Forever dying over the fact that Brynjolf goes looking for you after Mercer supposedly "kills" you. Like, the most important thing to Brynjolf is obviously the guild, right? So, by default, he's loyal to the guild master, so why does he of all people distrust Mercer when he says the dragonborn is dead????? Well, lil ol' dragonborn comes stumbling along and flips his world upside down by showing him there's hope for reviving the thing he loves the most. Dragonborn does everything they can to help the guild, then gets "killed" by Mercer when they get too close to the truth of why the guild is really struggling. Like, I really wonder what Mercer said to the guild after returning from Snow Veil Sanctum that made Brynjolf question his loyalty to him.

sometimes i think about the way people talk about hate and anger

some people say that you have to let it go, and others say you have to keep it in, let it fester and never come out.

and i think to myself “neither of those sound very good!”

obviously, hate and anger and rage and all those other feelings are just like any other emotion we have, and your gonna deal with it all the time

but i think that, instead of letting it go or keeping it in, you just need to channel it into something

truthfully, you’ll want to channel into something that isn’t self destructive, but sometimes it doesn’t work out how you want it.

but that’s why we have our friends, to help us find ways to channel that anger into something that lets us use it. of course, you can’t just use them to figure it all out, you yourself still need to look at yourself and figure out what you need to do

we do things when we’re happy, and we do things when we’re sad, and know you’ve got to do something when your mad.

i wouldn’t say i’m very good at this, but i’ve gotten better at it. i’ve kept it all in, every bit of rage and anger i’ve held is right in me. it’s hard not to feel like you’ll explode at someone some days, but sometimes it just turns into a deep sadness, where you just can’t muster that rage into anything, except to fuel your sorrow.

but then, i started writing

I write about the things that have made me angry, i write about the things that piss me off, and i can channel those feelings into something that helps me. Honestly, writing is something that i really do enjoy, and i do want to do more ( but school and those fucking essays really make u hate it sometimes )

Something a little different than usual, but this is a page out of my sketchbook regarding the fur coat I designed for Sylvana that she wears during the events of Unstable. That piece can be found here.

I am a huge nerd when it comes to costume design and storytelling with costumes, so I wanted to make something that represents what she's going through in my fic. This outfit was also heavily inspired by the gorgeous fur coat Daenerys Targaryen wears in Game of Thrones.

My handwriting is kinda illegible, so my design notes will be under the cut. With some more in-depth info of course. It became a bit of an essay:

The majority of the coat is made out of an off white, creamy fur. Probably an ivory more than anything. The color represents the snow, death, and mourning. She starts wearing it after Kodlak's funeral, so it's a symbol that she's still mourning for him. The snow connection is obviously because of her snow elf heritage and it's winter time during the story. As for death, that is a bit more metaphorical. Or is IT!?!?!?

The coat is embroidered with strips of blue suede handstitched in a pattern closely related to the scale pattern of a dragon. Here is one of the reference images I used for the pattern:

Before Unstable, Sylvana was very much a reluctant hero and wanted nothing to do with being the Dragonborn. Unstable begins about a year and a half after said revelation, and she's starting to become much more comfortable with the title. This coat is the first piece of clothing she owns that was made just for her. She commissioned it from Radiant Raiment in Solitude and she specifically requested the dragon scale pattern because she thought it would be cheeky whenever a dragon tried to pick a fight and insult her with terms such as "soft belly."

The pattern also represents her growing confidence in herself and her abilities.

Blue represents her love of Skyrim and all the people she has come to care for. But most importantly, it mainly represents her growing bond with Vilkas. I also like to think that it was dyed blue with a mixture of nirnroot. Something tells me that nirnroot provides a nice blue dye.

The back of the coat features a panel of silvery, grey fur that continues to mimic the dragon scale pattern. The color silver represents change, vulnerability, and almost a sense of paranoia. And with the silver being on her back, her most vulnerable place, it also represents an incoming danger that she doesn't suspect.

And finally, the coat is lined with a light golden suede. It represents the past and a hidden connection. The golden hue is a call back to her being raised on Summerset and within the Thalmor. As for the hidden connection, it also draws back to the past, but way before she can even remember. This hidden connection represents a familial bond that she has wanted for so long, but may not be one she expects.

I think the saddest part about Unity's godawful news is that a lot of games are going to just. disappear.

it's like Unity is trying to go the way of streaming where the hidden gems and cult classics don't make enough money, so, they're taken offline. except this time it's with games (mostly indie).

to put it in perspective, hollow knight, cuphead, and ori are made in unity. so are night in the woods, tunic, and countless more indie gems. hell, AMONG US is made in unity. if the devs of any of these games can't shell out the outrageous cost, then maybe the devs will take them offline. and we'll just. never be able to play them anymore

it's a sad possibility that I don't think any of us ever had to consider. but now we do.

sometimes i think about that one saying where’s its like, you take something from every person you ever know or like how your the sum of all ur parts

and i know that that im not the same around like, all of my friend groups, but its not like im a totally different person.

I grown and i’ve changed because of the experiences i’ve had with my friends, and all my time with them has made me such a different person than i was before, but in all my changes, im still me.

Maybe this is diverging into something more personal, or maybe even a different topic, but i think that i enjoy watching more than participating sometimes, and i mean that in an overall, like this is who i am type thing

whenever i talk to my friends, sometimes ill just take a step back and watch them go about their day y’know, ill just see what they do

and i just enjoy my time listening to them, hearing them talk about the shit they like, fucking ranting about shit, it’s enjoyable, it’s like a lil podcast that happens whenever i’m around them

but it also gives me this comfort, that they’ll be ok when i’m not around, because i won’t be around forever. whenever i think about them, i always believe that they’re doin the best they can, and i always tell myself that everything will be alright, because i trust them. i trust that they’ll know the right thing that they need to do

and i know that everyone will end up fine, so i don’t have to worry.

i suppose i’ll diverge into another topic again, or maybe this is related, but sometimes, it’s hard for me to worry about others, especially when i’m not as close to them. it’s not that i don’t care about them, i still am going to be kind and respectful, because that’s just manners and shit, but i’m just not as worried about them i suppose.
