What if, alternatively, Jinwoo Sung just passed us off to Baek Yoonho to be dealt with when our heat came on?
baek yoonho x reader (should we feature our king jinwoo?)
🔞mdni🔞
“I came here as fast as I could. You said it was important.” Baek’s shoulders heave as he catches his breath.
“President Baek.” Jinwoo smiles casually. “Yeah, I have a situation with one of my shadows. Figured you’d be the one to call.”
“Huh. What kind of situation are you talking about?” Baek feels a little uneasy with Jinwoo’s tone.
“You could say it’s right up your alley.” Jinwoo scoffs with a smirk, holding an intimidating gaze with Baek as he summons you in the flesh.
Your body, impressively appearing as real as ever, fabricates into a fetal position on the cold tile next to Jinwoo. You’re shaking, glistening in a layer of sweat and slick, with bright pink stained cheeks.
Baek looks you over, shocked at how you have color to your skin. You look nothing like the shadows he’s seen in combat. But what shocks him more is that something deep within him—instinct, if you will—alerts him that something is wrong with you. Very wrong.
“Intense, right?” Jinwoo’s voice is dark. “She makes me feel that way, too.”
“What’s wrong with her?” Baek asks, concerned and unable to take his eyes off you. Just the sight of you sets him on edge.
“Ever heard of a heat cycle?”
Baek freezes. He has. He knows. His head spins and his heart threatens to break clean through the cage of bones guarding it. His body tenses and his muscles swell under his already tight button up. It’s clear that he’s reacting to your presence, your scent—your pheromones.
“Exactly what are you trying to suggest here, Mr. Sung?” He throws a confrontation stare at Jinwoo and holds his breath.
He can scent your fertile pussy from here.
“Oh, I thought, you know, maybe you could help her out a little better than I could.”
Baek growls, and it sends your back into a deep bend. His eyes flick down to you and his pinpointed pupils blow into thin blood orange rings. His angered expression instantly switches to one of astonishment.
Your body’s reacting to him, too.
Baek’s leer of death snaps back to Jinwoo, who’s got a shit eating grin on his face.
“Don’t be too rough with her, if you can help it. She’s susceptible to pain at the moment.” Jinwoo stalks towards Baek, stopping parallel to him to rest a heavy hand on his shoulder. Jinwoo’s looking straight ahead, smirking slightly. “And don’t take too long, alright? Keeping her here like this drains my mana, and I’ve got shit to do.”
Baek lets out a scoff and seizes Jinwoo’s hand with force, and both men’s eyes ignite and pierce into one another. His chest rumbles with vexation and his hair turns silver. He opens his mouth to give Jinwoo a tongue lashing, but the feeling of you clawing at his feet draws his attention back down. You’re peering up at him, glassy eyed and droopy eared—reeking of desperation.
“A-Alpha?”
Baek is figuratively, and physically, taken aback—a short, sudden gasp bursting from his throat. Alpha? His cock stiffens in his pants and something switches deep inside him. His canines descend without his command and his lengthy claws prick at his fingertips. It’s already hard enough to reign the beast back in once he comes out, so why—and exactly how—are you yanking him out to play?
This is a very dangerous game.
Does Mr. Sung Jinwoo not understand that? Baek turns to look at the shadow monarch himself, prepared to throw his balled fist straight into his perfect jaw—even if it means fracturing a couple of his own knuckles.
“What the fuck do you take me for? A stud!?” His voice is distorted from the canines that fill his mouth.
“No.” Jinwoo chuckles softly, and he suddenly drops his grin. “A beast.”
Jinwoo plucks his hand from Baek’s grip with ease, and uses his stealth to fade into nothingness, leaving you here all alone, with him.
Baek can’t compose his anger, actually, he can barely compose just about anything within himself right now. He has no other choice but to look back down at you raking at his feet with your tiny, tiny claws. How can you do any damage with those little things? How do you protect yourself? He could protect you. His claws are longer—sharper.
Shit, what am I thinking?
He grapples with himself, fighting for control over his own mind and body. But with you squirming around at his feet, pressing your soft nose against thick calves—scenting him—he’s going to lose it.
“Hey, what’s your name, sweetheart?” Baek looks around and crouches down when he confirms that you’re actually all alone. “What kind of master just abandons you like this? Hm?”
Baek strokes your hair, raking it away from your face. You whimper from his touch, leaning into it, bathing in it. You inch closer to him, he’ll help you. He understands, you can sense it.
“Al-alpha…it h-hurts!” You cry and shove your hand between your slippery thighs. After the first two squelches, Baek knew one thing for certain.
He’s in trouble now.

baek yoonho x f!reader

plot: you thought the greatest obstacle to your relationship with yoon-ho would be your work schedules, or making it through a dungeon. apparently you were wrong though.
cw: fem reader, pre-existing relationship, age gap couple, miho is trying to be a good person but honestly it's hard
--------------------🐯---------------------------
The message on your phone was cryptic but seemed urgent. :Meet me at this address. 13:00 sharp: from an unknown number. You were tempted not to go, as you were not one to be told what to do by strangers on a telephone, but curiosity got the better of you.
You were surprised to find that the address was to a small diner downtown. The kind you get coffee and donuts either early in the morning or very late at night. Not much of a crowd draw in the afternoon. Still, you went in and looked around the fading décor to see if you recognized anyone and who the mysterious messenger might be.
“Ah shit…..”
Your eyes land down the row of booths to see Miho sitting at the third one. Her red hair sticking out vividly as ever and unmistakable, even before she looked up and made eye contact with you. “So it was you hn? Let me guess what this is about.” You tell her as you come close. No point in turning around now. Might as well sit across the table to let her get it all out.
“Can I get you anything?” The two of you turned towards the waitress that suddenly appeared. Clearly ready to take the tables order now that the full party was here. How long had Miho been waiting?
“Black coffee please.”
“Coffee. Double cream. Two sugar.” The younger woman sucked her teeth in disgust, and you turn to her. “Life ‘s too short to pretend to like black coffee kid.” Order complete, you lean back in your seat to stare at Miho. “Well. Out with it.”
“What are your intentions with my father?”
You arched a brow at the question. You half expected her to just come out and ask you to stop seeing Yoon-ho. The two of you had been together for a while, but tried to keep it a secret. When it did eventually get out, as all secrets tend to due, you expected the Vice Guild Master to come knocking with her complaints. Not ask what your ‘intentions’ were. “What is this a marriage meeting?”
Miho sighed. “I just want to know what it is you two are doing. Is this casual? Serious? Intimate?”
“Are you asking me if I’m fucking your dad?”
The waitress nearly dropped the coffee cup on the table as she suddenly returned again. Red faced as she sat the second cup down and scurried away. Miho sneered into her mug. “Must you be so crass?”
“I never claimed to be a lady.”
“Precisely. Which is why I don’t know what my father sees in you.” You jut your brows in silent agreement. You don’t know what Yoon-ho saw in you either. But the two of you enjoyed spending time together and you didn’t like to question when something was going good. “What do you see in him?”
“Besides your dad being super hot?” You couldn’t be sure, but you thought you might have heard Miho’s back teeth crack with how hard she was tightening her jaw. “I don’t know. I just like him. He’s smart. Funny. He’s a hard ass but…deep down he really cares and is a good person. He makes me want to be a good person.”
There was a moment of silence before Miho sipped her coffee and sat it back down. “Ok. I approve.”
“Approve?”
“Yes. I approve.” She repeated.
“I don’t need your permission to date anybody.” You remind her. “But…thanks.” You didn’t need it, but you guess it was nice to have. This couldn’t be easy for Miho. Seeing her father date. Plus, the fact that he was dating someone not that much older than her. Overall, she was being very mature about this.
“Just try to be responsible please. I’m too old to have a baby sibling.”
“Oh, come on. You wouldn’t be excited to be eonni down the road?”
Miho visibly grit her teeth at you. “I will leave you in a dungeon before that happens.” She threatened. Pulling out some bills before slapping them on the table and seeing herself out.
“Hmm….has her fathers temper….”

It felt like you had just closed your eyes mere seconds ago when you felt a hand on your shoulder, gently shaking you awake.
It’s intrusive. Too rough. Too mean. Too much for you to keep on sleeping. It breaks you out of your dreams and pulls you out of your mostly peaceful sleep. And so, out of instinct, you turn your head away as your hand comes up to swat at the offending person who just can’t seem to let you sleep. But before you can make contact, you feel your wrist being snatched up in a startling quick motion- one that you barely have time to process- as you hear a deep voice above you, rumble a near silent complaint that your ears fall just a little too short of being able to understand.
But you know that voice. You know that voice from anywhere.
“Mmm…Yoonho…?” Your lips move on their own, parting softly as you ask for confirmation if it’s really him. If it’s really who you think it is. At the same time, you turn your head back and try to face the person standing over you. It takes a longer time than you would have thought to blink your bleary eyes open. You must have been sleeping more soundly than you had realized. But the person before you is patient and kind when they’re not stealing away moments of sleep from you. So they don’t rush you as you try to have your gaze adjust to the sudden change in scenery. Instead, they just watch and wait. And let you figure out who’s here for yourself. “Oh, Yoonho!”
The face of your husband, exhausted but warm greets your vision when you’re finally, finally adjusted enough to see and recognize the figure in front of you. Fiery, orange hair styled wildly. An intense pair of eyes of a similar shade and color. And a handsome face that almost anyone could fall in love with. And so the sight of him makes your heart flutter still, as you watch him take in your appearance. Eyes still full of the same love and kindness and care that you saw in him the first time the two of you met, all those years ago. Although there’s something different clouding expression at the moment. Something that furrows his brows and tugs his lips downward in a frown despite, the smile he’s obviously trying to keep up.
But before you can question him, you find that he already has a question waiting for you.
“Why are you out here?” His question is pressing and his tone is both serious and concerned. You can tell he’s not mad at you. He never gets mad at you. But there’s a look of utter relief in his eyes that tells you that in moments that you were asleep, he must have faced something extremely stressful. You try to think back if it could be at all work-related, but your mind moves too slowly. And it seems like at the moment, Yoonho doesn’t want you thinking about anything else except providing him answers. Because the moment he sees your mind start to wander and your lips start to hesitate, he continues pressing and looking for an answer- a response to what he needs to know. “I was looking for you for a while. I thought you’d be in bed, but I couldn’t find you for the longest time. I thought something had happened.”
There’s a sting in your heart when he says that. You know the risk that comes with being the spouse of a major guild leader and S-rank Hunter. You know his fears of something happening to you whenever he or your security detail isn’t around. But it’s that very sting at your heart that does manage to startle you awake enough to remember where here is exactly.
It’s the balcony attached to your shared bedroom. The one with the beautiful view- overlooking the mountains in the distance. But you’re not just on the balcony- you’ve created your own little set-up. He found you sleeping on one of the lounge chairs in the far corner with a blanket on your body pulled up to just before your chin. A bottle of water, your headphones, and your phone are on the side table right next to you, with your phone’s screen blinking an unfriendly symbol that shows you that your battery has long since died.
It’s not far from where you’re supposed to be at the moment, you realize as your eyes narrow in at the watch peaking up from the sleeve of your husband’s suit jacket. It’s a little below your eye line since he’s kneeling right next to your chair. If you tilt your head in the right direction, and squint really hard in the dim lighting of the balcony wall lights, you find it a bit easier to tell what is there. Just a little past seven in the morning if you’re reading it correctly. That must mean that it’s not far from where he must initially look for you too. You suppose you would be worried too if you found the bed that your spouse who is seldom awake before nine empty and cold two hours before they usually wake up.
But as you take in the deep etchings of your husband’s frown and dark circles starting to build under his eyes, you start to think about how he found you. Or rather, the state that he’s currently in. His suit jacket is still on his shoulders. His tie just barely loosened. His watch was still tight around his wrist. It makes you ponder for a moment. It makes you hesitant once again. And then you recall the time you had just read from the very same watch on his wrist. And what that must mean for his state of appearance…
“Did you…just get back?” The words slip off your tongue quietly, almost as if you were scared to say them. Because saying them might make them true. Might make your husband, who already works so, so hard for his guild and for the world, confirm with you that yes, he did just get back from the office. After being there bright and early nearly twenty-four hours ago.
But Yoonho just smiles. A smile that is a little too sad and exhausted for your heart to take.
“I did, sweetheart.” He confirms with a small sigh, his favorite term of endearment for you slipping and falling from his mouth effortlessly. But a second later, he dismisses that train of thought as he starts to lean in towards you. His lips are gentle as he presses them against your forehead. Once. Twice. Three times. And when he leans back, you find that his expression looks a little softer. More relaxed. Energized even. Almost as if just a little bit of contact between the two of you eased the pain- the burden of whatever he was feeling moments ago. “But that doesn’t answer my question.”
“I- um…” For a moment, it almost feels natural to give an instant answer. But then, you find yourself cutting yourself off and stumbling around your words quick as you recall the reason you’re out here in the first place. “...I wanted to watch the sunrise.”
Instantly, that earns a raised eyebrow from your husband. The man who knows you far too well to just accept that at face value.
“You wanted to watch the sunrise?” He echoes back to you, once again pressing you for an explanation. To be fair, it’s true. You do want to watch the sunrise. The sunrise is about to happen in probably twenty or so minutes if you read the time on his watch correctly. But you know Yoonho isn’t giving you that look because he thinks you’re a liar. He’s giving you that look because he knows how much you hate it when he accidentally wakes you up at six while he’s getting ready for work. So to find you like this? That means that there’s more to the story. More than you were letting on originally.
And so you nod at him, a certain bashfulness creeping in. Your desire to catch the sunrise for this time comes because of a specific reason- or rather, a specific tradition. It’s the first sunrise of Seollal, something you haven’t found yourself celebrating seriously in the past couple of years due to the craziness of gates and your husband’s awakening as one of the strongest hunters in the country. But this particular night, you found yourself up later than you usually would be, thinking about how different life used to be.
Seollal had snuck up on you this year. Though to be fair, Hunters are rarely able to take traditional holidays off. And with Yoonho always being on call for the more dangerous and random gate openings, even the holidays that his job as a firefighter used to honor had fallen wayside for your husband’s new career. Still, thoughts of what Seollal used to be like for your family made you feel nostalgic. The food, the family visits, the gifts. You don’t even if you could find your old hanbok- it’s been so long since you’ve had an occasion to wear one.
But as your eyes slid over to the arm clock on your husband’s side of the bed after losing track of time scrolling through your phone, you realized that if you just waited a few more hours, you’d be able to take part in at least one tradition you used to do for Seollal. One that you could technically pull off without family members to share this moment with. Even if you truly did wish it didn’t have to happen alone.
But Yoonho was a busy man. And you were his not-so-busy spouse at the moment. So at three in the morning, you found yourself dragging a blanket and your phone and everything you’d need to stay warm and entertained before the sunrise onto your bedroom’s balcony. And four hours later, you were found on the very same balcony, by the man you had hoped would have spent this time getting the rest he truly needed and deserved.
But even though you must have gotten much more sleep than your husband has managed to get in these past couple of days, you found yourself a little too tired to explain all this to him. What would he think anyway? Would another reminder of his inability to slow things down and take time for himself hurt him? Would he find it a little childish to hang out with something so reminiscent of the past? You know it would be completely unlike him to think that way- especially when it comes to you. But you’re sleepy and you’re tired of thinking too hard when it’s way past your bedtime and way earlier than your alarm is set to ring. So you opt for a simpler answer. One that requires less explanation. Yet one that you hope can explain everything you need.
“It’s the first one of Seollal…” You begin slowly, still feeling a little shy. But when Yoonho’s eyes start to light up in understanding, you feel a bit more compelled to continue on. Just enough to drive the point home. “And I wanted to watch…since it’s been a while.”
It truly has been.
“Ah…I see…”
That’s what the look on his face reads to you. It truly has been a while. Since for you. For him. And as you look closer into his eyes, you find that naturally, all of your little fears were completely unfounded. There was no need to worry about what he would think. There was no need to worry about the chance of hurting him or the chance of him growing resentful at the reminder of the fact that you have time to do things like this while he really doesn’t. Just like there was no need to worry about him thinking that you trying to do this was dumb or childish or just an excuse to needlessly cling onto the past. Because it’s out of his character. Because it’s not what he does, and certainly not what he does to you. And most of all?
“Then…could I join you?”
It’s a chance to turn back the clock. A chance to relax and take things slow. A chance to engage in a tradition he has long since forgotten. A chance to sit back and watch the sunrise. The first one he can truly appreciate in a long, long time.
“I’d like that.”
And it’s a chance to do it all with you.

