Dazzling Diversity: Exploring the Variety in Indian Jewellery
Introduction:
India, a kaleidoscope of cultures, languages, and traditions, is home to a myriad of jewellery styles that mirror the diversity of the country. Each region boasts its unique designs, materials, and techniques, making Indian jewellery a captivating journey through time and culture. Know more in detail Traditional Earrings
Tumblr media
North India: Rich Heritage of Kundan and Polki Jewellery
The northern part of India is renowned for its opulent Kundan and Polki jewellery. Kundan, a traditional form of Indian gemstone jewellery, is characterized by the use of highly refined gold and gemstones. Polki, on the other hand, features uncut diamonds set in intricate patterns. The craftsmanship involved in creating these pieces is meticulous, often requiring hours of labor, resulting in breathtakingly beautiful ornaments that are favored during weddings and grand celebrations.
South India: Temple Jewellery and Intricate Gold Craftsmanship
In contrast, the southern regions of India are celebrated for their temple jewellery and intricate gold craftsmanship. Temple jewellery, inspired by traditional temple motifs, is adorned with depictions of gods and goddesses. The goldsmiths in South India are renowned for their expertise in creating detailed designs, often using filigree work and gold granulation. These pieces are not just accessories; they are considered auspicious and are an integral part of South Indian bridal trousseaus.
East India: Lacquer Work and Terracotta Traditions
Moving towards the eastern part of India, one encounters the unique artistry of lacquer work and terracotta jewellery. Lacquer work involves applying a protective coating to metal surfaces, giving them a distinct, vibrant look. Terracotta jewellery, crafted from baked clay, reflects the earthy and rustic charm of the region. These forms of jewellery are not only aesthetically pleasing but also represent the connection to nature and traditional craftsmanship.
West India: The Magnificence of Thewa and Polished Silver
In the western states of India, particularly Rajasthan, one discovers the grandeur of Thewa jewellery and the beauty of polished silver ornaments. Thewa is a traditional art form where intricately crafted gold sheets are fused onto multicolored glass, creating stunning designs. Polished silver jewellery, often adorned with semi-precious stones, is a popular choice for its affordability and versatility. These forms of jewellery showcase the vibrant and vivacious spirit of the region.
Contemporary Fusion: Blending Tradition with Modern Trends
While traditional jewellery holds immense cultural significance, contemporary Indian designers are creating a fusion of tradition and modernity. The emergence of lightweight jewellery, incorporating materials like alloys and imitation stones, caters to the preferences of a modern, on-the-go lifestyle. This fusion not only enhances the accessibility of Indian jewellery but also allows individuals to express their style while staying connected to their roots.
Global Influence and Recognition:
Indian jewellery has transcended its geographical boundaries and garnered international acclaim. Designers showcasing at global fashion events incorporate Indian elements into their creations, leading to a global appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship of Indian jewellery. Bollywood celebrities adorned in exquisite Indian jewellery at international events further contribute to its global allure.

Preserving Heritage and Artisanal Skills:
As India continues to modernize, there is a growing awareness of the need to preserve traditional artisanal skills. Government initiatives, NGOs, and private enterprises are working together to promote and sustain the rich heritage of Indian jewellery craftsmanship. This not only ensures the survival of ancient techniques but also provides livelihoods for countless skilled artisans. Know more in detail Tribal Jewellery Online
Conclusion:
In the grand tapestry of Indian jewellery, diversity is the common thread. From the regal Kundan of the north to the earthy terracotta of the east, each piece tells a story of tradition, culture, and artistry. As the jewellery industry continues to evolve, the kaleidoscope of Indian designs will undoubtedly enchant generations to come, ensuring that the legacy of this rich heritage endures through time.

It was still dark in the morning sky, even the fucking birds were asleep and Bhalla was waiting for his mother to arrive in the room where she has called him to talk about something. He really was tired of being the only one with the braincell in the circus affectionately known as the Mahishmati royalty.
He leans back against the wall, rubbing his face to brush off the sleep still heavy in his system.
