Forcing their kid to become a deatheater doesn’t really make sense or seem like the Blacks MO to be honest. They’re usually better at politics, using their money and influence to push their goals.

What does make sense though, is that after Sirius ran away, Reg knew he wasn’t nearly as charismatic and probably wouldn’t fare well in politics so he found a more hands on approach cause he was always good at magic. Maybe Walburga and Orion didn’t actually approve of that and he was rebelling like Sirius dod just in the other direction.

“love, can you give me that?

“sure.” he’ll answer without a moment’s hesitation, handing you what you need and it is only then that he’ll process what you have said before he could even focus back on what he was doing earlier.

“wait.” he pauses, turning to you with a confused look on his face. he isn’t entirely sure if what he heard was correct or just his mind playing tricks on him but he hopes that he wasn’t dreaming. you hum, eyebrows raised at him and he opened his mouth, “can you say that again?”

“say what again?”

“like what you said.”

you furrow your eyebrows, baffed, “...can you give me that?” there was a slight intonation in your voice indicating your confusion in this matter. while he was out here in front of you with a mind completely jumbled and thoughts roaring in the lack of certainty, you were there standing in front of him with a perplexed expression on your features as you couldn’t understand him.

“no, i mean– before that.”

“before what? you’re confusing me.”

“you know what i’m talking about.”

“no, i don’t!” you immediately object. you don’t know what in the world is he trying to say. you’re just trying to finish some of your tasks and he’s trying to make you repeat what you said which you already did. “i genuinely don’t know what else do you want me to say. it’s not like i said something that–” your words from earlier played quickly inside your head, the first one, to be exact.

“oh.” you falter, “oh.”

he notices the realization trickling through your tone and expression, “yeah… so do you know now?”

“i just did that, didn’t i?” he nodded and you sighed. “and what’s the big deal?”

“it’s a big deal! that was the first time.”

“seriously, love?”

“you did it again!” his eyes sparkled, ears perked up as a smile beaming with joy was plastered on his face. excitement was evident on each and every corner of his being.

“oh, dear…”

“was that meant to be me or…” and you only made a small gesture at him for him to shut his mouth in which he did. although, you couldn’t contain the small curve that tugs on your lips.

“but will you call me that again?”

“no,” and he groans despite recognizing the deceitful timbre in your words.

“okay.” 

it was just a single word, a four-letter one but you couldn’t ignore how his tone sounded rather… cheery and though in normal occasions, you wouldn’t mind nor even notice but right now, there was some hint of an unfamiliar feeling on it. it’s like he’s plotting something. then he spoke up once again as he brings you what you were asking for, “here it is, love,” adding an emphasis to the endearment that he just called you.

“thank you?” you failed to hide the bewilderment in your expression as well as your voice but he only smiled at you and replied with the same tone as the look on his face, “you’re welcome, love.” 

a brief silence ensued between you two as you nailed your gaze at him, trying to decipher his guise and take a loot at the inside of his mind and he seems to find amusement in your attempt; he doesn’t break his demeanor which infuriates you more.

you grumble and he chuckled, “what’s wrong, my love?”

“you.”

he raises an eyebrow, tilting his head for a bit. “why? what did i do wrong, my dear?”

but realization creeps up to you, albeit in a slow manner as if you were still taking it in and accepting it; it was similar to a snail climbing up your leg, uncomfortable and hateful. “did i just call you…” and he nods with the same smile that he has since earlier, an affirmation to your suspicion.

“i really did?”

“yes, you did, love.” and though it’s just one word, a single-syllable one word, with the way he uses it, it feels like a frying pan being repeatedly hit on your head. oh, so that’s why you were feeling off about his air earlier.

“why? is there a problem, love?”

“stop that.” you already feel embarrassed enough and yet he’s here prodding into it and making it worse by teasing you. he laughs, short and soft, then replies sweetly, “there’s no need to be shy now, is there?” he approaches you, hands swiftly wrapping around your waist and pulling you closer to him, closing in the distance between you two. you couldn’t speak, not like he was giving you a chance to do so.