It's not your fault (Baek Yoonho x Gn reader hurt/comfort)
Request: Nope
Pairing: Baek Yoonho x Gn reader (married)
Synopsis: After the Jeju Island Raid, as the guild master, Baek Yoonho has to keep going. However, as his partner, you see the cracks.
Tw: SPOiLER FOR S2 OF SOLO LEVELING, brief mention death
Notes: We need more fanfic with this man.

Coping the loss of someone can be different for everyone. For Baek Yoonho, as the White Tiger’s guild master, work was for him the easy way to trying to forget what happen during the Jeju Island raid. Of course, at the end, the threat was killed thanks to Sung Jinwoo and his shadow and the world was safe again.
You remember the blur of emotions when you saw your husband coming back home alive after seeing him deeply wounded by the Ant monster. It was a mix of relief and happiness that quickly turned into pure sadness as Yoonho dropped the bad news: Min Byung-Gyu has been killed during the raid. His best friend is dead. You cried so much that day, in the arms of Yoonho, who tried to stay strong for you but you felt his body shake and saw his eyes with unshed tears.
Some weeks after the raid, everything went back to a sense of normality. The grief was still there in both of your hearts but as a guild master, Baek needed to keep going without failing his teammates. Filling his time with more paperwork every day, it was now a regular pattern for your husband to come home late when you are already asleep. You only saw each other in the morning, however his growing eyebags didn’t get unnoticed even if you don’t have his sharp perceptive ability. Understanding the situation, you are not mad at him for it, on the contrary. You know that Byung-Gyu’s death took a toll on Yoonho, what was worrying you is the fact that he doesn’t want to talk about it, that he is keeping everything for himself, carrying this burden along with his charge of Guild Master and S-rank Hunter. You need to help him; he was there when you were grieving, so it’s your turn to show that you are here for him.
One night, when you were already in bed like always, you heard the entrance door open and recognized the footsteps of your husband around the apartment. You heard him coming toward your shared room, enter it slowly to not make any noise to not disturb you (even if you were not sleeping) and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower, washing off the day at the guild. When Yoonho came out, he was wearing a simple white tee-shirt and his boxer and quietly slipped under to cover, his back turned to you.
You heard his sight of tiredness, making your chest ache a bit in your ribcage. It’s now or never. Softly, you moved toward your husband and your arms went around his torso and waist, one hand on his beating heart, your head in the crook of his neck, spooning him. It was rare for you to be the big spoon but this time it was what he needed. Feeling his body tense a bit and then relax a bit in your hold, one of his hands gripped the one on his heart.
“Did I wake you up? I’m sorry sweatheart.”
“No, it’s okay.”
A heavy silence fell between the two of you. You can actually feel the tension and exhaustion in his entire body.
“Tiger?”
He hummed at the nickname. Before speaking, your hold tightens and you think about the right word to say:
“I…I know that loosing someone is hard, especially Byung-Gyu, and I know that I’m so far away from what you are going through but I just want to let you know that…That I’m here for you. As a listener, as a friend, as your partner...It worries me to see you building a shell around you when you are hurting. I can see it and I want to help you…like you helped me. You don’t have to be strong with me, I’m just Y/N, your partner… So please, talk to me so we can share your grief, so you’re not alone in this, I’m here for you, my love.”
Yoonho didn’t answer right away, making you worry that your choice of words was not correct and that you just upset him more. What you did not except, was for him to bring your conjoined hands for a soft kiss. His body was still stiff and he was still not facing you but you felt with the gesture and the shaking of his hand, a small crack on the wall he builds around his own heart.
“I saw him again after his death.”
Your eyes widened at his confession, but you keep your mouth shut.
“Hunter Sung resurrected him as a shadow to heal hunter Cha from a fatal wound, which he did. It was real, he was real. But you know that he always hated violence, always hated fight, that’s why he was a healer… Why he retired before the raid.”
You nodded your head, showing that you are listening and quickly you sensed what was going on inside his mind.
“When Hunter Sung let his shadow go, as I asked for respect of his choice, he…he smiled at me like he knew what I was thinking, like he wanted to tell me that-“
His body was shaking now and Yoonho tried to stop the sob that wanted to come out. Your heart broke at the sight and you usher him softly to turn over and face you. When he did, you saw his eyes were filled with tears that were threatening to spill. Placing a hand on his cheek, you finished his sentence.
“That it was not your fault.”
Those simple words were the final straw for his tears to roll slowly. Grief and guilt are not the best combination for someone like your husband, when the death of his comrade is affecting him so much.
He was fully crying in your arm now, sharing his pain with you and letting go of all the emotion he kept for himself. And you were her to welcome it, tightening you grip around him with both arms, mumbling words affection and slightly tracing circle on his back to sooth him. The two of you stayed like that for a long time until his tears dried out. When your eyes locked on each other, it was not the S-rank hunter that was looking at you but your grieving husband. You wiped the remaining tears off and you placed a soft kiss on his lips.
“You are not at fault for his death.”
Yoonho was ready to argue but you cut him off, wanting him to listen to you.
“He knew the risk when he chose to be in this raid like you or Jong-in. Death and Hunter will always be tied together.”
“He was retired when he decided to come for the raid, and because of what? Because of me, because I told him that I was going to Jeju Island!”
“But he chose for himself.” you looked at him with understanding and fondness. “He could have just let go of this idea and go back to retirement but he didn’t, because he was an amazing hunter, because even if he hated violence, he wanted to help as much people as he could. He wanted to help you like always when you were a team. I know it’s not fair and I know that it hurts but the smile he sent you was not for you to feel guilt about his death but for you to remember him for his determination and devotion.”
You smiled at your husband with only sympathy and gentleness in your eyes. He sighs shakily and brought you in his arms this time, his forehead on the center of your collarbones.
“I was a shitty husband for the past few weeks, huh?”
“No, you were just grieving and in pain and that is completely fine Tiger.”
“When are going to stop using this one?”
You chuckled teasingly: “Never.”
Yoonho shook his head, a small smile on his lips. With your arms around each other, he finally found a place where he does not have to be strong all the time.