This meeting was illogical, apparently Sivagami has something to discuss about the marriage proposal and while Bhalla was kind of looking forward to the marriage it didn't mean his mother suddenly could endanger lives of a people by sending them to wake him up after a night of listening to his father throwing drunk tantrums.
He almost killed the poor boy for knocking on his door, he hates getting up early. Bahubali was the sunshine, the early bird, he was happy in the darkness and comfort of night thank you very much.
Bhalla shuts up the internal monologue and straightens when the doors are pushed open and his mother walks in.
“Ma, what happened that you had to meet me at this hour?”
“You are aware that the proposal has been sent to Suryagarh right?”
“Yes mother, it has been four days if I remember correctly.”
“Which is the point of this meeting.”
Bhalla was a little confused, no he was not dumb to not understand his mother usually but Sivagami loved talking in circles which he did not feel like solving like four in the morning or something.
So he remained silent and waited for her to continue.
“It's been four days and we have yet to receive any reply from them. I don't appreciate this behaviour nor the fact that their princess doesn't seem to be in the capital or hurrying back according to my informers.”
Now, Bhallaladeva knew his mother had a tendency to be ridiculous, his whole family had it and he had understood and accepted the fact when he was like ten but this was beyond her usual behaviour.
Devsena really traumatised the woman with her behaviour and he finds it just a little amusing, just a little.
“Ma, maybe it's something important holding her up, maybe wait for a little while longer?”
He really wasn't feeling like going princess hunting, the preparations for his coronation were tiring enough but the look he received told him he had no say in the matter and she knew that he knew.
“Find her, if I find her reasons justified, maybe I will forgive her.”
Seriously, fuck his life.
“As you wish mother.”
He says before bowing his head and striding out of the room, this was NOT going to be fun, by evening he has information on where the princess was and just the name of the place sparked his curiosity.
The perfect princess of Suryagarh, the one everyone wanted was in Singhpuram. Interesting.
He doesn't give his mother the exact location but he does tell her he will be meeting the princess and make sure she understands the gravity of the situation or whatever, he zoned out a little when Sivagami was going on and on.
After that conversation, finally, after months of visiting the place, Bhallaladeva sets out for Singhpuram again, this time on a personal agenda one might say.
The place was as chaotic as he remembered, if not more, his eyes scanned his surroundings lazily. He was familiar with the ins and outs of the place, which happens when you are searching for a man all over the said place.
A over the top cheer from the wild crowd makes his ear ring for a solid minute before he hears it, the sound of footsteps just above him, along with the heavy anklets those feet most probably had wrapped around them.
But the shouts and absolute cheers around him made him lose track of it more easily than he would like he admit.
The disappointment didn't stay for much because soon enough, he could make out a female silhouette standing at top of a platform, she turned around and he almost spat out his drink in surpise.
Dressed in a light golden skirt which had slits to let her legs free, a matching fitting blouse, hair flowing wildly, face decorated with makeshift golden tattoos and art along with all kinds of hand jewellery decorating her hand which held the glass of alcohol she splashed around on the men surrounding her, was Mohini.
Yes, the oh so good and perfect princess was dancing in a damn bar and it amused the older Mahishmati prince a lot more than it should have offended him.
That was because of two reasons, one was plain interest, the sight in front of him clearly told-no screamed that Mohini was anything but the reputation that precedes her.
Second, he has noticed the dropping man not because the woman was ridiculously pretty, of course she was but it was because the said beauty has slit their throats.
He gulped the last of his drink before walking towards the crowd, he was an imposing figure which meant he easily either had people giving him way or he simply pushed them out of the way, as he made his way towards her.
Bhalla was good at reading people, he knew and loved that he had the ability because this very ability was the one who told him that the woman was purposely triggering the animals in the name of men around her.
The way her hips moved, the way she looked at the crowd, the way she merely existed in the moment would drive even the toughest of the saints crazy, he was just a man with a heart and functional pair of eyes.
