“I’m so sorry I’m late, I totally got messed up and-“ His words tumble out, you’re barely able to put them together. Nervousness with a breathless quality makes his shaking hands seem all too fitting. You cut him off, wanting to calm him.

“You’re not late, Atsu. You’re two minutes early…”

He stops rambling, eyes wide with such a sweet glow. Smiling, he now replies calmly. “Oh!”

He blushes, as he usually does. He looks down sheepishly, eyes take you in. Noticing your outfit, it’s black and white just as his hair. Purple and yellow accents of color like his eyes. Had you always been this pretty since he arrived?

“You look… sorry! I shouldn’t be looking!” He covers his eyes, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. Peeking out of his hands only when he hears a cute laugh.

“Stop apologizing Atsu… you look cute yourself.” She kisses his cheek, smiling at him.

“You don’t mean that…” He softly grabs her hand, focusing on each finger intertwining with hers.

“I do mean that. You’re cute.” She giggles, squeezing his hand and smiling.

“Thank you… I got you something.” He didn’t want to let go of the hand hold, so he struggles to grab the present in his opposite pocket.

“What?” She tilts her head, confused. He thinks it’s the cutest thing, only growing more embarrassed when he realizes he’s staring. He fumbles with the box.

“Open it.” It’s a necklace, obviously expensive. It is very easy to see he saved up for weeks to buy it. It’s not like the agency payed that much.

“It’s beautiful! Oh my.. oh my.” She hugged him tightly, ecstatic. He hugged back, happy she liked it. “Will you put it on me, Atsushi?!” Without a word he clasps it around her neck. It compliments her skin, the complexion of her tone making the jewel pop.

“Beautiful… absolutely stunning, love.” She looks down shyly, and he melts. That was the plan, to make her happy. The bashful nature was definitely an added bonus.

He continues. “Well, we have a date planned.” He adds shyly, waiting for her to be ready.

“Planned? You made a plan?” He nodded enthusiastically, ready to please. He takes her hand again, walking at her pace.

They go to an…ice cream parlor!

She reaches for her wallet, but he pushes her hand away from the purse. “No no no, I’ll pay”

“But-“

“No buts, what flavor do you want?” He asks, puppy like eyes as he’s ready to pay.

“…vanilla, please.”

“No, what do you really want?” He asked because he knows you don’t wanna waste his money. Trying to take the cheapest option.

“Vanilla and chocolate with hot fudge… and sprinkles. Oh! With strawberries too.”

“That’s more like it.” He smiles and orders. Walking back to the table with a bowl of ice cream.

“Can we share? I mean, it’s okay if you don’t wanna, I can not have any-“

“Shush, Atsu. I would love to share.”

You both begin to eat. But when you try to put your spoon to feed him, he blushes and smiles. Still opening his mouth.

“Tastes better when it’s from you..”

“You know what’s even sweeter?”

“Wh-“ A kiss cuts him off. It’s gentle, soft like a feather on the water.

“Oh, oh wow. That was…”

He grows bold and engages a second kiss.

Eyes glowing with wonder, a love struck face. He speaks.

“I love you.”

How did you discover / get interested in Jellycat? :0 I’m not autistic, but I’m obsessed with Jellycat for some odd reason and I’d love to hear someone with a special interest in it ramble!

HOOO BOY i literally LOVE rambling about jellycats, so this is gonna be a long post!! (also i LOVE your art <3)

so i've always loved plushies, i collected webkinz and build a bears as a kid, but never jellycats. i rediscovered my love for plushies and started collecting webkinz and build a bears again in 2021/2020 respectively, which is why i made kinzplush!

i had never heard of jellycats until june 2021 through tumblr (i think it was through puckandfriends (i can't find his tumblr anymore!)) and i absolutely LOVED how cuddly and floppy they looked! so i bought my first one, a small bashful fudge puppy, on amazon on june 11th, 2021. i had no idea how jellycat sizing worked, though, so he was absolutely TINY!!!! here’s a photo of him for reference:

so then i bought ANOTHER jellycat on amazon, this time a large bashful black and white pup, because i wanted to take him with me to see my boyfriend. but he was coming the day before i left, and i was so anxious i wouldn’t get him in time! so i looked on the jellycat store finder and found out there’s actually a store about 15 minutes away from me that sells them!!

we went the day before i left on the way to a doctor’s appointment for my HRT and i fell head over heels for this medium dusky blue bunny, aka….

PRETZEL!!!!! pretzel has been by my side since june 15th, 2021. they’re the one who really made me fall in love with jellycats!!! we’ve been all over america together, and there’s not a single night where i don’t fall asleep cuddling pretzel. they also use they/them pronouns!

and as a bonus little thing, i said at the beginning that i never had jellycats as a kid. well, one day i remembered this one plush i had as a kid from my grandma – it was a reversible alice in wonderland/queen of hearts doll. i googled them, and found out it was actually a jellycat!!! it was such a cool full-circle moment.

thank you for reading my ramblings 😭 i love my jellycats, they’ve improved my life SO much and i’ve met my closest friends through jellycat. here’s a photo of pretzel now so you can see how scruffy they’ve gotten!