The restaurant was a short drive from the hotel. The outside of the building was cast in bright lights to attract customers. BRUNOS was in bright orange against the red brick of the building.
The host lead you both to your table, Shane, the guard with dark hair, stands outside the restaurant and Stanley stays against the nearest wall to your table. The lighting is dim, lights hang low over the tables. Quiet classical music plays in the background.
Mr. Baek pulls out your chair before sitting across from you, a table for two. Your boss is dressed in simple black slacks, a white shirt and a black tie. You note his lack of a jacket.
Maybe his hunter abilities make his body temperature run hot?
A young woman approaches your table, clothing all black, her blonde hair held back with a headband.
“Hello, welcome to Brunos. Can I start you off with a drink?” Her notepad is ready to take your order.
You and Baek lock eyes before looking at the menu.
“I’ll have your strongest liquor, straight.” Baek huffs.
“And for you?”
“I’ll have a glass of water, with lemon. Um, what wine do you have?” You look up to the blonde woman as she flips through her notepad.
“We have over 100 choices of wine. Do you prefer white, red, or rose?” Your eyes grow wide at the comment.
What type of place did Mr. Baek choose?
“Rose is my go to.”
“We have a pink Moscato, peach Moscato-“
“I’ll try the peach Moscato please!” Peaches were your absolute favorite fruit growing up. You hope the wine will do it justice.
“Absolutely. Will this be together or separate?”
“Together.” Mr. Baek interjects, sending you a look so that you don’t argue with him.
It’s not like I could pay for myself anyway.
“Amazing. My name is Nicole. Don’t yell if you need me.” She walks away, leaving you both in silence.
Your eyes are on the menu, not aware of your boss taking in your figure.
His eyes trail down from your hair to your face. Your makeup that you applied accentuates the color of your eyes, your lipstick makes your lips look plump and juicy.
He looks to your neck where your fragrant aroma has been flooding his nose. Your black dress accentuates your cleavage.
Baek stops his thoughts from wondering, noting something else about you.
Your eyes look happy again. Yes, he knows you applied makeup, but your iris’ are shining again. You’re not slouching your shoulders either, a noticeable difference from the airport.
Baek heard you on the phone with Jean before he knocked on your door. Maybe she cheered you up over the situation with your boyfriend.
“What are you thinking about getting?” You look up, catching your boss already looking at you.
“I was going to ask you the same thing.”
Smooth recovery. Baek internally rolls his eyes.
I can’t keep ogling over my assistant.
“Oh, I was thinking of the seafood sampler! Cooked oysters, sea scallops, and lobster over a lemon risotto.” You read the items off the menu, giving Baek a chance to glance over the menu and to pick a random item.
“The…” Baek hesitates on the pronunciation of the item. “It’s the last one of the front of the menu. How do you pronounce that?”
“Filet mignon?”
“Yeah, that one. I’ll get that.”
“You do realize it comes with two orders of vegetables, right?” Baek sighs, reading through his choice.
“I’ll try something new tonight.” He looks up at your knowing face.
Baek hates vegetables. Especially in their whole form.
“No, you’re not.” You call your boss on his bluff.
“I will. In fact, I’ll get the asparagus and the sautéed spinach.” You look at your boss, unimpressed.
The last time you both ate a meal together; it was after 12 hours of meetings following a few unsuccessful raids. The ramen place you went to wasn’t customizable, you chose your broth and got what you got. You ordered the miso base, your boss ordered the pork base.
Your bowl was clean, your boss left all of the veggies in the bowl.
“You’re going to go hungry if you don’t get something else. Lets order a starter too.”
Once Nicole returns with your drinks, she takes your orders before reappearing with your appetizers.
Braised ribs with a mushroom sauce sit in front of Baek as the fresh break basket sits in front of you.
You split the appetizers, enjoying the comfortable silence as the food settles in your stomachs.
Soon, your meals arrive, you glass of wine and Baek’s bar glass stays full. The conversation flows from both of you, the alcohol easing your jaws.
“The convention opens at 8 tomorrow, its in the center attached to the hotel. Plan on being ready around 7:30.” Baek finishes off his steak, the spinach and asparagus growing cold on his plate.
“Of course. Is there a dress code?”
“Comfortable shoes.”
“Understood.” You pull out your phone and set your alarm for 6:00 in the morning. At the rate you’re drinking, when you end up in your bed you will fall asleep immediately.
Baek says your name, pulling your attention back to your boss.
“I saw the hotel has a hot tub. Would you like to join me when we get back?” You notice his face is slightly flush.
Probably from the alcohol.
“Sure! I’m glad I remembered to bring a bikini.” You smile falters as you remember which bikini you packed.
Baek asks for Nicole and gets your bill, along with the rest of your wine.
Once Nicole walks away with her big tip, Baek stands up and helps you out of your own chair. He offers his arm and escorts you through the restaurant and in to the waiting car.
Returning to the hotel, you both move to your separate rooms and get changed.
You are very happy to have packed a bikini and cover up with you. You did pack in preparation for anything.
You remember last wearing this bikini in the states, back when you first met Logan.
You scoff to yourself and strip from your clothes.
The bikini is tan with black lace accents. You made sure to match the bikini material to your own skin tone.
A thought crosses your head. Your bikini might be too revealing to wear around your boss. On the other hand, you didn’t pack any other options, so you were stuck with this one.
Moving to the bathroom, you look at yourself in the mirror.
You adjust the material of your top, noticing your breasts have shrunk since you last wore this bikini.
Frowning, you turn to the side for further inspection. The weight of your breats spill out slightly from the bottom cups.
You adjust the strings around your neck to be longer, giving you at least a smidge more modesty.
After washing your face, you slide on your plain coverup, slip on sandals, and step out of your room
Your boss is walking down the hallway towards you, a boyish grin on his face. In his hands is your half empty bottle of wine, and a wine glass.
“You trying to keep me drunk?” You tease, looping your arm with his extended elbow.
“It’s the first time in a long time that I can see you’re genuinely happy. I’d like to see it for as long as possible tonight.” Your heart is touched by is words.
Other than Jean, Mr. Baek has been the only person to show that he cares about you through his words and actions.
“I’d like that too.” You both exit the elevator and walk through the lobby.
You hum along with the song playing through the speakers.
“What’s this one called?” Baek asks as he guides you both to the pool room.
“Sailor Song by Gigi Peres. I think it’s a beautiful song.” You resume humming as Baek opens the door for you to enter.
You wish for a love to find you like the one Gigi is singing about. A passionate love, where they can’t stand to be away from another for too long.
The pool room is humid and to your surprise, does not smell of chlorine.
Three of the 4 walls are glass and show the busy world. The pool is a nice size, gradually sloping from a shallow to deep end.
The hot tub that Baek was so interested in trying was tucked into the glass corner of the room. Chairs and tables are spread throughout the area.
You’re a little surprised that it’s just the both of you here. It’s not that late, the sun is set but the time is only 8:30 pm.
You pour yourself a glass of the Peach Moscato before taking off your coverup.
You don’t realize your face turns sour as you look at your reflection in the windows.
“Will you be joining me?” Shaken from your thoughts, you turn to see Baek standing in the hot tub. His shirt is off, his hand outstretched, waiting to assist you into the hot tub.
Heat rises to your face, internally scoffing at yourself for getting excited over the washboard abs of your boss.
The same torso and arms you’ve seen flex and shine millions of times.
“Of course,” you take his extended hand and gently step into the hot water.
You ease your body into the hot water. Baek shifts away from you, allowing a comfortable space between you both.
With the cold glass of wine, in your hand, the jets kick on. The pressurized water hits your lower back.
You sigh and take a sip of your third glass, relaxing into the steaming water. The hum of the water pump resonates through the glass room. The interstate can be seen from your view. The headlights in the distance catch your gaze. You feel Baek shifting beside you, you’re too relaxed to be concerned.
This is what you needed. The peaceful serenity, the calming atmosphere, and the welcomed company.
Yoonho Baek’s heart hadn’t stopped racing since he asked you to join him at the restaurant. His heart continued to soar when you rid yourself of your coverup.
The black lace of your bikini looked eerily similar to lingerie. The back of his mind wondered if you wore that on purpose.
He sensed your distaste for the material, Baek couldn’t understand why.
You were beautiful.
The sigh that you let out went straight to Baek’s cock. He curses his hot blood as he shifts to ease his discomfort.
I shouldn’t be feeling this way. She is my employee. I am her boss.
Baek watched your every move. The way you brough the glass to your plump lips and took generous sips. Your shoulders relaxed with every passing moment.
His eyes moved down to the slowing movement of your chest. He watched as the bubbles created by the jets comes to rest on your breasts.
Both of your heads snap to the door as it opens, two American Men enter the room with a case of beer in hand.
“You two min if we join you?” You shake your head and take another sip from your dwindling glass.
“We don’t mind. Yous can join us!” You wave them over, shifting on your knees and turning to refill your glass.
Baek’s hand hovers over your ass, blocking the perfect view from the two men.
I was enjoying the moment that we were sharing. As long as she is happy, I’ll tolerate them.
You turn to sit back down, this time pushing yourself closer to Baek.
Baek bumps his leg into yours and raises his arm to rest behind you on top of the hot tub.
Both men enter the hot tub across from you both.
Baek notices both of them staring at his arm placed behind you.
You’re off limits.
“My name’s Tyler, this is my bud, Alex.” You reply with your name.
Baek is too focused on analyzing the two men to notice your light nudge, attempting to cue your boss to introduce himself.
The first man, Tyler, sits in front of Baek. His hair is long, unkept, which goes for the rest of his body hair.
If it wasn’t for his okay physique, clean teeth, and trimmed nails, Baek would have assumed him to be homeless.
Alex, the blond man sitting in front of you, has yet to take his eyes off of you. More specifically, you chest.
Baek quickly assess the man’s physique, height, and probable weight.
None of that matters. Baek would easily dominate the fight without his powers.
You slap Baek’s chest, sending him a light glare.
“Be nice and introduce yourself.”
“Name’s Baek.” He grunts, shifting the hand that lays behind you to hold your neck.
Your glossy eyes look up to your boss, questioning why he would be touching you.
He answers your silent question by massaging his thumb and fingers into the tight tendons in your neck.
To you, your boss is simply doing something nice.
To Baek, he was telling the two men that you were taken. It may not be by him, but those are lines he’ll address later.
You converse with the two men about where they live in the United States. The conversation flowed to the convention, which is why they were there. Tyler and Alex were weapons engineers for a guild within the States. You mentioned your reason for being here is the same.
“Mr. Baek here is the chairman of the White Tiger Guild in Korea!” You smiled, gesturing to your boss.
Both men finally take in Baek. Their eyes rake in the prime physique and intimidating stare they’re receiving.
“Well, that explains the accent.”
“The fuck is that supposed to mean?” Baek growls at Alex, both men look like they’re going to fight.
Not if you can help it. You came back to your home country to get away from that toxic environment. You were not going to let it ruin your relaxing evening.
You down the rest of the wine in your glass.
Before another word can cut through the thick atmosphere, your hand grips on to your boss’ thigh.
“Well, my wine just ran out. I think it’s time to go to bed.” The only acknowledgement you receive is a short huff from your boss.
Both men were at a standstill.
Tyler finally comes to his senses and tries to coax Alex out of a fight.
You huff and roll your eyes. The alcohol in your system is clouding your judgement.
At least, that what you tell yourself when you remember your next actions tomorrow morning.
Your hand moves further up your boss’ thigh, too cloth to something entirely off limits.
Your nails dig into Baek’s bottoms, indenting the flesh of his thigh.
The hand on your neck squeezes in response, but Baek’s eyes are still locked on Alex.
With your back turned, your on your knees again, setting the empty glass down. Baek’s hand drops from your neck and falls dangerously low on your back. His finders play with the band of your bottoms.
You take Baek’s jaw with one hand and tangle your other hand into the nape of his hair. You turn Baek’s face so he looks at you, his pupils blown.
“We’re leaving. Now.” Your hands clench with emphasis of your last word. The pressure of your nails creating crescents on Baek’s skin.
You finally get a huff and a head nod from your boss.
As you crawl out of the hot tub, Baek stands to block the view of your ass from the two men. Tyler and Alex are in a very passionate and hushed conversation.
You hand a clean towel to Baek, your towel already wrapped around your shoulders.
You quickly clean up your items and throw on your coverup. The less amount of time Baek stays in the presence of those two men, especially Alex, the better.
You lead Baek out of the pool room, to the elevator, and eventually to your rooms.
Baek offers a gruff goodnight before shutting himself in his room
Rude.
You dispose of your wine bottle and place the glass on the TV stand. After hanging up your bikini and a quick shower, you tuck yourself into bed.
The heat pooling between your thighs was hard to ignore. The protectiveness, borderline possessiveness, that your boss displayed tonight was a total turn on.
I will not masturbate to my boss.
You fall into a restless sleep.
Yoonho Baek found himself in a similar predicament.
The cold water ran over his back as he glared daggers at his painfully erect dick.
His brain couldn’t stop playing back how good your body felt, the heat of your skin as he held you in front of the two men. Abet, it wasn’t for long, but the heat of your skin still lingers on his hand.
Baek’s fish slams against the wall of the shower when he remembered how you slowly drug your hand up his thigh and squeezed. You didn’t know how dangerously closer you had been to his growing erection.
With a sigh, Baek grips his cock with his hand.
Just this once.
Baek cums quickly, popping his knot. White hot streams of his cum pain the wall of the shower. He hates the annoying voice in the back of his head. He hates to waste his cum, especially when he should be pumping it into you, his knot locking it in place.
Yoonho Baek barely sleeps that night. Thoughts of you in scandalous positions plague his dreams.
Neither you nor Baek were aware of the silent figure lurking outside of your rooms.
Waiting.
Salking.
Preying for the moment to strike.

JEALOUS
A/n: Yall. S2, EP 12 ... BIG TIME love and thanks to everyone involved in making that episode truly a SPECTACULAR~!
This however was inspired by ep 9 and 10 but of course this is its own thing.
Jealous!Jinwoo x Fem!Adult!Reader (ft Baek and Choi)
CW: Jealous Jinwoo and kinda reader too, reader got self doubt issues, petnames, angst, hurt/comfort, brief isekai and self awarness mentioned, LADS cameo, plus steamy stuff implied at the end.
NO REPOSTS, TRANSLATIONS, PLAGIARISM, AGELESS BLOGS AND AI USE WITH MY FAN WORKS ALLOWED. Reblogs likes and follows to support my fan works are allowed pls n thnx.