Her next move made him chuckle out loud even if the crowd downed the noise. She drank from a glass and offered the same to a man, who drank it eagerly of course only for him to fall down. Now while everyone think it was her effect, Bhalladeva saw the man's face slowly blue, those plump lips coloured in red were covered in poison
He would have not admitted this for anyone else but for her, he does. Bhalladeva, the crown prince of Mahishmati, the future king of one of the most powerful kingdoms ever, was getting smitten to his last bone.
His thoughts break when she collides with him, her feet missing the edge of the stage and slipping down, right into him.
Bhalla's body acts before his mind, his hand coming to wrap around her waist, one of his legs stepping back to brace the impact and keep them both standing, her hands holding his shoulders, their chest pressing together and her lips colliding with his neck.
She pulls back from him in a second, flipping back her hair as the crowd roared around them before a sign of recognition crosses her eyes and she smirks.
The crowd chants her name as he lifts her up and sets her back on the raised stage, she doesn't spare him more than a glance before turning around, her skirt brushing his face and suddenly he wasn't sure if the sting in neck was from the poison or the death grip he knew the woman walking away from the all the eyes would have on him soon enough.

Okay, not many warnings, but Bhallaldeva is probably a bit tamer here since he's not so much behind Devsena so he doesn't feel like he's losing another thing to Bahubali, so he's a bit tamer and not so much after the throne now| Reader mentioned to have siblings and mentions of pregnancy| He's a bit OOC|| Part 2: Nsfw"
Tumblr media
✤ Bhalleldeva is a man of refined taste as one would say, he's a royal and the elder son of Rajamatha Shivgami Devi and a crown prince. Of-curse he's known for his lavish tastes. He wanted the throne, but couldn't get it. So when Shivgami Devi sent him away for, he got delighted as it gave him a chance to earn the throne back.
✤ While Bahubali was away, Bhalladeva indulged himself in different things, drinks, games, fights and especially women..when one day, as he was having fun with drinks, he overheard a few of the noble men's servants talking about an apsara from Heranshi, "Have you seen her hair??", "So black and so long, perfect for a lady of her title" compliments after compliments poured from their mouths for the so called princess.
✤ And one thing led to another and he got the foreign nobleman to pain a picture of the so called apsara, he was curious, he couldn't lie..and he could see why people of your empire loved you so much, you were so gorgeous with your long hair, gorgeous eyes, and stories of your kindness and more only encourage his sudden infatuation with you.
✤ He told his mum on accident how much he had begun liking you, and she excitedly call for a meeting after Bahubali returned for a while and they visited Heranshi for a while and met with the king and queen, both of them glad to meet the great Shivgami Devi, and her sons, Bhallalldeva and Bahubali.
✤ They were invited by the king and queen for a festival and you held a dance performance as the princess of your empire and he was star struck, Bahubali would smirk and nudge Bhallaldeva's shoulders and tease him about being obsessed with you before even knowing your name, as Bhalladeva would push him away as he giggled softly.
✤ You and your siblings were introduced to Bahubali and Bhallaldeva and he got to know your name, Y/N, and he was swooning, you were even prettier up close..he could barely hold himself up and he swear to god he felt his knees buckle underneath his weight as you smiled at him.
✤ After a lot of talk, you and Bhalladeva were to be put into an arranged marriage and so he started courting you, he would bring your extremely gorgeous pendents and jewellery; anklets, armbands, earrings, necklaces, nose rings, bracelets, dress belts, expensive clothing, some even bejewelled with gold and stuff.
✤ Flowers, gifts, statues, portraits, expensive clothing, spoiling you with food you liked, jewellery you enjoyed beaded with your birth stones or gemstones, diamonds, gold, silver, platinum and so much more. He would gift them to you and though you found it a bit too extravagant, your parents were happy you had gotten such a wealthy and rich fiancee for yourself.
