Just (ram-wise) exploded my computer from trying to make a web extension for myself

I made the mistake of making it try to update every frame of having my browser open on tumblr.com and my machine froze completely at like 0.002 fps, i could barely if any even move my mouse around the screen

I've achieved the effect of almost basically forkbombing myself without a forkbomb

I don't necessarily blame the people who had to set up this new layout because I'm sure they're overworked, underpaid and just doing what they're told. But I WILL take whoever made the design choice to slap a big fucking useless banner at the top of a page with a button that doesn't work by the shoulders and start shaking them like a bobblehead.

Game is: The Farmer Was Replaced

Sooo yeah... I can't quite grasp the more complex code, so what I have in play is craptons of simple code in four sections, all of which are sort-of copies of each other but with tweaks for what is needed each round. Then the entire thing loops. Basically, something like this (in summary cuz the individual tiles need specific things):

harvest grass, water, buy seeds, plant crops, harvest trees, plant trees on corners

harvest crops, reset the crop squares for grass, harvest trees, plant trees on corners

harvest grass, buy seeds, plant crops, harvest trees, plant trees on corners

harvest crops, reset the crop squares for grass, harvest trees, plant trees on corners

The third and fourth sections are there because looping the first two uses more water than needed. The drone's flight pattern is set to start in the NW corner of the grid, go south and around in a loop, then dip into the middle and back up to start the loop over again. The drone's movement speed is slightly slower than plant growth with one growth speed upgrade, which is fine for now… other than I can now make the farm bigger which means either a bigger mess of code… or figuring out the stuff that's making my eyes cross. I wonder if I can call functions from other windows… might be an unlock. Hmm.

Oh and the center of my grid is four punkin spots but one died in the screenshot (they randomly do that).

Steve Harrington who has been trying for weeks (maybe even months) to woo Eddie and keeps failing UNTIL he makes an offhand comment correctly referencing one of the groups nerd books. Weeks and weeks of using smooth lines that have never failed him until Eddie, and this is what gets him the guy? Nerd lingo he’s learned purely through osmosis.

Steve who is just standing there like “really? That’s what did it for you? Jesus Christ I can’t believe I’m going to kiss you.”

Eddie, completely shocked by this turn of events: “you want to kiss me?????”

And the whole party is in the background like: “he has for a while thank you for finally catching up before we took drastic measures”

Okay, so now instead of one stupid-long window of code, we have... three! And a nice, neat, short one. I mean... it works. lol.

Bruce:....your... twin?

Danny: *all sleppy on the lap of damian* yes dad?