“it sounds so pretty coming from your mouth.” so you should call him like that more often.

he stiffened up, processing what you said and you didn’t fail to notice it especially when you had your hand out and empty for almost half a minute–there was no sign of movement from him either–, expecting for him to place the thing that you’ve been asking for on top of your palm. you turned your head towards him, calling out to his name and snapping him out of it. 

“the book, please?”

“oh, right.” he laughs rather awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck before proceeding on doing what you had asked him. finally, he places the book in your hand but he still seems to be in a trance, eyes distracted, and you couldn’t help but to worry.

“are you alright?” concern drips from your voice and he hummed, eyebrows raised as he feigned a look on his face that says he’s fine. “oh, yeah. i am, i totally am. i’m just a little bit distracted.”

but you know him all too well that he wasn’t telling you the truth. you didn’t respond, gaze trained at his face in silence, seeking for a falter in his fake expression and he breaks; he doesn’t like how well you can read him as if he’s an open book–not like he hates it, however. sighing, he spoke up once again, “you just called me ‘love’ for the first time,” and it’s probably an accident, those words died out on his throat.

“i did, yeah but it wasn’t an accident.”

astonishment fills his face, “oh?”

you hum, nodding your head before you speak in a soft voice. “does it…” your voice trails out and you fidget with your fingers, “...bother you?”

“no, no, it doesn’t.” he’s quick to protest, shaking his head in a panic as if he’s afraid that he might have accidentally hurt your feelings. “it doesn’t bother me, it will not. i actually love it.”

“really?”

“really.” he spoke firmly but gently and he placed his hand on top of yours, fingers snaking through yours and perfectly fitting with your own as if it were two puzzle pieces. he whispers, “my beloved.”

honestly, you could call him with a sweet endearment or a horrible one and he’ll still get the butterflies.

he hums, quick to finish the request you have asked him and giving you what you needed before returning to what he was doing prior. it makes you wonder if he really heard what you said, choosing to ignore some, or a single word or maybe he did hear it and he just doesn’t care. you tried to give it a try, calling him not by his name but by an endearment, a sweet yet simple one but there was no reaction from him. 

unbeknownst to you, however, everything was a complete opposite to your thoughts.

he’s thinking, like not just some thinking but deep thinking, deep, deep thinking as if he’s contemplating a decision that could cause the end of the world if he doesn’t think of it properly when it’s literally just a word, 4 letters and 1 syllable. god, you have him on such a tight hold that you have him losing his rationality over a 2 consonant, 2 vowel term.

“you okay?” he was pulled out of the train of his thoughts and he hums, nodding. “i’m fine. i’m just thinking of something.” of what you said. he distracts himself with something else, continuing the task that he left off earlier and trying to finish it–gods above, he just wants to hear you say it again.

“just call me if you need anything.” you say and he only inclined his head as a response. it was quiet once again, a little bit tense but you could manage, in some sense, it was also comforting and peaceful (honestly, you were doing everything you can to not think of what he’s thinking because he’s been oddly silent and you just couldn't understand him).

however, he’s thinking, still. i mean, aside from confessions and simple ‘i love you’s, it’s the first time he had heard you call him in an endearment and that one at that in a rather casual setting: you have asked him for something, that was it. the way you said it sounded so natural, so smooth, as if you have practiced saying it multiple times–in which, you probably did but he doesn’t know of. he just can't wrap his head around it and he fears that his thoughts are going to come out of his mind at this point, it was loud and muddling the insides of his head.

love.

he repeats it inside his head.

you’re going to be the death of him, at this point.

sokka’s treatment in lok was astonishing tbh but i’m actually glad he was dead by the time the series started bc toph being a cop??? aang being an awful dad???? they would’ve ruined him and suki’s characters lbr.

as far as any possible kids go idk we didn’t meet suyin till book 4 we barely saw izumi i think they just didn’t want to make the new series be a atla reunion plus lok was only meant to be one season so they were making that shit up as they went along lmao. and back in 2012-14?? they didn’t know themselves what happened to sukka lmao.

sokka and suki are definitely the type to break up bc of long distance but then find their way back to each other a few years later especially as they settle into their roles in life.