✤ He knows he's conceited, a bit cruel, a bit of a sadist and if we're being honest, not a fit person for someone as kind and gorgeous as you. So he had to suck up SO MUCH pride and go to Bahubali for advice or Kattappa if hes EXTREMELY desperate and ask them for advice and actually takes some things into consideration even if he thinks Bahubali just talks his brain and word vomits whenever he speaks.
✤ Bahubali actually thinks this engagement between you two is pretty beneficial, not only for the alliance of empires, but also to build his relationship with Bhallaldeva. And he is pretty happy to do so with his brother, even if he doesn't like his brother a lot.
✤ Bhalladeva and you would be sitting like eating lunch or dinner and he would listen to whatever it is you have to say if you're more talktative and if he's the more talkative one, he'd be trying to tell you as much as he can about the books he read, stories of his childhood, about himself, about his empire, Maheshmati, to you while you listen with interest. If you're both a bit closer at this point, you both might even feed each other.
✤ Eventually he did have to go back, but you got your parents to send you with him to Maheshmati for a while to see how living there would be like while Bahubali headed back to see Devsena with Kattapa.
✤ You and Bhalladeva got certainly a lot of time together, you did not like his father Bijjaladeva a lot who sneered at you, but you didn't say anything to Bhalladeva because you did not want to be disrespectful to him and his family, especially not his mum, who come to like you a lot...But after a while, Bhalladeva did catch the uncomfortability you got around his dad and asked you once while you both laid in his bed.
✤ You did eventually speak your mind out a bit, trying to be as respectful as possible, ready to be kicked out or whatever..but he sighed, internally he knew you'd be creeped out by his dad's weird, not because of his weird body stature, but rather by his scheming, sort of evil intended nature..He calmed you down, promise to protect you...and talked to his dad about it as well.
✤ Simply to say, his dad was not happy and did try to scheme your death, but he shut it down and gave a stern talking to his dad. While you and him slowly got closer and closer, until Bahubali came back with more news that he liked Devsena and the two fell in love and stuff, it was pretty rushed, but him and Devsena seemed closer than anything.
✤ You and Bhalladeva's marriage was first and since you were quite beloved for your kind, generous and wealthy reign in your family's empire, people welcomed you with open arms. As you and him got married in a lavish wedding, your mother cried.
✤ During your marriage, let's say they still had the shoe stealing tradition, and so your sisters stole Bhalladeva's shoes which were so huge compared to them, and they had to be extra tricky, they stole the shoes when he removed them and he couldn't even feel bad cause you were laughing softly, looking so pretty.
✤ It was a good bonding moments and he did give your sisters huge sum of money to get his shoes back as your sisters, you, Bahubali, your close families laughed gently, and you were accepted into the family by Shivgami Devi immediately.
✤ Bhalladeva did complain to you about how he wanted the throne and stuff, but trying to a form a relationship with you, advice on relationships and stuff all came from Bahubali and so the two formed a bond, he became more interested in spending time with you rather than running an empire and besides, his mum's judgement never went wrong.
✤ You thought he showered you with gifts before, he showered you with gifts and affection even more after marriage, constant kisses, constant spending time together with him reading you old stories of Mahesmati or Heranshi..whatever he can get.
✤ Both getting palmistry to see your future in marriage and he did not wish to tell you anything, no matter how much you demanded it. He definitely became more mellowed out and calmer after your marriage, constant affection in private, though in public, his hand is always around yours. People of Maheshmati think it's rather adorable and servants even more so.
✤ He sometimes has you watch his fights with Bijjaladeva, him sometimes making back-handed compliments which you threw back with equally sassy yet respectable comments which made Bhalladeva laughed, though he tried not to show it.
✤ You know in the first week of marriage, Bahubali was sitting on the floor with kid's toys and you bent down and held his chin and kissed his forehead like a mum and you both go so confused cause he called you mum on accident after that and Bhalladeva instantly though you both were drunk...
✤ Apparently Bahubali is your babyboy brother too. And you were so incredibly happy for him as his marriage was done to such a gorgeous girl which you definitely teased him about as he giggled like a babygirl, while Bhalladeva glared at Bahubali.
