother, Seigfried joined the Inquisition to get justice for his brother. His past military experience is useful in training the new recruits.
Request Only
Hildegard Cadash - Hildegard is the aunt by marriage of the Cadash killed at the Conclave. Hearing of their death, the major figure of the Carta decided to offer her contacts and skills to the Inquisition. Because no one messes with her family and gets away with it.
Inatar Adaar - Younger sister of the Adaar killed at the Conclave (base). She also works with the Valo-Kas but decided she would join the Inquisition to get revenge. She’s known to be brash and hot-headed, not the type to hold back. Twin to Shamut Adaar.
Sergio di Vasco - A former Antivan crow who decided instead of fulfilling a contract on the Herald’s life, he would warn them instead. Tired of being a pawn and wanting to make something of himself, he joins the Inquisition. He knows the Crows won’t take lightly to this and is always looking over his shoulder.
Shalelan Amalasis - A Dalish warrior from the Amalasis clan in Antiva. Shalelan is sent as an envoy to a Dalish Inquisitor, to work with the Inquisition and hopefully sway for some help with Clan Amalasis’ feud with the merchant princes of Antiva.
Shamut Adaar - a qunari mage, younger brother of the Adaar killed at the Conclave. He learned his magic from a tal-vashoth apostate and works with the Valo-Kas like his siblings. He goes with his sister to find out who killed their sibling.
Other - May be able to fit in with game timelines in some verses
Request only
Antoinette de Ghislain - formerly an Orlesian bard, Antoinette ended up marrying into the de Ghislain family with an arrangement with Laurent de Ghislain. After having two children, an heir and a spare, the couple don’t spend much time with each other and Antoinette decided to earn an income for herself by writing erotic fiction about the heroes of Thedas, a hot topic among the Orlesian nobles.
Emrys Moysten - A Fereldan mage and Isolationist, Emrys formerly worked with the Inquisition but once the threat of Corypheus was past, left to see about setting up a mage commune away from others who would be a hinderance and in danger from the magic. He finds himself in Tevinter and realizing the danger is not yet passed.
Etienne de Rousseau - a former Senior Enchanter for the White Spire. The legitimized bastard son of Maquis de Rousseau and his mage lover, Etienne has had some ease being a mage. Yet he joined the Mage Rebellion after the events of Asunder and knowing things were too far gone. He was sent by Fiona as the negotiator to the Conclave, where he was killed. He does have AU where he functions as an advisor in the Inquisition.
Falon’Din - the Evanuris and God of Death and Fortune. Vain and ambitious, Falon’Din has always sought for his own personal gain and power, often putting him at odds with Elgar’Nan. When the Breach occurred, Falon’Din managed to find his way out through a rift, but by cruel fate, vallaslin appeared on his face and worked as a seal, containing a fair amount of his powers. He now seeks to undo the seal so he can gain control of the world while the other Evanuris are locked away.
Fenvir - the what if child of Idrilla Lavellan and Solas. Fenvir is a gifted dreamer and mage, but often finds himself feeling as if he doesn’t fit much of anywhere. Deciding he needs to stop his father and persuade him to find a different path, at 18 years, Fenvir leaves home to find a better solution and a way to convince his father to stop his plans.
Mathras Myriani - A former priest and soothsayer of Mythal’s temple. Mathras, in his youth, made the mistake of trying to advise Falon’Din during one of his visits and was blinded by the enraged Evanuris. After the fall of Elvhenan, Mathras did what he could for a time to help the elves left with their destroyed world. Yet he soon found himself falling into Utherena. He was guarded for a time but was forgotten when the Imperium conquered. He awoke in 9:30 due to the stirrings in the Fade.
Vincentius Titus - the former apprentice of Magister Aurelian Titus, he is now magister in after his death. He was born to a Soporati family but abandoned them in his ambitions. He is a blood mage and feels the Chantry holds back the Imperium and desires to return to the old ways, but with better social movement for mages, no matter the class they were born into while non-mages have little rights.

One big HC I have for Maeve is when she is forced into a leadership role, she acts the part... but only so much.  She has no idea what so ever what she is doing. She is not used to people looking to her for anything. Not her opinion and certainly not for answers to their problems. A lot of her choices are based on what she thinks that someone who she belives knows what they are doing in a leadership role would do.
