Black Canary: Kids, I hate to break it to you, but that’s called a traumatic event.
Black Canary, to Kid Flash: Not a ‘bruh moment’
Black Canary, to Artemis: Not a ‘major L’
Black Canary, to Miss Martian: Not a ‘spicy slay’
Black Canary, to Super Boy: Not an ‘oof lmao’
Black Canary, to Aqualad: Not a ‘yikes situation’
Black Canary, to Robin: And definitely not an ‘average tuesday’

With the second half of Young Justice Season 4 beginning this coming Thursday, I'm back on my YJ bullshit (though we all know I never left), and I'm in the middle of yet another rewatch.
The past couple times I've largely moved past Season 2 because the plot with The Reach and Evil Jaime makes me u p s e t, but I'd like to yet again bring up the incredible themes talked about even this early on in this series.
Consent (M'Gann and her abuse of her telepathy)
Trauma (S1 after Failsafe, ofc, and the death of Garfield's mom. Can also be seen in ep 1 when Nightwing tells Robin "don't die," and he's generally panicky about leading and putting his teammates in danger.)
Losing onesself (Red Arrow's/Will's whole arc about falling off the deep end. And his shift to family matters and n o t abandoning his daughter.)
HUMAN TRAFFICKING. (literally all of S2 and S3) No one talks about this enough??? It spans two seasons and no critics of the show give the plotline any credit.
Relationships (Connor and M'Gann, duh.)
Losing loved ones (this one doesn't manifest way too much until S3 but it's actively present when they talk about Jason, Ted Kord, and Tula. Oh, and Artemis lol.)
As an absolute side note, I've been keeping track of this bus of kids from S4 and I'm going insane, I can't believed they had that planned !!
Anyhoo, that's all for now. Currently watching 2x07? The episode Bart Allen is introduced.

Endeavour Fandom Meme tagged by @wherehefoundtheporcupine, thanks!
Top 5 Episodes
Ride is my absolute #1 favourite. I’ve watched it so many times. The plot is so ridiculous. Great Gatsby&the Prestige crossover? I love it. Morse taking the time to heal after trauma? I needed so much more of that. THE HAIR? Forever in love. Home is also a favourite. Endeavour’s so YOUNG there. We get to see some of his family. We get some Thursday backstory. They take down the (former) mob-boss together. Morse looks so terribly fragile at the end. I just love it. Trove, immediately following Home, also great. Morse slowly piecing himself back together after being shot in the pevious season’s finale. Protective Dad!Thursday. The way Morse snarks at the snooty professor. The kindness he shows Frida Yelen’s dad. The tender moment with Monica. There’s a lot to love in this episode. Neverland almost didn’t make it in the top 5, because the puppet CREEPS me out, but I had to have it here, if only for Morse standing with Thursday, doing what’s right, despite the (DIRE) consequences. AND the POEM! I could listen to that on repeat except I cant handle the emotions. And lastly Deguello, andother episode where Morse takes on the corrupt upper layers, only this time with the Cowley team standing by him. Also by this episode I had gotten used to the Morsestache and could almost live with it.
Runner-up for Quartet for fantastic spy shenanigans, and also just mentioning Coda as a runner-up because I enjoy the angst of the bankrobbery but am not really here for manipulation-via-women that’s the plot of this episode.
Seasons in Order of Preference (or tops)
Gods must you do this to me? There’s highs and lows in all things. S3, S1, S2, S5, S4, S6. I haven’t brought myself to watch S7 yet, I worry it’ll make me dislike the show. It all seems so DIRE. I prefer the earlier seasons where there wasn’t AS much strife between Thursday and Morse, though the differences were always there I suppose. S3 is a definite fave, I love all 4 films that year. S4, the season where Joan left without saying anything, is only so low because it hurts my heart soo much. I cannot bear Win’s suffering. She breaks my heart in season 4, what a phenomenal performance with the little screentime she has. I love Win so much.
Favourite Scene(s)
Season 3, episode 1; Morse is back in Oxford, where he belongs, and he’s sitting on a bench next to Thursday. They discuss the case, Morse predicts the sandwich. And then, finally FINALLY. Morse talks about what prison was like. He tries to keep it light, but it’s... it’s still so fresh. But Thursday listens, and reassures him when he starts to doubt himself. And these actors, their faces, it’s just. I love it.