✤ He has portraits painted of you and he gets pissed off if they don't portray your beauty exactly as he sees it, whenever after a puja he gets prashad, he feeds it to you first before eating it himself, same of taking the puja from the diya, he does it to you first before himself.
✤ Very protective and possessive, his murderous tendencies do jump back in when some man or lady tries to disrespect you, he has threatened and maybe killed hurt some people, not that he will tell you.
✤ Always decorating you with stuff you have in your closet after a day because it's a way he relaxes, seeing you dolled up and pretty, as it's tiring for you, since you have to take off so many heavy gold, diamond, gemstone and silver and other jewellery.
✤ It won't be too long before you do get pregnant, if you want NSFW headcanons...that's another thing, request it and maybe I'll do it. Maybe add in some scenarios for this too, fluffy ones though.
✤ But seriously, you do get pregnant pretty quickly, cause man he's a..how to say, he desperately insatiable guy and he thinks you'd look gorgeous while pregnant, and have children with your looks who he thinks will be absolute beauties on earth.
✤ During his and Bahubali's coronation, you calmed his nerves and told him it's fine to be a commander of arms right beside the emperor too and Bahubali thanked you immensely for it that his relationship with Bhalladeva was healed and not torn apart for the throne. He took the oath as Devsena made you sit with her, since she was cooing to your pregnant belly the entire time and congratulating you
✤ Speaking of Devsena, you and her literally become best-friends, especially after her and Bahubali's marriage and she gets pregnant not too long after you, brothers are not so different after all.
✤ But before she was pregnant, she gifted you so many things and you gifted her so many things from your empire, Heranshi as well. You and her took so much time with each other that after a while the brother's got jealous of each other's wife for having so much attention of their wife on the other's wife...yeah..
✤ Overall, pretty cute marriage, he's head over heels, loves you, obsessed with you, kills for you, dies for you, decorates you and loves your kids a lot.

The Interesting Perspective

In the vibrant and bustling streets of Hyderabad, India, nestled amidst the chaos of modernity, there existed a quaint and almost forgotten treasure trove of history. It was a little antique store with an intriguing story of its own, now entrusted to the care of a young woman named Y/n.
Each morning, the sun cast its gentle rays upon the old wooden door of the shop, signalling the beginning of another day.
Y/n, with an air of quiet determination, unlocked the weathered door and stepped into a world frozen in time. The antique store, a relic itself, carried the weight of decades, its wooden beams groaning softly with age.
As the door swung open, a cloud of dust danced through the air, catching the soft glow of the morning light. Y/n took a moment to inhale the musty scent of history and nostalgia before she proceeded with her daily ritual.
Y/n's routine was as predictable as the sunrise. She gingerly dusted off the display cabinets, each one containing a piece of history that had been carefully preserved for generations.
Once the store was tidied up, Y/n took her place at the ornate wooden register. It was a perch from which she watched the world go by, albeit one that rarely saw any visitors.
The store, hidden away in plain sight amidst the chaotic streets of Hyderabad, seemed to exist in its own tranquil bubble. Despite the city's ceaseless movement and vibrant energy, it was as if the shop was invisible to the outside world.
With the day's quietude embracing her, Y/n reached for a vintage novel, a companion she had grown fond of. The pages rustled softly as she lost herself in tales of bygone eras, immersing herself in the words on the pages.
The store was once her grandmother's, and before that, her great-grandmother's, and before that her great-geart-grandmother's. No-one knew exactly how old it was, but it was a family relic that was passed down to Y/n.
Y/n had always been more inclined toward the pages of modern literature than the silver screen. In a world captivated by the magic of movies, she found her sanctuary in the written word.
But as fate would have it, a new cinematic sensation swept across India, leaving a trail of fervour in its wake, bearing the name 'Bahubali.'
It was as if a fever had taken hold of the nation, and fans had gone berserk over this cinematic marvel. People had lost their minds, raving about the epic storytelling and jaw-dropping visuals that this movie promised.