The whole situation with the Templars for example, because I just played it in-game, she pretty much handled things how she thought the Hero of Ferlden would have... because Maeve really looks up to Ella (my HoF that I used for her world state) as a leader because she saw how she saved everyone from the Blight. Even though the Templars were corrupted and wrong, they still could be soldiers and still had purpose. She takes a very pragmatic view on recruitment because of that.
She knows they need bodies to fight a war, and even if she doesn’t agree.. she still needs soldiers. They need to put their issues aside and unite to fight for the greater good.
I see her coming into her own with time, I see Cullen, Leliana, Viv, Solas and probably even Alistair,  really trying to be guiding hands to encourage her to trust her own instincts. Cullen probably does a lot of work of building her up, because he does everything possible to make her see herself as he sees her. Leilana reminds her of how far she has come. Viv is her cheerleader and mentor like I see Viv being the one to remind her that she is not a dumb child. That she is far smarter than she appears and really makes her believe in her own intelligence. Solas wants to see her do well in a leadership role but not lose her humanity and kindness. I feel like Solas would keep her honest and not falling into the Chantry’s hand.
Alistair I feel is a wild card on this matter, I think he would be sympathetic to her situation. Yet, because they have a very brother/sister almost parent/child relationship he also wants to protect her from the harsh realities of the situation though she is a grown woman. I have very specific HC about what happens in the fade and that Hawke and Maeve gang up on Alistair so he doesn’t sacrifice himself... but all that aside... I think the biggest thing is Alistair stays at Skyhold after Addment and joins the leadership council (don’t judge this trashy AU world of mine...) vs returning to the Wardens. This actually is a very bold move on Alistair’s part but he does it because he wants to make sure Maeve comes out of the war alive and it’s the one place he felt useful.

Val, the middle child OC.
Val deserves some love and attention so here are a few Val things!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Honestly Val is a lot more of a dick than a dork - like yeah, he's the ultimate bro with secret anger and abandonment issues, but he's also an absolute wanker and I love that about him! He'll happily antagonise everyone and anyone just because he's bored and wanted something to do. Dudes and uppity little prick and I love him.
2. Modern AU? Val was one of those scene/emo kids as a teen (like ages 12 - 17) who wore all black and band tees and listened to screamo and all that. Now that he's older, he wears whatever the fuck he wants (still band tees but like less black skinny jeans), his wardrobe is a giant explosion of patterns and colours. He loves wearing fun, pretty things - still listens to the screamo rock though.
3. Val is insecure about his looks buT I love his face, I do. I love his jawline and the fact that his head is more rectangle than all my other OCs, and he's got one of the best noses (no the best - that goes to Beau) and it's all cute and bumpy and his lips are amazing - they're not quite pouty, not quite a cupid's bow but something in between. He's got scars and he isn't perfect and I think that's what I love the most? He's himself.
4. Val is half-Dalish, half-City elf. He grew up in an Orlesian Alienage and he a city boy, but he also grew up in a Dalish Clan - which is why he has a Vallaslin - and although he doesn't connect to the Dalish religion or worshiping to Dalish Creators, he still loves the lore and is always excited to learn more about his mothers heritage.
5. When everything is over, and he's a little lost, there are 2 AUs that I have for him. One is 'canon' and that's that he joins the Warden order under the HoF, Commander Meira Tabris who welcomes him with a scowl but a special understanding - both having been raised in an Alienage. The other is that he becomes a really damn good poison and toxin creator/researcher for the 'whatever the Inquisition is' after that. Val's unable to really leave Fereldan with the whole 'Solas wanting to rip apart the world' problem but he's not exactly the Herald or Inquisitor anymore so he kinda throws himself into this niche and really likes it! It's more of a hobby on the side, with Leliana and her friend Zevran's help, but it makes him happy and takes him mind off the stress.
6. He's not alone during the Inquisition aka. His adopted family absolutely comes for him, adopted family being Myrinah (his somewhat adopted older sister who he met prior to Clan Lavellan) and Eirianwen (his somewhat adopted younger sister from Clan Lavellan). Myrinah finds him in Skyhold first - Riddick and Bren alongside her, because their all family and there's no way in hell that they're letting Val do this shit on his own - and Eirianwen comes later, after the shit show at Halamshiral, she's excited to meet Dagna and Varric and gets to work in the forge almost immediately. Myrinah and Eirianwen (and Riddick and Bren to an extent) are the only ones he really breaks down in front of and trusts completely.