while bryke definitely neglect suki and sokka to some capacity also they do have a soft spot for suki after bringing her back. many don’t consider her to be team avatar but they’ve stated they do so idk ! she shows up a lot in the comics which have obv been created post-lok and it’s been said that they’ll utilise it’s plots and characters in shall see in future projects (crane fish town becoming republic city maybe??? where suki currently is working?? and sokka later lives!!)

i’m p sure suki will be in it at some capacity anyway and that there’ll stick with jennie as she’s one of the few asian og va’s. she’s doing a lot of work atm for avatar studios.

also random but i literally found out today that it’s not bryke-confirmed that mai and zuko end up together. it was a comment on a panel by the old comic writer. it’s not technically canon. izumi is the spit of mai anyway but hmm! interesting!!

btw btw suyin’s father was def a sandbending outlaw who toph had a secret relationship with that couldn’t be public bc of her role as police chief x

oo big ask ok let me break this up into different paragraphs …

fist point - one thing i will admit about lok is that it fell short in incorporating the original characters into the new series in an interesting way with enough verisimilitude (realistic-ness) that it didn’t feel like they were just throwing a popular character into an episode for the sake of it. such as the whole ‘aang is a bad dad’ thing because they under-utilised him as a mentor figure to korra and instead focused on his supposed favourite son (i have thoughts on this re. aang NOT being a ‘Bad’ dad but i will make another post on it if u are interested (or have i alr made one? i’ll make another one.))

i have to agree that they would’ve probably done something shitty to sokka or suki if they were included. especially with the entire first season of lok being about bender/non-bender equality… i can just imagine they’d make sokka say something dumb about the equalist movement being 100% Bad instead of him actually supporting some of their completely valid arguments. idk. i’m sad there’s no sukka but at the same time…. quit while ur ahead yk.

second point - sukka long distance relationship is so real ESPECIALLY during their first few years together. i can see them just kinda calling it off because of commitment issues due to their work, etc. but not ever really losing feelings. they’d be endgame tho🥰

i can absolutely see suki being in upcoming projects! especially since she and the other kyoshi warriors expanded their reach across the nations - it would be hard to ignore them completely if we’re assuming they’re including comic canon into the universe. i hope jenny returns!!

third point - yeah! how crazy that maiko as izumi’s parents isn’t canon confirmed… though she’s so clearly mai’s daughter. i wonder if mai’s role will be expanded in upcoming projects / if she’ll be featured more. hmmm.

fourth - would honestly prefer this to the theory sokka is her father lol. it kinda baffles me that TOPH became a cop.. not bc she opposes authority - there’s something different about enforcing it than there is having to follow it. i can see toph in authoritative positions, and she fits them well. but i think it baffles me moreso because why would toph even work as a COP? isn’t that boring as hell for her?? go do something awesome like probending or professional underground fighting (adult blind bandit anyone?? this would make a good fic) or literally just construction idk i feel like toph isn’t a Hard Worker type that would want to be stuck in such a rigid career.

I find it interesting that Chosen started out as "weird nerds that thinks highly of himself" but then in the middle it got a bit muddled, with the Chosen Multiverse videos. (A bunch of different chosens from different universes meet up to fight.

And there is no explaining that away with anything but at least something magical/out of this world going on.

But I think other than shayne straight up telling people that's that is Chosen truth more than once, in the past videos there has been a even bigger effort to show that he is just some guy who either lies a lot or is a bit delusional (i am a both truther)

So how do you explain the multiverse videos? Well I think the real answer is that they thought it made a fun video, so they did it. But that's boring, it is true, but it is boring and I am already reading too much into it so I have constructed an answer. Call me Matt pat, let's go:

I have 3 theories actually:

1. It is literally another Chosen. In the BAF Legacy BTS video, Shayne talked about how the Chosen is literally The Chosen One in all Universes except the one we know. This was to explain the BTS Legacy Chosen, which is confirmed to be separate. So he could as well.

2. It is our Chosen in the Multiverse Vidoes, but he has no control in opening the portal etc. All the other Chosens played by other people in those videos have powers and traveled through the universe to him. He is just good at gaslighting.