Y/n, ever the outlier in her circle, hadn't quite fathomed the craze.
Her friends, captivated by the Baahubali frenzy, hadn't understood how she remained immune to its charm.
They had pestered her relentlessly, urging her to give it a chance. Perhaps, they had thought, Y/n might just find a new love in the world of cinema.
“Come on, Y/n!!”
“It’s really good!! We’ve already been to the movies three times this month purely because it was so good!”
“And we’ve had two movie nights where we watched the first and second movies together!”
Y/n grimaced, unsure of what to say.
“I don’t know, guys…”
“Ohh, please, Y/n!” They continued to persist, wearing down the girl.
“If it’s not as good as we promise, I swear on my life I’ll start reading that one book you told me to!” Y/n’s ears perked up at this comment as the others quickly joined in.
“In fact -  we all will!” The three girls looked at each other and began nodding in unison and urging Y/n.
“Mmm…” Y/n’s face remained in deep thought.
“Y/n, if you come to watch the two movies with us, we all promise to immediately start reading the books.” One of the girls spoke up, finally, desperate to get her friend in front of the silver screen. Y/n craned her head to look past her friends at the deserted and empty shop.
Y/n’s features softened and she looked at their eager faces. She let out a low sigh and looked at her friends, a smile starting to form on her lips.
“I guess it couldn’t hurt to leave the store unattended for one night,”
Finally, Y/n had relented, agreeing to accompany her friends to the movie theatre. She had been willing to set aside her literary pursuits for an evening if only to unravel the mystery of what had driven the entire nation into a state of euphoria.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
As the lights had dimmed and the colossal screen had flickered to life, Y/n's curiosity had mingled with a hint of scepticism. The opening scene had unfolded, and the grandeur of Bahubali had begun to unfurl before her eyes.
She had watched in awe as the story had unfurled, the characters had come to life, and the visual spectacle had swept her into its embrace.
As the credits rolled and the applause of the audience resonated around her, Y/n understood why the nation had succumbed to Baahubali‘s enchantment.
Leaving the theatre, Y/n wore a smile that mirrored the newfound appreciation for the magic of movies. She might have been a devotee of modern literature, but in that moment, she had experienced the transformative enchantment of cinema.
Y/n held a unique perspective on the characters.
Y/n possessed a deep respect for Bahubali, his qualities of honour, bravery, and selflessness impressed her. Bahubali had been a shining example of the qualities Y/n had admired most in people.
Even when it came to the character of Bhallaladeva, who had been universally despised by viewers, Y/n had found herself harbouring a different sentiment. Instead of hatred, she hadn't been able to help but pity him.
Beneath the layers of villainy and treachery, she had glimpsed a tragic figure, consumed by ambition and insecurity, his actions driven by a thirst for approval.
While the general populace had harboured hatred and disgust for Bhallaladeva, she possessed a unique and empathetic viewpoint. Y/n had peered beneath the layers of cruelty and ambition, recognizing the tragic figure that Bhallaladeva had truly been.
In her eyes, Bhallaladeva hadn't been just a villain; he had been a product of his environment, a victim of his father's ruthless influence.
Y/n believed that if he had grown up in a different setting, devoid of the poisonous presence of his father, he could have evolved into a different, more compassionate person.
“I can’t believe you feel sorry for Bhallaladeva, Y/n! He’s the ultimate villain!” Gowri, Y/n’s closest friend, argued as she sat across Y/n in the little coffee shop, as Y/n took a sip of her drink and continued looking down at the newspaper.
“Gowri, I know it’s hard to see, but there’s more to his character than just being a villain,” Y/n said, taking another sip, and making Gowri groan, her hazel locks swaying with her dramatic disdain.
“More to him? He’s a murderer, Y/n! He killed his own brother and lusted for his brother's wife, how can you pity someone like him!?” Gowri's grey eyes were full with a sense of determination to prove Bhallaladeva to be a vilian.
