❝ Is this some kind of sick joke? ❞ — Dean Winchester, upon realizing they’ve been sucked into a TV show multiverse.

Synopsis:

Dean and Sam Winchester, along with Y/N, are pulled into a chaotic, TV-themed purgatory ruled by none other than the Trickster—who later reveals himself as Gabriel. From a broody CSI drama to a soap opera surgery gone wrong, a humiliating herpes commercial, and even a Japanese game show from hell, the trio must play their roles or risk being trapped forever. Through it all, Y/N becomes the voice of reason and emotional anchor between the boys, reminding them that they’re stronger together—and sometimes, laughter really is the best weapon.

SCENE ONE: CSI SUPERNATURAL

Harsh sirens wailed. Dean blinked against the fluorescent strobe of blue-and-red lights. The overwhelming smell of latex gloves and freshly spilled coffee clung to the air like an overdone Hollywood set.

He turned slowly, eyes narrowing on a perfect chalk outline, white tape forming crisp borders on an otherwise pristine alley. “Are you kidding me?”

Y/N, already wearing a trench coat, raised her brows. “CSI: Supernatural?”

Sam adjusted his aviators, inspecting a fake badge tucked in his coat pocket. “It’s staged. Too clean. No blood, no trauma... The Trickster’s behind this.”

Before anyone could question their next move, a mustached detective hustled toward them, script-ready. “Detectives! We’ve got a fresh one—body’s cold, but the trail’s hot!”

Dean sighed. “If I say ‘enhance’ into a computer screen, shoot me.”

Y/N smirked. “Only if you call the killer’s ex-girlfriend a ‘person of interest.’”

Reluctantly, the trio played along, going through the motions. Sam scanned evidence with a comically oversized magnifying glass. Dean used a toothpick to “analyze” blood splatter that didn��t exist. Y/N was forced into a corny back-and-forth with a tech who used way too many puns.

Still, something clicked in her head. “He wants us to solve the puzzle—but it’s fake. The point isn’t the murder.”

Dean crossed his arms. “Then what is it?”

She looked between the boys. “Playing along.”

SCENE TWO: WINCHESTER’S ANATOMY CHAOS

They didn’t move—reality shifted around them.

Fluorescent lights above. Gurneys rushed past. Alarms blared.

Dean was in light blue scrubs, holding a scalpel. Sam wore a lab coat and held a clipboard. Y/N was strapped to a hospital bed, looking pale and panicked, IV in her arm.

“Oh hell no,” Dean muttered, spinning in place. “I am not playing surgeon.”

Y/N groaned faintly. “Guys…” Her voice cracked. “Something’s wrong.”

Dean’s chest tightened. Trickster prank or not, she looked genuinely ill. Her skin was clammy, sweat dampening her hairline.

Sam rushed forward. “She’s coding, Dean.”

Dean froze. “What? I’m not a real doctor—what if this is real?”

“You have to play the role,” Sam snapped. “Or she dies here.”

The overhead speaker blared, “Paging Dr. Sexy. Dr. Sexy to OR 2.”

Dean clenched his jaw, whispering to Y/N as he gripped her hand. “You’re gonna be okay. I got you. Just hang on.”

He fumbled with defibrillator paddles. “CLEAR!”

A fake shock jolted her body. She gasped, color returning to her face.

“Holy crap,” Dean breathed.

Y/N blinked, voice raspy. “I thought I was done for.”

He leaned close, brushing hair from her face. “Don’t scare me like that again.”

She smiled faintly. “You looked good in scrubs, though.”

Dean rolled his eyes, but his grin betrayed him.

SCENE THREE: THE HERPES COMMERCIAL FROM HELL

The world shifted again.

Sunny skies. Golden fields. Soft acoustic guitar strumming in the background. Dean and Y/N stood side by side, hands linked.

Text on screen: “HERPES? LET’S TALK ABOUT IT.”

Dean let out a strangled sound. “No. Nope. Not doing this.”

Y/N blinked, horrified. “Oh my god, are we in a pharmaceutical commercial?”

“Yup,” Sam said, strolling past with a bright pink sweater tied around his neck. “We’re selling herpes meds now.”

Dean threw up his hands. “This Trickster’s going down.”

The commercial rolled on, forcing the pair to walk hand-in-hand through fields, ride tandem bicycles, and gaze longingly into each other’s eyes while a narrator droned on about “intimacy and managing flare-ups.”

Y/N was red-faced by the end. “This is the worst day of my life.”

Dean just muttered, “Kill me now.”

Suddenly, Sam stepped forward, looking like he was about to speak, but the narrator’s cue cut him off. “And now, we hear from our third hero. Sam Winchester, please, tell the audience…”

The camera zoomed in on Sam, as he hesitated. He looked at Dean with a nervous, embarrassed glance. “I… uh…” His voice faltered.

Dean’s face contorted with a barely restrained smirk. “Come on, Sammy. You were the one who said we had to play our roles.”