Eyeing gorgeous illustrations or animated shows filled to the brim with breathtaking characters you could only dream of meeting let alone befriending your whole life was the closest you had gotten to it.
Starting anew in Korea gave way to you seeing sights that you never believed you'd ever get to view in person.
Especially in the world of hunters, D&D becoming the new norm of your day to day.
But you were hit on all for kicks to the jokesters, regardless of your hurt emotions from the mockery and cat calls.
Too bad for them, though.
They were nearly extinguished from existence from the one that did take your feelings seriously into account from the moment your eyes connect.
That being your beloved Jinwoo.
In public, he's calm, cool and collected when out with you. But any and every single unfortunate individual that dares attempt to seduce you, never ends well for them. Only your overprotective jealous Monarch has the privilege of doing so.
Today was no exception.
Mr. Go Gunhee, the head of the Hunters Association, wished to meet Jinwoo on some business at the Hunters Gym. Only to be offered to participate in an S-rank training session.
The aura farmer that is your Jinwoo.
The very same one whose agile movements, swift like speed, and high level instincts aided in his perception of the situation. You rarely get to see Jinwoo in training let alone sparring as is.
Seated on the sidelines as you watched the free for all of him against several S-ranks to test how far he has come. That is, with you in the Hunters gym, he knew going all out could potentially put you at risk.
You were both surprised you could stay, barely being swept up in S-tier brawls as is.
But you weren't worried. Rather, you were narrowed in on Jinwoo's thick heavyweight black sweatshirt riding up as he swerved through Lim Tae-Gyu's rain shower of arrows, revealing those sculpted muscles along his abdomen. Those light gray spray painted cargo pants hugged his long legs in all the best ways as he clashed kicks with Cha Hae-In, especially for his well crafted ass clenching in response. His ebony wavy locks twinkled with sheen as he worked up a sweat flying through the air while running along the giant sized Ma Dongwook swinging his arms about.
Those eyes of Jinwoo's blazed from the combat high as he stole glances at you now and then, widening at how raptured you were at his prowess; despite holding back for your safety, gave him such a prideful boost as his lips curled smugly before easily knocking Ma back from landing right on his forehead.
“Are you alright?” That deep baritone voice drew you out of your wandering mind of dreams suffocating your faint hearted self. The sweaty bare chested man that is Baek Yoonhoo walking up to you from the main hallway. Your face burned at how impressive the guild master of the White Tiger guild looked up close. His own sheen made his muscles really pop out.
“Yeah. Just lost in thought.” Tremors leaked in your pronunciation for your heart raced at sensing piercing eyes aimed right at you and they weren't Baek's.
With the fluffy towel wrapped around his thick veiny neck, he started wiping away the sweat trailing along his sharp face when his curious sharp toothed smile of his gave your insides somersaults. “Quite a heated match here. Hunter Sung is putting on quite the show for you.”
“Oh I wouldn't put it like that …” The unsure awkward drawl you left off on got him raising a brow at your self conscious behavior. Glowing eyes narrowed in suspicion, within your Shadow and from afar. “I would have liked to see you take part though.”
Baek sheepishly chuckled, hints of red dusting his chiseled cheeks. “While I appreciate it, I admit my very best isn't enough to reach his level though —”
Perception works both ways.
Chewing the inside of his cheek as he got nearly socked in the face was Jinwoo's best way of keeping his growls subdued, hearing exchanged word for word through your linked shadows.
“The Beast being humble, how quaint.” The teasing lilt in the new voice joining in nabbed you threes’ attention. “So, you're the lucky lady that has our newest S-rank wrapped around their finger.”
The sly charming smile of the guild master of the Hunters Guild, Choi Jong-in, got you kind of weary.
“I'm surprised Hunter Sung is willing to participate in this little match. Then again, Hunter Cha has spoken nothing but praise of him as of late. She's quite taken by him.”
The rush of clashing against his opponent suddenly became second in Jinwoo's spirit, the shock of Choi's seed of doubt placed in your mind sends the strands of envy intertwining with rage.
Baek bit out, jabbing his irksome rival in the ribs with that hefty elbow of his, those crimson eyes heatedly glaring in reply. “Way to show tact, jackass. Pay his words no mind, Ms. L/n.”
The crumpled frown you couldn't suppress despite Baek's advice grew, spotting the pair now engaging in close combat. Even from far away you could imagine that same longing mystique in her gaze that'd be on par with yours. All for Jinwoo. And only him.
But with his back facing you, you couldn't quite see his beautiful, familiar face. Nor his glowing eyes matching the mana visually seeping out of his twitching fingertips; his tolerance running thin.
“Forgive me for my insensitivity. Anyone foolish enough to let such a rare gem slip from their grasp is the true fool. That said,” Choi's amicable smile still made such mixed feelings stir in your nerve wracked cage, even as he took your hand graciously. "It's truly a pleasure to meet you, my dear.”
Baek clicked his tongue. “Putting the moves on her won't win you any favors.”
Choi's calm demeanor cracked. “Says the married man that approached her first.”
The taller of the two butted heads with the smaller one, literally. “I'm not the one actively hitting on a taken woman, genius!”
“Gentlemen, there's no need to fight!” Being the center of attention in the midst of a developing brawl got your nerves wracked.
Perception works both ways, indeed.
The baring fangs and the flames sparking at the fingertips get blown away by the thick smog of imposing aura that curtains you from behind in an instant. His musky sweaty scent reeled you back, those firm hands squeezing your hip bones quite needily. Everyone's shadows rippled from the King making his presence known.
“I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't fill my angel's head with such delusions anymore, Hunter Choi.” Jinwoo’s minatory words irked the latter just as it terrified them both. Especially when your love's voice warped to match that of an inhuman entity. “Implying I'd leave her for another is unforgivable.”
Spotting Hae-In from out of the corner of your eye, her downtrodden eyes full of ache at her lovelorn self made you toil in pity yet taking twisted pleasure in it.
Auras stoked like bonfires at this confrontation, the experienced hunters glowing eyes widened in alarm from the endless well Jinwoo's own mana emanated.
“You can have your little quarrel elsewhere … unless you rather join me in a spar of our own to settle this dispute.” The eerie smirk on Jinwoo's face startled both men, garnering the other hunters concern of the potential clash, knowing their newest addition could level the entire area and more if pushed too far —
“Jin.” Your voice calling out his name calmed the raging storm inside, him softening at those lovestruck eyes of yours. “It's okay.” He felt your form slowly calming down, growing more slackened against his warm self.
His snugly arms coiled around your frame, humming deeply, before firmly pecking your forehead. “Sorry for keeping you waiting, sweetheart~” That honey dripping tone he purred in your ear had you trembling, a stark contrast from his earlier behavior. “I hope you enjoyed my performance though~” His fingers pinched the plush area above your hips, drawing jumpy squeals out of you, his genuine grin popping out in response to your precious light. “Shall we get going, then?” Your nod of approval gets him squeezing you tighter. “Sorry gentlemen. Next time, then. Shadow Exchange.” The shades of night enveloped you as you were still in his grasp, taking you with him. A shadow soldier took its lieges’ place before vanishing itself in black wisps.
Back in the comfort of your shared place, Jinwoo gave you another forehead kiss before excusing himself to go shower.
Your muscles flared as chronic body pains were your crutch. Laying on your tummy on your shared bed, you spent a good while on your phone, chasing your earlier strifes away by playing the newest 3D otome game straight outta China that had you joining the many other starved ladies out there.
Whether the time traveler, the doctor, the merman, the dragon, or the colonel, you were having a hell of a time.
Lost in the addiction of mobile gameplay, you fail to detect the halt of the shower head running nor the adjoining bathroom door opening up with his silhouette in the frame, drying his wet hair, spotting you smiling at your digital boy toy.
The predatory growl from above that came with a heavy body carefully pinning you beneath his bare torso got your attention finally. Long lithe hands easily pried your phone out of your grasp, scraping his thumb only for your CG favorite calling out to you.
“How dare you steal my angel from me, bastard?” Such a low primal growl, his flashing eyes reflecting on your screen in that moment.
“Jin, it's just a game.” You murmured.
Tossing your phone gingerly a bit away from you both along your plush comforter, he leans off you just to roll you on your back, gulping at how quickly his eyes darkened. His own sheen marbled bode replaces that of Baek's in your mind's eye, slowly heaving those plush pecs and smooth abs dotted by droplets that added to the attractiveness.
“One that's nabbed your attention elsewhere. And after earlier today, all I want now is all your affection.” His coy grin grew as your hands already brushed those drops away while feeling the muscles beneath. “Like so~”
“You know I love you.”
“And the other way around?” He takes handfuls of the comforter around both sides of your head as he lowers down slowly enough until he drapes over your being, his seabreeze body lotion scenting his skin, his sweatpants hanging loosely by those peaking out hips as he pinned yours in between, his face now a hair's breadth away. “You're not the only person alive plagued with jealousy.”
“Master Baek is happily married and Master Choi isn't much my type so —”
“He crossed a line today.” His rumbling grunt cut those words in half.
“Miss Cha still really likes you. Even before I came along.” Your sad accepting smile aches him even more.
“She's just as much a comrade as she is my friend. But I turned her down because I met you.”
“I'm no S class hunter, though. Nor a mighty vessel of power. I don't have much to offer as a hopeless human.” The self-inflicted seeds of doubt were an ongoing problem you still struggle with, more than ever now.
Your choked up vulnerability pulled at his heart strings. Tears trailed sideways from your eyes, wetting the cloth, to which his thumbs immediately rubbed against your already reddening gaze. “You're my passion.” Your fangirling escapades into your interests always grabbed his intrigue. “My inspiration.” You became his biggest reason to making the world a less cruel place for you both. “My heart.”
“And you're my strength.” His humble sweetness earned him your trust. “My courage.” Witnessing his strength amiss his conquests swooned you over. “My angel.”
The shower of yearning kisses littered every inch of your face, your smile now one of relieving joy. Those velvety lips of his suddenly trailed down to your neck, bringing forth shuddering gasps and breathy moans outta you.
“In this version of the story, you've become my light.” The sharp deep bites he began marking all over your neck brought forth such burning longing in you, already wringing through his wet silk hair, keeping him as close as possible. “You have yourself to blame.” His heated breath meets your collarbone before he suckles there until red blemishes decorate it.
“Pardonne-moi?” You quipped naively.
“Your stubborn little self wormed your way into my life. Can't let you be in the company of another man vying for your hand, now can I?”
Tapping his shoulders, you get him to look up at your blushing beautiful self.
“You've filled my every thought, every wish, and every dream from the moment I met you.” Cradling his face in your hands, diving into those endless pools of gray and blue wonder. The plethora of feelings mere simple words cannot come close to truly representing them still retain a chokehold on you but you still try. “I want only you, Jinwoo. Forever.”
You felt his smile against your chest before he crawled up to finally devour that achingly intoxicating mouth of yours.
“Y/n, I'm incomplete without you.” He breathed between breaks. “I know you inside and out.” This feverish makeout got steamy real quick. “Your personal taste, your darkest desires, your type.” Traversing familiar smoldering caverns, tongues clashing for dominance, both of you starving for each other's essence. “You're stuck with me, you naive tease.”
“Likewise, you farming Player.” Your otherworldly knowledge still astounds him to this day.
His dark chuckle got your spine shivering with excitement.
“Going all out would have been another story entirely.” The towel draped around his neck gets tugged off. “I'd let you and only you be my audience for that.” You're puddy in his hold as his other hand gingerly took both yours. “To prove how I alone am the only one worthy to be yours.” Binding your hands above your head with his towel. “For the rest of eternity.”
His hand wandered down your goosebumped arms, brushing your hair before tenderly cupping your already nuzzling cheek, his thumb teasing your bottom bruised lip, and his tongue licked his own in anticipation.
“Now then, my Y/n, we have a long night ahead of us …” Straddling your hips, you already felt his crotch needily brushing up against your own. “Enough to have every inch of you mine for the taking.”
His half lidded eyes glowed again, his other hefty hand resting over right where your racing heart was, beating for him. And only him.
“Shall we~?”
Hearts filled his eyes as did yours for his jealousy is on par with yours.
“Lets.”

Blushes when you compliment her, pink will dust her cheeks as she fires back one at you. If you kiss her cheeks? Steam will start to come out from her head.
Matching. Outfits. Loves to subtly match outfits with you when you go out or when you train together.
Her love language is acts of service. She won't say "I love you" constantly — but she’ll sharpen your blades, cook your meals, and hold your hand when you're nervous
She takes pride whenever you achieve something that you worked hard for, rooting and hyping you up in her quiet and most sincere way.
Did you know? She humms while cooking. You two would be up late cooking something and she would humm a song to you while you steal some kisses and some food. (I love my girl)
Baek Yoonho
This man is soft towards you, so so gentle whenever he is affectionate with you, almost afraid to break you at first.
He is big on physical affection, he's a hand holder but what can he say? He loves the feeling of his big hand over yours.
He absolutely loves when you wear his clothes, he pretends to be cool about it, pretend is the key word.
You swore you once heard him purr while you two were cuddling, if you bring it up he will deny it while going redder and redder
Would love if you went training with him, he even throw in some little extra flex, feeling smug about it.
Woo Jongin
Another gift giver, especially if they match his jewelry. One or two of his golden rings with mysteriously disappear from his fingers and casually take place on yours.
He’s not the type to be loud about pubblic affection, but he always has a hand on your lower back, your shoulder, or brushes your fingers when walking next to you.
If you two have different jobs expect late night phone call, his job may keep him busy until late but when it does he never forgets to call you to say goodnight.
He smiles for you a lot, and not the smug smile he reserves for the media. I mean the soft, warm, and a little shy smile, like you’re his safe place.
Loves when you fix his tie or brush something off his shoulder — he’ll freeze a little and then softly thank you as he nuzzle into your cheek to kiss it.

