both generals. both destined. both knights to the majesties they ‘ d loved. one capable of coming out the other side.

yarrow and kitty speak in dreams and in altered states. they know one another closely. he has made her feel more understood than her parents has ever hoped to. he loves this grandchild he will never truly know ; he loves this child he wishes could have been his own. he wishes his life could have been beautiful.

they connect often during prayer and that is sacred to kitty. she asks him for guidance and for counsel. his body remains in the valentine crypt , unaltered from its moment of death. it is left with nothing but the scarred remains of the fatal blow that killed him. kitty often pays her respects directly to him , attends to the body as though this might have been her father. as though he loved her as joss never did.
