About Teylan hat
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A "serious" question (that will help me with writing)
(spoiler tag bc some people don't like to see)
Tumblr media
Teylan really love his cutie hat and this information is stuck in my mind the same way his hat in in his head
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really want to draw and write things with Teylan x So'lek, but So'lek probably don't approve his appreciation with human things, even a simple hat (anyway he would understand and let his precious boy keep it)
There would be another alternative for a Na'vi version of this hat?
You thing they would do another one for him if he lost this one?

Disney CEO Bob Iger Announces Development of Iconic Franchise Follow-Ups
Tumblr media
Fans of beloved characters Elsa, Buzz Lightyear and Judy Hopps can rest easy knowing they haven’t seen the last of them. Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that the studio is currently developing new sequels for the Frozen, Toy Story and Zootopia franchises.
This move by Disney is not unexpected, as all three franchises have proven to be huge commercial and cultural hits.
With the original film’s over $1 billion worldwide box office haul, a sequel that also set records, a hit Broadway musical, and a ton of merchandise and theme park attractions, the Frozen franchise has become a cultural phenomenon.
Meanwhile, Toy Story has been an integral part of the Disney/Pixar brand for decades, with sequels like Toy Story 3 and 4 each grossing over $1 billion in theaters.
Although Zootopia has yet to receive a sequel, the first film was a huge hit, grossing $1.025 billion worldwide and inspired a Disney+ spin-off series. This just shows the timeless charm and popularity of these beloved characters.
Disney made a wise choice to keep these franchises going because audiences have shown a lot of affection and love for these characters and their stories.
The company’s commitment to these franchises is a testament to its ability to create timeless and enduring stories that capture the hearts of audiences around the world.
Prime Movies
Disney has enjoyed great success with franchises such as Frozen, Toy Story, and Zootopia, but not all animation ventures have been successful.
The studio’s most recent release, Strange World, only earned $74 million at the global box office, a far cry from the billion-dollar success of other Disney films.
However, it’s worth noting that some of Disney’s original animated movies have performed better on streaming platforms than in theaters. Encanto is a prime example, earning $257 million at the box office before becoming a hit on Disney+.
This trend highlights the shift in consumer behavior towards streaming, and Disney’s ability to adapt and find success through different avenues.
The recent investor call with Disney CEO Bob Iger also revealed that the company will be cutting 7,000 jobs as part of its effort to find $5.5 billion in savings.
Despite this, Iger also announced plans to bring James Cameron’s Avatar to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The new attraction, details of which have yet to be revealed, is expected to be similar to the popular Pandora attraction in Walt Disney World in Orlando.
Overall, while Disney’s recent original animated ventures may not have performed as well as its franchises, the company is still poised for success with its plans for new sequels for Frozen, Toy Story, and Zootopia, as well as its continued presence in the theme park and streaming space.
With a track record of adaptation and innovation, Disney is sure to remain a leader in the entertainment industry for years to come.
Fans can expect more information about these new sequels soon, but for now, they can rest assured knowing that the adventures of Elsa, Buzz Lightyear, and Judy Hopps are far from over.
Get ready to join them on new and exciting journeys, as we haven’t seen the last of these beloved characters just yet...Read More