7. He's so smitten with Dorian it's insane. He just really likes him. Val will sit there for hours and watch Dorian talk and rant and argue with Solas with his chin in hand and a sappy, love sick smile on his face. When they finally get together, Val likes to wake up early (a fucking struggle) and run his fingers through Dorians hair as he sleeps, likes to pepper his face with kisses or wake him up by getting him off. Val just really loves his boyfriend ok.
8. He was almost trained as a bard as a child for the Orlesian nobles. The shems used to waltz into the Alienages every few months and line the children up, look over them and then take them for themselves - because no one notices little elf's running a muck. Valerio tells Leliana this at one point and watches as her entire being freezes, face going white in shock horror. After that, she and Josephine make sure to 'lure' as many Elven bards to the Inquisition as they can, making them agents as they go and then helping the ones who wish to reunite with family. Val's happy with that.

Dragon Age Questions
I wasn’t tagged but I wanna!
01) Favourite game of the series?
DAI. No contest. That game saved my life after getting out of a toxic relationship.
02) How did you discover Dragon Age?
Been a BW fangirl ever since the olden Baldur’s Gate days.
03) How many times you’ve played the games?
Too many to count. Doing a replay right now.
04) Favourite race to play as?
While I love the elven backgrounds, all of my main OCs are human ladies.
05) Favourite class?
In DAO: Rogue. In DAII: Mage. In DAI: All equally!
06) Do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time?
Same decisions each time on Main.
07) Go-to adventuring group?
DAO: Leliana, Alistair, Zevran pre Landsmeet, after the Landsmeet: Loghain, Leliana, Morrigan
08) Which of your characters did you put the most thought into?
Rhiannon Cousland. While both Desideria and Drusilla are extremely dear to me, Rhia wins by default. She’s been with me for nearly 20 years now (She was originally my Imperial Canon Nerevarine in TES: Morrowind) and I’m STILL adding and discovering nuances.
09) Favourite romance?
LOGHAIN! *Coughs* Okay.
DAO: Zevran
DAII: Merrill
DAI: Blackwall/Solas
10) Have you read any of the comics/books?
I peeked into the Gaider series bc of King Maric (And having heard that he mentions Loghain) but I am not interested in King Alistair.
11) If you read them, which was your favourite book?
I only read the first two and dropped Asunder mid book. TME isn’t Canon in my ‘verse. The Calling is better than TST, esp. Maric & Loghain acting like an old married couple. Though it infuriates me that so much material that makes Loghain’s behavior at Ostagar (Distrust of Wardens, tactical retreat etc.) is buried in material 90% of the players will never read.
12) Favourite DLCs?
Trespasser. Bar none.
13) Things that annoy you.
The Alistair favoritism in DAO. To the point that Alistair still acts like a king when he’s not and the companions don’t react to his exile or frigging EXECUTION. The sexism towards Queen Anora. The sea of bugs that is Awakening. The size of some DAI maps and their emptiness. The gift system in DAO.
14) Orlais or Ferelden?
Ferelden
15) Templars or mages?
Mages. Drusilla Trevelyan goes for Templars of the Just while the other half of her party goes to Redcliffe but I myself love the mages.
16) If you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one?
I did a few AUs with Rhia. Stardew Valley. Pillars of Eternity. Baldur’s Gate. A DA AU with @thecrownedserpent‘s lovely Hadiza Trevelyan as Inquisitor & Rhia as HoF. I am playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker with Desideria (Hawke) atm. The other origins exist in the Rhia ‘verse. Morgana Lyonesse Amell tutors Connor and eventually marries Bann Teagan. Tara Surana is the party’s main healer (Wynne came along though) and eventually marries Fergus Cousland. She reigns as Teyrna and occupies a seat in the Landsmeet. Myrna Tabris is the Hero of the Alienage and became Bann of the Alienage. Eluned Mahariel is Dalish ambassador at Queen Anora’s court. She later becomes Arlessa of Denerim, Chancellor and Queen Consort. Livia Aeducan becomes Livia Cadash after  being exiled and becomes a trader at Skyhold. Astya Brosca becomes King Bhelen’s sister in law and thus moves up from Duster to one of Orzammar’s highly sought marriage prospects. She rejects them all and stays with Leske. Unmarried. It’s quite the scandal!
17) What did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc)
Rhia’s mabari is named Gorion and Desideria’s mabari is called Styx. Drusilla Trevelyan has a black war horse, a mare named Ruffian.