In hindsight, Yoonho supposed he really should have figured it out sooner. Byungyu’s distaste for battle wasn’t new, but the desire to join the contract sector as an average citizen was new, one he didn’t expect. The man’s financial situation was elite. He had participated in enough dungeons that he had a very lucrative bank account. He didn’t have to do anything. Though Yoonho supposed he couldn’t blame the man for wanting to do something with his life, though why he didn’t choose to go into the medical field was, well, confusing.
When his best friend had denied him the first few times, it was understandable. Jeju Island had already claimed so many lives, including their best friends, but something had suddenly changed his mind. Yoonho didn’t think anything of it; he was just happy to have the talented healer with them. He should have asked more questions.
“President Baek, exactly how much did you know about Min Byungyu’s situation?” Chairman Go had asked shortly after the fourth and final raid of Jeju Island.
He should have been paying more attention, but his chest ached with grief, and his muscles were sore. Hunter Sung had managed to heal them somehow, but nothing could take away the stinging in his hands when his claws protruded. All he wanted to do was go home and crack a beer, and sit in the silence of his empty apartment he never had the time to fill with personal effects. He wanted to wallow in pity and self-hatred until a new day dawned and he had to go back to his guild and act like everything was ok; worse, to celebrate the enormous victory.
“I’m not sure I understand what you mean, sir. He wanted to give up being a hunter all together and go work as a custodian in an office firm,” Yoonho had explained.
The look the Chairman had given him was diplomatic, but there was a twinge of something, perhaps sorrow, hidden behind his eyes. Yoonho had glanced up at Manager Jinchul Woo who was dutifully standing behind the chairman, but as always, the man was more difficult to read than thousand-year-old hieroglyphics written in decayed clay.
“So you weren’t aware of his private and personal life?” Chairman Go asked, sounding surprised.
There was another thing to be guilty over. He called himself Byungyu’s best friend, but he apparently didn’t know anything at all about him! He’d only ever been to the man’s apartment once, and he’d since moved. He hadn’t set foot in the new, larger place. He didn’t interact with the man all that much anymore, except for the occasional text, which was usually Byungyu sending him memes he’d respond to three days later. There was the occasional beer, but Yoonho had been so depressed after losing Eunseok in the third raid that he’d let Byungyu slip farther and farther from his mind.
“Well, regardless,” Chairman Go sighed, seemingly disappointed. Even Jinchul seemed to be uncomfortable now, shifting his weight from one foot to the other restlessly. “We have a… less than comfortable task to handle. Typically, I’d send Jinchul, but he has been… hugged out… for a while and needs a break, plus he isn’t always as delicate as this situation requires.”
Yoonho wished the old man would get to the point so he could go home. He glanced up at Jinchul, who didn’t seem to care that he’d been called indelicate. Yoonho doubted there was anything about him that was delicate at all. And hugged out? What was that supposed to mean?
As Yoonho was waiting for the chairman to finish his long-winded explanation, Jinchul disappeared, stepping out of the room to grab something off his desk before returning, holding a small, white box.
“As you know, upon awakening, we take a memento from every Hunter to deliver back to the family of a fallen Hunter. Byungyu’s token was changed two years ago from a patch from his uniform, a typical token for a bachelor, into this.”
As Chairman Go finished, Jinchul opened the white box. Resting inside, on a white cushion, was a silver locket with a silver chain. There was something engraved upon the top, but Yoonho didn’t feel like using his heightened sight to strain to read it.
“He has asked that this locket be delivered to the widow he’d be leaving behind, and we thought you should be the one to do it.”
The fact that his best friend was married and he had no clue was another punch to the gut, but what’s perhaps worse was thinking about the grieving woman in their apartment, waiting for her husband to come home. She would know that their helicopter had landed. She’d know that they’d won. She probably wouldn’t know about Byungyu’s death yet. The camera had evidently cut out by then. And now…
“Sir… respectfully… I can’t…” he mumbled, already feeling numb.
Chairman Go pulled something out of his pocket and placed it in Yoonho’s hands. It was a letter, folded a few times on otherwise unremarkable paper. As Yoonho unfolded it, his hands shaking, he gasped as he found Byungyu’s handwriting scribbled as neatly as the man could.
Yoonho, If you’re reading this letter, I can only assume it is because something happened and I have lost my life. First of all, don’t beat yourself up about it. Whatever happened, I’m sure I went out trying to protect my friends, and there is no better way in my book. However, now that I am gone, I am leaving you with a difficult task. I am sorry this has fallen to you. I have a wife. Her name is (y/n). She pieced me back together after Eunseok’s death, and we got married a year later. I know this is a bomb to drop, and I tried to tell you, many times, but neither of us were in a good state at the beginning and as you feel deeper and deeper into your guild, using the work to keep you from actually feeling the sorrow, I moved on, and I didn’t think you’d understand. Yoonho, being a Hunter is hard work and it’s messy. I have never regretted my decision to leave, but if something has pulled me back in, I know I died happily for you. Do not let my death pull you into another depression. This one might kill you. You were reckless enough as it is. I am not mad at you for however you pulled me back into the game. Do not let your mind convince your heart that I am. And don’t throw yourself into your work to punish yourself. That’s not doing anyone any favors. Instead, you can atone for my death (if you still feel like you need to) in two ways. Take the locket and a letter back to my Jimin. Tell her how I died, she needs to know everything. Comfort her. She worries a lot and has habits similar to your own. Don’t let her kill herself through her work. Be there for each other. Stop trying to take the blame for everyone else's decisions. We all make our own. You have never forced anyone to do anything. We make decisions based on your words sometimes, but they are still our decisions. Stop letting yourself be convinced that you’re a god who mind-controls everyone else into doing your bidding. Everything I have ever done has been of my own volition. I wish you the best in this life, Yoonho. Don’t be afraid to let yourself live life and find love. Hunters are constantly busy, but you can have it all. You can be a Hunter and a life. It’s time for them to stop being one in the same. I will see you on the other side, my friend. Love, Byungyu
The letter had tears pricking to the corners of his eyes and he finally understood the smile Byungyu had given him as Jinwoo had released his shadow. He clenched the letter tightly as looked up at the chairman, only nodding once. He’d watched as Chairman Go fished out the second letter and then he was dismissed, locket and letter tucked inside the same box in his shaking hands as he made his way to the car and punched in the address he’d been given.
So here he was, standing in the hallway of the apartment building he’d been directed to, staring at the plain white door that matched all the others, reading the number from Jinchul’s text for the third time to be absolutely sure he was at the right door.
He could hear movement inside and music. There was the occasional clang of something hard slamming into something else that almost made his skin crawl. He wanted to cut tail and run, to pretend this wasn’t happening, but his arm seemed to act on its own as it raised and knocked firmly.
The music stopped and he could hear bare feet padding across the floor to the door, his ears picking the sound up easily. He heard the door unlock, and a second later, it was pulled open, revealing his best friend's widow dressed in sweatpants and a stained t-shirt.
“Baek Yoonho?” your voice was full of confusion. He couldn’t blame you.
“You know who I am?” he asked.
“Of course,” you said, wiping your soapy hands on your pants. “Gyu has so many pictures of you and Eunseok all over this place. It sometimes feels like a shrine,” you chuckle softly.
“How can I help you? Is Gyu ok? He hasn’t come home yet and by the look of you, you all just got back.”
“Can I come inside?” Yoonho spoke, voice soft.
“Uh yeah sure,” you hold the door open wider.
He stepped through, admiring the place. The door opened into the front room, living room, where there was a paused Spotify playlist casting from the television. There were slightly mismatched couches pointed at the television, the longer of the two was a thick, plush burnt orange, and the other, smaller one gray with a blanket thrown over the back of it. There was a coffee table with books stacked up on one side and a vase with a handful of roses on the other side. As you led him to the couches, he could see the kitchen from a serving counter window with three bar stools on the end. Inside the kitchen, he could see a strainer full of wet dishes and the sink full of soapy water with a washcloth perched on the side, likely discarded when he’d knocked.
You motioned for him to sit on the orange couch while you sat down on the gray one, folding your hands into your lap and looking at him expectantly.
Yoonho’s hands began to shake, and the box in his pocket suddenly felt like it was scorching his skin. He clasped his hands together, trying to hide the way they quavered.
“Mr. Baek… Where is my husband?” Your voice was quiet, but his accelerated hearing could pick up on the way it cracked on the final word.
“He…” Yonho had to clear his throat and blink away the tears that threatened to gather. “He didn’t make it… He died… trying to protect me,” his voice came out hoarse and broken in a half-choked sob.
You were quiet momentarily, processing what he’d just said. When you finally spoke, your voice was strong but uneven.
“Did he suffer?”
Yoonho tried to think back. Had he? When he saw that things arm go through him… all he could see was blind rage.
“Not for long. It was over quickly. But he managed…” he swallowed. Should he tell you that his soul saved someone? No. Probably not. And he promised Jinwoo to keep that confidential anyway. “He managed to save one more life before… he was truly gone.”
He looked up into your face. You had silent tears streaming down your cheeks and made no move to brush them away. Your bottom lip trembled, and your chest heaved with labored breathing.
“I’m not sure if you’re aware… but when becoming a Hunter under the Association, they provide the Association a token in the event they don’t make it back from a raid. This was his,” reaching into his pocket, Yoonho pulled out the box and opened it, placing it on the coffee table.
You took out the letter on top first and, using his abilities, if against his will, he was able to read the message her husband had left for her.
My Love, If you are reading this, I have left you alone in this life and in this world and for that, I am truly sorry. Please understand that if I died in a raid, it was because I will always be there to back up Yoonho and to protect him from himself. He isn’t the best at patiently waiting for the right time to strike, and if no one else is there to back him up when he pounces, I will always be there. Yoonho scoffed at that. ‘Pounces.’ He wasn’t a cat! He didn’t pounce! Please understand and don’t hate him for it. It was not his fault. Let him be there for you. You’re going to need to lean on each other. Don’t let the grief drag you down. And don’t let him blame himself. You both meant so much to me. Know that though I died protecting him in battle, I died protecting you back home. I could not go on living without you and I know that is unfair since that is exactly what I am asking of you. Be strong and move on. Don’t let my death hold you back from living your life. We will-
You put the letter down before Yoonho could finish reading and buried your face in your hands to cover the wails that left your lips. Yoonho wasn’t sure what came over him. Maybe it was Byungyu’s letter to him, maybe it was the fact that he’d always hated seeing women cry. Whatever the reason, he found himself moving onto the gray couch beside you and placing his hand on your back, stroking it soothingly. He wasn’t expecting you to lean into him, burying your face in his side. It took him a second to respond, but when he did, he held you against his side securely and continued to rub your back.
You sat like that for a while. You sobbing and Yoonho comforting you in any way he knew how. When your shoulders finally stopped shaking, and you shifted against him, he loosened his hold, allowing you to sit back up. Your eyes were red and bloodshot, but you looked back to the table where the box with the locket still sat.
Picking up the box, you examined it before lifting it out of the box and opening the locket. There, resting in the two tiny frames, was a picture of Byungyu giving his most dazzling smile, dressed in his Hunter’s uniform with dirt stained on his cheek. It was an image taken shortly after the first raid under the White Tiger’s guild. The second was you and Byungyu holding onto one another on your wedding day, looking at each other with gazes full of love.
A sob left your throat as you closed the locket and passed the necklace to Yoonho.
“Help me put it on,” you said.
Taking it, you turned your back to him and lifted your hair. Yoonho slid the locket around your neck and carefully clasped it in the back. When it was secure, you let your hair fall over the chain and looked down at the jewelry resting on your shirt.
“Now I guess I have two tokens from him,” you whispered.
Yoonho was going to ask what you meant until he watched you place your hand on your belly, a sad smile spreading across your face. Yoonho had never felt so sick.

Business Relations (Yoonho Baek, Jong-In Choi)
Kinktober 2024 Day Twenty-One: Sexual Favors
𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚? ⇒ 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩
𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧?
𝙗𝙪𝙮 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚?
They won’t talk about the latest Jeju Island Raid. At least, not in front of you.
You’ve heard echoes of their arguments from behind closed doors. It seemed to be all they could speak about and around whenever Guild Master Choi would have Guild Master Baek over. You couldn’t hear everything, no matter how hard you tried to listen in. And for what little you were able to pick up, you couldn’t quite hear everything as perfectly as you wished. But you had a funny feeling you knew what was being discussed between your boss and the White Tiger’s leader. You had a funny feeling you knew what all those steely tones and harsh hisses were all about whenever they would disappear from behind office doors with no so much as a secretary to take notes.
But you know it’s none of your business. You know you’re just Guild Master Choi’s little assistant. You know you’re just lucky that no one you personally knew or was connected to died or got hurt during any of the Jeju Island raids. You know you’re just happy that the worst parts of your job involve late nights at the office and coffee runs even when the weather is bad. Because you’re not expected to risk your life for the good of the world around you. You’re not expected to fight on tirelessly, taking a job that very few are able to do. You certainly aren’t paid for it, at least. But then again…
“I remember when you could barely fit past the tip in your mouth. Now look at you- letting me into your throat without asking twice.”
You’re not exactly getting paid for this either.
A soft noise escapes your throat as your eyes flicker upward at the man in front of you momentarily, holding his gaze for a moment. In front of you is the famous Yoon-ho Baek. One of the strongest hunters in all of the country. A force to be reckoned with. Someone to behold. But he was also a man who used to be almost too ashamed to touch you with his wedding ring on. In the same way, he was just a man who couldn’t help but admit to you on more than one occasion that he likes it when you make eye contact whenever you choke on his dick because it gives him the perfect view of your eyes as they water and your lips as they struggle.
And now? He’s just a man, who is currently sitting pleasantly on a couch in your boss’s office with his slacks and underwear around his ankles and his cock stuffed in your mouth.
“You’re so good for me, aren’t you?” Yoon-ho muses quietly as you continue to bob your head up and down around his dick while he held your hair back and away from your face. It gave him the ability to control how much of you took of him and when like this. But he was always fair outside of a few moments of passion. He never forgot his massive size. He never forgot the way how your lips always had to struggle to stretch around his impressively girthy length. He never forgot how you still do have a day job outside of this. But you managed to keep up with the way he would shove his cock down deep down your throat and hold it there for as long as you could. You managed to keep up just fine.
Because of his point, and your credit, you have gotten better at this.
You used to not know a thing about giving head. You used to use too many teeth. You used to not know how to start. Where to focus on. How to let yourself breathe through your nose while reserving your mouth for whoever wants to stick their cock in it. But being the assistant to one of the top Guilds in all of the country had some nice perks. Including having a nice, caring, doting boss. Who would always keep pushing you harder and harder and harder until doing things like filing documents and sucking cock came almost too easily to you. After all, the point of a nice job like this was to teach you important skills that you can use at almost any other position?
“I train them well,” Your boss pipes in a second later with a light chuckle, almost as if he was reading your mind. He’s not too far away at the moment. Though, it wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense if he were far away right now. How else would be able to wrap your fist around his long, pretty cock and jerk him off as he utters pointers on how to take better take care of the other man sitting right next to him. “There are…many…perks to having someone like this so close by, right sweetheart?”
You moan a little at the sound of your name being called so adoringly. The praise goes right through your body, causing you to shiver. At the same time, you could hear Yoon-ho groan lowly, as he let his appreciation for the way your throat vibrated for a second around his cock show with an appreciative hand stroking your cheek.
It serves as a reminder- just like the pet names and gifts your boss will shower you with when no one is looking- that you’re a good employee. You’re his good employee. All because you’re good to them. You’re no hunter. It’s not your place to risk your life. It’s not even your place to listen in on conversations about times when they have had to risk their lives. And frankly, personal assistants like you can come as a dime a dozen. But to them, you’re still a good employee. You’re still the best employee. Your boss lets you know that. Yoon-ho lets you know that. And they never let you forget that either.
Just like they never let you forget what got you into this exact position in the first place.
Naturally, it was Guild Master Choi’s (or rather, just Jong-In's as he insists on you calling him after the umpteenth time you swallowed down his cum with a smile) idea to offer you up as a little peace offering the one time after he noticed things getting a little tense between him and the other man following the third Jeju Island Raid. It was hard to be productive whenever conversations started to delve into thinly veiled insults of each other’s skill and leadership abilities. But your boss also noticed that it was hard for them to be productive whenever Yoon-ho found himself in the same room as you. It was hard to ignore the stares or the subtle touches. It was even harder to ignore the constant job offers Yoon-ho would send you way with a promise that he could “take care of you better than Jong-In ever could.”
Your boss never let you entertain those words seriously. You were, after all, very important to him. That is what he would say all the time. That you were very important to him. That he didn’t want to be without you. That he didn’t want you falling into the wrong hands. So instead, he settled on a compromise. One that you were probably too eager to jump to. One that he already knew well in advance that you would agree to. Because naturally, you were already doing the same for him behind closed doors.
So was it really that crazy that your boss wanted you to get on your knees for another man for the sake of “business relations” when things got tough? Was it really that crazy at all?

Omg, we're two idiots (Baek Yoonho x Gn reader Fluff)
Request: Nope
Pairing: Baek Yoonho x Gn reader
Synopsis: What a better moment to express feelings when one of you got hurt during a raid
Tw: Slight angst but really not that much.
Notes: Two fanfics about him? Yes. I just hope you gonna like it. I felt that the end is rushed (i'm so sorry about this)
Tag list: @pepsicanvsfantacan

