They are immediately the cutest fucking people when together. So soft, so giggly.

I know it’s part of their social culture, but they drink a lot. Maybe it’s because I don’t drink, but dang.

“Jungkook is currently doing his skincare.” They add to the screen after panning away for scenery, yet leaving the sounds of *slap slap slap*😭

Jungkook cycling through multiple pairs of sunglasses, and Jimin swanning in and picking the first pair is peak! They’re so similar I yet so different, lol.

Another thing I’m sure is part of their culture, is the way they pay for stuff, but I find it interesting still that we’ve seen Jimin buy almost everything during their trips, since as far as we know they have pretty lax hierarchy rules between the two of them normally.

Jungkook is in the most romantic moment of his life, lmao! “I love it here!!!” said a million times. That man was experiencing a real life Hallmark movie in his head.

I also thought they spoke/understood way more Japanese than they apparently do.

And I didn’t mention it up top, because I decided to “live blog” thoughts like ten minutes in or whatever, but Jungkook softly and sweetly saying he wanted to come back to Japan because it reminded him of their first trip together… SOBBING! He’s such a sentimental guy, with an equally as sentimental guy on his arm.

They truly do vibe so well, and I understand with each passing episode why them enlisting together was a non-choice choice. They click. Like they said themselves, they’re one person split into two bodies, and it’s clear as day they thrive off of being around one another.

Not to get too sappy either, but it’s insane they feel that way about their bond and dynamic, on top of all the things that already just so happened to bring them together. Not just born in the same country, but same city. Auditioned for the same music group. Actually made it into the same group… they were destined to meet, and even they feel that way. All that’s missing is them being the same age, and they’d be the same person. That’s an insane thing to say, but really tells you how deeply they value their connection.

i can also see ema as like the character who's genre savvy and very aware and annoyed of all the tropes happening around her lmao, like her and apollo are grumps about being in an xmas romcom but ema would give an incredulous look at the camera and break the fourth wall everytime something cheesy happens near her i think ASKSKSK

i dont like isabella and phineas as an actual ship but seeing reactions to act your age from people who DO ship phinbella also kind of makes me see how it could make them angry, too. i never even thought about this but isabella doesn't even get to tell phineas herself! it robs her of all of her agency!!!!! FUCK!!!!!

part of act your age i find fascinating is isabella and phineas growing apart and the tragedy of isabella just. giving up. and only then does phineas realize what he's been taking for granted, only then does he think about what she means to him, and only then does he start to actually think about her in the romantic sense. it makes me think about that transition period when isabella was coming over less and less, and phineas was starting to realize he was missing her, and he tries to connect with her one to one and it just isn't working because she's lost all passion and hope. he clearly wasn't there for her when she needed him, but she was ALWAYS there when he so much as hinted at needing help.

she realized she deserved better and was starting to distance herself from something that ended up being CLEARLY unhealthy without phineas paying any attention to how she feels or has been feeling (which is kind of mean to phineas' character too), and then act your age puts them BACK TOGETHER with an empty-feeling promise that this time something will be different when phineas clearly still doesn't fully value her as another fully human equal person. which is bad FOR BOTH OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

like. phineas being oblivious to the feelings of the people around him and hurting them without ever noticing it is so perfectly tragic and is such a great setup for some serious growth from him. in the show and even in catu, he only really notices candace's suffering or anxiety when it's being pointed out to him or if it's comically obvious. the only person he can really read is ferb, and even then he's inconsistent about it. everything else just passes him by while he's in his own world and ignoring the real one. THAT'S INTERESTING. and they breezed past it for some half baked sitcom nonsense 😭

plus, isabella GOT OVER her obsession with phineas and realized that she deserved better than to be ignored and not listened to. which is a very "good for her" moment. but then she gets sucked right back in because their friendgroup decided to try and force it (CHARACTER ASSASSINATION FOR EVERYBODY INVOLVED). and phineas ends up making a huge life decision (which college to go to) off of an impulsive same-day relationship that he isn't even sure will work out long-term. they've clearly barely interacted for a long time and there's a lot of tension that WON'T just melt away because of a hallmark movie kiss. hate. hate

Anorak - do you have a winter staple coat? Yes and no. I wear the same hoodies and jackets all throughout the year. And I only have like 7 of them.

Arctic - do you like the cold weather? Absolutely not. Here in Louisiana its nearly always hot. We are conditioned for it. So below 63 is cold (for me at least) and below 55 is freezing.