18) Have you installed any mods?
Way too many.
19) Did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden?
Absolutely not.
20) Hawke’s personality?
Mainly blue and red with a dash of Purple. Desideria
21) Did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition?
No.
22) If your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change?
Rhia: Get out of bed sooner that night at Highever. Gorion had been barking for a while. She may have been able to save Oriana and Oren then.
Desideria: Save her mother in time. Distract that ogre to save Bethany.
Drusilla: Talk to Solas after the loss of the orb
23) Do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon?
Way too many to list them all!
24) Are any of your character(s) based on someone?
Not really, no. Though I drew a lot of inspiration from Empress Elisabeth of Austria for Rhia.
25) Who did you leave in the Fade?
Stroud bc Loghain is topside leading the siege with Cullen and Alistair is Warden Constable at the Vigil.
26) Favourite mount?
I don’t use them a lot but THE PURPLE NUG!

actually actually i think if/while at haven in disguise, novhen should sometimes be humming some unknown melody when the inquisitor walks by
because if he's there then, as an actual warden, he should 100% be hearing the false calling, and it's supposed to be quite beautiful despite how bonechilling it should be
besides, it's not like there's anyone there that can call him out for humming the song of the old gods. how would they even know?

WiP Wednesday
Status: *cries into Google doc files*
I started doing Writeober, but honestly, with work and still trying to recharge the mental, social, AND Positive Person batteries from this past weekend, my energy is at almost zero right now to keep up with a daily prompt list.
Instead of stressing over it and pushing myself to keep going (which sort of negates the whole fun aspect of it all for me, IMO) I’m going “yay, that’s four more one-shots that probably wouldn’t have gotten written this year!” instead of beating myself up for only making it to day 4.
Things I am still working on:
1. Modern AU prompt from like 4 months ago that’s at the halfway point (I will finish this sometime, I swear!)
2. Half-written oneshot based on how ridiculous Rolfe looks with some of the in-game beards
3. Avvar AU post-Fallow Mire meeting in Vincent’s POV
4. Cullen/Ada thing that’s still at the half-formed idea stage, but just look at this cutie.
Tumblr media
She needs me to write something cute about her and her Commander boyfriend.
5. Witch of the Wilds AU snippet that @alittlestarling and I were yelling about this morning where Vincent’s an Amell HoF instead of a Trevelyan Inquisitor, Roz was raised in the swamp with Morrigan, and their firstborn Bryony has the Old God soul living in her head instead of Kieran’s. Cut to ten years later and Vincent, with “Hey, I just found a way to cure the Wardens” news decides to just travel to Skyhold to reunite with the family he hasn’t seen in over two years and share the news in person instead of writing a letter.
As usual, if anyone has any questions for me or just wants to drop by to say hello, my inbox is open!

It’s a good thing Novhen is generally unfit for fieldwork these days (post-Origins) because he’s an exceptional darkspawn tracker, and if the Inquisitor ever had both him and Blackwall in the party, you’d have Novhen announcing "Five genlocks and an emissary coming in on the right" with enough time to do something about whereas Blackwall is getting them just as they crest the hill with a vague "Darkspawn incoming"
And when Inky points out the discrepancy, Novhen (who’s got some vague interest in maintaining Blackwall ’s cover) has to go "Hm? Oh, some Wardens just aren’t very good at sensing the darkspawn" while Blackwall is sweating bullets

HoF at Skyhold: Something about Blackwall
Small edits and additional texts in relation to my HoF at Skyhold A?U and Blackwall's companion quest. The displayed alternations do not necessarily depict how this A?U would be implemented into my actual worldstate
A good portion of this Novhen's voice is slightly different than you might have come to expect from him, but he's also working among few friends and needs to present himself very carefully.
Thom Ranier's Fate: Connections Text
We can send Warden-Commander Tabris to parley with the Val Royeaux city officials. If he can make a claim to Thom Rainier falling under the jurisdiction of the Grey Wardens, few in Orlais will question him.
Thom Ranier's Fate: Connections Results
The Warden-Commander was able to retrieve Rainier without any difficulty. Despite the events of Fort Adamant, there remains little doubt of Orlais's admiration of the Grey Wardens. Rainier awaits your judgment. Josephine
Thom Rainier's Fate and Rainier's Release: An Alternative Postscript. At the end of each results screen, there is an additional letter.