Tumblr media
Honorary mentions for the bed-shopping scene with Monica which is adorable and I love their love, the scene where Morse and Claudine discuss rain and sex because I like when Morse is happy, the exact way in which Thursday says "He's an idealist" in S6 finale Deguello as he's explaining why he can't get Morse to back off, and the scene after Fancy’s death, between Morse and Frazil because the way Morse says “he was 23″ and the look on Frazil’s face always brings tears to my eyes.
Favourite Musical Piece or Moment
I don’t really know? Despite the imporance of music in the show, I don’t really pay too much attention. I wish we had more of Morse’s singing. If I had to pick something I’d pick have Ein Deutches Requiem from Trove, but that’s mostly because I recognised it from when I sang it with my choir, and then I listened to (and hummed) the whole Requiem for about a month because of nostalgia and for the max Endeavour vibes it was giving me.
Also, I agree with wherehfoundtheporcupine; the theme tune. It’s so... wistful? I think? Just the association with the show I love, but also the soft beginning, swelling to that dramatic rolling melody and then the tender ending. Yeah.
Favourite Cinematography/Imagery (season, ep, whatever)
Probably this shot from Ride:
Tumblr media
(gif by @guardiansinferno)
I’m also a big fan of the way Morse never looks at bodies for long, and he’s always angled away from them in groupshots. He can’t escape it, but he’ll never be comfortable around death, and turn away as soon as he can.
Favourite Ensemble Character that isn’t Morse
Win. I just love her. I love how Caroline O’Neill plays her. I love how gentle and kind and supportive and welcoming and caring she is. But I also love how she stands up for herself, how strong she must be, as we see in glimpses of her life as a policeman’s wife. She’s amazing.
Runner up for Bright, who I’ll be honest I didn’t like at first, but now even on rewatches is always a joy to behold. Look at that man. He got where he is by doing things by the book, but he’s slowly learning that sometimes justice trumps order, and that it’s the people that are important, not the laws.
Favourite One-episode Character
Probably Bettina Pettybon, bless her poor heart. She has such a huge arc in the one episode she’s in. I hope she’s out there living her best life.
Favourite Morse Look (season, ep, whatever)
Smiling (gif by @snappyjenkins) The scarf (despite the negative connotations) also looks really good on him.
Tumblr media
Runner up for this look (gif by @mykingackles):

Biggest Disappointment
The unresolved plot with Joan Thursday. Actually, the confusing character development of Joan Thursday. I wish we knew more about her mindset after Coda, and after coming back. I wish they hadn’t done the will-they-won’t-they-no-of-course-they-won’t-cause-canon thing for so long. Now they both just seem wishy-washy.
Provide some Spicy Takes (on canon, fandom, anything)
I keep forgetting that Morse has a sister, and I think the show should cater to me in that regard and actually mention her every once in a while. Let him talk about calling his sister, or end an episode with him dialing her number or something if you can’t afford to get the actress back.  Actually, extrapolating from that I’m done with Endeavour - Lone Wolf. Let him make (and keep!) some friends, even outside the precinct. He’s a prickly bugger at the best of times, but even prickly buggers find soft pincushions to stick to. I don’t know where this metaphor is going, let’s get back on track - Morse is kind in his own way. He cares, almost too much sometimes. Give us someone who cares back. I miss the Monica seasons.
Free Space! (Make up something - anything - you want to share or say)
I haven’t given enough love to Dorothea Frazil in all the previous questions. She’s such a great character, we really should’ve gotten more from her. I love the dynamic she has with the main duo, the way she and Morse seem to always be on the same wavelength, and how antagonistic Thursday is towards her. I wonder if it’s because he’s so old-fashioned and she’s not having that patriarchal bullshit, or if it’s just because she’s a journalist. I should go back and add Game to my favourite episodes, just because of her scenes in that, and the way Morse doesn’t even have to say what happened to her protogé. Also the way Trewlove puts that asshat who underestimates her chess knowledge in his place. God this show has so many amazing moments.
I have the feeling this game is spreading like wildfire through the fandom, I’ve seen it on my dash a lot, but I’m going to tag @endeavourous and @snappyjenkins cause I don’t think I’ve seen theirs yet?

young justice s3 - episode 22 reaction!
note: SPOILERS!!!