3. None of The Chosens in that video have powers and it is just a contrived LARP.

hello i would like to tell you that since i saw your post mentioning the concept of a baf legacy + wayward guide crossover i haven't been able to stop thinking about it could you say more

okay so i will admit that this isn’t a fully fleshed out idea yet (at the moment it’s mostly ✨vibes✨) but here’s what i’m thinking alright. so artemis and paul get brought back to do wayward guide season 3. they hear about this house on the hill that’s had a long history with weird going ons, and now, 17 or 18 years since the last recorded disturbances, there have been reports of unusual activity once again (since twg is in 2020, id imagine this would be 2021 or 2022, and the final baf legacy ep is set in 2004). ik obviously everything is supposedly set right in the baf legacy finale, but given the type of story it is, i don’t think it’s a stretch to have things start back up again. artemis and paul learn about everything that’s happened, talk to any surviving members of the families, and eventually, after plot reasons i do not know yet, they start to interact with the ghosts of all of those who died in the house. and you kinda get the gist! basically i just really want the schue-horyn twins to have to go and investigate and interact with all of the baf legacy characters because i think it would be fun and i think there’s some sort of story there. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Eversince a Bit on TNTL, Amanda and Angela have been feeling a lot of attraction to each other. When they talk to eachother, they get completely lost in their own little bubble.

Today at lunch Chanse,Shane, Courtney, Amanda and Angela all sat together. Angela was telling them about the plot line of one of the Musicals she did at Starkid. They all seemed pretty interested but none as much as Amanda. Her stare on Ange was so intense, the singer noticed and subsequently got embarrassed.

*Why is she staring at me?* She thought, * did I say something wierd? * Looking around she concluded he hadn't embarrassed herself and got back to telling the story of how a stuffed animal caused people to go crazy and start a cult around it. Amanda never stopped staring at her.

*a few hours later*

The crew just finished filming an episode of baf legacy. Everyone scurried off until only Ange and Amanda were left. They talked about thier characters. "You know Elenor having a cat allergy is gonna bite you in the ass later." Amanda said, trying not to laugh. Angela laughed " maybe it'll be passed on to your character, if we decide that Eleanor and Edwin have kids." Ange winked at the taller one. Amanda sighs " That would be such a good bit. We should remember that one." They arrived at Amandas car and got in." Thank God I can drive you home today, these street are not safe baby girl." The driver said  flirtingly.  Angela only blushed and told herself it meant nothing.

BAF Postmortem ~ Plot

General Concepts

This segment goes over the general development of plot for the first fanfic. Essentially, it’s about the origin of it, and the ideas that I wanted created from the story, which I’ll explore below. (I’ll leave chapter breakdowns for later and posted elsewhere.)

Inspiration

 I think a few people know about this, but browsing art originally inspired my Pokémon fanfic. Pokémon was a franchise that I had a nice amount of knowledge over, and I was looking through different artworks of pairs that I was getting into.

 This was back around 2014 and 2015, so that’s when Kalos (Gen 6) was big, and when a lot of people around me were bringing up their interest the series after missing out for at least the last one.

 While I was browsing online, I saw some art pieces related to a pairing between Greninja and Chesnaught, two final forms of the Kalos starters. There were several artworks that I found, though it was my eventual friend Root who had made a name based on this pairing.

 There was another artist back then by the name of…I think it was “Mint” or “Cactus,” but I can’t really remember them anymore, especially since I never got to know this person. One of my favorite pieces wasn’t even done by either of them, but had a scene or comic of Greninja and Chesnaught under a starry night of fireworks. I went to search for it before typing this, but I couldn’t find it in like three seconds and gave up.

 Anyway, these pieces were interesting to me, and I had already entertained the idea of the Kalos starters being related to fantasy archetypes.

 So, something in brain had a switch flip go, “Hey, someone should make a story about medieval Pokémon things!” Guess who was dumb enough to try that?

 Origin

 Originally, I tried writing up a document for the pairing that I had built some investment into. (And I actually found that one, whoo!)

 Initially, I set a few pairings down that I liked, and wanted to see which I could use. Though a good number of them played out in the fanfic proper, some didn’t even have characters added in, while others would contradict pairings and I simply didn’t write them. A bunch I chose based on cool names from an unofficial shipping list from…I think it was Bulbapedia, or related to them.

 With those, I went on to set up some roles based on different characters that I decided to use, with some roles being assigned and going unused for the story. To keep this from getting too long (like it’s not already), I’ll have a separate post for the characters and talk about them there.

 After that, I came up with a blurb in order to create a world for the story to be told in. Originally, it was just to help me create the world, and wasn’t meant to go beyond, though I did imply and play with the idea for that.

 The original descriptions that I had written were as follows:

 “There are four kingdoms (Grasslands, Tundra, Mountains, & Desert) that are at war over finding a prophet. Each has called alliances with smaller lands to build armies.

The war has currently come to a halt, with reports that the prophet has died. Though most believe it has only disappeared, all combat has been declared under cease-fire. However, there are still minor disputes that arise now and again.

This story follows a shy Greninja, who is looking to find love during what he believes to be a post-war lifetime. He falls for the more outgoing knight, Chesnaught, who the ninja believes would never acknowledge his existence.

What starts as a simple love story grows into a larger grand-scale adventure, in which the characters will struggle with the alliances they forge and the choices they will make.”

 Hilariously, that’s pretty much what I went with as I asked readers if they wanted more from the story. There’s a bit more based on each story that I tossed up, but since I am currently following that, I’ll save that for another day.

 Beyond that, I have some listings for flowers and their meanings, a bit scattered around, and some possibly not being accurate by this point. I had the idea of using flower language as a theme, because it was something that’s interested me quite a few times, but this was the first time that I was going to consciously use that for a story at all.

 Initial Concept

 Well, if you’ve read the stories, you have an idea of how things come together. But, the original story itself? It was mostly the last two or three chapters of BAF.

 The story itself, as you might’ve caught on, was originally going to be solely from Greninja’s perspective. The story itself was kind of just knights parading around town, fans cheering about them, Greninja monologuing (a lot), and then the juicy stuff.

 And by “juicy stuff,” that meant Greninja helping Escavalier with his wife’s gift, then his big confession to Chesnaught in castle, and then the parade with the flowers at the end. That was going to be the extent of the whole thing, condensed and packaged into a single one-and-done story chapter (a one-shot).

 Even those weren’t on a one-to-one ratio either. In the story proper, those events happen after actual development among the cast. Whereas, for the original version, Greninja starts as part of a parade to the castle, talks to Escavalier about flower gifts (and actually doesn’t help him, since I never got that far), and has personality talks with nameless characters (as in I never even wrote who Greninja was talking to). THEN he finally gets to the confession and aftermath, all of which takes place in the castle itself, and just outside of it.

 Obviously, this never came to pass as a story itself, since…well, a lot of that was just kind of spitballing. I wrote a few ideas down, some lines of dialogue that didn’t always string together, and that was the end of the conceptualizing. The ideas themselves weren’t half bad, so I kept them saved on a separate document page.

  As for the rest, that became the story itself, which I worked on and posted after I had written up a lengthier version, properly integrating Greninja into his home, and bumping up Chesnaught as a main character himself, not just a simple love interest. It came out a LOT better that way, since that added in all of the depth for the story in the end.

⭐ Welcome to the world of "Bary & Friends" ! 🌈

Bary and Friends, BaF or BaFs for short, is a show within the game series and project of the same name. BaFs has been in production since 2019, the plot and characters going through many changes until the finalized versions in late 2022.

The show, "Bary & Friends" was released in 1983 by RainbowCO in California, which was owned by two men called Oskar Williams and Sebastian Walker. In of itself, Bary and Friends was just like any other kids show. But the way it taught its messages let it become a national success in 1986, slowly but surely.

"Now, where is the twist?" - You might ask yourself, as the project does include horror and would, of course, not be happy forever.

Back at the near end of 1990, Oskar Williams was reported missing, and his corpse was found later in 1991. Not soon after, a man named Larry Chester took over production and would expand the world of Bary and Friends outside of television programming.

This was the start of "Bary's Rainbow World", an indoor playground with a massive array of attractions spanning from huge dining areas to even an arcade called "Bary's Arcade".

Now talking development.

The current game that I'm working on will be playing in "Bary's Arcade". The game itself will be some sort of mini-game simulator that will help me test out my skills in development and coding. The game is still in a pre-production phase, and I'm planning on building a community that would both help me with feedback for said development, and support for the characters.