“You fucking idiot.”
As a A-Rank Hunter, it’s your job to be in very dangerous situation. But right now, you don’t know what is more dangerous between a high-risk dungeon and Baek Yoonho in front of you, with a stare that can only be described as murderous.
The two of you are been friend for a long time, became hunters at the same time in the Fiend Guild and you followed Baek Yoonho when he decided to found the White Tiger Guild. You were in charge of helping/training the new recruit in the low-ranking dungeon and as often as you could you would join for high-ranking one.
A dungeon opened and your guild had to clear it as fast as you can with other hunters. Everything went smoothly until the boss room. Even if you beat the monster, it was a difficult combat and you closed the dungeon with some injuries, one bigger than the others.
Thankfully, healers were here and with no time, you were good to go again. What you did not expect was for Yoonho to come right at you when you let the others heal everyone else. Slowly pulling you aside, you can see in his eyes a mix of emotions but murder is the main one. You smiled at him sheepishly:
“It was not that bad…just a scratch, you know?”
“A scratch? Don’t fool me Y/n, I saw your wound before it was healed and you can’t call it “just” a scratch.” He said, hardening his stare.
You did not understand his reaction. Yes, Baek Yoonho, is known for always protecting his guild members but he never loses his control like that when someone get hurt.
“Yoonho, I’m fine okay, I got hit, it sucks but it is part of the job. Now, if you excuse me, I need to go home and change so I’m not in my bloody armor anymore.”
It was not like you to snap at him like that but you were tired and the only thing that you wanted was to take a shower, not to argue with your best friend.
--evening--
As your guild master, Baek needed to stay professional but he can’t help letting his head take over when it’s you. When he saw that you were injured pretty badly, the only thing in his mind was to murder the already dead creature in the dungeon. He knows that you are strong, he saw it with his own eyes during multiple raids but seeing his most important person getting hurt was not something he planned today.
For him, you were more than a friend but he kept his feeling for himself, not wanting to break your long-time friendship. Being with you is more than enough for him, however, it became more and more complicated to hide those feeling, especially of something bad is happening to you (like today).
Looking out through the window, he was replaying the moment over and over in his head and exhaled. He acted like a prick to you because of his own worries and emotions. he really needs to apologize. How could he continue if you were not by his side because of what he did, it is a bit overdramatic of him but he didn’t care, he was the one in the wrong here. He quicky took his phone and typed quickly a message before leaving the Guild HQ.
*At your house*
The shower did miracle to your tired body and mind, making you think about what happened with Yoonho today. You shouldn’t have used the tone you had when you left him. He was just worried about your well being like every guild master and that’s it. Writing a note in your head to apologize tomorrow, at the same moment, you heard your phone’s ring for receiving a notification: 2 messages from “Tiger”
Y/n, can we meet up? I want to talk
Same bar as usual.
Speaking of the devil, smiling slightly, you texted back an “okay” and prepare yourself to go out
*At the bar*
After ordering your drinks, the both of you went to sit on your usual seat, in the corner. You liked this bar for its quietness and tranquility. You could just enjoy your drink without being disturbed by someone that wanted a picture with you or with Yoonho (not that you don’t mind but it’s nice to have a calm moment). There was a weird silence between you, before Yoonho broke it with a sigh:
“I want to apologize for today.”
You looked at him with curiosity: “Apologize?”
“Yes, I let my emotions do the talking and I act like you were the only one responsible for the raid. I’m sorry Y/n.”
You shook your head.
“You don’t have to apologize; I was in the wrong to leave you like that and I’m sorry. You were just worried, right? I would be pretty worried too if my best friend got injured, which happen a lot, huh?”
Trying to light up the conversation with a joke, Yoonho laugh slightly covering the small disappointment in his eyes. Friend, again this word. Maybe because of today, this time his heart broke a little bit more in his chest.
“I just don’t understand why you were that worried, I mean, we fought together and it was not the first time that you saw me being reckless and facing the consequences.”
Yoonho took some minutes to think about his answers, is it Fate that give him a sign to finally express his feeling? Or is it just a sick joke of it? You saw him letting out a breath and his stare became intense:
“Do you remember when I said to you that I wanted to create my own guild?”
“Yes, it something that I will never forget.”
“And how you said that you will always follow me so we can fight together…”
It was strange to see Yoonho nervous and you did not like that. In your entire life together, you only saw this nervous state when something bad was happening to you, like the time you got sick and you didn’t show up at a report meeting.
“Okay Tiger, spill it out, you’re worrying me. If it is because of today, I can apologize a thousand times.”
Groaning, Baek shook his head. Why it is so difficult?
“It is not about today, I mean it is but..Fuck, I just hate to see you hurt after a raid, especially if I’m not here because it means that I can’t protect the one person I love.”
He finally said it.
Oh…
Oh.
You felt your brain short-circuiting at his confession:
“You love me?”
“For a while now, it was easy to fall for you. You’re strong, handsome and just seeing your smile can brighten my day. I never said anything, fearing of breaking our friendship.
You can still not believe it. Your feelings for Yoonho were also complicated. He is your best friend and you never want to lose that. Being with him is everything to for you but you saw the changes, how your stare at him with something more in your eyes, how the small touches were lingering more than they should. However, you never felt Baek responding to them so you assumed that he was just seeing you as his best friend and colleague.
Getting out of your head, you can’t help but laugh at the situation the both of you are in, which result of Yoonho giving you a bewildered stare. You tried to stop but thinking about everything makes you laughing more:
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh…it’s just that, I-I love you too Yoonho. But you never seem to see the small moves that I could do so I just stopped…Omg we’re two idiots, it’s crazy.”
Continuing laughing your heart out, you heard Yoonho letting out a funny snort and he joined you in your hilarious state. When the two of you calmed a bit, you took a sip of your drink and give him a loving smile. Yoonho did the same and took your hand in his, squeezing it, a manner to promise that yes, you will always fight and be together even if your relationship changed a bit.
You were just two idiots but two idiots in love and now with your feelings out of the bags, everything’s going to be fine, much to the relief of Choi Jong-in, that was at his limits of seeing the two of you pinning for each other during shared raids.

Chapter 5
Conventions are very loud, very crowded, and very expensive.
The convention center was split into three areas. The smallest area in the center of the mess was the food court. Many American classics were served, along with some exotic tastes.
Breakfast the first day consisted of an oatmeal bowl with fruits for you, and 5 corndogs for Baek. You teased your boss for his unique taste for breakfast food.
The two other sections were about the same size. One side was the weapons and the other side was armor. Scatter through the entire convention were booths with recruiters, technology specialists, and one weird religion booth.
Today, the first official day that the convention was open, you, Baek, Stanley, and Shane, all explored the weapons room.
You were shocked at the variety of weapons offered. There were hundreds of racks full of swords, axes, shield, daggers, bows, arrows, crossbows, and to your surprise, guns.
Apparently, the Government of the United States used a majority of their crystal resources from the mines in manufacturing special bullets that can take down monsters from the portals. After the initial appearance of the portals, the government prioritized the manufacturing of weapons for its military.
In the United States, there are many private hunter’s guilds. The most lucrative and dangerous path to take is to join the United States military. They are involved with all S rank dungeons and often secure the parameter around the portal. The humans in the military are armed with the specialized guns.
If only they got their shit together before my family died.
The weapons all had a varying amount of enchantments on them. Some added to the strength of the user, other took strength from the monsters. Fire, ice, and other enchantments were on the shields, swords, and arrows.
As your boss lead the group from booth to booth, you accepted all of the packets filled with descriptions of weapons and the manufacturers. You mark down which specific weapons or shields Baek showed interest in before storing the heavy amounts of paper in your bag. At booths that peeked your boss’s interest, he would gesture for you to exchange business cards with the booth owners.
During the entire day at the convention, you noticed your boss keeping you at a strict arm’s length away. You know both the conversations and actions from the both of you stepped over the professional to personal line.
You partially scold yourself for feeling hurt by Baek’s actions and behavior today. You had to actual reason to feel sad. Mr. Baek is your boss.
Granted, he was very protective of you and still acts like a total gentleman. You probably feel the way you do because of how long its been since a man had treated you right.
Yeah. That’s it.
Mr. Baek is just being a good boss. You’re just too touch starved and deprived of proper human treatment to the point of professional and personal lines get blurry.
Yoonho Baek is disappointed in his own actions. He knows that you have a boyfriend. Baek should not have touched you last night; he especially should not have touched himself last night.
I am an S-rank Hunter and the chairman of a guild. I should have more discipline!
Through his inner turmoil, Baek couldn’t bring himself to regret any of his actions.
You had consumed an entire bottle of wine last night. Your inebriated state (and possibly naivety) would have left you to be prey to those tow men last night.
Baek was simply performing his duty as a gentleman and protecting you from those creeps. He will admit he got a bit handsy, but in his defense, so did you.
As your group eats lunch (you devour deep fried mozzarella on a stick), Baek takes in your attire for today.
You had on a black pair of slacks, some name brand lace up shoe (he think the brand starts with a C), and a dark orange sweater.
Baek, Stanley, and Shane all opted for tee-shirts.
Maybe you get cold quickly?
As the day goes on, your bag gets heavier and the crowds get thinner. You continue to trail behind your boss.
Stanley and Shane are spread out, establishing a constantly changing parameter.
Out of the corner of your eye, you catch a glimpse of familiar long brown hair.
You turn to get a better look, and sure enough, Tyler and Alex were moving towards you and Baek.
You elbow your boss to get his attention. You smile and wave at Tyler and Alex, but Baek’s hand grabs yours and drags you away from the approaching people.
Practically sprinting, you both weave through the crowd until you enter a congested area.
Baek drops your hand and you look up to him, puzzled. His red eyes give you a silent warning, to not touch the subject.
You not the pronounced vein in Baek’s neck, throbbing against his tan skin.
Last night must have been worse than what I remember.
Your group gets tinner to take back to the hotel. Baek was unusually quiet.
It was almost like he was brooding.
-
Now, you are sitting in your room with Jean on Facetime. Officially, you are scanning all of the documents and sending them to Jean. Jean is on the phone with you to help you with the documenting process and to tell you when she receives your files.
Unofficially, you and Jean are talking about your boss.
“I’m telling you. A normal boss would never casually massage an employee’s neck. Unless the boss in question is a masseuse or chiropractor. But that’s beside the point.” Jean tosses her straight blonde hair over her should, readjusting in her office chair.
“Still, it was a very nice thing for him to do. Especially with how he stopped those men from staring at me.” You press send as you think back to his warm hands on your back.
“Well, that just proves my point that your bar of expectations is literally in Hell. Any decent man should preserve any woman’s modesty. Document 37 just came through/” You hum in acknowledgement.
“I do need to ask you something.” You look up from your work to see Jean grinning at your through the phone.
“Yes?” By her smirk you know what direction your conversation will be going.
“You have to have seen how big he is! Come on, he was in wet pants for goodness sake!” You shake your head, refusing to give her any more fuel for her inappropriate fire.
“Oh! What about when you were grabbing his leg? You happen to grab on to his third leg?” Your hands are covering your face to hide the deep red blush covering your face.