- this COMPLETLEY made up for the mess that was episode 19 (see my halo rant here) and also left me with a lot of emotions that i want to talk about because i was feeling a type of way
- someone better tell me where the FUCK artemis is because i know her and dick are friends from s1 till now and always will be - even without considering the bond they probably have through wally’s “death”.
- jace needs to shut up or square up because the only mad scientist/doctor i like is doctor doofenshmirtz from phineas and ferb, she really must be joking if she thinks tara and brion are going to accept or want to be with her after she practically SOLD halo to keep them.
- i remembered the way jace called tara and brion her kids in previous episodes and it sends a chill down my spine thinking about it now.
- someone needs to give my jeffreson a break because he’s just had the worst day and still managed to pull some scooby doo level explanation and expose bruce and the rest of the anti-light’s (is it not called shadow or darkness?) bullshit.
- i don’t approve of the methods of which the anti light did anything but i can see how they thought it was good because it was, it enabled the outsiders to go in public and try to build morale. HOWEVER, they also played teenagers!
- these are children!! it’s not fair to see adults, one that they trust, go behind their back and basically use them as puppets. and it certainly isn’t fair to see that bruce literally did create ‘Batman Inc’ - even in the League, the power dynamic has and will always change to put bruce at the top because he is respected and he does deserve it but to create a whole team which mostly consists of his proteges, it’s clear he expected to not be questioned.
- i understand barbara too but i also have to question her hypocrisy - she knew and was an active part of the anti-light, she doesn’t have the right to turn around and put all the blame on bruce and say ‘you shouldn’t have made it 80% batman associates’ but also be one of or the main strategist for the anti light. barbara needs to know that there is responsibility on all of their heads but a majority falls onto batman.
- someone better tell me what the FUCK is going on with granny goodness? like is that your twin? aunty atrocity??
- y’all bitches better strap in tight because if vandal savage is worried then the fuck are these spandex losers going to do?
- overall, i loved this episode and i miss wally west.

How bout 17 or 10 for yj ask
Thanks for the ask! I never get asks and I love them. Forgive me if I ramble (I’m gonna ramble).
17: You can make your own team, 6 members, who is on it?
Subjectively, if I were just picking my favorite characters, it would probably be: Kaldur, Tigress, Rocket, Static, Red Arrow and Nightwing...
Objectively though, if I were trying to build the most effective team possible?
1. Miss Martian: The Team needs a telepath and M’gann’s the best in the game. On top of that, she has a truly remarkable and versatile power set. Shape-shifting, density shifting, camouflage, telepathy, telekinesis. Low-key, she’s one of the most powerful people on the Team. I’d rather have her on my side in a fight than Superboy tbh.
2. Halo: Another hero with an amazing power set. Even without the holograms and force fields and healing, she can come back from the dead! It was gruesome, over the top and sometimes racist on the show but in theory, it’s really cool. Also she has the Anti-Life Equation or is the key or...the show lost me a little during that part but I’m sure it’s important, whatever the hell it is. Halo also just really wants to help people so that’s great.
3. Blue Beetle: Again, incredibly versatile and effective. The Team needs a bruiser or two and he fits the bill alongside Miss M if she really gets into it. BB can bench-press Mongul. Remember that scene when he beat the shit out of the entire Team during Invasion? It was perfection. Jaime is a first-round draft pick, no question.
4. Robin (Tim Drake): Every team needs a bat-brat. I don’t know what Bruce is feeding them but they’re all super-effective ninja-soldiers. That’s the only reason everybody puts up with Batman and Nightwing’s bullshit, because they’re that good. Tim is probably the most mellow of them, perfectly willing to just be a good team player and tech-guy for everyone.
5. Zatanna: We need a magic guy to make sure all our bases are covered here. I don’t really stan her like that and don’t have that much to say but she more than holds her own in every fight and has bailed the team and League out time and time again. Speaking of magic though...
6. Aqualad/Aquaman: Every team needs a leader and Kaldur’ahm of Shayeris is, for my money, the best possible option. I could write an essay on it, I really could. He’s led the Team, the League, his father’s Manta-Troopers and even Queen Bee’s Onslaught (Icicle, Tommy Terror, etc.) to victory. Remember in Summit when Vandal Savage is ranting about how annoyingly epic Aqualad is? Kaldur’s the embodiment of that Michael Jordan pic with all of his championship rings.