Star Wars Outlaws Preview - Exclusive Hands-On Impressions - Game Informer

Star Wars Outlaws Preview - Exclusive Hands-On Impressions - Game Informer
Tumblr media
As one of the main components of our trip out to Malmö, Sweden, for this issue’s cover story, we were the first to get our hands on Star Wars Outlaws, the highly anticipated open-world action game from Massive Entertainment, the studio behind The Division and last year’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Taking place between Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Outlaws puts you in the shoes of Kay Vess, a common pickpocket-turned-thief who gets in over her head and becomes a player in the thriving underworld during this dark period in the Star Wars timeline.
Mirogana
Star Wars Outlaws features several planets and moons for players to explore, including iconic and well-known locales like Tatooine, Kijimi, and Akiva, but my hands-on demo takes place entirely on Toshara, a new moon created by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Given the timeline placement of Star Wars Outlaws, the Empire’s presence is immediately felt and consistently present. After landing on Toshara following an unfortunate turn of events, Kay heads to the moon’s capital city, Mirogana.
Mirogana is dense and multi-leveled, but it was intentionally designed to not be a sprawling city like in other open-world games. “If you open up the map, the location that we’ve built for Mirogana is quite compact,” creative director Julian Gerighty says. “What we wanted to do is to have something that is very dense in activities rather than super expansive where you get lost, and there’s not much to do. It’s very, very focused on providing a dense, busy city experience.”
Tumblr media
Following an encounter with a Stormtrooper at the entrance to the city, Kay flashes a fake identification and is allowed through. This exchange is a reminder of the state of the galaxy in this space between the two classic films. Making her way through Mirogana, Kay ignores the beckoning shopkeeps, arcade games, betting areas, and a table hosting the in-universe card game Sabacc to find her way to the cantina. In each city you visit, the cantina is always a central location for getting the lay of the land, gathering intel, and finding work. Toshara – and Mirogana in particular – is primarily a Pyke enclave despite being home to other syndicates as well.
To gain some ground with the Pyke Syndicate, Kay wants to speak with their leader, Gorak. Sadly, he’s in a private VIP section of the cantina, so Kay needs to find a backdoor. Luckily, Kay’s hairpin is a dataspike, so I can lockpick a side door using a rhythm-based minigame. After entering the backroom of the cantina, I see a blue icon in the distance. These icons demonstrate that Kay can send her companion, Nix, to interact with it. In this case, he fetches the item and brings it back. Nix is a merqaal, a new species created in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Gerighty describes him as having two sides: Nix is very cute and friendly but also extremely protective of Kay, even to the point of aggression.
Kay reaches Gorak’s suite and is immediately picked out by the Pyke Syndicate leader as an intruder. Kay gets a chance at face time, but after making a joke that lands with a thud and name-dropping the wrong person, Gorak has his guards toss her out. So much for making headway with the Pyke Syndicate. As Kay dusts herself off, Nix reveals he stole Gorak’s ring during the scuffle. A voice tells her that might be an unwise move given the Pyke’s power.
Pyke Infiltration
Tumblr media
The voice comes from Danka, a Mirogana broker. She gives Kay a rundown of the syndicates operating on Toshara, then offers her a job from an unknown client. The job? Steal a file from a heavily guarded Pyke stronghold.
This mission surfaces one of the defining elements of Star Wars Outlaws: the Reputation System. Kay must navigate the criminal underworld through four syndicates, each with its own leader. Jabba the Hutt, leader of the Hutt Cartel, stands out as the most recognizable underworld boss Kay crosses paths with, but she’ll also deal with Lady Qi’ra (who many know from Emilia Clarke’s portrayal in Solo: A Star Wars Story) of Crimson Dawn, Queen Ashiga of the Ashiga Clan (a new syndicate created for Outlaws), and Gorak of the Pyke Syndicate.
The Reputation System represents your standing with these four syndicates, ranging from Terrible to Excellent for each individual group. Your reputation with each syndicate determines how that criminal organization treats you. Having a good reputation may mean they let you walk freely in their hideouts, offer you special stock or discounts at shops in their territories, and even help you out if you get into a hairy situation with another syndicate or even the Empire.
In my case, my introduction to the system starts with the mission of stealing from the Pyke Syndicate. I take Kay to the front entrance of Pyke territory, but the organization isn’t exactly eager to roll out the red carpet, even though I just met with their boss. Since my standing with them is firmly in the “Poor” section of the meter, I’ll need to sneak in. I loop down a back alley, climb a ledge, and emerge in a restricted Pyke area.
Star Wars Outlaws strives to provide player agency, but in early portions of a hideout infiltration, you need to be stealthy. As such, Kay’s blaster is off-limits until she can get deeper into the territory. However, you can perform stealthy takedowns to clear the path to her destination. This is where Nix really comes in handy, as you can guide him from the shadows to either distract or attack guards. In this instance, I go the slightly louder route of having Nix run up the guard’s leg and latch onto his head. This way may be a bit louder, but it also means I can have Kay sprint up and take the guard out without being detected.
After taking out and sneaking past a few guards, I find a door that Kay can lockpick. After completing the rhythm minigame, Kay finds herself in what appears to be a maintenance room. Using Nix’s senses, Kay can spot the electrical circuits in the walls, which tell you which buttons to press to call the elevator needed to reach the next area. Sadly, the first elevator doesn’t raise high enough, and the second elevator’s button is out of reach for Kay – but not for Nix. By directing Nix to press the button, Kay lowers the second elevator, creating a makeshift staircase to climb onto a grated wall to reach a ledge. Continuing into the ventilation shafts, a whirling fan impedes Kay’s path, but by telling Nix to pull down the shutter, Kay can blast the power supply and get past the fan.
