i keep seeing pearl/rick - both here and on the big r&m discord server, as well as on tiktok for some reason??

some seem very negative; bringing up valid points about pearl being a lesbian or rick being toxic, or just generally hating crack ships.

some are pretty positive! supporting the artists and saying it sounds cool or cute or chaotic.

but one of the biggest debates i’ve witnessed is over this image:

anyway, i’d like to settle the debate. yes, pearl is alive in that fanart, even tho basic steven universe knowledge says she would have to give up her form to have a child - and sure you (fictional person i’m lecturing) are correct on that. BUT she wouldn’t have to give up her form if she got rick pregnant.

For the record i think Rick Sanchez x Pearl from Steven Universe is one of the funniest crackships i have ever seen. It makes cackle everytime i see it.

It makes no sense whatsoever, it involves two characters that are very different from shows that only have one or two things in common and the edits involved are hilarious as fuck.

Though smart they may be, they always try to numb the pain in different ways. One alcoholic, one addict, and one keeper. They all have something in common, and that is the love they had to go through. But later on they learn to grow into a different person and possibly, a better one.