Hello, my dearest Jellycat family. It’s been a while.

I haven’t been feeling myself lately, which explains my lack of posting. It feels like there’s so much going on at once, but at the same time nothing at all. Because I’ve been feeling off, I’ve also felt quite disconnected from most of my special interests, including Jellycats. I miss them and I miss you all. I definitely don’t miss the greedy collectors though, lol. I have quite a few requests in my inbox that I promise I’ll get to at some point.

But for now, I’d like to ask if you could send in some asks and share with me something that has brought you joy recently. It can be Jellycat related, you can send in photos of your best buddies, or it could be something else completely. Let’s spread a little joy and love. I need it. I feel like this community needs it.

Sports Day

so tired these days... realising I’m really getting old now

It was a sports day for Jack. And the BAU, including Henry and Will, were all there to be with Jack and Hotch. It was a delightful day for both Jack and the team. Jack introduced each team member like a real family member to his friends. You and your friends loved how Jack’s eyes twinkled in happiness and joy whenever he saw you watching him running and doing activities. Even the usual stoic face of Hotch was smiling all the time as he encouraged his son along with his friends. Henry, of course, wanted to join Jack, but he couldn’t, so he was pouting a little until the school let the students’ siblings join the tug of war. Despite Jack and Henry’s team having lost the tug of war, they weren’t sad but overjoyed that they could do the activity together. The boys were practically brothers.  Jack adored Henry and played and helped the younger boy as a big brother would do. Just looking at them made you feel so parental.

Lunchtime was also full of laughter and talks. For once, the BAU didn’t discuss anything related to their cases but only focused on the children and how the day would go. Dave brought homemade pizzas, Derek brought drinks including water, JJ and Will brought snacks, Emily brought fruits, Penelope brought salad, Spencer brought a pie platter, and you brought chocolate fudge for dessert. And this food was all for a surprise for Hotch and Jack. The team knew the father and son wouldn’t properly bag lunch unless it was mac and cheese, Jack’s favourite even after eating that for years.

30 minutes after lunchtime, an announcer’s voice echoed in the yard full of children and adults. The announcement was about parents and guardians participating in sports while children rest. 

“Ohh, Hotch’ll ace it!” You said as soon as you heard the announcement. Your friends nodded in agreement so Hotch won’t bunk out.

“I’m sure your dad will top it, kiddo,” Dave ruffled Jack’s hair with a smirk.

Jack looked at his father with admiration in his big puppy eyes.

“I will… do my best.” Hotch glared at all of us, and you all had to stifle your laughter.

There were around 20 adults who were participating. Hotch and others readied to run half of the field. As the starting pistol fired, the runners aimed to arrive at a line made of tables. As soon as the runners arrived at the line one by one, they were given a piece of cardboard. People who received the cardboard started to yell things like ‘I need yellow sunglasses’ and ‘does anyone have a can of lite sprite?’.

But Hotch was different. As soon as he received the cardboard, he started to run towards where everyone was.

“Is he bolting?” Morgan cackled.

“We’re talking about Hotch here,” Reid lightly laughed. 

Hotch didn’t say a word when he arrived. He hastily took your wrist and told you to run with him. Everyone, including you, was confounded at his strange behaviour. But you ran with Hotch because you trusted him. Your heart was jumping loudly, and you were sure it wasn’t because of running.

It was you and Hotch who arrived at the table the first. He showed the cardboard at the referee with a victorious grin.

“The person who comes to my mind right now,” Hotch told the referee and held your hand with his. At that, your skin felt really hot, as if it was steaming. He turned to me and smiled brilliantly, and showed me the cardboard he was shown.

‘Bring a person who comes to your mind at the moment (other than children).’

The referee said something about the winner, and people applauded; everything went back to the background. You only listened to your racing heartbeat as Hotch looked at you with hope.

“I like you, F/L. A lot,” he finally confessed.

When you two returned to your family, you walked slowly across the field as if strolling for sunbath. Your hand was tightly clasping around Aaron’s. Both of you were wearing bashful smiles and greeted by stunned adults and excited children.

I chose this pup over the smudge puppy because of its lovely textured fur I think, again, a lot of littles will love!

This little guy is super floppy, but can also sit upright! The perfect pup for sleepy times or a tea party!

2.) Bashful Truffle & Fudge Bunnies - $25 each

It isn't a Jellycat list without one of their floppy bunnies! These two chocolatey bunnies are pretty similar, so they can share a spot on the list! (Especially since these aren't ranked in any order!)

These bunnies are perfect for any littles who love to collect acorns, jump in leaves and play with sticks! If that sounds fun to you, maybe these little buns are the friends for you!

The ever-loved red fox is, in my opinion, a sure fall icon. This fox is absolutely stunning. This perfect little fox friend has the sweetest face, that looks ready to accompany you on any autumn adventure!
