Her features are just as elegant and striking as her attire. She has a heart shaped face, near-black dark brown eyes, and loosely curled cherry red hair. Her lip color matches her dress, and her hair, and her skin glows in the slowly reddening sunlight. "Uh," says Eddie eloquently. "I, uh. I think you have the wrong place. Ma'am." The woman - the lady, really; the way she's dressed surely she can't be called anything else - doesn't smile, but Eddie thinks she catches a dimple crease her cheek on one side before it's gone again. "Watchtower Investigations?" she asks. Her voice sounds like one that could be heard at a vintage speakeasy, crooning sad slow jazz tunes to an audience of pipe smoking men in pinstripe suits. "Yes- Sorry," Eddie says. She steps aside and holds the door for the lady like a gentleman. "Don't worry yourself, doll," says the Lady in Red. "I'm overdressed, I know." She adjusts the sheer, glittering shawl gathered at her elbows and steps past Eddie into the house with the click-click of high heels. She smells, somewhat unexpectedly, like leather. Eddie leads the Lady in Red up to the office, holding open the door with the frosted window for her too. She has the half-hysterical urge to pull out her chair as well, but there's no table to pull it from. She sits in the wooden chair in front of the desk. Eddie takes the wingback behind it. "What can I- we do for you, Miss…?" Eddie asks leadingly. The Lady's dimple comes back, and this time it stays. Eddie tries not to feel too proud of herself, just for a little politeness. True, it's not a skill of hers, and she usually doesn't even bother to try, but still. "Miz," the Lady corrects smoothly. "Jessica. And I want you to solve a murder."

THE BIRDHOUSE: CUSTOM WOODWORK & ART STUDIO

A brightly colored mural on the outside of its storefront makes The Birdhouse impossible to miss. Previously an auto repair shop, the building has been gutted, car lifts and repair tools replaced with a different kind of equipment. On entering, patrons of The Birdhouse are greeted by the scents of paint and freshly cut wood, and a set of shelves offering an ever-changing selection of hand-crafted and refurbished items available for purchase. Past the shelves lies studio space available for artists and creators–walk-ins are welcome to make use of communal studio space for a small fee, though time may also be booked in advance, and a handful of private workrooms are available for short or long-term bookings. Experienced patrons are welcome to bring their own projects, while those curious about creating will find the staff is happy to help them find a starting place with on-site materials--decorate premade pottery or paint a pre-sketched canvas. The entirety of the studio may be booked for parties or events. For those looking to expand their artistic skills without the commitment of The Institute’s art program, The Birdhouse offers regular workshops and events, ranging from structured weekly courses to happy hour courses where patrons are encouraged to sip wine or cocktails as they’re led through a project. A small second story holds the only studio space not available for public use–owner Noah Wright’s private woodworking studio, where those interested in custom furniture, jewelry, or other hand-carved goods may meet with the man himself to discuss commissions. Commissions are by appointment only. New to the island? The Birdhouse offers a New Arrival special–patrons who present their welcome packet at the front desk will receive a one-time-only discount–newly arrived slaves receive two hours of studio time free, while newly arrived masters receive two hours of studio time 50% off.

Madrigal and Karou - Daughter of Smoke and Bone I actually sketched this fanart about two years ago. I found it and definitely wanted to do a digital revamp. I'm not gonna lie I can't do animal things very well : ( Plus I always imagined Karou with a pixi-cut hairstyle and Madrigal with longer hair. Lined and coloured on my phone with auto desk Sketchbook. I am a fussy reader but I eat up anything and everything Laini Taylor writes and this is my favourite trilogy. I read it every now and again and never go numb. So good!

“Im asking you as your friend put a end to me” ☆ The art ☆ This a re-draw of my first kingdom hearts fan art i draw it back in April last year just before finishing bbs it was the first time id draw humans since October 2019 and yeah in the original it definitely shows with my re-draw i wanted to change the pose and expression kinda when a bit over board though i was listening to the drawfee video where they muck around in clip studio with the 3D models and i though “hey maybe i can look up clip studio 3d models and use that as a pose reference instead of the pose the original was trying to copy in the first place” so i did it’s definitely not perfect the clothes were a real struggle and i still dont think they look right but apart from the the back hand im so proud (pun intended) I completely changed the pose and i think it payed off and mine the gap as we jump ship drawing hands sucks i hate it but ven’s front hand for some incompetence able reason was my favourite part to draw ☆ changes ☆ -as established in the prior paragraph i changed the pose so ven is swinging his key blade right at you rather then hovering in mind air or whatever he’s doing -i also changed the odd bit of armour cuz as cool as the bbs trios armour is its such a pain to draw especially at weird ageless -speaking of pain to draw coloured lines in sketch book auto desk so those are gone to -i made the lighter line of the circle thicker -removed ventus’s name instead erasing a line around him -and colour picked from ven’s heart station vs his model or the old art and the second most notable change ☆ Why are ventus eyes green?” ☆ simple i saw a mode once where ventus had green eyes and i though it looked cool and that there are to many characters with blue eyes so from then on i decided to give ven green eyes (also just saying green and red are opposites on the colour weel) ☆ Time taken ☆ im not sure i drew this over the course of three days (probably could have gotten it done in two but i got side tracked playing ace attorney) -☆in conclusion☆- Ventus is best boi!Green eyes supremacy!! play bbs it amazing!!! Just a pad for all my fellow artist:

Procreate pocket works just as well. It has all the same brushes, tools, effects, etc. On an iPad, the screen does shrink ever so slightly (I’ll attach a photo) but it’s workable. You get used to it and figure out how to work around it.

Circled areas are where the screen shrinks.

If you can’t afford either of the procreates, here are some great free alternatives:

IbisPaint X

MediBang paint (if you use an iPad make sure it’s MediBang paint and not just MediBang. Yes it makes a difference)

Sketchbook/auto desk sketch book

Iartbook (I highly recommend this one. Has pretty much all the procreate stuff, even animation)