Inquisitor <Surname>, I understand you will be presiding over the trial of Thom Rainier. As Rainier is a Warden-Recruit and his crimes include desertion and the impersonation of a Warden-Constable, the Order has the preeminent right to judge him. I ask that you keep that in mind as you move forward with your proceedings. My gratitude, Warden-Commander Tabris
Sit In Judgment of Rainier
Novhen himself is not present for the trial. As he refuses to forfeit his right to judge Blackwall, it was determined that he would pose too great of a risk to the Inquisitor's legitimacy as the judge for that case if he were. (That's how you know you're making the right decisions!) Leliana makes a trade with him in exchange for his passivity, but neither side will reveal the nature of the trade. What's it with spies and secrets?
Sit In Judgment of Rainier: Freed With Connections
Blackwall: What did you have to do to release me? Inquisitor: I did little. The Warden-Commander of Ferelden arranged for it. Blackwall: And I presume it was allowed under the impression that he would be the one to carry out my judgment, but we've already done so much to discredit the Grey Wardens. What's one more insult to their Order?
Post-Sit in Judgment of Rainier: Asking Novhen about the fate of Blackwall
This is a bit messy to organize, but blue text is Novhen. To help visualize the multiple choice, each "➡" represents a deeper layer of the dialogue tree.
Investigate: Let's talk about Blackwall.
(IF ordered to serve as a fake Grey Warden) "Sentencing a man to impersonate a Warden in front of such a large crowd was an interesting move."
➡We needed a Warden.
➡➡"Then you should have ask me. You'd be hard-pressed to find another with more influence short of heading all the way to the Anderfels."
➡➡(cont. IF Wardens exiled) "And if you're really so desperate, don't forget the hundred-some you just sent marching there. There were options." (End)
➡He's made his bed.
➡➡"And you're just ensuring he lie in it. I know this story. Maker forbid someone try to make up for his past." (End)
➡Weisshaupt had better not hear a word of this.
➡➡"With so many assembled, I'm sure the news is already on its way. Gossip travels fast, and few ears in this court will be devoted to only you. I hope you didn't expect otherwise." (End)
(IF pardoned) "I don't know the full situation around his recruitment, but there are circumstances where a recruit will be allowed to leave before becoming a full Warden. I will give him the benefit of the doubt. The Grey Wardens relinquish their right to him. He's your man. All I ask is you allow him a long life."
➡I will ensure it.
➡➡"Thank you, Inquisitor." / (IF elven Inquisitor) "Ma serannas, Inquisitor." (End)
➡I can't control if he survives.
➡➡"No, but you can control what you do with him. Wardens don't often live long, so please make the most of the freedom you've given him." (End)
➡If he dies, he dies.
➡➡"See that he doesn't." (End)
(IF sent to the Grey Wardens) "You made the right choice, Inquisitor. Thank you. We will wait until after Corypheus is defeated for his Joining, but until then, he's at your disposal." (End)
Codex Entry: "Blackwall" and the Last Few Years: If Blackwall's personal quest was not unlocked.
This delivers Blackwall a kinder fate than the real in-game codex because Novhen for sure knew his deal and was keeping tabs on it himself, but i had to find a way to keep him from the Inquisition. No personal quest, no Warden.
Correspondence found in the Inquisition's files, dated four months ago:
Dark Wolf, I have a request for you. I recall you offering to take Blackwall to Amaranthine to conclude his initiation. The Inquisition has looked around, but unfortunately, asking after a "Warden Blackwall" has delivered poor results. An Exalted Council awaits the Inquisition at the beginning of this upcoming Solace. His presence is requested at the council. This may be the last time the Inquisitor's inner circle will all be gathered together in one place. Please pass along this invitation to him and tell me however much you can of his current situation. -L
Nightingale, I apologize for never fully debriefing you. You know how the Order is. The true identity of the man you know as Blackwall is one Thom Rainier. The real Warden-Constable Gordon Blackwall died in 9:36. After Corypheus's defeat, Thom was offered a proper position among the Grey Wardens. He currently serves in Ferelden and the Free Marches. Warden Thom is currently on a mission in the Deep Roads and is not likely to return in time for the Exalted Council. This may be for the best. I don't think he's eager to show his face to the Inquisition again after his lies. That's the extent of what I can tell you at the moment. When he returns, I will inform him of your contact. He may yet surprise us. DW