Tumblr media
I use Kay’s grapple hook to swing across a gap, and she reaches the area with the file. Unfortunately, it’s protected by an energy shield with two generators. Even worse, the area is heavily guarded. Since I’ve entered fully hostile territory, I’m able to choose my approach to the generators: Do I continue my stealthy approach, or do I pull Kay’s blaster out of her holster and go in guns blazing? I decide to try the path of least resistance and continue operating in the shadows. Using Kay’s binoculars, I mark enemies to keep track of them once I descend to ground level.
I take out a few enemies using a combination of Nix’s distractions and the “stun” setting on Kay’s blaster, but it doesn’t take long for a guard to spot me, and a shootout begins. Unfortunately, I did not think to disable the alarm system, so it’s triggered. Even if I had taken down the alarm system, it wouldn’t have made a difference, as I accidentally walk past the sightline of a security camera.
I dig in and try my best to keep the Pykes at bay. As I take out more and more Pykes, stronger enemy types emerge with shields and more advanced weaponry. Thankfully, I have healing items, and the fallen enemies drop better weapons than Kay’s blaster that she can use until they run out of ammo. Since I triggered an alarm, my reputation with the Pykes drops; had I made it through without being spotted, my reputation with them would not have taken a hit.
Sadly, that’s not how this played out, as the bodies are piling up, and the enemies are closing in on my location with an increased intensity. At the risk of exposing myself and doing something rash, I make a break for it. In breaking the line of sight with the guards, a blue silhouette shows my last-known location; that’s the first place they’ll look before fanning out to try and find me. I use this temporary de-escalation to make a break for the generators. After quietly taking down the guards stationed by them, I deactivate both generators and go to retrieve what I came for.
The Reputation Game
Tumblr media
Kay accesses the terminal and easily finds the file the mysterious client wanted, but she finds something even juicier: video footage of one of Gorak’s underlings plotting against him. Ever the opportunist, Kay knows that someone would pay a pretty penny for this information – maybe even Gorak. That’s right; even after the violence I just took part in with the Pykes – my face on camera and everything – Kay still considered going to their leader. That’s because there’s somewhat of an understanding in the criminal underworld that these relationships aren’t about making friends. They’re about mutual benefit.
It seems like Kay is set on giving it to Gorak to curry favor, but after returning to the Mirogana cantina with the file for the client, she spots another opportunity. It turns out the anonymous client was a member of Crimson Dawn, and this file retrieval was a test to see if the syndicate could rely on Kay for more important jobs. With a foot now in the door, Kay thinks fast, wondering if she should give the extra file regarding the Pyke Syndicate coup to Crimson Dawn instead. At this moment, the player has a choice: Do you provide it to the Pyke Syndicate as initially planned or your new associates in Crimson Dawn? I opt to give it to Crimson Dawn, causing my reputation with them to increase.
After Stealth Mission
After taking an optional job with another quest giver in the cantina, I return to Danka for more work. She tells me to go to a particular merchant to retrieve a part for Kay’s blaster. Sadly, when I arrive, I learn he doesn’t have it, but I can probably steal the part from a nearby syndicate. Player agency and the Reputation System again pop up in my playthrough, as I can choose if I want to steal it from the Pyke Syndicate or Crimson Dawn. Both of them have a presence in Mirogana, but since I have a better reputation with Crimson Dawn, they let me walk right in without resistance.
However, even with my decent reputation with them, they’ll only let me get so close. My reputation isn’t good enough to get into the guarded heart of Crimson Dawn territory, so it’s back to the stealth mechanics. Like the earlier Pyke encounter, if I can get in and get out without raising the alarm, Kay’s reputation with Crimson Dawn won’t take a hit, so I make that my goal. After some close calls and last-second takedowns, I reach the part without making Crimson Dawn skittish about trusting me.
Outside the City Walls
Tumblr media
Before wrapping up my demo, I get a brief chance to explore the open world of Toshara outside of Mirogana. With a press of a button, I summon a speeder, which Massive designed with inspiration from a Swedish motorbike manufacturer. The vehicle feels excellent in action – smooth, quick, and agile like a speeder should. After some brief navigation that includes hearing radio chatter for some activities I could pursue, I arrive at a small town called Jaunta’s Hope, which is the current location of Kay’s ship, the Trailblazer.
I need to go to a nearby building and grab an item from it, but the door is locked. After a quick modification to Kay’s blaster, her weapon gains the Ion Blast ability, which gives her an advantage over droid enemies and allows her to solve environmental puzzles like this one. Kay can access the building and loot all the goodies by shooting the two transformers for the lock with the Ion Blast.
Unfortunately, just as I was starting to get a true feel for the gameplay loop of Star Wars Outlaws, my session ended. I didn’t have an opportunity to explore the Reputation System truly, but I love the notion of keeping up appearances with the various syndicates, not to mention making sure not to annoy the Empire too much.
After spending my afternoon taking in the sights and sounds of Toshara, I came away excited about how far you can manipulate the various systems at play in Star Wars Outlaws. Massive Entertainment came into the project wanting to create the ultimate scoundrel experience set in the Star Wars galaxy, and from what I’ve seen and played, it has a lot of important elements in place to accomplish that goal. I’m more excited than ever to get my hands on the final product when it arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 30.