Aesthetic - describe your ideal winter aesthetic. In words? Like… English words? I mean… I’ll try (can’t promise it’ll be comprehensible): lights; food; more lights; a town covered in lights; most likely no snow (hate the cold; read above 👆🏾); idk 😆 im bad at articulating.

Black Friday - do you like going Black Friday shopping? Me and shopping don’t mix. Me and spending money don’t mix. Before the store I’ll be like, “No i don’t wanna go to the store. It’s cold in Target (pronounced tar-jayy; anything else is wrong don’t @ me).” Me in the store: “Oh my gosh is that an owl necklace? With sapphires?! Jasmine (fav aunt) would love that! Well, my aunt and her husband and daughter moved to Alabama a month ago and I can’t help but feel sad whenever I think about how they’re not here. I don’t care what I get for Christmas, if the whole family isn’t together idrc. But even still, something about this season won’t let me stay down. Itks beauty and it’s light always lifts my spirits.

Champagne - do you do anything special for New Year’s Eve? The 30 is my mom’s birthday and the 31 my aunt’s (Jasmine). So we always go all put with a bonfire, s’mores, hot chocolate, candy, games, food, movies etc.

Cold - what is the best movie marathon? I stayed on this for like 30 minutes 😆. I haven’t the faintest idea.

"like what was the eye closeup thing in the christmas dinner clip" - unpopular opinion n i understand if u won't post it. I think sascha's actor is so bad in acting. He only can smile and make puppy eyes. Like literally saschisi have a bingo of no good story, no good acting and no chemistry at all. It's disaster comparing to other druck pairings, 'cause all of them have at least good chemistry. So they use this close-ups and purple bubbles to "help" to create some kind of ~chemistry~.

this is an interesting take n i don't completely disagree w u. generally i can't rly judge the skam actors' acting bc i'm not fluent in any of the remake languages (well except for austin i suppose) so i usually can't tell if line deliveries etc are good or not. however i have had issues w the chemistry too...

i think i talked abt this briefly before but like the whole sascha is ~ in love ~ w isi just.. didn't translate to me at all especially at the beginning of the season. it was clear from the writing bc that message was pushed from left n right constantly but i just like wasn't able to see it in the chemistry. remember that clip where they're playing music at sascha's place & isi starts talking abt lou & then leaves w umut n the camera focuses on sascha's face? so many ppl were just going ahhh he's so sad :( he's so gone for isi ☹️ n then i watched the clip myself n if i hadn't read those reactions beforehand i honestly would've just thought he looked bored... generally i think his acting is very one-note, i can't evaluate if it's good or bad since i don't know the language well but it's definitely just very similar from clip to clip regardless of context.

but then again idk if that's just specifically sascha's actor or if the problem is in the directing bc he's not the only character who has those moments. like i see eren as a pretty solid actor but even they had moments where the emotions were just.. not rly there. like the clip druckaddicts themselves posted abt? the point abt close ups & lighting as a way to make up for it actually does make a lot of sense tho. i doubt that the team is looking at the scenes like wow our young actors suck ass we NEED to do smth abt this let's add close ups But now that u mentioned that i do think the intention is to make those scenes more intimate/intense/spectacular. like isi themselves told lou it was "magic" with sascha. so they're trying to overcompensate w weird lights & close ups to rly drill that in us like yeah these ppl are soooo soul mates trust me they're definitely so in love look how magical !! (pro tip: give the couple some development n show the magic in the writing itself next time ✨)

n i think that's just a preference thing but ive always been against this sort of cinematography heavy aestheticization of skam seasons (skamfr says hi), there's a certain style of cinematography that fits the realism & every-day-life feeling that they aim for but stuff like this just makes me feel like i'm watching some hallmark christmas movie smdjlsjd also... i say it's just a preference but apparently like half of the fandom wasn't sure if the kiss was real or just isi's imagination bc of the way it was shot so.. maybe it's actually just objectively bad 😭

Bestie Ghosted is such a joke lmao. The entire movie is a fucking parody and cannot be real. The way one of the locations is of Pakistan but it's not even filmed there, the set they created was of a market where they placed random Urdu words mixed with Arabic 💀 Like the entire set was so not Pakistan lol. The Pakistani people they had were looking Turkish lmao - NONE of them even looked Pakistani or knew how to speak proper Urdu.
