maybe you think i left, and that’s okay.

i did.

but only after you left first.

i know, i know, it’s childish.

but what was i supposed to do?

i sat by my phone and waited

to twirl my hair in my fingers over

conversations about life and love

and everything that happens in between.

the phone didn’t ring, so i didn’t pick it up.

and isn’t that the saddest part?

i wrote a poem once that said something like

i threw the broken pieces on the ground

to see if you cared enough to pick them up.

but you didn’t.

i cleaned them up myself. my fingers bled.

i keep feeling like i should get over this,

move on with my life and cherish what i do have.

it’s just hard when you’ve held something so strongly

for so long

only to have to actively let it go.

as we all know, it’s not something i’m particularly good at.

probably because i grip people so tightly

sometimes it’s like suffocating.

at this point, though, i don’t know which one of us

is being asphyxiated.

anyway. i wish you the best, i guess.

don’t judge me too harshly for hoping

your life is a little less bright without me in it.

i love your coloring style sm! Do you know of any coloring tutorials here that helped you, or where beginners can use to learn? 👉👈 Also are there any manga coloring blogs you can recommend? :)

i remember this tutorial helped me a lot when i first attempted to color manga, and to this day i still think it's a great tutorial for beginners! it is old but still useful to learn the very basics

and then you can check out this tutorial that my talented friend aki made a few weeks ago which i find super useful!! this one you can use to enhance your colorings after learning the basics and add your own artistic touch to them! of course everyone has different styles/tastes but i think you can grasp the idea of how to make your colorings look more interesting and fun!

it's very fun to play with colors and use different lightings etc. so don't be afraid to try new things on your colorings! they don't have to turn out amazing, you can just practice and eventually you'll find a style you're comfortable with!! when i first started making colorings i didn't like the results and couldn't find my own style until a few years ago. even now it constantly changes, and that's the fun of coloring ☺

ok here's my moment to absolutely GUSH about your recent wandavision color palette set. this coloring is so SO gorgeous and soft and makes me think of popsicles in the summer?? is that weird?? my favorite gif has to be the monica gif up top. that color is creamsicle™ and i love it. for real though, orange-y/orange-yellow colors like that are so hard for me to achieve. I always end up skewing golden-yellow, so I always have deep admiration and respect for a pretty, soft-orange gif! i also love the scenes that you chose! more color palette gifs please, this is a request. thank you for playing <3

six years after the fact, you realize the closest you’ve ever been to being in love.

picture this: you’re 20 years old, he feels like warmth and safety and home, and he doesn’t know.

eye contact with him leaves your heart beating a little harder. when he hugs you, you never want to let go, and you hold on a little extra tightly while hoping he won’t notice. you laugh at all of his jokes even when nobody else does because you can’t help yourself. you take the long way to drop him off so you can savor the extra few moments together and are grateful when he doesn’t question it.

he is kind, and thoughtful, and genuine, and he remembers things about you even your closest friends sometimes forget. you hide in the shadows and yet he finds and sees you every single time without fail. he reaches for you in the darkness and pulls you back from it more than once.

you don’t tell him because you are afraid to ruin a sacred friendship. you don’t tell him because you are in a club together and don’t want to mess with the dynamics. you don’t tell him because you think you want different things, so what chance do you have, anyway? you don’t tell him because you are a coward.