Star Wars Outlaws is looking to completely embody the original trilogy
Tumblr media
A brand-new behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars Outlaws, which will bring Ubisoft's open-world game design to a galaxy far, far away next year, was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. This Star Wars Outlaws video has developer interviews, gameplay clips, concept art, and additional information that will keep you up to date until the game's release. We got some pretty comprehensive Star Wars Outlaws gameplay from Ubisoft after the game’s initial reveal, and now we’ve put together all the biggest snippets from the new BTS video. According to associate art director Marthe Jonkers, the Ubisoft Massive team has been “diving into the LucasFilm archives and really bringing alive in a new but very genuine way.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP-qOFPg314 The most famous location getting this treatment is undoubtedly Tatooine, which Ubisoft says will include new points of interest outside of Mos Eisley and the moisture farms. There’s even the entirely new location of Toshara, which has been built “from the ground up with the scoundrel fantasy at its beating heart” according to LucasFilm’s Steve Blank. Ubisoft says it’s also been going back to Ralph McQuarrie’s iconic Star Wars concept art and Joe Johnstone’s storyboards to create a lived-in galaxy. Toshara is made up of Star Wars DNA, despite being a new location for the universe, which is something Ubisoft says it wants to carry throughout the entire game. A previous Ubisoft video also revealed that Star Wars Outlaws has a GTA-style wanted system, which will see more and more Empire forces come down on you the more havoc and chaos you cause. It’s also unclear right now if Ubisoft will be bringing both Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora to Valve’s Steam platform, with Star Wars only listed for Ubisoft Connect on PC at present. With Star Wars Outlaws still a while off, we’ve put together the best single-player games currently available on PC to keep you busy, alongside all the essential Star Wars games you should play before Outlaws arrives. New Star Wars Lands to Blast Off at Disneyland and Disney World