“I didn’t touch anything, Jean. Can we get back to doing our work? Please?” Jean cackles at your embarrassment, reluctantly agreeing to do her job.
You both stayed on the phone until all of the documents were scanned, sent, and organized in the database.
After showering, you drag your tired body to bed. You got some much-needed sleep that night.
On the other side of the shared wall, Yoonho Baek was doing work of his own. His primary focus was telling the security guards to keep those two men away from you.
Baek had a hard time falling asleep that night. His gut kept telling him that something was wrong. He hasn’t been able to shake that feeling ever since meeting Alex yesterday.
Stanley and Shane took shifts that night, guarding your door.
Neither of them could see the silent figure watching their every move.
Waiting.
Planning.
-
The second day at the convention started the same as the first day. After breakfast, you would follow your boss, accepting papers and handing out business cards.
The armor available came in just as much variety as the weapons. Cloaks, shields, shoulder pads, jewelry, helmets, pants, and even underwear were all made to protect the wearer in come way, shape, or form.
The enchantments all varied as well. Some simply produced a physical shield around the wearer. Others prevent extreme heat or extreme cold from affecting the wearer. Others can induce a wall of flames, make you invisible, or even affect the way you perceive your environment.
While at one of the last booths before dinner, Baek noticed your attention drawn to an amulet.
There was a small purple crystal (resembling an amethyst) surrounded by intricate gold pattern. The amulet was hung on a short gold chain.
The design of the amulet made it look like a normal necklace.
As Baek was searching for an excuse for you to move on from the table without him, you spoke up to save him the trouble.
“If you’ll excuse me; I need to use the lady’s room.” You step away from the booth and move to the restroom.
Baek locks eyes with Shane and signals for the security guard to follow you. His gut feeling from last night never went away.
I need to keep her safe.
“I saw ye’ woman eying up this here pendant. Would ye’ like to take a look at it?” Baek felt no urge to correct the booth owner of his mistake.
“Yes, please.” The amulet is set in Baek’s hand. “What enchantments does it have?” Baek questions, admiring the shine of the stone.
“The stone has a varying protection enchantment with an increased perception addition. If an S-rank hunter such as yourself would wear this, you would get an S-rank amount of protection.” Baek’s eyes grow in shock from being recognized.
“Aye, I do know ye’. I got a list of all the guilds, worldwide! I’d be happy to expand my trade into Korea, Hunter Baek.” The man behind the booth continues his sales pitch.
“If yer’ woman were to wear this, she would only be protected from human threats.” He pauses, gathering his thoughts. “The perception ability would increase her awareness to threats. That would be the most useful part for ye woman.” Yoonho Baek made the transaction with his personal card, thank the booth owner by exchanging business cards.
As you finish up using the bathroom, you fix your hair in the mirror. Today’s time at the convention took less time than yesterday. Mr. Baek knew what type of protection he was looking for today; yesterday he was looking at every weapon type.
Maybe you’ll have enough time to get ice cream tonight. Dairy Queen’s cupcake counds really good right now.
Your eyes catch movement by the closed door of the restroom. You turn around and look to see who was there, but there is no one.
These movements have been happening all day. It first started when you left your room this morning. The weird movements continued to stay in your peripheral vision while walking around the convention center.
You refrain from telling Mr. Baek, he seemed stressed enough as it is. His attitude hadn’t improved.
I don’t need to make him worry more about me. He has already done enough.
You try and shake the weird feeling as you return to Mr. Baek. Out of the corner of your eyes, you see Shane following you.
You assume Mr. Baek told Stanley and Shane to follow you because of what happened with Alex and Tyler last night.
The four of you meet at the food court and get your dinners. Mr. Baek suggests taking the food to go and eat in your rooms.
You agree with your boss’s decision, but you wanted to spend some more time with him. He has been acting cold towards you all day.
Surely it wasn’t from something I did last night?
Regardless, you take your dinner (steak kebab with French fries on the side) and walk back to the room. Mr. Baek says in front of you while Shane and Stanley follow behind you.
As you unlock your room, a hand on your shoulder stops you from stepping inside.
“Wait. I got you the necklace you were looking at earlier.” Mr. Baek holds out a velvet sinched bag for you to take.
“You didn’t have to do that!” You exclaim, as Baek practically shoves the gift into your open hand.
“Please, I insist. Consider it an apology for what happened last night.” He shuffles back to give you space.
“The way you acted last night didn’t bother me at all. It was those men that sent me the creeps. And besides, they were fighting with you for the most part.” You shrug your shoulders, try to not make a big deal over what happened.
“But I shouldn’t have acted like such a dick in front of you. I especially shouldn’t have touched-“ Yoonho Baek was interrupted by his phone ringer.
He sighs and checks the caller id. Chairman Go.
Fuck.
“I’m sorry, I need to take this.” Yoonho’s guilt turns worse when you smile at him and usher him to his room.
“It’s okay, I understand. Enjoy your dinner!” You enter your room.
After you finish eating your dinner, you face time Jean to send her the documents you received today.
Your rhythm is the same. You focus on scanning documents, Jean focuses on setting you up with your boss or asking inappropriate questions about the man.
Eventually, you get done with your job and say good night to Jean.
You had enough time to get some ice cream.
You glance at the bag holding your gifted necklace, debating on putting it on.
Deciding against it, you pull on your coat and text your boss for the business card to get ice cream.
Yoonho replies, saying that Shane already has the card, and to go with him.
So you do. You both venture from the hotel and walk to the Dairy Queen a block away. The brisk air almost deters you from getting your sweet, but you power through for the nostalgia.
Waiting in line for your ice cream was short, but you received many questioning looks.
Probably because of the man who looks like secret service beside you.
You successfully secure your ice cream and make the cold trek back to the hotel. You take note of any interesting stores along the way, just incase you get some time during the day too look around.
Once you arrive back at the hotel, Shane escorts you to your room, leaving you to devour your sweet treat.
You savor the flavor as you watch a random movie on the tv. The nostalgia floods your memories, bringing you back to the days when your family was alive.
You got your sweet tooth from your dad, who would always find an excuse to have something sweet. Your mom was a bit more health conscious, but she couldn’t say no to ice cream.
Dairy Queen knew your order by heart when they would hear your young voice through the drive through speakers.
You tear up at the happy memories.
I miss my family. I wish they were here now, maybe they could visit me if they were alive.
Shaking your head, you clear the negative thoughts.
Once you finish your ice cream, you throw away the container.
You want to get showered, but the necklace bag catches your eyes.
Maybe you’ll put it on, see how it feels.
You pull the delicate chain from the velvet bag and feel its weight on your palm.
This is too much.
You unclasp the chain and place the necklace on yourself.
Turning to the mirror, you look at your appearance.
The purple crystal sits in the middle of your chest, just below the hollow of your neck. You like the way it looks. The gold chain and decorative metal around the crystal complement your skin tone.
Like it or not, the necklace looks good on you.
That still doesn’t justify Mr. Baek spending money on me. Even if it is just an apology gift.
You decide to keep the necklace on until you get undressed for your shower.
As you are sitting your pajamas out on your bed, you suddenly feel a cold chill run down your spine.
There is no AC running or windows open.
Your head whips around as you look around your room.
An uneasy feeling settles in the pit of your stomach.
You try and shake off the feeling as you move into the bathroom to start your shower.
You trust your gut and check the closet in your room and under the sink in your bathroom.
No one is in my room. I’m just paranoid.
You turn on the water for your shower and leave the bathroom, letting the water heat up.
Moving into the main room, you go to pick up your pjs when you hear it.
The latch on your door just shut.
Your head whips to the door, your heart is racing.
I got back to my room 30 minutes ago. I know I shut my door and it locked because Shane did it for me.
What the fuck is going on?
You walk towards the door slowly.
Step by step the feeling of dread in your stomach increases along with your heart rate.
The voice in your head is screaming for you to get out of your room.
Your hand rests on the handle and you jiggle it.
Yeah, it’s shut. Maybe I’m going insane?
The gut feeling keeps getting worse, but you shake it off.
You turn to go back into the bathroom and that’s when you see it.
The movement that you have been seeing all day.
It’s in your room.
Your hand immediately goes back to the door handle and you wrench it open as you feel something brush against your back.
Slamming your door shut, you sprint to Mr. Baek’s door and start slamming your fist against the wood.
Seconds later Yoonho Baek is standing in front of you, concern written all over his face.
You get flustered by his appearance and forget how to talk for a second.
Mr. Baek has a very short towel around his waist, water dripping from his hair and down his chest.
He says your name, a hand cupping your flushed face.
“Someone is in my room.” As you say those words, you watch as your bosses eyes turn bright yellow and he turns to face your room.
“I’ve been seeing movement out of the corner of my eye all day and I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to be more of a hassle than I already am and –“ Yoonho stops your rambling by pushing you into his room.
“Stay here. Don’t open the door unless it’s me. Throw the dead bolt.” His left hand grips the towel tighter around his waist as he moves to your room.
Listening to your boss, you quickly move into his room and slam the dead bolt locked.
Seconds later you hear the sound of your door slamming open, the percussion echoing through your room.
You pace the room, your hands running through your hair as you listen to the painful grunts and shouts entering through the walls.
It’s a small chance that Mr. Baek is on the receiving end of those blows, but you still worry since it is a chance.
The grunts turn to whimpers until you can no longer hear the commotion.
A knock sounds at the door and you run over to look through the peep hole.
Mr. Baek is standing there, his chest heaving.
Your hands move the dead bolt and open the door. Baek is quick to move inside. You immediately notice the blood speckled across Yoonho’s face and chest.
Both of his hands cup your face and then quickly move to feel both of your arms and legs.
“He didn’t touch you, did he? Are you hurt?” His yellow eyes scan your body, looking for any injury.
“N-no. I felt something brush m-my back when I ran out of my room.” Your body is shaking from the adrenaline rush, your vocal cords are no exception.
“I dealt with him. Security will handle him where I left off. From now on, you’re staying with me, got it?” Yoonho cups your face, making sure you make eye contact with him.
“Understood.” He nods his head, taking in your shaking body when his eyes land on the pendant.
“Don’t take off this pendent. Ever. It saved your life.” He touches the purple stone, his hand resting on your chest.
“Oh, okay.” Your body continues to shake and your teeth chatter, breaking Yoonho’s train of thought.
“I’ll get your things. Wait here.” Your boss moves out the door again, the towel sagging low on his waist.
If it weren’t for the shock of what just happened, you would be taking in the sight more.
Mr. Baek returns with your bags and all of your clothes in a few minutes. He sets all of your things along side his own on top of the desk.
“Go shower, I need to make sure things are taken care of.” Mr. Baek ushers you into the bathroom with your toiletries and pajamas.
You spend a long time under the hot water. Eventually your body stopped shaking and exhaustion hit you all at once.
Stepping out of the shower, you dress in your pj’s and brush your teeth.
You walk out of the bathroom to see your boss sitting on the bed, typing furiously on his phone.
He looks up as you approach the bed. You notice his eyes finally shift back to their normal red.
Yoonho stands and you noticed that he changed into a pair of shorts.
“I’m sorry, but the hotel staff is dealing with the broken door and can’t get a separate bed in here tonight.”
“I don’t mind sharing a bed.” You hum as you move to the other side of the bed.
“Oh, okay.” You lay down in bed, pulling up the covers.
You’re eyes are heavy as you lull into a deep sleep.
The last thing you remember is a heavy warmth slipping around your waist.

