This is a reference to two things!

1- Shane's old hairstyles, that being long and the side buzz cut he had for a sec

2- the "damn I messed up, we gotta go bald" is from a meme video

I do find the headcanon of Emily helping out Shane with his hair to be a fun wholesome idea

OH and that Emily uses Haley's vanity mirror.

ANYWAY, this was yet another attempt at backgrounds and this one was a lot more enjoyable :)

Looking at Shane's old art did give me another funny idea but I'll have to draw it another time, I want to get better at drawing the other bachelor's so it'll have to sit on the back burner for a bit!

being a fic writer is so funny. i just gave my phd thesis into print and literally my first thought looking at the final word count, the culmination of 3+ years of agony and research and blood and tears etc., was "well that's substantially shorter than the exr college au i wrote as a 19 year old in a depressed haze over six months"

if, IF, Wymack were to ever date at all (and i do NOT believe in Abby), it’d be kind of sexy of him to date someone younger. i’m talking at least a 5 year gap. no it’s not related to an OC wip shuddup.

except if he does that, there’s no one canonically to fill that position. which means bringing in an outsider. which means a potential ‘wife in the attic’ situation. except the wife is 9 feral youths. and the attic is a court. and they’re not contained at all. they’re all up in your business in a matter of milliseconds and you know they’re there. you just can’t do anything about it. neither can Wymack. and you have to decide right there and then if you’re ready to be a parent of 9+ problematic dumpster fires.

do you have a favorite Harvest Moon title and favorite marriage candidate/character?

Ahhh I've played so many that's it's hard to choose! Island of Happiness was the first one that I really played (technically I had played the original on the super Nintendo but I didn't play it a lot until I got older) so that one will always hold a special place in my heart. I also really like Animal Parade, A New Beginning, and Light of Hope.

I've got so many favorites that it's impossible for me to choose one. Any witch or wizard character is immediately at the top of the list though lol

I also really like Vaughn from IoH, Neil from ANB, just about everyone from Animal Parade, and Dean and Jeanne from LoH