New Star Wars Lands to Blast Off at Disneyland and Disney World
01of 09
Disney Parks’ Creative Force Awakens
•••
February 2016 update: Disney presented a Disneyland 60th anniversary celebration TV special on ABC (the network that is part of its vast media empire) and included a segment about the Star Wars lands hosted by none other than Harrison Ford. The special didn’t reveal too much that hadn’t already been divulged. Although Disney is still referring to the projects as “Star Wars-themed lands,” Han Solo, er Mr. Ford, called them “The Star Wars Experience.” That may or may not be the official name.
Previously written in 2015: After many months of vague promises from company honchos and speculation by rabid fans, Disney CEO Bob Iger finally made it official: Star Wars rides are on the way.
Speaking at the 2015 D23 Expo, Mickey’s boss said that Star Wars-themed lands — and yes, that’s “lands” with an “s,” as in more than one — will be built at both the original Disneyland Park and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios , part of Walt Disney World in Florida. Big Thunder Ranch and nearby areas will be used at Disneyland. It’s unclear exactly where the land will be located at Disney World, although it would make sense to place it near the existing Star Tours ride.
Each of the lands will span 14 acres, which is enormous for theme parks. As to the level of detail and immersion, Iger assured the D23 crowd that his merry band of Imagineers would build “jaw-dropping new worlds.” Just look at Disney’s lush rendering at the top of the page to get a sense of what’s coming.
When, you surely want to know, will all of this galactic goodness be good to go? Opening dates and nearly all other details about the Star Wars park projects are still unknown. Iger and others at the D23 Expo kept emphasizing that such a massive undertaking would take time to develop and build. Reportedly, construction will begin in 2017. I wouldn’t anticipate that anything would open much before 2020, so you’ll have to hang tight for awhile.
Pilot the Millennium Falcon
So, what details were revealed? Rather than re-create an existing world from the Star Wars canon, the lands will represent an entirely new world. According to Bob Chapek, chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, guests will enter a “gateway planet on the outer rim.” The way station, which Chapek also referred to as a “remote frontier town,” will include established characters as well as new ones.
There will be two major attractions, both of which sound like they will be media-based rides. One will invite rookie pilots to fly a mission aboard the Millennium Falcon, Han Solo’s “bucket of bolts” from the original trilogy. With talk about “customized adventures,” it appears that this could be some sort of an interactive ride with many variables.
The other announced attraction will place visitors in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. If that doesn’t sound familiar, it’s because the story will focus on the new movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will open in December 2015.
Care for Some Blue Milk?
In addition to the blockbuster rides, expect the Star Wars lands to be encompassing and rich environments that will be feasts for the senses. At D23, Scott Trowbridge, portfolio creative executive and the Imagineer tapped to lead the Star Wars projects, hinted at what’s to come.
“Who ever wondered what Bantha fodder smelled like?” he teased. (The foul-smelling food is used as a pejorative term in the Star Wars universe.) Trowbridge also indicated that guests might be able to taste blue milk, a yummy treat. I don’t know whether either of the items will be available for actual consumption, but there will be a Cantina restaurant with themed dishes.
That kind of multi-sensory focus and attention to detail is indicative of the extreme level of themeing that the major park operators are now incorporating into their lands. Disney may have pioneered the concept of the theme park, but arch-rival Universal took themeing to new levels with the impeccable Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade lands at its Orlando resort. Harry will head west into Disneyland’s playground when Universal Studios Hollywood opens its Potter land in 2016.
Disney responded with its over-the-top, single-intellectual-property project, Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. The new Star Wars lands will continue the high-stakes brinkmanship. Iger said that the intergalactic outpost will be filled with humanoids, aliens, and droids and that the shops and eateries will be “run by local inhabitants. Nothing will be out of character.”
Nothing but Star Wars
All of the devotion to detail and wild-soudning attractions are enough to make a droid blow a gasket in anticipation. Star Wars and theme park fans may also melt down before the Force awakens on the as-yet-unannounced opening date in some year far, far away. Have no fear droids and fans. Disney’s got you covered.
To capitalize on the synergy from the new film’s Christmas 2015 release (and steal some thunder from Universal’s upcoming Potter and King Kong attractions to boot), Star Wars mania began in earnest in 2015. In fact, park guests may be belting out a hearty rendition of “Nothing but Star Wars” with all that’s now open and on the way. Here’s a rundown of what to expect in the months and years leading up to the completion of the new lands:
Star Wars Launch Bay – Visitors can now meet characters, buy some special merch (of course), chow down on some themed treats, and ogle artifacts related to the new film at a popup exhibit. At Disneyland, the Launch Bay joins forces with the Marvel-themed Super Hero HQ in Tomorrowland. The Animation Courtyard serves as the location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue – The original Star Wars-themed attraction got a reboot in late 2015 with new stories culled from the movie trilogy. Speaking of Star Tours, what will become of the simulator attractions? Since Disneyland’s new Star Wars project will be built away from Tomorrowland, the imperative to maintain continuity dictates that Star Tours should close. Perhaps Disney will move it to the new land and repurpose the existing attraction (maybe turn it into the Iron Man Experience, which is on tap at Shanghai Disneyland?). At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the new land will likely be built adjacent to Star Tours and will be able to encompass the ride.
Jedi Training Academy – At both parks, the popular experience has introduced new characters based on the animated TV show, “Star Wars Rebels.”
Season of the Force – Based on Disney World’s successful Star Wars Weekends, both parks are hosting new limited-time seasonal events.
Hyperspace Mountain – As part of Season of the Force, Disneyland now features a Star Wars-themed overlay to Space Mountain.
Star Wars Fireworks – Starting in spring 2016, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will cap its evenings with a themed pyrotechnics show.