Solo Leveling Female G!P Sung Jinwoo x reader: Episode 2: If I Had One More Chance:
Y/n's current hairstyle and outfit:

Back to the story, our group of hunters are now trapped in the dungeon, plus two of the hunters got killed.
One had been beheaded and the other vaporized into oblivion.
Everyone is panicking, wondering on what to do.
As the others scream and panic, Y/n is wondering what will happen next.
Y/n's thoughts: ( This is terrible. Two hunters just died like that! And in a flash?! We're screwed. We're absolutely fucked)!
Chiyul calls out to everyone as he yells:
Chiyul: Everyone, stay still! I think moving makes it mad, too!
Everyone stops moving as they stand still.
Jinwoo and Y/n turn over to Joohee, who's terrified as shit. Lying on the ground with her hands on her and covering her ears as she tries to ignore the chaos.
Jinwoo tries to get Joohee back to reality.
Jinwoo: Hey, hey, Joohee! Stay with me!
Jinwoo turns to Y/n for help.
Jinwoo: Y/n, help me snap her out of it.
Y/n: Yeah.
Y/n tries to comfort Joohee in order to get her to help them.
Y/n: Joohee, sweetheart, please open your eyes. We need you here.
Joohee doesn't listen as she just ignores them.
Chiyul: That was a close one.
Chiyul walks up to Y/n and Jinwoo as he talks to them.
Chiyul: We'd all be piles of ash right now if it weren't for you, two.
Y/n and Jinwoo: Us?
Chiyul: You two yelled because you figured it out, right?
Y/n: Sorry, sir. But that's not it.
Jinwoo: It's just that we sensed something dangerous.
Y/n: Mister Song! Your arm!
Y/n refers to Chiyul's now bloody amputated left arm.
Jinwoo takes note of this as well as she gasps in shock.
Chiyul sees what she's talking about as he chuckles.
Chiyul: If I grit my teeth, it isn't all bad.
Y/n: Then, we must patch it up immediately.
Y/n manages to use some bandages from her backpack to stop the bleeding.
As she's applying the bandages, Chiyul speaks.
Chiyul: Normally, I'd ask the party's healer to patch me up. Ours spooks easily, though. That's why she only does bottom-rung raids despite being a B-Rank hunter.
Y/n and Jinwoo face Joohee, who's still lying on the floor terrified and in the fetal position.
Y/n: Can't say I blame her, though. Everyone is shocked out of their minds.
Chiyul goes on to state that in his time of raiding various dungeons, he's never been in this type of situation.
He also points out that the three commandments are no joke, meaning that they must follow the rules of the commandments or die.
Jinwoo and Y/n realized when the commandments were referring to God, they meant the huge statue they laser blasted one of the other hunters.
As they start figuring out a way of escape, one of the hunters in the group speaks as he gets into a running position.
Jae-Hwan: I'm not dying here! No. I just landed a contract with a major guild!
As he talks, wind begins to pick up around him as he activates his power.
Jae-Hwan: Got too much going for me to bite it in this crap hole!
Y/n's thoughts: (Is he crazy? Leaving will get us all killed)!
Y/n: If that's true, then don't move. You'll die if you do!
Jae-Hwan: I can do this! Speed's my specialty! I'll get out of here, watch me!
Jae-Hwan uses his speed to run toward the doors but before he can make, the God statue blasts him, killing him and vaporizing the man into mostly nothing.
The only thing remaining are his legs and shoes.
Everyone screams after seeing another hunter get killed.
Y/n's thoughts: (Damn it, we're officially screwed)!
Jinwoo: That thing can end us the second it feels like it.
Chiyul: Yeah, we're basically bugs waiting to be vaporized.
Y/n: (To Chiyul) Then, do you have any idea why it hasn't zapped us yet?
Chiyul: No.
Jinwoo and Y/n start to think about why the statue hasn't killed them yet. They then realize that the first commandment said "Thou shall worship God", and they must worship the statue that represents God.
Jinwoo then says:
Jinwoo: This place must have its own rules.
Y/n: And if that's the case...
The two girls stand up as Chiyul tells them not to move.
Chiyul: What the heck are you two doing?
Y/n and Jinwoo: Testing a theory.
Chiyul: Sit down, or...
Chiyul sees the determination in the eyes of the two young hunters.
Jinwoo holds Y/n's hand tightly and Y/n returns this gesture.
Chiyul: You two aren't done. I can see it in those eyes. The look of young souls that haven't given up yet.
The God statue gets ready to vaporize Jinwoo and Y/n, but the two immediately bow down as they breathe heavily.
The statue stops its attack and goes back to its normal frozen state.
Y/n turns to everyone as she explains what she and Jinwoo found out.
Y/n: We need to bow our heads towards the giant statue on the throne!
Gi-Sool: Will that actually fo something?
Sangshik: I think you kids might've snapped.
Y/n: There's no other choice here!
Sangshik shuts up as Chiyul confronts them.
Chiyul: So, your theory was right, kids?
Jinwoo: Yeah. It only attacks if you're above a certain height.
Y/n: And that means we have to bow down and "worship God" like the commandment says.
Jinwoo and Y/n bow down on all fours with their heads facing the ground.
Chiyul: This is your plan to get us out of here?
Jinwoo and Y/n: Yes. For now.
Chiyul: Guess it's worth a shot.
Most of everyone starts to bow down on all fours.
The God statue doesn't blast them, seeing that Jinwoo and Y/n's plan worked.
The statue then proceeds to make a devilish grin.
Everyone is shocked that the statue just smiled. They then stand up as they realize they're safe.
Everyone celebrates at the fact they survived.
However, Jinwoo and Y/n are unsure if that's all for now.
Suddenly, the God statue starts to rise from its throne and move towards them.
Sangshik: I thought this nightmare was over!
Chiyul turns to Jinwoo and Y/n.
Chiyul: Jinwoo, Y/n, what's next? Does your plan have a second phase?
Y/n: Not really, but if we keep following the commandments to the letter, we'll live.
Jinwoo: Meaning the next step is to praise God!
Gi-Sool: Praise the giant?
One of the hunters, Yoon Sungchul, walks up as he speaks.
Sungchul: I might have the answer. As a dedicated student of ethnology, I have a few extolments for Gods tucked away in the back of my mind.
Y/n's thoughts: ( Hopefully his ethnology skills save us all).
Sungchul gets down on his knees as he puts his hands together as he says a prayer.
The statue slows down a bit.
However, Jinwoo notices that the prayer ain't working.
Jinwoo's thoughts: (That prayer. Wait).
The statue begins to raise it's foot as Jinwoo and Y/n realize the error that's been made.
Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (No! It doesn't apply to this God)!
The statue sports its creepy grin again as it then crushes Sungchul beneath it's feet.
From the statue's foot, the formerly living hunter's blood spills out like a puddle of red liquid.
Beom-shik: Shit!
Sangshik: Let's move!
One of the female hunters gets crushed into a bloody paste.
Chiyul: Everyone, spread out till we come up with something.
Chiyul then runs off as Jinwoo turns to Y/n and takes her hand.
Jinwoo: Y/n, come on! Let's go.
Y/n: Joohee, follow us.
Joohee: R-Right!
The three try to get away from the statue, as far as possible.
Beom-shik thinks to himself about how his family is waiting for him.
A/n: Apparently, I confused bro's name with Gi-Sool. So yeah, there we go.
Beom-shik then reaches a nearby statue as he turns to the others.
Beom-shik: I think the safest place is up against the walls.
Sangshik: (While running) No, Beom-shik! Look behind you!
Sadly, Beom-shik is cut down in half by the knight statue behind him.
Sangshik: Beom-shik!
Meanwhile, Jinwoo, Y/n and Joohee run as fast as they can.
Jinwoo thinks to herself about the "Praise God" commandment.
Jinwoo's thoughts: (Praise God. Praise God. What is there to praise about that thing? It's more demonic than divine. Whatever I do, I can't Y/n and Joohee behind. Especially Y/n, I haven't told her how I feel about her).
Jinwoo looks around, trying to find something to save her, Y/n and Joohee included from imminent death.
Jinwoo takes a look at each of the statues, noticing one of them has a trumpet, she immediately puts the pieces together.
Jinwoo then turns to Y/n.
Jinwoo: Y/n, you see the statue with the trumpet?
Y/n: I can see it, Jin. And I know the plan.
Jinwoo: Good. Relay the message to everyone else.
Y/n: (To the others) Everyone, quick! Run to the statues with the musical instruments! Hurry!
Chiyul: If you say so.
Chiyul runs over to the statue with a trumpet/blow horn.
The statue's eyes glow blue as a horn blowing sound erupts.
Chiyul: What do you know? Them kids were right again. (To everyone else) Hey, none of the statues with the instruments will attack, so hurry and find one.
Sangshik manages to find a statue with a violin that plays, signaling his safety.
Meanwhile, Y/n, Jinwoo and Joohee arrive by a statue with drums.
Jinwoo: Cone on, play your drum! Come on, please!
Y/n: Jinwoo, I don't think it's working.
Jinwoo's thoughts: ( Is it possible that the statues are one per person)?
Jinwoo turns to Joohee.
Jinwoo: Stay here. You'll be fine. Y/n, come on. We gotta go!
Y/n: Right!
The two run off to find another statue as Joohee cries out for them.
Joohee: Wait, what about the two of you?!
As Jinwoo and Y/n run to the next statue, the God statue starts to chase them.
It begins to step at them, narrowly killing the pair in the process.
Y/n: Jinwoo, we need to hurry! We can't outrun that damn thing!
Jinwoo: We'll be fine, N/n! I swear to you, I'll keep you safe. No matter the cost.
Y/n: (Panting while running) I'm scared, Jin. I've never felt this scared since my parents...
Jinwoo could feel the fear radiating from Y/n. Thanks to their tight bond, it allowed them to feel what the other felt ( in a metaphorical way I mean). So, Jinwoo could sense this experience was bringing back memories Y/n didn't want to remember.
Jinwoo holds onto Y/n tightly as she says...
Jinwoo: Remember, back when we were kids...
Flashback:
A young Y/n walks into Jinwoo's house, accompanied by Jinwoo's dad, Sung Il-wan, as Jinwoo walks up to her.
Young Jinwoo: Y/n, are you OK?
Y/n, however, just cries as Jinwoo hugs her and she tells her:
Young Jinwoo: Don't worry, Y/n. No matter what happens. From now on, I'll keep you safe.
From that day forward, Jinwoo would keep that promise, that's how much it meant to her. To protect the girl she loves.
Back to the present day...
Jinwoo: I promised you that day when you came to my house that I'd protect you and that's what I'm going to do!
Jinwoo sees the statue and realizes she won't be able to get far so she grabs Y/n's arm.
Jinwoo: Y/n, please forgive me.
Y/n: Jin, what are you doing?!
Jinwoo then tosses Y/n with all her strength to the statue with the singing angel.
However, while doing so, she gets knocked back to a statue with a knight carrying a shield who cuts her leg off.
Y/n: Jinwoo, noooooo!
Y/n starts to cry, almost believing Jinwoo to be dead.
Y/n: Jinwoo, please be alive, damn it!
Y/n then yells out her feelings, believing Jinwoo might possibly be dead and no longer living to hear them.
Y/n: Jinwoo, please, I- I love you, I've been in love with you all this time, you crazy bitch! Please, don't die on me! Please! I can't live without you!!!!
Jinwoo emerges from the fog, as she crawls as fast as she can.
Jinwoo's thoughts: (Not yet. I can't die yet. I need to be)...
Jinwoo sees Y/n, waiting for her.
Jinwoo's thoughts: (I need to be with her. I promised I'd keep her safe and I'm not going back on my word)!
Jinwoo crawls with all the energy in her body till she eventually manages to reach the statue Y/n's at.
The statue then sings, signaling both hers and Y/n's safety. Somehow, by the grace of God (and a little bit of plot armor).
Jinwoo: Feel like singing some praises myself.
Y/n walks over to Jinwoo as the God statue returns to its throne.
Y/n: Jinwoo, are you OK?! Please tell me you're okay.
Jinwoo looks at Y/n's teary-eyed face. She places her hand on Y/n's left cheek and says.
Jinwoo: I am now, Y/n. Thank you.
Y/n then out of happiness and love, kisses Jinwoo on the lips.
Jinwoo is obviously surprised at first but easily melts into the kiss.
As they separate, Jinwoo looks into Y/n's E/C eyes.
And Y/n looks back into Jinwoo's blue orbs.
Y/n: Jin, I'm so sorry I did that. I thought you were dead and-
Jinwoo shuts Y/n up with another kiss, calming her down and placing her bloody forehead against Y/n's own bloody forehead.
Jinwoo: It's OK. I love you too.
A/n: I know we're going a bit too fast with the "I love you's" and all that. But then again, this is fanfic, plus they have been in love with each other since childhood, so yeah. But I'll try to make sure we go a bit slower, just a little bit.
Joohee runs over to the pair as she yells out their names.
Joohee: Jinwoo! Y/n! Are you both OK?
Jinwoo: Barely, but at least we're alive.
Y/n: Jin, your leg...
Jinwoo places Y/n on her shoulder, calming her nerves by using her scent to calm.
Jinwoo: It's OK, N/n. I'll be fine.
Joohee gets to work, healing Jinwoo's amputated leg.
Jinwoo: Enough already. I mean it. You'll wear yourself out if you keep going.
Joohee: I'm going to heal you! So just shut up and let me do it! Besides, you nearly scared your new girlfriend half to death, you'd expect me not to get mad?!
Jinwoo: Girlfriend?!
Joohee: Yeah, didn't you and Y/n kiss each other? Isn't that a confirmation you're an item now?
Jinwoo starts to blush heavily
Jinwoo couldn't deny the fact that at this point, she could say Y/n was now hers and forever at that. Well, that seems to be if they live to go out on an actual date instead of a dungeon death trap.
Joohee overexerts to the point she coughs blood and blood flows out her eyes.
Y/n: Joohee, that's enough.
The group then looks around, seeing the bloodbath of bodies lying about like a twisted art display.
Everyone then starts pointing fingers at each other, blaming one another for the casualties caused.
Jinwoo and Y/n know that blaming one another won't mean shit since the last trial us about to take place.
The God statue raises its hand as an altar appears.
Sangshik: The hell is that?
Jinwoo and Y/n: An altar.
Everyone else turns to Jinwoo and Y/n as they explain that they'll need a sacrifice to complete the last trial.
Sangshik unsheathes his sword and points the blade directly at Chiyul Song's neck.
Sangshik: Beom-shik had a family. Bragged about it all day, then I watched him get cut in half. He and six others died. If you really feel responsible for their deaths, prove it to us and God, leader.
Y/n: Don't do that.
Jinwoo: No, Mister Kim, that's...
Sangshik: Both of you stay out of this!
Chiyul: All right. Lower your sword and I'll go.
Chiyul walks over to the altar as Jinwoo and Y/n think to themselves.
Y/n's thoughts: ( Why is he doing this? It's not his fault in the first place).
Jinwoo's thoughts: (He shouldn't shoulder all the blame. We voted as a group to risk coming here).
Chiyul stands within the circle of the altar as a flame appears by him.
Chiyul asks Jinwoo and Y/n what's up, and the two figure out maybe a sacrifice may not be necessary.
Jinwoo turns to Y/n.
Jinwoo: Y/n, I don't want to seem rude but....
Y/n: Don't worry, I'll help you.
Y/n carries Jinwoo by her right shoulder and another hunter carries Jinwoo's left.
They then walk over to the altar as three flames appear.
Chiyul: Did you guys solve the last puzzle?
Y/n: Unsure.
Jinwoo: If we wait, is anyone likely to come rescue us?
Chiyul: Today marks the seventh day the gate's been open. Those statues will mobilize again before a rescue team does.
Jinwoo then realizes that gates normally take a week to last before a dungeon break occurs. That's when all the magic beasts get loose into society and tear shit up.
Jinwoo then invites Sangshik and Joohee to join her and the others.
Once they do, two more flames light up and appear.
Suddenly, lightning sparks from the altar, hitting the outer ring and creating more flames, blue ones at that.
A rumbling noise can be heard and it is shown to be the doors that led everyone here opening, inviting them to leave.
Chiyul: The doors opened.
A hunter, Ra Hyeyoung, asks if it's safe to leave now.
Hyeyoung: So can we leave now?
Jeongho: That's bait if I ever saw it.
One of the blue flames disappears into absolute nothing.
The statues with the weapons start to glow blue with blue lines.
They then activate and start walking forwards.
Chiyul: That doesn't sound good.
Sangshik: Look! The statues are closing in!
Jeongho: Do we have a plan?
Sangshik: What in their psycho God's name do they want?
Joohee: Why?
Y/n sees Joohee about to close her eyes but tells her not to.
Y/n: Joohee, don't. Don't close your eyes!
Jinwoo: They'll keep coming if you do.
Jinwoo then tells everyone to keep their eyes on the statues which they do.
Hyeyoung panics and runs away to the open doors as her flame dies out, signaling one less player in this sick game.
Chiyul: Talk to us, kids! Now what's going on?
Jeongho points out that Hyeyoung made it out alive.
Jinwoo tries to figure out how that's possible. She figures out the blue flames are timers and the normal ones are for those who are still here.
Jeongho who took Hyeyoung's place in carrying Jinwoo decides to dip and run off to the doors, pushing Jinwoo into Y/n as they both fall.
Chiyul: Jeongho, don't!
Y/n: Hey, get back here, you bastard!
Jinwoo: No!
The red flame (aka normal one) by Jeongho had dies out once he leaves.
Sangshik: Hey! Huh?
Jinwoo and Y/n: Don't you dare move! The circle will have blind spots if we lose our fifth!
Chiyul states that if they had more info, shit wouldn't be this intense.
Jinwoo holds onto Y/n's hand tightly as she speaks.
Jinwoo: We'll escape, too!
Y/n: Just gotta patient.
Sangshik then states the fact two of the weakest hunters of all mankind just saved is amazing, it still doesn't change the fact he has a family who needs him while he cries tears.
The man drops his sword as runs out and another red flame dies.
Jinwoo slams her fist onto the altar while Y/n does the same.
Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (You're "sorry?"(looks at the approaching statues) Not yet. We have to survive this).
Jinwoo holds Y/n's hand and squeezes it tightly.
Y/n: Jin, I'm so scared. I don't know what to do anymore.
Jinwoo: Y/n, I'll say this and I'll say it again. I'll protect you no matter what! I love you, Y/n.
Jinwoo looks into Y/n's eyes.
Jinwoo: I'll always love you, no matter what.
Y/n: I love you too, Jinwoo Sung.
Jinwoo and Y/n share what appears to be a final kiss.
Once they separate, Y/n starts to shiver a bit.
Jinwoo notices this and takes off her jacket, putting it on Y/n since her clothes are ruined.
Jinwoo and Y/n decide to stay behind to keep the doors open.
Initially, Jinwoo opted to stay on her own but Y/n wouldn't dare to leave her and she knew it.
Joohee opposes this idea but gets knocked out by Mister Song.
Chiyul carries Joohee out on his shoulder as he walks out the doors, leaving Y/n and Jinwoo alone together.
Jinwoo faces Y/n, wanting to know why she stayed behind.
Jinwoo: Y/n, why did you do it? You could've left with them and yet, you stayed here with little ol' me. Why risk your life for me, damn it?! Why?!
Y/n: I love you, you crazy bitch! What do you expect me to say?
Jinwoo is shocked to see Y/n flipping out like this.
Y/n: You're my only home, Jin. I don't have anyone else out there in the world. No grandmothers, no grandfathers, uncles, aunts, cousins, hell, my own assholes of parents died after your mom and dad took me in.
Y/n starts to cry as she sobs.
Y/n: I love you, Jinwoo. You're my home, my family, my comfort and my true love. You're everything I've ever wanted and needed. So, I can't abandon you, I'll never you.
Jinwoo holds Y/n to her chest as the statues close in ever closer.
Jinwoo and Y/n end up accepting their fates as one of the statues tries to attack. Jinwoo manages to use Kim Sangshik's sword to guard herself and Y/n but gets knocked away.
As the two are rolling about on the ground, Jinwoo and Y/n lament on how they are.
Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (We've always been the weakest, and we got mocked for it at every turn. But we still try as hard as we can).
Jinwoo tries to block again but fails as her right arm alongside Y/n's gets chopped off.
Jinwoo screams in pain while still trying to protect Y/n.
They both get slammed back to the altar. Then one of the statues stabs both the girls in the chest as they're lifted up and fall down on the altar.
Y/n: (Coughing blood) Jin, if this is the end, let's meet each other in the next life. Screw that, I don't want to die and not see you without me!
Jinwoo: Me too!
Jinwoo and Y/n look up at the massive blade, ready to cut their lives short.
Jinwoo and Y/n wish to be given another chance at life as the blade is about to end their lives.
The last blue flames burn out as a notification screen appears saying:
Notification:
[The Secret Quest:
"Courage of the weak":]
You have acquired the qualifications to become players. Will you accept?
Then it tells them that they have 0.02 seconds to choose and presents a yes or no option.
Having nothing to lose, Jinwoo and Y/n go with yes.
From that day forward, Jinwoo and Y/n gain the power of the players, the exclusive power to level up!
A/n: Hope you guys enjoyed and it took me a very long so see ya later.