Sam gritted his teeth. “Right… right.”

The camera zoomed in further. Sam cleared his throat, lowered his voice, and spoke, “I have genital herpes.”

Y/N’s jaw dropped as the scene shifted abruptly. “Oh my god, I can't believe he just said that.”

Dean rolled his eyes. “See? Now we’re all stuck in this mess together.”

SCENE FOUR: JAPANESE GAME SHOW FROM HELL

BAM!

A klaxon blared. Confetti rained down. Dean was suddenly in a glittering suit jacket, a name tag reading “WINCHESTER-SAN.”

The announcer yelled incomprehensibly, and Sam was immediately smacked in the face with a giant foam mallet.

“WELCOME TO NUTCRACKER!” the screen flashed in bright lights.

Y/N ducked as slime exploded from the ceiling. “Dean!”

He was already holding a trivia buzzer, eyes wide. “I don’t even speak Japanese!”

Sam stumbled, wearing goggles and holding a rubber fish. “I think we just have to survive the round!”

“You think?” Dean shouted.

They were pelted with marshmallows, launched into a ball pit, and forced to answer absurd questions—like what’s the square root of a sandwich.

Dean buzzed in. “Mayo?”

DING DING DING! Confetti everywhere.

Y/N was doubled over laughing. “This is actually kind of fun.”

Dean grinned at her, breathless. “You’re insane.”

“You love that about me,” she teased.

Just then, the Japanese presenter leaned toward Sam, speaking rapidly in Japanese. Sam frowned, not understanding a word. “I don’t understand, I don’t speak Japanese!”

The presenter, frowning, pressed a buzzer, and a loud, triumphant klaxon sounded. Sam yelped as a giant foam Nutcracker swung at him and made contact with his groin.

Dean burst into laughter. “Guess that’s a wrong answer.”

SCENE FIVE: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SCENES

Once they completed the game show round, the illusion shattered like glass. The set dissolved into an empty, colorless void.

Standing at the center was Gabriel—the Trickster. He slow-clapped.

“Well done, kids. You played your roles beautifully.”

Dean stepped forward, seething. “What the hell was the point of all this?”

Gabriel shrugged. “Life’s a stage. And you either follow the script—or get written out.”

Sam’s jaw clenched. “You made her almost die.”

Y/N raised her chin. “You wanted to scare us into obedience.”

Gabriel smirked. “I wanted to prove a point: you three can survive anything—as long as you stick to your parts.”

The void faded. They were back in the motel room. Real world.

Dean turned to Y/N, face still pale. “You okay?”

She gave a small nod. “Yeah. Thanks for saving me, Dr. Sexy.”

Dean flushed. “Don’t call me that.”

Y/N smirked. “Too late.”

hey op where did you get that photo of a blonde freddie in aviators and black and white for your chess valentine’s day cards. i cannot for the life of me figure out what production it’s from. thank you so much have a lovely day.

So I'm going to go into far more detail than you asked for, because this relates to one of my favorite Freddie actors of all time!!!

The photo originates from the San Jose Civic Light Opera/American Musical Theatre of San Jose production in 1992. I pulled it the facebook page SJCLO AMTSJ Alumni. The theater group is sadly no longer around, having declared bankruptcy in the early 2000s, but it's still well-loved due to having passionate former members, particularly one who uploads the theater's proshots on youtube. Including a proshot of this Chess! The shows are generally very good--a shining light in regional theater! You know you'll get a competent show with them.

The Freddie pictured is Kim Strauss, and he is my very favorite Freddie of all time.

Now, there is a proshot of him in the aforementioned production!

I would not recommend watching him first in the aforementioned production, as it is Kinda Bad. The set design is really wonderful, one of the best in Chesses, and Strauss is very good, but the script makes more baffling choices than usual, and the rest of the cast isn't that great. However! What you should watch him in! Is LONG BEACH CHESS!

This! Is one of the best Chesses of all time! It's one of the most coherent, well-directed, and well-cast versions. If you're not familiar with the Broadway version of Chess, this is an excellent place to start with that plot! And this bootleg is subtitled! Even better! The Florence in this production is Jodi Benson (of The Little Mermaid and Broadway fame) and she is maybe my favorite Florence ever. She's so passionate and intense in the role. She's just my platonic ideal of the character! So hurting, so fierce, so alive and human--I can't describe her Florence any better than the casting description for Broadway Chess does--"She is clever, theatrical, touching, vivacious, volatile." That's her Florence!

To gush a little more about Kim Strauss -- he really is my favorite Freddie. And he did the role at least four times in different productions throughout the 90s, so clearly 90s Chess productions agree with me. XD His Freddie is such a deeply awful person and yet horribly pathetic and sad at the same time. His Freddie is deeply possessive of Florence, controlling both physically and mentally, and yet utterly driven to convince himself he does not need her. Yet he reaches for her hand before the first chess game in a quiet asking for reassurance. Yet he kisses her before Pity the Child in a desperate bet of maybe this will work. Yet he stares at her throughout all of Endgame, winning almost in an act of spite against her, yet it is still abundantly clear that it's all hollow because he does not have her. And he has this really interesting, needy tenor that works so well for the character, as well as the MOST Chicago accent that I cannot imagine Freddie without now. And he's got such a great physicality to him. His Freddie is always antsy, always fidgeting, almost always hunched over or running his hands over his face or something. He's never still. I just love his take on Freddie so so so much. He's a really fucking bad man, like he does not let you get away from the fact that Freddie is a terrible person, and yet he's still interesting to watch!

Also his Pity the Child is my favorite performance of the song ever, and I have linked the bootleg below at that point, because if nothing else, you need to see that!

Funny BOTC ‘Last Words’ in our games

Context: We are theatrical people. What we do is we go to our own rooms at night. We ALSO have these grey bands on our heads so everyone knows who is a ghost, so when a character canonically 'dies', the storyteller slips the band under our doors and we have to come out in the morning with them so everyone can see we're 'dead', and when we vote a player for execution, we have a ‘crowning’ ceremony in the center of the circle so the storyteller can put the band on and have them play dead.

Let’s just say, that last part leads to some pretty funny ‘last words’. (I’ll tell you which ones are mine and leave the rest blank)

ummmm I guess I'll do 4 things I'm super passionate about

One Direction goes to the top of the list. I grew up with them and they were the first thing to make me really fangirl over something ��� the first thing I knew I was passionate about. I dedicated my time to listening to their music and waiting for the day I could see them live/meet them. Of course, their break killed me. I literally cried in class when I found out lol. I just saw Niall for the first time this year (June) and I was waiting for the day I could see all of them… & of course, I'm still very broken up about Liam’s death, but my love for One Direction will never die and neither will my thoughts of how much it meant for him to get the band back together. I will continue to grow and recognize them as a big part of my life.

Top Gun. I literally spent so much time obsessing over that movie for a year and a half to the point that I own a monopoly game, I have Maverick’s, Ice’s, & Goose’s dog tags, I have Maverick’s flightsuit and both the green bomber jacket and the black leather bomber jacket. I even bought aviators. And really, I was more obsessed with the first movie, but I do own a signed script of the second movie. But really it cracks down to the ship, Icemav. They are very dear to me.

Charles Leclerc. I want so much for him because I think he deserves nothing but the best. I believe he is where he is from hard work, his love for racing, and the promises he's made to the people very dear to him that he's lost. He is a generational talent and he will win the WDC sooner or later. I fully believe he has the potential and I believe he will be talked about for years to come because of the impact he's made on his fans and in Ferrari.

Lastly, I'd say I'm very passionate about writing. I go through times where I feel sick to even start writing because of writer's block and the fear I'll get burnt out, but deep down, it brings me so much joy just to put my thoughts down for people to see. I've always prided myself for being very imaginative and I can say that comes in handy when I write fanfic lmao. I want to make a career out of it and one of these days I think I'll give myself enough motivation to do so.

The good old Doc - Part 13

Summary: Lieutenant Lilith Adams enlisted back in the military, only to be met with a certain cocky pilot. Overcoming certain past traumas, she tries to fit in with the team of pilots as their personal medic. Soon finding her stuck between a certain good looking aviator and her work morals.

This is a series which is currently in the making, so I don’t exactly know how long it is going to be. 😊

I was struggling to get out of my wet dress, fighting the wet fabric sticking to my body. When I was finally able to get it over my head I wrung out as much water as I could, throwing it over the sunshade. Whistling behind me had me turn around. Rooster was eying me up and down, but the whistling stopped as soon as he saw my upper body being littered with hickeys. “Holy…” I wasn’t really sure what to say, so I stayed silent, looking down on the ground. Luckily Phoenix had my back: “Stop it Bradshaw. That’s none of your business.”

Bradley raised his hands slowly stepping back. “Didn’t mean to pry. But I am in for some details.” He grinned wiggling his eyebrows. Nat just shook her head. “Nah uh. That’s for girls talk only. And as far as I am aware you’re not a girl.” Her comment made me smile and I settled down on my towel between her and Bob. We watched in silence how Rooster backed off, towards the makeshift volleyball field. Him and Jake teamed up against Payback and Coyote.

“Soooo…” Phoenix turned towards me, smiling a knowing grin. “Is there something you wanna tell me?” Before I could even speak, Bob leaned in from the side: “You know I can just go and leave you to your girls talk.”

“Stay, Bobby. You are literally married and therefore an approved ally of the girls club.” Nat said, pulling him down on his towel. I laid back, staring up at the parasol. “It was good.” Was all I muttered, and from the huff coming from Phoenix I could hear she was not pleased with my answer. “Good. That’s as detailed as one can be. I wanna know everything. Like start to finish.”

I groaned at her words. “I really don’t know if that’s a good idea. I mean you guys work together and I don’t wanna spike any rumors or teasing or whatever.”