Check Out the Rockwork

Based on the renderings, the 14-acre lands will include vast amounts of rockwork and other architectural flourishes. That’s the Millennium Falcon in the foreground. The iconic starship will be featured in one of the lands’ two major attractions.
Disney has not revealed any costs. But the ambitious, elaborate-looking and -sounding Star Wars project will surely cost in the hundreds of millions dollars — and possibly in the billion-dollar range. That’s for each land. That’s a lot of Galactic Credits.
Next up: Bustling Frontier Town

Don’t look now, but isn’t that C3PO and R2D2 chatting with a certain princess? When they open, the lands will include alien creatures, humanoids, and other assorted Star Wars characters. Expect pervasive themeing throughout the new areas.

•••
Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the new Star War lands at the 2015 D23 Expo. He and his team also made a bunch of other park announcements at the event, including:
New Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – A Slinky Dog coaster, alien saucers ride, and an expanded Toy Story Mania! are coming.
Pandora – The World of Avatar – More info was released about the new land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Soarin’ Around the World – Instead of sticking with California, the fabulous Soarin’ ride will take off to locations far and wide starting in 2016.

Hold onto your helmets, folks! You're in for the ride of your life with all these new reasons to visit Walt Disney World in the near future. A host of exciting new worlds and wonders are in the pipeline which will even get Grumpy tap-dancing with happiness.
If you haven't visited recently, check out What's New at Disney in 2019 | What's New in 2018 | New Restaurants at Disney Springs
10 New Reasons to Visit Walt Disney World in 2018:
#1: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Hollywood Studios
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will take explorers to a remote frontier trading post way out on the edge of space. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in this new world like never before. If Pandora: World of Avatar is anything to go by, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is going to be out of this world. Literally.
Take your life in your hands as you throw yourself into the fierce action of a galactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Not dangerous enough? Okay, fly the Millennium Falcon as a wannabe Top Gun on a critical mission where your efforts can either gain or lose you cosmic credits. Characters, including Chewbacca, will be in attendance to 'chew' you up or pat you on the 'bacca' depending on your efforts. This is definitely one to add to the growing list of new reasons to visit Walt Disney World. Open: Late Fall 2019 Details: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

#2: Toy Story Land
Find yourself shrunk to toy size as you explore Andy's backyard with Woody, Buzz and other Pixar characters from the Toy Story movies.
New attractions include Slinky Dog Dash, a family friendly coaster. Also, Alien Swirling Saucers, a gently spinning ride. Opened: June 30th 2018 Details: Toy Story Land
Epcot gives us two new reasons to visit Walt Disney World, along with a host of other announcements for 2021. This may seem a long way off to start announcing rides, restaurants and attractions, but when you take into account it will be Disney's 50th anniversary, it all falls into place.
#3: Guardians of the Galaxy
Future World is the lucky recipient of this shiny new attraction. The movie trilogy (3rd movie in planning stage) 'Guardians of the Galaxy' is the result of the combined efforts of Marvel Comics and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This new attraction brings the glamor, action and excitement to replace the Universe of Energy attraction which closed on August 13, 2017. Open: 2021
#4: Ratatouille
The France Pavilion is being extended to feature a new attraction based on the 'Ratatouille' movie. Guests are shrunk to the size of Remy and find themselves being chased through a kitchen as they desperately seek refuge. To give the attraction authenticity, kitchen accessories and smells will be all around the escapees. Open: 2021 Details: New Epcot Rides
#5: Out-of-this-world Dining & New Mission Space Experience
Diners will be transported into space for a new dining experience with amazing views perched over planet Earth. Famous Disney characters won't be the only stars around your table.
The new restaurant will coincide with the launch of a new Green Mission at Mission: SPACE that will take guests on a soaring journey over Earth. The Patina Restaurant Group which operates Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs, Tutto Italia and Via Napoli at Epcot, will create the new restaurant next to Mission:Space. Details: New Epcot Restaurant

