Also, I had a little hc that Zeff's logbook or journal was the one thing that got him through those days on the rock, so he reads it for his comfort when he needs it.

When baby Sanji is having a hard time sleeping due to nightmares for a week straight, Zeff reads his journal for Sanji. Zeff thinks it'll bring Sanji comfort like it brings him, but in reality, Zeff's presence and care is really what helps Sanji sleep peacefully for the first time in a while. (Also ofc Zeff starts wearing his moustache in braids after Sanji started braiding them OFC)