“Everyone’s a murderer in this movie, Gowri. Besides, I’m not condoning his actions, but just think about it. He grew up in a toxic environment with a father like Bijjaladeva. The constant pressure, the endless manipulation, the unhealthy influence…” Y/n shuddered, just thinking about what Bhalla likely grew up with.
“That’s no excuse for his treachery. He betrayed his family and his kingdom, he’s disgusting!” Gowri spat. Y/n sighed, finally placing her mug down on the table and laying her paper flat, looking up at Gowri.
"I get that, but I can't help but wonder if, under different circumstances... He might have turned out differently," Y/n said, softly, in a comforting voice. Gowri gaped at her, her mouth open and eyes wide.
"Are you serious? He's power-hungry and ruthless. He deserved the fate that came to him."
"It's just that the complexity of his character intrigues me. What if he felt trapped, burdened by the expectations placed upon him?" Y/n said thoughtfully, “What if he was feeling betrayed by his own mother? That everything that belonged to him was being shared with his cousin? Even that thought wouldn’t be his fault, it would be his father’s.”
"Y/n, he had a choice! He chose evil, plain and simple." Gowri said with a huff, crossing her arms.
"I'm not saying he didn't make terrible choices. It's just that I can't help but feel a sense of pity for someone who may have been a victim of his own circumstances." Y/n’s tone remained gentle.
"I can't believe you're defending him, Y/n," Gowri said in disbelief, shaking her head.
"I'm not defending him, Gowri. I'm just trying to understand. Stories like Baahubali make us question the complexities of human nature and the choices people make." Y/n said, calmly.
“Well, I still think he’s the worst.” Gowri childishly puffed out her cheeks and looked out of the window as Y/n lightly chuckled, shaking her head.
"And that's the beauty of storytelling. It sparks conversations and lets us see things from different angles." Y/n said with a clever smile, eyeing Gowri as she took another short sip of her drink.
Rather than hating Bhallaladeva, Bijjaladeva, the conniving and power-hungry uncle, had been the object of her disdain. Y/n had loathed him for his nefarious influence over his son, Bhallaladeva.
The sick thoughts and twisted desires he had sown in Bhallaladeva’s mind for his own greed had been inexcusable.
Y/n's fascination didn't stop at the cinema. She had felt compelled to dive deeper into their psyche, to unravel the intricacies of Bhallaladeva and Bahubali’s dynamic, lives, and the forces that had shaped them.
This curiosity led Y/n to embark on a literary journey of her own. She had poured her thoughts, insights, and emotions into a twenty-thousand-word analytical essay, meticulously dissecting the characters and their intertwining destinies.
Her essay had become a labour of love.
'If I were ever magically given the chance to change the fate of Bhallaladeva and assist him to tread a path of light and goodness, I would value the opportunity and do my best to secure him a good future.'
Little had she known that her writings would soon become more than just words on a page, as destiny had had a mysterious plan in store.

 Na Rani-Kaz x desi! fem!reader
This fic might not be everyone’s cup of tea as it is directed to Desi readers, i’ve written it from a telugu reader’s perspective, but this is a desi reader, i have not described the reader though, so read it if you want to! contains spoilers for the epic Bahubali movies!
warnings: spoilers, some swearing ig, this is a modern au, so technology and tv exist, this is years into Kaz and reader’s relationship, so he’s comfortable with touch around her. this is pretty short and ngl pretty self-indulgent, i forgot the order of events in the movies, so they may be wrong, killing(part of movie)
tagging: @sirisuorionblack @confuscita @staytrueblue
“ So, angel, what are we watching today?” Kaz asked, settling down on the sofa next to you.
Grinning, you search up the title ‘Bahubali’ on the tv and a movie pops up.
“ Ba-hu-ba-lee?” Kaz butchers the name of the movie
“ Kaz, I know people call you a cold-blooded murdered but please don’t butcher the name of the movie, it hasn’t done anything to you, it’s Bahubali” you emphasize each syllable so you’re boyfriend understands.