#6: TRON Lightcycle Power Run
Magic Kingdom will be home to this shiny new attraction. Based on the movie, Tron, this exciting Light Cycle Rollercoaster ride has been hugely popular in Disneyland, Shanghai. Thrills, speed and lights combine to make Tron an awesome high-tech adventure. Tron will be located by Space Mountain. Open: 2021 Details: Tron - Magic Kingdom
#7: Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway
Considering it 'All Started with A Mouse', Mickey has never had his own attraction. Until now that is. Although many will be sad to see the closure of the Great Movie Ride, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is promising a new world of cartoon as a replacement. It will also have more hidden Mickeys than any other attraction anywhere in the universe. Heads will be spinning counting them all!
So how would you like to star in a movie? A movie with Mickey and Minnie as your co-stars. Well, this dream is about to become a reality. How? Simple. Step through the movie screen and become part of the filming. Anything can happen, which just makes it all the more exciting. There's no set launch date for the new ride, but the last day of The Great Movie Ride was on August 13, 2017. Details: Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
#8: New Theater at Magic Kingdom
April 2018 Update: It looks like this project is cancelled or on hold. The details have been removed from the "coming soon" details on Disney's website. We'll update if we hear more.
The Magic Kingdom is getting a brand new theater to house world-class entertainment. Fitting right in with Main Street theming, the theater is inspired by the 1920’s Willis Wood Theater of Kansas, MO, where Walt lived after he left Marceline. The venue is expected to house world-class entertainment. Some live new reasons to visit Walt Disney World!
#9: Disney Skyliner and Minnie (Van) Transport
Disney are introducing two new methods of transport.
Skyliner
Connecting several of Disney's resorts to Hollywood Studios and International Gateway at Epcot will be the Disney Skyliner. The new gondola system will have pods decked with Disney characters giving guests a birds-eye view of the resorts and parks below.
Minnie (Van) Transport
Another means of transport, already available through the parks and resorts, is the Minnie Vans. Painted red with white dots, these distinctive cute vans give guests a point-to-point service throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Details: Skyliner & Minnie Van
#10: Star Wars Resort
A new vacation resort based on the Star Wars theme is also planned for the future. Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is so enthusiastic, "It's unlike anything that exists today. From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story." Being Disney, it just has to be awesome. Even though we have our own vacation homes, I might just have to check it out for myself one night! Details: Star Wars Resort
So, have we given you enough new reasons to visit Walt Disney World? If not, stay tuned, there's bound to be a lot more to come!

Cover Reveal – Star Wars Outlaws
Tumblr media
This month, Star Wars Outlaws graces the cover of Game Informer. Regardless of your history with the series, there’s no denying the impact that Star Wars has had in the pop culture landscape. The Original Trilogy inspired countless other pieces of media and the subsequent releases have all been noteworthy for one reason or another. But it was the Original Trilogy that developer Massive Entertainment – the team behind games like The Division, The Division 2, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – chose to make its playground. We traveled to the coastal city of Malmö, Sweden, to learn all about the open-world scoundrel adventure set in a galaxy far, far away.
Our cover art this month, provided by Massive Entertainment, shows the protagonists of the story, Kay Vess and her companion Nix, in a cantina, presumably accepting a job. Cantinas serve as the gathering place for the types of seedy individuals Kay and Nix seek out for work. On the back cover, we get a glimpse of one of the criminal factions Kay can accept jobs for: the Pyke Syndicate. You can learn more about Kay, Nix, the syndicates they interact with, the Reputation System, and plenty more in our 12-page cover story of Star Wars Outlaws!

But that’s not all that’s housed within this latest issue of Game Informer! Marcus Stewart visited Bandai Namco in Irvine, California, to get his hands on Sand Land, the anticipated action title from ILCA. Speaking of the great Akira Toriyama, Kyle Hilliard takes some time in the issue to pay tribute to the legendary manga and anime icon. On the topic of hot-button issues, Wesley LeBlanc spoke with several game developers who are using artificial intelligence in different ways to learn their reasoning and try to grasp the ethics of doing so. Zachary Avery interviewed the team behind indie publishing label Finji (as well as several developers that have published under Finji) and wrote an in-depth profile, while Marcus Stewart spoke with the developers behind the hit Poker-inspired roguelite Balatro about its runaway success. Finally, I traveled to Los Angeles, California, to catch up with the director and producer of Street Fighter 6 and attend Capcom Cup X to see the first-ever $1 million grand prize get handed out.
That’s on top of our standard preview suite. In this issue, you’ll read previews for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Dune: Awakening, Kingmakers, MechWarrior 5: Clans, TopSpin 2K25, and more!
Here’s a closer look at the cover:
