2024 JANUARY 14 Sunday
"Whoever is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. Avoid immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the immoral person sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body."

"it's common to be uncomfortable with a daddy kink-" you are missing the fucking point, blacklist the tags (even for that specific ship) if you have to, skip that scene if you're streaming it, whatever, but for fucks sake do not imply that a gay man is predatory or perverse for making a fucking joke - with his boyfriend who initiated it - that's the homophobic bit

fiction affecting reality is absolutely a thing that happens but i think if u truly deeply believe that consuming media content that contains cheating is an immoral act and is something that should not exist in fiction at all ever you should probably go outside and not even just touch grass you need to roll around in the grass and make love to the grass and bury yourself in the dirt and sleep outside on the ground under the stars and marvel at the smallness of humanity. and then go inside and turn off your computer for a week.

Honestly the idea of slugcats existing in a sort of space where they are capable of 'moral' thought but not having a full structural concept of it in like, slugcat culture is kinda an interesting thought. Like they have sympathy as a personality value that governs a willingness to do harm, particular in terms of slugpups being unwilling to eat live food like centipedes if it has high enough values, if i recall right.
Which does seem to at least a basis for slugcats having an internal capacity (or lack of) for violence, and at least some understanding of what the 'weight' of choosing to harm something is- enough to potentially have a discomfort with it just by their personal nature. The idea of experiencing guilt for a natural, accepted and expected behavior without otherwise having a full understanding of what guilt is even is interesting.

dont rly love the swell of ppl pushing back against hating trends bein like 'well you don't have to consume it' like... that's not rly the point is it.. youre allowed to be upset by something that is taking the world by storm even if you personally don't encounter it in your algorithm or interact with the app it's relevant on... tumblr is literally my only social media, i never even see these annoying trends ppl are talking about until i see it being complained about on here and i still hate those trends when i hear about them bc... theyre stupid and vain and represent everything wrong with the modern climate of the internet and social spaces. and even if it doesnt affect me i can be annoyed that it is affecting so many others and that social media at large is teaching ppl to groupthink more and care more about literally weekly fleeting trends bc their algorithm told them to.

Some people have aggressively stupid takes on censorship, fictional content, kink…. But then also in irl sex and relationships, too, and it’s exhausting. If you are a grown adult wringing your hands about how you could never date anyone two years younger than you or getting your panties in a twist over regular safe consenting sex practices/acting like safe and consensual k.ink is inherently abusive…. Then your brain has been so thoroughly rotted by online puritan discourse and you need to get off of twitter and experience the real world. Genuinely. Hope this helps.
#and there is a difference between having an understanding of these things and avoiding certain k.inks because of personal preference/trauma#but acting as if people who participate in and enjoy these things safely and privately are ‘freaks’ or ‘disgusting’ or immoral#is not the same thing#also please recognize the rhetoric you are parroting for fucks sake#because calling people ‘freaks’ and ‘degenerates’ and wanting to police anything sexual… not the take you think it is#this sort of thing actually enables and leads to things like a lot of sodomy laws in the us that existed pre obergefell v hodges#which classified any sex deviant from your standard piv penetrative sex as unlawful and immoral#setting a very dangerous precedent about what people can and cannot do in their own home#there are so many reasons that it pisses me off seeing these things but with the state of things in so many places right now#it baffles me when chronically online bitches swallow puritan rhetoric without a second thought and don’t see the writing on the wall#in an era of book bans and drag bans and the demonization of the lgbtq community at large#and with a Supreme Court that has shown time and again that they put their personal biases ahead of the safety and rights of constituents#I do not know how people do not recognize#this sort of reactionary shit will ALWAYS hurt marginalized people first. respectability politics will not save you when they turn on you#okay send tweet I’m just annoyed#laur speaks!#I better not get some dumbass shit on this post I am tired I am chronically and mentally ill and having a hell of a semester.#not looking for discourse. I do not have time. get blocked argue with the wall read a fucking book and learn some shit while you’re at it.

hey i’m so sorry to bother you but is the american yakuza post against or in support of proshippers? i just wanted to clarify cause i have an extremely hard time picking up tones and sarcasm esp over text
my understanding of it is it's coming with the approach of 'proship and anti are stupid terms created by western fandom (esp usamerican fandom) used in bullshit morality fights' and that morality should not be attached to the fictional things you consume

Exasperatedly arguing with an anti weirdo on an AITA post (I am bored and worried and it was a Distraction) and they seem to have accidentally replied with another blog, panicked and tried to delete the reply, then sent the same message with the blog I've been talking to. Do they not realize it still appears in my notifications even if they deleted it?
*eye roll*
Anyway, done with this. Both blogs blocked. I was willing to poke them back with logic to their ridiculous bullshit until the got rude.
Hope they someday leave the cult they've built in their own minds.

Look, you're allowed to enjoy Eichi as a character. You're allowed to sympathize with him, or say he thought he was doing the right thing. That's okay and anyone who tells you otherwise is full of shit!
What's not okay is insinuating (or outright stating) that looking at Eichi's actions during the war and being like "well I sure didn't like that, so I don't think I particularly like this character" is childish. Your Eichi posts are starting to read more like "I'm not like ~other~ girls cos I like Villains(tm) xD lol so quirky"
Besides, who cares about intentions? What matters in the end is what you do, not why you did it.
And that's all valid! When looking at real people. I literally opened with the definition of a bad character being the opposite of an interesting character. I'm not saying disliking the character is bad. Not once did I say disliking his actions makes you childish (did you, perchance, notice I am literally a ValkyrieP?). I meant that saying he's bad as a character (not a person. These characters are not people, they are tools for the narrative and judging them as characters means judging them by how well they carry the narrative) because of his actions is childish because without Eichi and the War, there is no Enstars. I said you can't approach non-fables as fables and decide that a character who does bad things is a one-dimensional villain bc that's how media aimed at children works, and not most other media. A villain can do good things and a hero can do bad things. I called him a machiavelist character aka an "ends justify the means" character. Do you think that's positive? Did you think i was defending his actions? Or was my post the first time you've met with that term? He's a good character because his motivations not only make sense, but paired with the results of his shitty actions - are tragic. He's not a good character because his "intentions are good" nor did I say that. When analysing a character, you don't look at only one aspect of them in a vacuum.
Don't be condescending in my askbox if you can't even understand what I very clearly defined in the posts.

I generally assume people are being honest until they've proven themselves liars and I frequently feel like buster. Would somebody just do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?

How lovely to see Speaker Mike Johnson spout the incomprehensibly braindead take that “Rome fell because of the homosexuality”, and then being exposed to further hordes of shockingly ignorant defenses by people on Twitter who know jack shit what they’re talking about

How to Craft a Compelling Morally Grey Character: A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Define the Character’s Core Traits
Identify Strengths and Virtues: List positive traits that make the character likable or admirable. These could include bravery, intelligence, loyalty, or compassion.
Identify Flaws and Vices: List negative traits that add complexity and realism. These could include arrogance, selfishness, impatience, or a propensity for violence.
Step 2: Establish Motivations and Backstory
Create a Detailed Backstory: Develop a background that explains why the character has their particular mix of virtues and flaws. Consider their upbringing, significant life events, and personal experiences.
Determine Core Motivations: Identify what drives the character. Is it revenge, love, ambition, survival, or something else? Motivations should be realistic and relatable.
Step 3: Develop Moral Ambiguity
Set Up Moral Dilemmas: Place your character in situations where they must make difficult choices with no clear right or wrong answer. These dilemmas should challenge their morals and reveal their complexity.
Showcase Contradictions: Allow the character to make decisions that might seem contradictory. For example, they might commit a crime to protect someone they love, revealing both a moral and an immoral side.
Step 4: Create Dynamic Relationships
Construct Meaningful Relationships: Develop relationships with other characters that highlight different aspects of your morally grey character. These relationships can help explore their multifaceted personality.
Use Relationships to Drive Conflict: Relationships can be a source of moral conflict and development. Conflicts with friends, family, or rivals can push your character to reveal their grey areas.
Step 5: Show Consequences and Growth
Illustrate the Impact of Actions: Show the real-world consequences of the character’s morally ambiguous decisions. This adds realism and stakes to the story.
Allow for Character Growth: Let your character evolve. They might become more virtuous or more corrupt over time. This evolution keeps the character dynamic and interesting.
Step 6: Balance Sympathetic and Unsympathetic Traits
Make Them Relatable: Ensure the character has traits or experiences that the audience can relate to or sympathize with, even if they do questionable things.
Maintain Complexity: Avoid making the character too sympathetic or too unsympathetic. The balance between good and bad traits should make the audience feel conflicted about the character.
Step 7: Use Subtlety and Nuance
Avoid Clear Labels: Do not overtly label the character as good or evil. Allow their actions and motivations to speak for themselves.
Employ Subtlety: Use nuanced behavior and dialogue to reveal the character’s moral complexity. Avoid heavy-handed exposition.
Step 8: Test and Refine
Seek Feedback: Share your character with others and seek feedback on their complexity and believability. Adjust based on constructive criticism.
Refine Motivations and Actions: Continuously refine the character’s motivations and actions to ensure they remain compelling and consistent throughout the story.
Example: Crafting a Morally Grey Character
Core Traits:
Strengths: Intelligent, determined, loyal.
Flaws: Arrogant, manipulative, vengeful.
Backstory:
Grew up in a tough neighborhood, witnessing crime and corruption.
Lost a loved one to a gang, fueling a desire for revenge.
Motivations:
Driven by a need to protect their remaining family and seek revenge.
Moral Dilemmas:
Joins a criminal organization to infiltrate it and bring it down from within.
Struggles with the ethical implications of committing crimes for a greater good.
Relationships:
Has a strained relationship with a sibling who disapproves of their methods.
Forms a complicated friendship with a morally upright police officer.
Consequences and Growth:
Faces the legal and emotional consequences of their actions.
Gradually questions their own morality and seeks redemption.
Balance:
Helps the community but uses unethical means.
Shows moments of kindness and ruthlessness.
Subtlety:
Reveals their inner conflict through small actions and dialogue.
Avoids overt explanations of their morality, letting the audience interpret.
By following these steps, you can create a compelling morally grey character that adds depth and intrigue to your story.

Lately, I can't help but think that Mingi and San are the epitome of the Doberman type of boyfriends.
And here are the unholy thoughts of the day: Your dorm closes for the summer, and you are literally left in the middle of the street with endless stacks of romance novels and fluffy blankets. Luckily, Yunho and Yeosang's friends have kindly agreed to take you in until the academic term starts. What neither Yunho nor Yeosang have warned you about is that your new roommates will be two luxurious Dobermans guys. They look like they've stepped straight out of the pages of those twisted romance novels you've been so obsessed with.
Utterly shameless, vulgar, and sexy as hell, they are horrible perverts who love to make you blush and squirm with their words and actions. They frighten you, but what frightens you even more are the fantasies you have about them. But who can blame you when you're literally surrounded by walking porn 24/7 and they have a soft spot for pretty girls with cute pigtails that they can wrap around their wrists while they fuck them into oblivion?
You trusted Yunho and Yeosang; you were friends since childhood, and of course both boys wanted the best for you, so how the hell did you end up in the same apartment with San and Mingi, literally squeezed between their big, hot bodies with no escape plan?
You didn't expect your university to sneakily out all the students out into the street this year and close the halls for the summer. But thanks to your friends, you managed to avoid sleeping under the bridge, although now you think that living under the bridge would not be as bad as living with Mingi and San.
When Yunho told you that one of his model friends was willing to let you stay in his apartment for the summer, you were incredibly happy, and how lucky that one of Yeosang's best friends was also staying there. But for some reason, neither of them bothered to warn you that San and Mingi were the typical dark Doberman boys from twisted romance novels, with cheeky, shameless behaviour and domineering manners.
Not that they were that bad; no, both boys were pretty nice, if you don't count the times they deliberately embarrassed you or made you squirm from their not-so-innocent touches.
The very first night you met them, you learnt a few things: one, neither of them were wearing underwear, which you felt very clearly when Mingi pressed his hips against your ass while helping you put your things on the top shelf of the cupboard; two, they had absolutely no idea what decency and modesty meant, asking you if you were a virgin and what your favourite sex position was; and three, San was tactile, very tactile. So tactile that within ten minutes of meeting you, he was all over you, playing with your hair, running his fingers up your thigh much higher than was appropriate, and he even spanked your ass, which shocked you.
But with each passing day, they seemed to get bolder and more relaxed in your presence as the level of depravity only increased. Shared breakfasts were pure torture, as neither of them bothered to get dressed after a shower, and they walked around the house with only tiny towels hanging so dangerously low on their hips that you could practically see their dicks.
The vulgar comments and actions made you uneasy, and the sounds—God, they were immoral enough to watch porn at full volume in the middle of the common room. You also caught them masturbating a few times, and San even had the nerve to invite you to join in, while Mingi invited you to sit and enjoy the show.
This would have continued if the boys hadn't persuaded you to join them for a drink one night. A relatively innocent night ended with San and Mingi folding you in half, ripping off your panties in a rough manner, and exposing your plump, wet pussy to their hungry gazes. And to be honest, you didn't put up much of a fight. The sexual tension between you had reached a breaking point, and it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Oh, and you learnt a few more things about them that night: One, cock piercings are a great way to get extra stimulation of your cunt; two, Minig does eat pussy like a champ, and he has quite a long tongue; three, Sun really knows how to fuck you until you squirt; and four, they were absolutely right when they said spit roasting is a great way to unwind.