“Uh huh, so what’s it about?” he reads the little explanation of the movie under the title, his eyes squinted, “ sounds interesting, let’s watch it!”
“ I’m putting subtitles for you, cause this is in telugu and you can’t understand most of the language.”
“ But I know telugu!” he whines, already eating popcorn.
“  Jaan, the only words you know are ‘yadava, picchoda and gaadida!(idiot, fool and donkey).
“ Fine. put the movie on, with subtitles.” he has an adorable pout on his face.
You peck his lips, causing him to blush, before starting the movie.
>~>~>~>~>~>~>
“ That.. is the most honourable death I have ever seen!” Kaz comments, his eyes wide as the body of the woman in the river is washed away.
“ I know right! Keep watching, that lady is epic!” you agree, eyes not leaving the screen.
~?~?~?~?~?~?~
“ The girl reminds me of you.” Kaz says, referring to Avantika, a warrior princess who is also the love interest.
“ You flatter me darling, keep watching.” you kiss his jaw.
>~>~>~>~>~>~>~
“ Wait so, Shivudu is the queen’s nephew and she adopts him?”
“ Yes! Kaz this scene is the reason I love the queen Shivagami, pay attention!!”
Kaz eyes follow the lady in the purple saree, walking towards the group of men.
Tumblr media
(ugh i love this lady so much)
And when she manages to kill a man, with a baby in her hand, and managing to calm down said baby in ten seconds he begins to clap, and you join in.
“She’s my favourite.” Kaz confirms, his chin resting on you’re head as you curl into him.
“ She’s everyone’s favourite Kaz.” you murmur.
Tumblr media
“SHE’S SITTING ON THE THRONE, WITH BLOOD ON HER FACE AND A BABY IN HER ARMS, SHE JUST KILLED A FEW MEN, THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF EPIC RIGHT NOW!” you shriek, arms in the air, scattering popcorn everywhere.
“ I know love, calm down.” Kaz pulls you back into his arms, kissing the top of you’re head.
“BUT LOOK-”
~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~
As the main character, chops a man’s head off, you put your forefingers in you’re mouth and whistle loudly, startling Kaz.
“ What?”
“ Stop startling me!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“ WAIT THE BALD GUY KILLED BAHUBALI! PUT THE SECOND ONE NOW! I HAVE TO WATCH IT~”
“ Kaz, it’s two in the morning-”
“ I am watching the second one, screw my sleep schedule. You can go tp bed angel.”
“ and let you have the fun? No thank you, put it on.”
~?~?~?~>?~?~?~>~?~?~>~?~>~?~
Thump! Thump!
You bang your fists to your thighs in beat to the song. “ Saahore Bahubali”, singing along.
Kaz stares at you, his mouth open wide. He knew you could sing, but you singing so beautifully, you’re eyes closed, hand up to your ear, other hand extended outwards, swaying from side to side, he thanked whatever saint was up there you existed.
As the song ended, he kissed your cheeks, from behind, making you smile and blush, hiding your face between your palms.
“ Awww my angel is blushing!” he teased, poking your side playfully.
Swatting him away, you laugh and gesture to the tv, “ Watch jaan.”
>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~
“ That’s why? that’s why he was killed? really? ugh that’s sad.” Kaz said as the credits rolled, the movie ending.
“ So what have we learnt jaan?” you ask.
“ Don’t stay up until five in the morning on a work day.” Kaz deadpans.
“ No silly, it’s that Sivagami is our queen, don’t mess with her.” you conclude, getting up and stretching your arms.
Kaz holds your waist and pulls you back onto the sofa, “ Na rani Sivagami kadu, nuvu. Nuvu na rani.”(Sivagami is not my queen, you are) he says in his accented telugu, and with that his lips are on yours and you forget about everything, because to him, you were his queen. You might not have been the queen of Mahishmati, but you were the queen of the Barrel, and you were safe in the arms of the king.
Okay, sometimes, a blabbering worm enters my ears. This time, it is suggesting me to write a TyHil with Bahubali and place Kai as Katappa.