He also has an incredible understanding of people for a guy who’s not telepathic. In Drop-Zone, Kaldur is able to explain clearly and thoughtfully where the Team is going wrong and what they need in a leader. In Disordered , he lays out all of his teammates shortcomings without a drop of malice or ego. He knows when Superboy needs social graces explained to him, when he has to explain to the group why Wally’s such a dumbass about magic, when Artemis just needs a break... Let me be clear: If it weren’t for Kaldur’s leadership, the Team would have been dead in the water (pun intended) back in S1 several times over.
So yeah, that’s my team I guess! I like them, together they could probably take on everybody. Coming to you in S4, Young Justice: Don’t Start None, Won’t Be None.

Aside from Sara, who in the dctv universe do you think len would be attracted to/consider pursuing something with?
That’s really hard to say?
And attraction is very different from genuinely considering pursuing something. Who he’s attracted to could be any number of characters and we’d never really know, because most people don’t act on every (or even most) passing attraction(s)?
So I’m approaching this from the angle of “who would he genuinely consider pursuing or try to pursue” and my answer is coming up pretty short (sticking to canon, that is, because I can ship a lot in fandom).
Because with Sara, a few preconditions (after basic attraction) were also met? She’s single, she’s a badass who can hold her own in a fight, she’s more morally grey than most of the heroes he’s met so far, and she has her own checkered past and demons that she wrestles with. They’re working together closely and he knows he can trust her to have his back and that she has a huge loyalty to all of the team. She demonstrates (in S1) great emotional insight into others and cuts right through (his) bullshit but she’s typically non-judgemental about it. She doesn’t try to change him but she does expect him to be authentic and a better version of himself.
Aside from shipping coldwave (which I think is super canon-plausible), I can’t really see him pursuing anyone else on the Legends voyage. Jax is too young and too much like a younger brother (or son, given their ages...), Stein is married and their personalities would clash, Len and Rip are too at odds and Len doesn’t trust him, same with Ray tbh?, and Kendra seems pretty uninterested in Len and Mick and sees them as the dangerous criminals on the team. I think Len would find her too sweet for him? And he’d fine Nate too frustrating/annoying.
Of all the Legends, I can see him maybe having a thing for Amaya, to be honest, once he got to know her. Once she showed her (moral) flexibility a bit and they found a way to joke with each other. But I think he’d find her a bit strict? And maybe not easy to connect with or open up to.
For Arrow...it would be hard to me to see him with any of the Arrow ladies. Thea is too young and he would not at all be her type. Felicity is too... earnest? And would need more from him emotionally than he’s ready to give. Laurel comes the closest, but her moral compass and her being a DA make me think they might not actually get along much.
For the men... haha, I can’t decide if it would work perfect or be a complete and utter trainwreck to have him and Oliver together. I feel like they are too similar in certain regards, which would leave them often at odds and in competition. And by another token, Oliver has done a lot of killing (low-level) criminals and I think Len would see him as a deadly agent of justice and it would take a while to get around that reputation. And Digg wouldn’t put up with Len’s shit in the slightest (plus Digg is [was?] with Lyla) so... idk.
Which leaves us with Flash characters. Caitlin is an immediate ‘no’ because she wouldn’t be attracted to a guy like him at all. She likes guys who work out and who compliment and spoil her a little, guys that make her feel safe and protected and talk softly to her and she wouldn’t be comfortable with Len and his coldness. (And yes I ship her and Mick...). Iris seems unlikely because she was pretty scathing of him, and she needs honesty in a relationship, like a lot (with Eddie and now with Barry) and I don’t see that as something Len could really provide her with, and he’d be exhausted even trying to. I can see her lecturing him a lot and him not having any of it.
I can see Len being compatible with either Barry or Cisco though, to be honest. Not that he’d ever genuinely pursue anything with either of them, based on canon. Barry is his enemy, but he’s got most of the same checklist as Sara does: badass, surprisingly morally grey and has plenty of personal demons, has worked with Len and can see through and cut through his bullshit but does so while having rapport instead of being preachy. With Cisco... Len’s straight up admitted he likes Cisco, and he loved the alias Cisco gave him. Cisco is badass, clever, gorgeous, and has his own moral greys that crop up sometimes. He’s also funny and I think Len would really enjoy having him around. I can’t say if it would ever end up in flirting and romance territory, but I can just see them hitting it off.
But yeah, sorry dude, if we’re sticking hard to canon, the answer is pretty much that he wouldn’t genuinely try to pursue any of them (except Mick, who is already his husband).
